This is a stunning place secluded away from anything nearby. Great for a retreat to be restful, listen to nature and admire the beautiful horses. Cheila was an incredible host, super responsive to any questions or comments and gave us some beautiful lemons from her tree. The house is really well throughout and all amenities are included. A nosa estancia foi excelente. O aloxamento era moi cómodo, limpo e completamente equipado, polo que nos sentimos como na casa dende o primeiro momento. A cama era moi confortable e descansamos moi ben todas as noites. A ubicación era ideal, nunha zona tranquila perfecta para desconectar. Sen dúbida, un dos grandes atractivos foi a piscina: ampla, limpa e perfecta para refrescarse e relaxarse ao sol. A anfitriona foi moi atenta e amable, sempre dispoñible para calquera dúbida. It's an amazing place😍 to fully enjoy nature, sleep with the sound of the river in the background and wake up with the beautiful view of the trees. It's spectacular, the cabins are beautiful, we enjoyed the jacuzzi and the pool, Manuela is a wonderful host, attentive, very kind and close, we felt right at home. I'll definitely repeat the experience.

The location is perfect—everything is within walking distance, including all the main attractions. There are also many good restaurants nearby. Despite being centrally located, the apartment was very quiet, with no noise at night. It's ideal for a vacation with a child.

On the positive side, the place lived up to its description. Fatima was incredibly friendly and went above and beyond to make our experience better. There were enough parking spaces for three cars. On the negative side, the hot water reservoir wasn't sufficient for ten people to take showers. As a result, some of us had to take cold showers every day. Additionally, the location is situated on narrow roads, making it challenging to reach by car.

We received a very warm welcome from Bartolo. Interesting, old apartment, part of a much larger farmhouse building. Antique furnishings and high ceilings give this Airbnb a very quaint feel, like going back in time. Plenty of blankets and hot water bottles for the unseasonable chilly nights on our arrival. We loved the ambience, the creative renovations which were being carried out whilst we were there, didn’t hinder our stay in any way. Beautiful views, animals in the grounds, wonderful kind people, made our trip very special. We took the train into glorious old Porto from Mindelo, leaving our hire car nearby. Do walk along the boardwalk in the nature reserve on the coast nearby. Characterful old villages and towns nearby for coffees and meals out. The Romantico drive along the Douro is a must, choose a dry day for the glorious views. We toured the old city and loved both sides of the river. Lots of musicians play there, it was a pleasure to lunch, listen and relax.

The stay was excellent: The house, the impeccable pool, the surroundings, the vineyards, and the kindness and excellence of the hosts. The vacation days we spent here were ideal. The best on the route. We were next to Amarante, which pleasantly surprised us, and other cities to visit, 1 hour drive away. Thanks Osvaldo and Magdalena and family for being such good hosts!

Manuel and Rosaria are lovely and very considerate people, who anticipate the possible needs of the tenants of the cottage. It was very easy for us to communicate with them despite the language barrier. When we arrived, we were able to taste Portuguese specialties. The cottage is very well-equipped, very clean and very conveniently located for visiting northern Portugal. The property is beautiful, with different spaces, garden, pool, vines and animals. I would highly recommend this rental. Thank you very much to Manuel and Rosaria for hosting us.

AWESOME! Thank you to Sofia for her kindness and availability. The house is great, modern with roof the necessary equipment. The garden is great, resting his parents live there and special mention for them. Dad filled the pool and gave sunbeds so we could make the most of it and thank you to the mom who gave us fresh eggs from the chicken coop. Thank you for everything we enjoyed our stay immensely.

It was fantastic time in the Tue’s house. The garden is really spectacular.

We had a great time in Afife and enjoyed our stay at Joaos place. The location was very quiet (except the Honda shop across the street in the daytime) and Afife has not much to offer, which was okay for us but should be known in advance if you plan on eating outside. Porto is great to be reached by train and the beach is very close. With 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms there’s enough space for a big group and everything was very comfortable. The pool was open already and was cleaned during our stay. The only thing which I would point out on the negative side is that when we arrived it smelled a bit mouldy, probably due to the rainy weather and the fact that 3 of the bathrooms don’t have windows. The staircase to the lower part of the house is very steep. That’s a fact you should know when travelling with small kids. Joao was perfect to contact and always responded quickly whenever there were any questions. Thanks for having us. We would totally recommend to stay at his place.

We stayed at Andre’s place in May 2025, we absolutely loved the house it was lovely being private and in a good peaceful location, an extra that wasn’t on the advert is the fact the biggest bedroom has an en-suite perfect for families! Swimming pool was great but could’ve done with being slightly deeper in one end but it’s perfect for what you need especially with kids. The only thing I would say was a negative was the fact the house has no washing machine ( this is stated in the advert ) but even a tank to wash clothes would make families feel happier to wash there clothes while on holiday. Make sure you have a car when you rent this property as it’s well hidden from the rest of the world! Perfect stay here well recommended and can’t wait to stay here again!

We had a great time at Joshua's place. The listing is exactly as described and is conveniently located for visiting Porto. We particularly enjoyed the garden, the swimming pool, the welcome and the assistance of Josue's parents and, especially during the power outage that affected the area for more than 8 hours! Thanks to the BBQ, the restaurants remaining closed for lack of electricity, we were able to grill and feed our family of 10…our grandchildren also enjoyed the friendly presence of the pony, the goats and the pig in the pens of the garden. We would recommend this lovely listing.

The simplicity of the place and the houses does not compromise the quality of the experience, providing an environment where you feel at home. One of the most notable points is the complete isolation of the site. This feature guarantees an atmosphere of tranquility, ideal for those looking for a refuge away from the noise and hustle and bustle of urban life. Peace and silence are predominant, excellent for walking tours, reading, photographs, etc. In addition, we had the opportunity to interact with the very friendly and kind locals allowing us to participate with the children in their tasks with the animals. In short, this space is an excellent choice for those looking for a simple but welcoming environment. Super - everything was perfect!

Very cozy house with everything necessary. None of it. Totally recommendable. The dog had a great time on the big estate. It's all fenced except somewhere at the end of the estate, but it's away from the house. So no problem

We had such an amazing time. I can't see how this stay could have been better. It was just perfect. The friendly and peaceful montain house to disconnect from city center on the weekend. Thank you again for hosting us. Totally recommand you to go ! We'll come back asap !
