We booked this property for 2 nights to do the Mount Kosciuszko hike, and it was absolutely perfect! The place was clean, cozy, and had everything we needed after a long day of walking (and pretending we were fit). The location was great for easy access to the trails. The host was super responsive and helpful throughout our stay, which made everything even better. We had an amazing time and would definitely come back — highly recommend for anyone planning a trip to the mountains!

What a wonderful time we had at Lesa & Jaime’s place ! We made a family trip to celebrate my son’s 2nd birthday in front of Lake Jindabyne and we couldn’t have asked for a better place than Lesa & Jaime’s ! Right next to the lake and located in a quiet neighbourhood with beautiful & pristine surroundings. The place was immaculate with more than enough amenities for my family of 4 adults & 1 kid. Very neat & tidy home. The fireplace was absolutely stunning - one of the best takeaways for me from this trip. We also got to play fetch with Lesa’s dog when we went to the lake to celebrate my son’s birthday. My parents (who are visiting me from overseas) also enjoyed their stay to the fullest. Overall, an excellent & memorable stay. Highly recommended !

We had a fantastic experience staying at Vicki and Peter’s place.The apartment was spotless, beautifully decorated, and exactly as described in the listing and all the amenities were thoughtfully provided—from fresh towels and toiletries to a well-stocked kitchen. Vicki and Peter were incredibly welcoming, responsive, and made sure everything was perfect throughout our stay. The location was ideal—quiet, safe, and close to everything we needed. I would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing, comfortable and peaceful stay!

The location was convenient and quite, perfect for what we needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommend to others.

Peter and Vicki were wonderful hosts; excellent communication, great instructions, and wonderful suggestions. This place can easily sleep 9, so for 4 adults, the 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms gave us heaps of room. We cooked up big meals in the kitchen, which was really easy to navigate and had everything we needed. The main shops are a 3min drive, and about a 15 min walk. The property is on a hill, so anticipate that if that's a problem. Thanks Peter and Vicki!

Great spot to stay with four young children. The views were fantastic, and it was great being able to walk into town with the kids for a much needed coffee. Really easy to find, and the check-in and check-out process was a breeze. Only thing to note, is that as of May 2025 there are extensive building works happening next door. It was quiet over the weekend, but from 7am Monday morning the building noises started up.

We had an amazing weekend in Kalkite. The chalet offered great views of Lake Jindabyne. The cows, wombats and roos in the meadow made the view even better. It’s an easy to find place and you don’t need a 4x4 to reach the chalet, a small city car will do just fine. Gordon was extremely friendly and made us feel at home right away. The chalet offered all the amenities you need and more. The indoor and outdoor fireplace were our favorite features. Would highly recommended this place to everyone looking to stay in the Mount Kosciuszko area.
