GH: Comfortable apartment at 3 KM from the center

Compleet ingericht bovenappartement met een groot balkon. Terrein is volledig omheind. Het appartement ligt op 10 minuten rijden van het historische centrum, de Kathedrale Basiliek. In iedere slaapkamer (3)een 2 persoons bed 160x200 met elk een eigen douche en wc. Parkeren naast het huis. Airco in de slaapkamers en woonkamer/keuken. Inbegrepen in de prijs: stroom 20 KWH/dag (ongeveer 8 uren airco en normaal gebruik van overige apparatuur). Kosten voor meer verbruik stroom is Euro 0,30/KWH.

Welcome and enjoy your stay in this beautiful very spacious apartment with herringbone hard wood floor in this colonial style building. Enjoy your morning coffee on the patio with a beautiful view of my neighbours tropical garden. On the south side of the property you will see a pack of large green parrots at the top of the trees every morning around 6-7 am before they migrate to another area of the city. You may spot the occasional green leguana in the trees in the back.

I spent a week here and it was a great experience. The room is quite large with a separate kitchen/enclosed balcony sort of space with a hammock. The kitchen is well equipped with everything you would need. There is also a private patio as well. It was the perfect spot to relax. The area is nice and safe. Its a little hard to get around by foot because of how the streets are set up throughout the city. But there are shops and restaurants you can walk to. After a couple days, I rented a bicycle and it made everything super easy, the streets are very flat and easy to ride on.

Very clean, cozy and perfectly secure accommodation. Very well located near all the museums and shops that we can do on foot. Roxane is a very friendly person and she knows how to make herself available even in delicate moments for us. We will never forget our stay in the large apartment in the beautiful Commewijne area. What a beautiful swimming pool and cozy outdoor accommodation in the garden! Music or birds in the background, everything is there. We were lucky that no one was in the other stay so we were able to experience it really privately. Owner is friendly but clear and in good contact with the tenant by responding quickly to questions. In short: top and especially enjoyed "our house" in Suriname!
