Copley Cottage

Wow! What a beautiful home! We stayed for two nights and didn’t have a single bad thing to say. We arrived to a bottle of Prosecco and biccies. The house was spacious yet cosy, and beautifully kept. The location was perfect for us as we spent the Friday afternoon at Barnard castle and the Saturday at Hugh force. Both were less than half an hours drive. There was biofuel for the fire, little touches like olive oil, salt pepper and garlic paste so you could cook with the same ease as you would at home. and all the radiators were electric so you could turn them off easy and turn them on by asking Alexa to set the heating to X degrees. I would honestly recommend this to anyone who will listen to me ramble on about how lovely this place was. And make sure you do low force waterfall if you like a little walk as high force waterfall you had to pay a few quid entry fee which we didn’t mind and thought was worth it but ended up preferring low force, and the walk to it from high force was stun!

Stunning views, great walking

Stephanie's cottage is in the most beautiful location. The sat nav given in the instructions takes you right to the gate. We went over New Year, and the cottage is beautifully warm, comfortable, completely equipped with everything you need and spacious. If a uniquely beautiful location, remote and quiet, is what you are looking for on holiday, there cannot be many places that are better situated. The farmer, Donna, was available if we had any questions, and was incredibly friendly and helpful. The scenery is as beautiful as anywhere in the world - this cannot be overstated.

Durham City Garden Haven

Lovely, lovely house and a stunning garden. Our dog absolutely loved it. So close to town whilst being far enough away. Lovely nature reserve for dog walking a short walk away and a parade of local shops in the doorstep. The house was so warm and spacious and had absolutely everything we could have needed. We spent loads of time in the conservatory drinking tea, chatting and looking out at the beautiful garden. We will definitely be looking to book again as we have family near Darlington, so location is ideal. Gillie was a great host, questions answered before we even asked. Lovely, lovely experience, thank you Gillie!

Beautiful City Apartment

Very convenient to train station and city center (though lots of stairs if you have luggage). Well equipped and clean. Host responded promptly about small things that weren’t working. We would have loved to have salt and pepper available, but coffee, tea, biscuits were a nice touch.

Laburnum Cottage, Lanchester

Beautiful cottage, games area was great, really enjoyed ourselves. Hot tub was lovely and the garden area at back was secluded and well maintained. Loved the outdoor shower , great before getting in hot tub but also useful for hosing down a muddy dog. All in all the cottage felt really homely and a little bit of luxury. Emily seems to be a lovely host and always responded quickly to any queries. Will recommend her to friends and family and would certainly consider coming back.
