I stayed with my wife and 2 children both aged 3 and 1. I was worried about the heat and how my family would cope but I can honestly say the place had air con and the back up IPS was a life saver with the temperamental electricity in sylhet. The place had 3 bedrooms which was very spacious and the apartment itself was big, airy and mainly clean. The place is updated with all the essential needs a family would need and if there were any problems the host would quickly respond to any problems or issues and ensure it was fixed straight away or attended too. Another positive about the place was the level of security we felt with cctv fitted and the double locked gates ensuring we all felt safe. Overall my stay there was perfect for my family and my children were able to play on their tablets/iPads with the Wi-Fi and it didn’t every buffer. The only negative I would have is not the apartment itself but where it is located as the roads have been damaged due to the recent floods so a a journey with the local Tom Tom/CnG feels like a very bumpy ride. I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to the host for its excellent communication and always making sure we had everything we need and if I need to stay in an apartment again in sylhet I would choose the same place again.

Great place to stay. Much much better than a hotel.

This spacious home was ours for a month. The rooms were nice. This is the first and second floor of four, so it is not as hot as the top floor would be. If you are from Bangladesh, or have traveled extensively in Bangladesh, I give this place a thumbs up. It is all you would expect. If not, read: The electricity comes and goes in Sylhet. This home has a genius back up battery system for lights and fans. Some positives include filtered water (though my wife was scared of it and drank purchased water at 20 liters for $0.60 from the store nearest this road on the main drag.) The bedding included sheets and some towel, but not towels for every room. The place was quite dusty, but otherwise clean. The furniture was tastefully chosen. (The small sitting room had a mildew smell, but the rest of the home had no smell.). The owner is in the UK, so the home is serviced by his nephew M, a good young man. M helped us several times, meeting us, giving us keys, sending workmen to fix things.
