Staying at Philippe’s place in Eisenschmitt felt like stepping into a Jane Austen novel—absolutely magical. The house is half of a beautifully preserved old building, with Philippe living in the other half. Every detail was chosen with care: a charming mix of antiques and modern touches, fresh flowers, and even a bottle of champagne to welcome us. Philippe was a wonderful host—present when needed, but always respectful of our privacy. The house sits next to a babbling creek, and it’s incredibly peaceful. We had access to half the yard, which our dog absolutely loved. Philippe is very dog-friendly—our dog had a big, comfy bed, a welcome treat, and plenty of space to run. We also really enjoyed the valley the village is set in—quiet and picturesque, with a beautiful hiking path leading to an old abbey and a lovely little bakery. It's also just a short drive to the Manderscheid castle or the nearby volcanic lakes (the Maare). A truly special place to relax and recharge.

It is the best place to escape the pressures of life. A very quiet place and the host is a more than wonderful person and very helpful. I don't think there is a more beautiful place in all Germany

We had very nice days in the MoselHoch. The views and the accommodation were a dream. Very good starting point for hiking. We would come back.

In addition, the internet is not suitable for working (up to 8 Mbit and fault sensitive). Plug out and back to help temporarily, but it remains unstable. It is also in the description, but please note: the trains pass about 10 meters away from the bedroom. Good earplugs are recommended if you want to leave the window open. With closed windows you hear little, but in hot weather, ventilation is of course nice.

The listing's location is incredible. It is located on the top of a hill, in a very quiet street surrounded by fields and forests. In the garden you can relax completely and enjoy in the hammock or under the umbrella. It is a 10-minute drive to the center of Trier, so it is a good base to discover the region. The accommodation was also very clean and well equipped. Hildegard is very helpful and gave us instructions well in advance how to drive to the accommodation by car. Upon arrival, we immediately felt at home due to her warm welcome and kindness. This was our first trip with our 6-month-old son and immediately a very nice experience!

It was a great vacation. I booked the place on very short notice (1 day before check-in). Communication with David was great and there were no problems. The house is beautifully restored. You immediately feel comfortable and have a great view from the balcony.

The house is very spacious, with a beautiful and well-kept yard that offers plenty of privacy and is perfect for relaxing outdoors. There were also great activities set up for kids, which made the stay even more enjoyable for our family. The interior was clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything we needed. The host was incredibly helpful and provided us with clear and practical instructions for the stay – things like waste disposal and how to use the heating, which made everything easy and stress-free. We’d happily come back again!

I was allowed to spend three nights at Marion's. From arrival to departure, Marion was a great host. She gave me great tips and was always approachable. I slept very well and everything was as described. Furnished with a lot of love for detail, very clean and the garden was a dream. I will be happy to come back. Mijne and Berti were super hospitable and immediately upon arrival we already got a whole explanation about everything to do in the area and which walks we definitely should not miss. In addition, we could use the loungers & table in the one corner of the (super large) garden that is specially designated for guests. Very tasty after a walk. The apartment was also fine and clean. Plus point for the shutters. Nice when sleeping.

Delightful relaxing a mid-week on the Moselle. Everything is within walking distance and even can be reached by car if needed. The bed was surprisingly good and the hot tub was fantastic. In the morning breakfast on the balcony in the sun and in the afternoon some wines in the village. A winery on every corner. However, it is closed from Monday to Wednesday, so please be aware of that. And just keep in mind that you have to go up 3 stairs with all your stuff!

Great apartment with all possible amenities. Really liked the sauna in the bathroom as well as the beautiful view from the balcony. Also there are great hiking trails nearby

We had a great stay at Anne&Sam‘s place. Wonderful hikes, great food in local restaurants in the surrounding areas. All in all a fantastic place for a trip if you enjoy hiking and spending time in the nature. Thanks a lot!

Our family of four, with two young girls, had an absolutely incredible stay at Jürgen's farm! From the moment we arrived, we felt right at home. The girls completely fell in love with the family farm – it was such a unique and memorable experience for them. The Airbnb itself was really comfortable and truly had everything we could possibly want or need. The surrounding area is breathtakingly beautiful, and we quickly realized that four days just weren't enough to explore it all. We're already dreaming of our next visit!
