Vacation rentals with a pool in Caniçada

Paulo’s home was one of the most beautiful places we have ever stayed! We could not get enough of the view and the tranquility. He and Isabel made us feel so welcome in their home and made wine tasting reservations for us and we arrived to fresh bread, local cheese (amazing), butter, jam and milk. Everything we needed. Our favorite thing was to sit with a glass of wine while looking over the Duora Valley and watching the hawks soar overhead! We hope to be back again for a longer stay. Can’t recommend enough!

The countless reviews say it all: this place and Murilo's hospitality are both exceptional. Best to check it out for yourself as my review won't do it justice. A few highlights: the kitchen is fully equipped, the space is family friendly, and the landscape is amazing. This is my favorite airbnb booking, and I travel a lot. I highly recommend staying at this place – you won’t be disappointed! The house is located in a small village, where half of the houses are part of a tourist complex. The people working on this project truly put their time, effort, and love into it. If you want to feel close to nature and enjoy the most beautiful view from the window, this place is for you. The house is very clean, cozy, and has everything you need to feel comfortable. The only thing I would suggest is to buy groceries in advance, as we couldn’t find a grocery store nearby (or didn’t ask about its location). If you don’t like cats, this place is probably not for you. But since I love cats, it was a big bonus for me. André was always available, and whenever I reached out to him, he responded right away. It’s a beautiful house in a picturesque location, and I would definitely return here again.

Huset levede fuldt ud op til billederne. Beliggenheden er helt fantastisk, fredelig og med uforlignelig udsigt til Douro, og sejladsen på floden og det gamle tog, der kører på modsatte bred. Servicen fra Gabriella og Sephi var helt enestående, vi blev guidet op ad den stejle vej til huset første gang af Gabriella. Fin service, når man bor i et fladt land som Danmark. Og Sephi forklarede os om sin vingård fra terrassen med den allerbedste udsigt til Douro. Vi satte meget pris på begge værters hjælpsomhed.

Het huis is fantastisch: modern en uitstekend geoutilleerd en met een mooi zwembad. In de advertentie staat dat je er van een prachtige zonsondergang kunt genieten en dat klopt helemaal. Het uitzicht is prachtig en de zonsondergang betoverend. En de vogels fluiten er lustig op los. Bárbara is een geweldige host. Zorgt voor uitstekende informatie over het huis en activiteiten en attracties in de buurt. Zij en haar ouders zijn steeds bereikbaar en zorgen voor alles, zelfs voor het brood in de ochtend.

Amazing! Sonia and Sergio have created a beautiful home with everything you need. We enjoyed beautiful views, gorgeous sunrises and sunsets and enjoyed the local wineries. Their home is very clean and they themselves are great hosts. We would definitely stay again.

This was a wonderful Airbnb with a great location. The layout of the house was very nice, with thoughtful design woven in throughout. The location was very convenient for walking by foot to restaurants or visiting the downtown. I wish I could have stayed longer :)!

The most fantastic stay, we will definitely be back! The location and accommodation was even better than the photos and the host and staff were so friendly and approachable. The views from the entire place were fantastic. A very private and peaceful stay, and the breakfast baskets were very generous, full of fresh fruit, bread etc. We did a wine tasting on the vineyard and it was so reasonably priced and great wine. There was also a lovely peacock and cat that roamed the vineyard and came to say hello on occasion. Both pools were fantastic! Thank you for a really memorable holiday 🥰.

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour, le logement proposé était totalement en accord avec ce que nous avions vu sur les photos, très propre avec des meubles de bonne qualité, très calme. La maison est magnifique, tres bien entretenue et le jardin superbe (bravo aux propriétaires pour l’entretien!). André et sa femme sont très agréables et plein d’attentions (par exemple nous avons reçu de la menthe et des citrons de leur jardin). Bien que la maison soit habitée par les propriétaires, le jardin privatif du logement et son entrée séparée donne un vrai sentiment d’intimité. L’accès à la piscine est bien appréciable quand il fait chaud. Bien que le logement soit un peu loin des commerces (seulement une boulangerie et pharmacie à proximité), cela est largement compensé par un environnement très calme et reposant pour des vacances ! Nous reviendrons sûrement lors d’un prochain passage dans la région. Merci André pour votre accueil et à bientôt !

Een fantastisch verblijf gehad in dit bijzondere appartement! De inrichting is met veel smaak gedaan en de kamers zijn ruim en comfortabel. Binnen was het heerlijk van temperatuur, ook tijdens warme dagen. Absolute hoogtepunt: de rooftop-keuken met zwembad – een geweldige plek om te ontspannen, te koken en te genieten van het zonnetje (of de natuurlijke schaduw). We hebben hier een heerlijke dag doorgebracht. Dankjewel voor de gastvrijheid, we komen graag nog eens terug!

A Francisca, para além de ser extremamente simpática, é super disponível e ajuda em tudo o que for necessário. Todos os espaços da casa estavam limpos e preparados para nos receber. Gostámos imenso da experiência e, por isso, recomendamos vivamente!

Absolutely stunning gardens.. a piece of heaven in the middle of a City. Very nice place !

The apartment is very beautiful and in a great central area. We went everywhere by foot. The communication with Daniel was perfect, he is very nice and responded quickly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

Super Gastgeber und super Apartment. Wunderbare Anlage, bewacht, mit Blick auf den Fluss. Wir hatten ein Auto dabei welches in der Tiefgarage geparkt wurde und wir sind auf die beiden Fahrräder die zur Verfügung standen umgestiegen um in die Stadt zu kommen(20min am Fluss entlang). Wir würden jederzeit in Porto die Unterkunft wieder anmieten.

Our stay was excellent! Elsa was over the top in every way! We had a gift of wine and custard tarts when we got there, Elsa arranged a reservation at an amazing restaurant and she responded quickly to any inquiry. Would definitely come back to this beautiful sanctuary.

Lovely villa and perfect for a multi generation family get away. The hosts were lovely and communicative. The villas outside place is beautiful.
