Vacation rentals with breakfast in Carmen Beach

I loved this space at Dream Sea Surf Camp! The design and decor of the room was so inspiring, and I loved the open shower! The common areas of the surf camp are welcoming and beautiful - the landscaping is amazing! On top of all of these positive attributes, the best part was: the vibe, the guests and the employees!!!-- oh and also- the proximity to the stunning nearby beach, Playa Hermosa! Congrats to Dream Sea for bringing a beautiful vision to manifest form--- and through that, giving others the opportunity to create beautiful memories in a gorgeous location!

Wow! What an amazing place! Right on an empty beach and the cutest house! We had a great stay here and are already dreaming of coming back especially when a pool is added!

Great place, worth the money.

Rosemarie is the sweetest soul. She’s such a kind and welcoming presence. Very easy going and accommodating. All her recommendations are on point also! Her massage was the best massage I’ve ever had. She’s always studying to better herself and her healing capabilities. Very knowledgeable about how the body and mind are connected and how to release the tension. Came as a guest, left as a friend. Can’t wait to visit and see her again!

Wow! this place is absolutely beautiful with so much history! The house has its history but what made all that special were the host Michael and Elizabeth! They were the most amazing host! Very attentive and full of knowledge, and vitality. One thing that is a must do is to sit with them, share your time and hear about their life. I'm in awe and truly inspired! I cannot thank them enough for their hospitality. We will miss them and their home. We will definitely stay there again when we return to CR!

I had a fantastic stay at Evi’s place! The space was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The place was peaceful and safe, and everything I needed was nearby. I’d definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to others!

I work remote and took my work to the mountains. I stayed at this hotel for a whole month. The mountains are beautiful and amazing to wake up to every morning. The sunrises and star gazing on this mountain was phenomenal. The fruitful trees that the monkeys have to climb daily was so inspiring to watch how God provides to all species. The sounds of the birds singing in the jungle was a great experience for my morning coffee. And last but not least the amazing staff here! I am blessed to have found this wonderful place to stay for a month! The food was amazing, and the service was excellent. Staff responded timely and very helpful. Great WiFi connectivity, electricity worked well, plenty of hot water. You will need a 4x4 vehicle or a taxi that provides it. Beaches are nearby and the culture was great to visit and explore. I see why this area specifically is the blue zone. Pura vida lives in this mountain top. Definitely recommend. Can’t wait to visit again. Glamping!!

Villa Alta has the most remarkable hosts and is a very spacious, clean, and inviting home! This home is in a very quiet neighborhood, and yes there are lots of dogs at all the homes, but I never heard them when I was sleeping. There are beautiful views of the mountains and the bay, you can sometimes hear the mono congos in the nearby forest when you sit on the deck, which I did often, enjoying the cool breeze or the rain falling. I would suggest you have a vehicle as it is not easy to get to a market or the nearby towns, which have some interesting history and sometimes shows. Hope you catch the local dancing demonstrations in Esparza! I will return if just even to visit with Jose and Leda, who everyone should take time to get to know! Best examples of Pura Vida!

Danny is a super helpful and kind guy. He also gave us a lot of useful information for restaurants and beaches... The gentlemen who live under the apartment are very sweet, they prepared breakfast for us and washed our clothes with great pleasure. Highly recommended for the home and especially for hospitality

Totally enjoyed staying here---lovely staff, comfortable and well equipped space, breakfast was a GREAT quality compared to many "included" in other places in my experience! Berny and Lily at the info desk at the sister hotel two doors down (Locanda I think it was called) were super helpful and showed classic Costa Rican friendliness, and integrity with the info about transports and activities in the zone. I would 100% recommend.

My husband and I needed some rest and we found it at the Innerlight Yoga lodge. The location is exceptional! Playa Sámara is set in a bay, so swimming is much more peaceful. The day started with a yoga class given by Federica, followed by a homemade breakfast. Everything was great. And what about the pool in which we were refreshing at the end of the day! Federica is an outstanding yoga teacher and host. She takes care of this stunning place with her husband Roberto. We'll definitely go back!

Casa Santosha is a special place … an oasis of green 50 metres from the ocean on a quiet Street … Sandra the owner is a great communicator and even when the Air bnb app was not working properly she got back to me. Antonia the caretaker is one of the kindest person you will ever meet and she is always willing to Assist. I stay here for a month. October 7-November 7/21. Dousing this time I got very sick with a lung 🫁 infection. When I knew I needed a doctor and a hospital Sandra acted so quickly and the doctor came and airlifted me to San Jose. sandra checked on me frequently during my 8 days there. Antonia cleaned my place and did my laundry 🧺… I came back to a clean house and got to enjoy the kindest and hospitality at this hidden gem 💎 thanks Sandra and Antonia 🎉🎉🎉🙏🙏🙏

The place is beautiful and well organized. Close to the Los Sueños Beach club, and Marina. Sometimes you get to see and hear the scarlet macaws near by, but the condo itself is very quiet. Host is wonderful, very helpful and responsive to our questions.

We had an amazing stay at inner-light yoga and left feeling rejuvenated physically, mentally, and spirituality. The pool in the backyard as well as the yoga studio and landscaping throughout the property, were beautiful. We thoroughly enjoyed Federica’s 7am yoga, followed by a healthy and delicious breakfast at 8am made by her husband! Great location with plenty of restaurants and the beach within walking distance. Highly recommend the reiki and massage provided on the property. Would gladly come back again and recommend it to other guests looking for a relaxing stay.

Lovely property right on the beach. Breakfast and use of the pool at their sister property a couple doors down was a huge plus. Staff was responsive and very helpful. Beach was safe, enjoyable and overall a great place for families.

We had an incredible stay at this bed and breakfast. The owners, who also run the place themselves, have put so much care into every detail—right down to the beautiful, functional furniture they built themselves. They truly nailed both the “bed” and “breakfast” aspects—we left feeling completely rested and refreshed. One tip for future guests, especially during the peak of the dry season: embrace the afternoon heat rather than fighting it. Take advantage of the thoughtful amenities—make a refreshing glass of iced tea or water (everything you need is provided), turn on the air, close the shades, and relax on the exceptionally comfortable beds. Even a nap isn’t a bad idea! By around 4:00 PM, it cools off enough to fully enjoy the pool, play darts, or challenge someone to a game of billiards. This is a truly special place, and we’d absolutely stay here again!

Surrounded by lush jungle greenery and just minutes from the beach, it feels like a hidden gem where nature and comfort coexist perfectly. The container-based architecture is not only unique and stylish, but it also blends beautifully with the environment—modern, minimal, and eco-conscious. Waking up to the sounds of the jungle, sipping coffee on the deck, and walking to the waves in the morning made this stay unforgettable. The entire vibe is peaceful, grounding, and inspiring. Every corner feels thoughtfully designed and deeply connected to nature. Can’t wait to come back—thank you for creating this slice of paradise!

Great location and experience! Wonderful place to connect with other like minded travellers, connect with nature, and yourself. Access to surfing lessons, short walk to beach, refreshing pool, and yummy breakfasts, and new clean rooms.

Wonderful place to stay, cute and clean. Easy walk down a steep hill with stairs to a beach. Bioluminescence night kayak tour was beautiful. Everyone was friendly and helpful. Breakfast was delicious. And we really enjoyed watching the Howler monkeys that were hanging around.

My time at Joes place was enjoyable, the place is cozy and the people taking care of the place are lovely. Beach, cafes and great restaurants are all within few minutes walking. I would recommend!

Claudine is a sweet soul. She was very kind. She met us outside of the property as we arrived after dark. She showed us to our room. She invited us to breakfast in the am and we took her up on it. Such a beautiful setting and yummy breakfast she prepared. We loved the place and Claudine! Great stay!

My mother and I loved this location, very peaceful and beautiful, right on the beach. We could see the ocean from our window. There were dogs and horses that pass through in the yard and along the beach, and many different animals like birds, iguanas and red squirrels. The sunsets were best viewed from just a short walk down the beach where you can catch it touch the water passed the mountains. And it’s only about a 20 mins walk down the beach from the town of Samara. German was a very attentive and kind host and we enjoyed his very chill atmosphere and his dog Josefina.
