Vacation rentals in Campo de Víboras

Where to begin. We chose Jesse’s place to begin our family trip to Portugal and it set the tone in all the right ways. From the recommendations to take a tour with Nuno & Grapeland to dinner cooked by the neighbors, we didn’t want to leave. Jesse & his neighbors even helped us out of a ‘rite of passage’ moment when we got our car a bit stuck on a vineyard road during the nationwide power outage. We truly hope to return one day and the memories of this trip will last us a lifetime. The photos will never do the place justice as it consistently took our breath away.

Such a wonderful place and wonderful hosts! It’s remote, too far normally to walk to town, but our hosts did a great job of supplying us with breakfast food and wine, so we were never without the important things. This is a very old house, located in a small farm town. The house is tucked in the back of the street and can be a bit hard to find. Luckily one of the friendly neighbors pointed me to the place and I just parked outside the house. I would recommend this house if you’re looking to experience what it’s like to live in a typical house in this area. Not the most modern but it’s fun for a short stay.

Phillipa and Paul were absolutely lovely to work with and their property is unbelievable! We felt like we owned a Quinta for a few nights! we got to explore the property, visit with Paul and one of their sons, and savor the beauty of the Douro. They were proactive with communication and sourced a number of wonderful adventures, activities and meals. Without their guidance our trip would have been less fun!

Nestled in wine territory, with a 5 minute drive up winding roads to the top of the hillside in Folgosa, the home gave spectacular views of the Douro Valley! Mimi recommended restauants, wineries and other areas of interest which we found extremely helpful. All the recommendations were exactly as she described and all were fabulous. We enjoyed the fact that home's location was within 20 -30 minute of Lamego, Peso da Regua & Pinhao which allowed us day trips. Then back to the lanai for sitting by the pool, watching sunsets and drinking wine!
