Private suite vacation rentals in Channel Islands

Sylvie and Thierry were very hospitable. They gave us lots of restaurant recommendations, things to do, walks in the area. The place was great for 2 people, clean and tidy. A small bonus for the barbecue that allowed us to spend a very good evening outdoors. We had a lovely stay, thank you very much to Sylvie and Thierry for hosting us!

The Bungaloo is ideal for a 2 person stay. Well equipped, clean and tidy. Kath is a great host. Communication with her was great, friendly and helpful, especially when I somehow managed to murder the toaster! Bed was comfortable and the shower was really good. Everything we needed was supplied, with a great welcome pack. Waking up to the sound of the birds in the aviary was great. It’s a minute walk to the Jolly Sailor where you can get a great meal. A few more minutes and I’d recommend the Old Sardine Factory. The seafood chowder is to die for. There’s a great deli and a Spar shop a minute away. It’s a 10 minute walk over the bridge to East Looe. Sarah’s Pasty shop do the best pasties and Martin’s Dairy do delicious bread. Easy for the coastal path to Talland or Polperro. We got the bus to Polperro from next to the fire station and then walked back. We’ll definitely return as we loved our stay so much.

Melanie's little house is a haven of peace nestled in the heart of the countryside. The amenities, cleanliness, and quality of the bedding make it a really comfortable place to stay. Melanie is responsive, friendly and available I recommend this rental

We had a hard time finding the apartment, however, to be fair, there were many roads being changed to one way or closed for other reasons, diverting traffic. Richard was amazing, doing everything possible to help us get to property. We loved staying there, Richard helped us with a couple of things that needed fixing and even had walking maps for helping me to do my walk around the island and suggested a great free app to put on my phone, which turned out better at keeping me on track than the ones I already had that I had paid for. We loved the peace and quiet of being away from the built-up areas. Thank you again.

Very peaceful quiet location, lovely private garden. Fab kitchen Great location for nearby popular towns stunning beaches and lots to do. Beautiful village of Portesham. Kelly’s place immaculate/clean very user friendly , high spec bathroom with bath and shower, very comfortable bed , beautiful decor/furniture. Lots of light in every room. Lovely private garden stocked with interesting greenery , clematis, silver birch, grass mowed everything tidy. We were visiting mid April when the lilac and wisteria were showing off their blooms which reach the bedroom windowsill. Beautiful views from all the windows. Helpful and prompt responses from Kelly. Eg we needed new batteries in the TV remote and Kelly came straight away after I messaged her.

Alison was a super, friendly host and the gite was as described. Beautiful surroundings - thanks to Alison's prowess as a gardener - and very peaceful. Meticulous instructions given as to how to find the location. Thank you, Alison.

Sue's place was like a home from home. It had everything we needed and it was clean and cosy. It was in a peaceful location and the only sound we heard was the moos of the cows from the farm. It was the perfect base to explore Hope Cove, Salcombe and Kingsbridge. Had a very enjoyable stay.

We arrived in the late evening after announcement, which was no problem. Very nice host, super communicative and accommodating. Furnishings as in the photos, but everything clean and perfect sufficient. Looking forward to seeing you again!

The home was exactly as described. It was clean and had everything to make our stay comfortable. It is conveniently located just outside the main town with many shops and restaurants. The host Ashley replied to my emails very quickly and was most helpful. I can definately recommend this property and will be retuning.

Great stay, used as a stop over for sons rugby festival in Launceston. Host set up sofa bed without being asked, we arrived at 10:30 at night due to travelling down the night before festival so we did not have to have a 5:30am start. Great location 7 minutes away from our destination, host allowed late check in. Only thing we struggled with was key box in dark and no signs so we walked around house two times to find correct box.

Maxime is very responsive. The accommodation is very nice and clean. The little exterior is a real plus. The environment is very quiet. We had a pleasant stay and we'll come back without hesitation.

The host was amazing very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation was spotless and was home from home. We were left presents...local marmalade, shortbread biscuits and chocolates on Easter Sunday. We would definitely come again .

Thank you so much Bonnie this place was exactly what we needed with all the little amenities you could want. Very close to a corner shop and a little walk away from the town centre. We thought it was going to be smaller from previous reviews but were pleasantly surprised at how comfortable we were. All was wonderfully clean too with a very comfortable bed! We would definitely stay here again.

The Pitstop is super cosy and clean, just right for a few nights stay. Laura welcomed me when I arrived as it was dark and helped me get in, she had also bought me some milk, which I really appreciated. The accommodation is perfectly located to visit surrounding towns.

What a fantastic accommodation choice. Brilliantly presented and equipped with absolutely everything that you could need. Dee and Steve were fantastic hosts, providing facilities above and beyond the normal. As we were walking the Tamara Way this provided a perfect stop off at the end of day two.

We loved it, I recommend it if you want to meet up and spend some quiet time. It's the perfect apartment, we'll be happy to come back as soon as possible. 😁

Simply can not recommend this place enough! The area is fantastic and having the opportunity to relax in a hot tub under the stars is something everyone should experience at some point. The property is in a lovey village with everything in reach. The local food and bar scene are equally amazing with Plymouth not too far away. A lot of culture to fit in, I wish we’d stayed longer. Holls went above and beyond to make us welcome and comfortable. And we will definitely be returning! 10/10.

Wonderful base from which to explore this beautiful part of the world. Comfortably fitted out with everything I needed. The annexe is surrounded by garden and it was lovely to wake up to the sound of birds and the elements. It’s a short walk down the hill into the picture pretty village, with the village shop very well stocked for basic provisions and the pub and Otterton Mill for meals out. There were great suggestions for scenic local walks to Budleigh Salterton, Bicton Gardens and along the River Otter, which I tried out. I had total privacy during my stay but it was great to know Jackie and family were next door in case of emergency as I was travelling alone.

A really lovely place to stay, perfect for our reunion weekend and in a great location. Luckily we were staying with a Jersey local so didn’t need a guide or recommendations but the hosts were extremely helpful and very friendly! We’d definitely stay again!
