We had a lovely stay in Manteigas, exploring Torre and a few walks that Ines had suggested. Very quiet place to stay, lots of room and a lovely view.

The place was better than expected. Joao and Susana make sure you feel at home, weither it is in communication or in the well equipped house with attention to detail. (In real everything was more beatiful than in the pictures). The farm is situated in between small hills, far from city busyness into a calm oases. We recommend taking a walk up the hill behind the house untill the top, it's an easy walk with an amazing view. You need a car to get there, for dinner you would have to drive 15-30 minutes (or ofcourse cook at home). Google often says a place is open, but often it is not :) Susana can give you the right places. There were cats walking around which was a big plus for us. They show you the way around a bit and they ofcourse like the attention. Unfortunately for us the weather was too cold for a good swim, but the pool is quite big and we would love to return to try it for a little bit longer ;)! We were surprised by this place in a good way, it's another beautiful part of Portugal and staying at Joao and Susanas place, makes it perfect.

Place is great in a quiet location in the countryside with good ammenities including pool and outdoor seating. The third bed option could be a bit more comfy (pull out bed) but otherwise everything was wonderful. João is a really friendly host and allowed us to pick blueberries for breakfast which were delicious. Recommend staying here!

The pictures do not do justice to the beauty and the house area! Very beautiful space, with several leisure areas, interior courtyards, decorated with very good taste! The area where the pool is located (500 meters from the accommodation, in a very beautiful park) is huge, with trampolines, swings, hammocks and dining tables. The location of Juncais is perfect for tours to other locations in the Serra. We loved it!

It was a fantastic stay, in a different space but very cozy and perfect to escape the city. The home was beautiful and so was all the common spaces. The great pool and perfect for relaxing in privacy and in the middle of nature. Thank you ☺️

Our family stay at this magical country home was nothing short of extraordinary! From the moment I arrived, I felt like I had stepped into a more peaceful world. The setting is breathtaking—peaceful, serene, and nestled into the edge of the Serra da Estrella mountains. Every detail of the property is thoughtfully designed to create a cozy and enchanting atmosphere. The host was absolutely amazing—warm, welcoming, and attentive to every detail. They went above and beyond!

We had a wonderful stay with Carmo and Beto! They were exceptional hosts, always ready to help us with everything we needed, from firewood to information about the area. We had the privilege of attending the Réveillon dinner with the village community, an unforgettable and authentic experience that brought us even closer to the place and the people. In addition, the space is cozy and perfect for those who travel with animals, which are very well received. We recommend this stay to everyone seeking genuine hospitality and unique moments! It's not my first time coming to Mr. António's house anymore. And I love it whenever I come. No doubt I will return, always with the certainty that it will always be amazing.

I stayed for 2 nights with my family and the house was really cozy and welcoming. Good kitchen and heating, always warm water, extra blankets if you're cold - would definitely come back.

Lovely ancient village house. Clean in a special way. The house is heated by a wooden fireplace. Please request that the fireplace be activated at least half a day before arrival, otherwise the house is cold.

Very pleasant stay; very good welcome from Viriato and her mother , welcome gifts with good jam , local cheese. House with pool, secluded in the hills , quiet with views of the mountains . Ideal for the dog! Very satisfied.
