We came to Canada for the collation of our son's grades in Chicoutimi. We wanted a quiet and unique place to stay. We found this pearl in Pierre Luc and Jean François's home. We had a great time at the trapper's cottage. Although we were afraid of being cold when we arrived at the accommodation, we contacted Genessee upon arrival who was very responsive and came to help us turn on the wood burning stove. The space heated very quickly and throughout the stay the indoor temperature was warm even without the wood burner being turned on. Great environment with walks in the estate and up to the reserve where you can see deer. The cottage may seem small from the outside when you arrive, but in reality it is very spacious and large in depth. There were 8 of us and we had plenty of space. Change of scenery and tranquility assured. We would definitely recommend Genessee's homes, which is very friendly, warm and caring.

The cottage was very beautiful, warm and very well located. It was well organized and everything you needed was there. We appreciate the host allowing us to check in early. We recommend this cottage!

The house is nice and very comfortable, large enough to accommodate a family of 10 without being cramped. The windows allow you to enjoy the beautiful river view. The exterior is well maintained and the grounds are private. Everything is very clean and the house is fully equipped. Our favorites in addition to the view of the St. Lawrence: the fireplace and the piano. We'll be back!

We had a great time in this loft. It is very well-equipped, quiet and very well decorated!

We had a pleasant stay. We went to the island for a family meeting so we did not enjoy the cottage as much as we would have liked. The views are extraordinary and it's really quiet. We will definitely go back to enjoy it especially as the chalet is perfect for hosting a lot of guests very comfortably. The hosts are really very friendly and proactive, all the good places to visit were shared with us before our arrival. The information provided by the hosts about the stay was very clear and complete, our stay went without stress and without any other necessary communication, which allowed us to enjoy our stay 100%. We had a pleasant stay at Renée's! Although the accommodation is in the basement, it does not take away from the charm of the accommodation and the view there! A peaceful oasis that we greatly appreciated! We recommend it without hesitation.

Wonderful view!! Perfect for a après-ski spa! The place must be pleasant in every season as it is equipped with everything to please.

I don’t know how to convey our delight and satisfaction with Bernard and Francine as our hosts. They met us at check in and spent a great deal of time going over everything and recommending sights, experiences and eating establishments. We felt so at home in their beautiful home and so appreciated their amazing hospitality. Thank you so very much. We will be back again and again!!!

We had wonderful 4 days at Yves place. Layout is very smart. Wonderful windows and light. Bed very comfortable. Happily cooked in the kitchen. It is well positioned to walk to the old city and along the St. Lawrence River. On the other side of the Marina is an urban garden with the most amazing veggies. We had wonderful neighbors during out stay in the sister house boat next to us. Looking forward to coming back.

We loved this location! It was an easy walk to restaurants and shops. The boat was clean and had a great view of the city. Yves was an excellent host…very attentive to questions. We throughly enjoyed our stay and would absolutely stay here again!

This chalet condo is impeccable,pleasant and complete. The kitchen is more than perfect with everything you need for cooking which is very rare. The wood burning stove is a bonus and what about the view🤩.It's beautiful, we enjoyed our 4 night stay. Merciiiiii

Great spacious house in a great location, walking distance to the water and a 13 km trail. House had everything you needed; pots, pans, oils and spices. I can’t wait to stay again!

Exceptional stay in winter in this very cozy and warm chalet. The view of the Saint Laurent is crazy and transforms every day . Access may seem complicated but in the end there is no problem and if the ice threatened to prevent us from passing our host immediately ordered a snowmobile. We recommend for the location!
