Great spot for our basecamp exploring Pingvellir and fishing the area lakes. Enjoyed the hot tub after long days out exploring. Saw the northern lights. Cozy cabin. Very comfortable bed. Private location despite being close to the circle road.

I’m so grateful that I booked this apartment. Maria was outstanding, very attentive, responded always quickly and she even bake us a delish dessert. Cabin is exactly as described. Bed is good, space is beautiful and I was able to see the auroras from the cabin. Cabin is near the restaurant area of the city and lots of the amazing waterfalls that Iceland has to offer. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Thanks for everything!

We loved staying here - such a gorgeous location and very welcoming and homey cottage. My kids loved the toys! Our hosts were very friendly and communicative, I really appreciate their responsiveness. We would love to come back!

Such a peaceful, sweet and beautiful cottage! Great location! Comfortable beds, nice kitchen, great set up for resting and being together. Host was so great! She had great suggestions on what to do in the area and also for our next stop on our trip! We hope to be back ♥️

We’ve just finished a two night stay here and it’s just beautiful. Our flight landed early and we were able to check in a little earlier which was very helpful. The place is so lovely and quiet and the instructions to get there were spot on. We were able to drive to all of the local sights and it was lovely to come back to a lovely warm and cosy cabin. I would definitely recommend staying here!

Highly recommend this place. You can take a rest after long trip or escape from the city in peace and quiet place! There is everything what you need to spend the best time. The owners are amazing people friendly, nice, and they take good care of this house. This makes this place so unique. We gonna back there again for sure :)

One of the best Airbnb’s we’ve ever stayed at. Andrés was so kind and accommodating and had great recommendations, the cottage was charming with incredible views and in a great location. Everything was so clean and well organized, will absolutely be recommending this place to anyone we know traveling to Iceland! One of my favorite stays ever. We hope to return again and again!

Great place. Fanrastic hot tub close to spectacular nature:)

Though both Google & Apple Maps tried to get us to enter the neighborhood the wrong way (Pay attention--there are two entrances, & you want the one with the blue sign a bit to the west.), everything was great once we got that sorted. The space is small but perfect for two people, and the location is amazing and quiet, yet close to nearby villages and places like Gullfoss and Geysir. At the cabin, the only real sounds are of nature--from the birds to the nearby waterfalls--and the hot tub and deck were lovely. Note that there is only a small fridge, with no freezer, and there is no oven, simply an air fryer and outdoor grill. Grocery shop accordingly, as we did. I definitely recommend hiking back to the falls behind the cabin, as well as heading down the road a bit to see Bruarfoss. The blue water of both is absolutely beautiful! Finally, Hjörtur was responsive to questions before and during our trip, and it was a great visit. I would stay here again for sure.

The cottage is decorated like in a fairy tale, very nicely decorated and super cozy. You can tell that Agnes takes care of the house with love. Everything is super clean and food as well as skin care are provided. You can really treat yourself at Agnes'. The cottage is located on a hill near Geysir and Gullfoss - a great location for a vacation in Iceland. The disadvantage is the great distance to the nearest supermarket. But Agnes is very precautionary: The fridge was already filled when we arrived and none of us had to starve. The kitchen was also fully equipped with spices, oil, food in stock and kitchen appliances. Communication with Agnes was great too. She always responded quickly and helped us quickly when we had problems.

We absolutely loved our time at Lydur and Elva's place! It was clean, cozy, charming and filled with everything we needed. It was fantastic to be able to come back to a hot tub and warm, welcoming home every day. Lydur and Elva were kind and flexible when meeting us early in the morning after our early arrival--we were so grateful for that and for being able to stay at their wonderful place!

Sígrun’s place was exactly what we were looking for! We had the best welcome ever being greeted by the northern lights. The house is well equipped with everything you need. From kitchen appliances to toiletries. And the hot tub outside, is an excellent place to relax. Location is perfect. Very nice and quiet and also close to all the main attractions of the golden circle. Our farewell was also memorable with northern lights dancing for us! Some places we’d like to recommend: Sky Lagoon, Thingvellir National park (20 min drive from the house, bring good shoes, can be very slippery). Tryggvaskali restaurant, Messinn restaurant, Silfra restaurant. And of course all the other attractions around the golden circle. Thank you, Sigrún, hope to be back soon!

We loved our stay! The cabin is a perfect spot for a few days in the golden circle. Hot tub was a great addition. Frederikke is extremely kind, helpful and responsive to any questions.

We LOVED staying here! We booked 6 nights and it was a wonderful place to settle in and enjoy the sites on the Golden Circle. Katrín was wonderful, responding to most messages within a few minutes. She gave us great tips for restaurants and other things to do. Our favorite aspect of the house was it's bright and open living area with plentiful windows to enjoy the view. The kitchen was really well stocked. there were plenty of linens and towels. The Internet worked great. The living room and dining room lighting at night were a little dim compared to what we are used to, but this did make it easier for us to keep an eye out for northern lights. We had the privilege of seeing them for 3 of the 6 nights! There was no washer and dryer (clearly stated in the description), but the heated drying rack in the bathroom was really useful. The hot tub was wonderful. If you come in winter, you really do want 4WD. The roads leading up to the house were snow covered and slippery. Highly recommend!

Great little cabin! Super comfortable and cosy. Xavier was super helpful and answered questions quickly. Definitely a bit challenging to find the first time but easy after if you mark the entrance road on your phone. Be aware it’s geothermal heated so the water has that sulfur-y smell but not overwhelmingly so. Overall we absolutely loved our stay!

Luke’s cottage was an ethereal dream. A tranquil cabin along the Golden Circle, with all the amenities you need to be self sufficient. The cabin itself was very clean, and we were so lucky to see the most phenomenal northern lights 4 days in a row, followed by a nacreous cloud all at the cabin. It really was like living in a dream. Luke himself was very responsive to my endless questions. We cannot wait to return thank you for such a memorable stay.

What a special spot! Gísli was a responsive host and the accommodation was simple but perfectly situated to take in the beautiful surroundings. It was comfortable and complete with everything we needed.

We loved Rebecca’s place - really warm and welcoming as soon as you step inside and the views are amazing. It was snowing when we arrived and it snowed heavily overnight, so we were glad of our wee 4x4 with its snow tyres, when we eventually ventured out for food and provisions. The road to the cottage is very challenging in the snow and ice. The cottage itself is well equipped and very comfortable - we both slept really well. All in all, we highly recommend Rebecca’s place - we spent a lot more time there than we do in most airbnbs due to the weather - it’s a lovely place to relax.

we loved the place, great location for trips, quiet place in the middle of nature.. to some not quite positive comments - in the description of the accommodation is written that it is a retro cottage. We did not miss anything in the amenities, when we arrived there was a house with the heating on, we still put a few logs in the stove and it was not a mistake.
