Vacation rentals with breakfast in Bruce County

Our stay with Barry was excellent. The location was amazing, the property was clean and cozy, and the home-cooked breakfasts were great. Barry was a kind and incredibly knowledgable host, with great recommendations (and maps!) for nearby hikes, activities, and restaurants. The location made it a great getaway from the city -- it was very quiet, and at night there is next to no light pollution. Although we had overcast skies on our nights here, we certainly would have been able to do stargazing just by driving a few minutes down the road. This is a great place to stay if you're interested in the nearby hiking trails (e.g. Lion's Head Lookout, Bruce Peninsula National Park, Devil's Monument, etc.). Even if you're simply looking for a nice getaway from the city, I would highly recommend staying at the Lofty heights BnB. Small note: since cell service is quite spotty, we recommend downloading road maps and/or trail maps prior to visiting, although if you forget, Barry had plenty of maps to help plan excursions.

We really enjoyed our stay here. Sean is a great host, very responsive and friendly, and had lots of suggestions and information about things to see and do in the area. This is a very quiet and peaceful setting. The porch is a great place to sit, soak up the quiet surroundings, listen to the birds, and sip my morning coffee.

A rarity! Jeff’s B and B is exactly what a B and B should be: comfortable, attractive accommodation in a welcoming environment with a lovingly prepared breakfast. Jeff is an excellent host, most amiable and inviting, a pleasure to spend time with. We look forward to a return visit.

Kathleen was an absolutely charming host. We slept like stones and had a delicious breakfast with quality local and/or organic produce as well as home made sour dough bread.

I hike around the Bruce Peninsula area frequently, and like to stay in the South part of the Peninsula (easy access to more "off the beaten path" parts of the Bruce trail Peninsula section). Jeff's BNB is by far the nicest spot I've stayed in the area, and by far the best value. Jeff was a great host, and it was a pleasure to get to know him. The house is beautiful, especially if you are into historical houses. Breakfast was also perfect. I will definitely be back, and I highly recommend his BNB.

Great spot to explore Georgian bay. Kathleen made us delicious vegan breakfasts both days and had a beautiful sitting and games room available for guests. The beds were so comfortable and the area was quiet.

Our stay at Applewood was excellent! We were in town for a wedding and were looking for somewhere to stay, Kathleen's B&B was conveniently right in town and very close to the venue. There is lots of food/shops within walking distance, and it was a short walk to the waterfront. The room was clean and comfortable (the bed was amazing!) and you can tell she puts lots of heart into her space. She was very kind and friendly. Breakfast was so good both days! Thank you Kathleen we had a wonderful stay!

Beautiful country getaway!! The little apartment has everything you need, fridge, microwave, stove etc. It was super clean and nice and private with its own separate entrance. Linda are John were lovely! Extremely kind and helpful. We sat on the deck at the front of the house in the evening with some wine and snacks and watched the sunset. If you are an animal lover this is the place for you! The cats kept us very entertained and we took riding lessons on the horses, (Linda is a really fantastic instructor). Really lovely little place to get away from the hustle and bustle and enjoy the country and the horses!

Great location with flexible check-in and parking! Close to the harbour and groceries as well (walkable distance away). If there was just one thing, its a bit of a smaller space (but more than enough for a single person), so make sure you're comfortable sharing if you have a second guest!

This is my 5th time staying at the Friendly Owl! Teresa and Sahand have such a wonderful little haven in Lions Head. Excellent breakfasts, a comfortable bed and a large outdoor space with hammocks and a fire pit. Less than a ten minute drive to the Lions Heads loop trail head. Always a pleasure to come back!

I had a great stay. This is like an old school bed-and-breakfast where your host actually makes you breakfast! At first, I was a little nervous about having a shared bathroom, however, it is very clean and I never had to wait to use it. I enjoyed conversations with Micha and other guests in the morning over breakfast. Very close to downtown Owen Sound!

From the moment we arrived, Vicki & Mark made us feel completely at home. Their warmth and hospitality went above and beyond what we ever expected. Each morning started with a delicious, homemade breakfast that was both comforting and full of love—such a thoughtful and generous touch. One of the highlights of our stay was getting to feed the chickens—Vicki &Mark invited us to help, and it was such a sweet, grounding experience. You can truly feel the care they put into every part of the home and land. And we absolutely fell in love with their gentle, friendly dog—he greeted us each day with a wagging tail and the kindest eyes. He made our stay even more special. This was more than just a place to sleep—it was a place to slow down, connect, and feel at peace. We left feeling refreshed, grateful, and already dreaming about coming back. Thank you, Vicki & Mark for sharing your home and heart with us!

We had a lovely weekend stay at Peter’s haven just on the harbour front. He was very clear with his instructions regarding how to find his place, how to check in and local restaurant recommendations for us to have a look at before we arrived late on the Friday evening. He was very attentive throughout our stay and put together a very tasty buffet breakfast on both of the mornings. We would definitely come back if we didn’t have to emigrate!

The log cabin home is so cozy and inviting! We came during the fall, and Rick had so many suggestions for great hiking locations. The cabin is lovely, with a wood fire burning and a delicious breakfasts waiting for you in the morning!

We can’t say enough about our time in Tobermory and our stay at the Hikers Haven. It truly felt like home and the host went above and beyond to make sure we had a memorable trip. Her place is beautiful, the breakfasts were unreal and when she says she is pet friendly, she isn’t kidding! Charles, our little Jack Russell, was treated like a king! Highly recommend this place and will definitely be back!

It was such a perfect experience! Gail is super nice and the room is super clean! 10/10 Definitely worth checking out!
