Vacation rentals with a kayak in Bay Islands Department

We had a wonderful time at Turtle Casa, it was exactly what we were looking for, not separate hotel rooms but an environment where we could be with family and enjoy some private time as well. Our whole family really enjoyed the stay. The house really is beautiful. Very happy with the amazing hospitality provided by Marnie and her crew. Will definitely pass down the information to family and friends.

This beautiful house was just the escape we needed - private, quiet, great neighbors, and a never ending supply of things to do! We had issues with hot water and the vehicle, but Vanessa was extremely responsive and was able to get both issues resolved. We truly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend Vanessa!

The Living Waters home is incredible. Walk in the front door and the ocean is right in front of you. Daysi met us at the airport, directed us to Eldon's so we could stock up (get everything you think you'll need, we didn't find other stores on the island with similar selections and its 1 hour from the house). We had Dulce, helped by her daughter, cook a number of meals for us. They were a delight and food was great. If you don't have a car you can get to a few places. Go to Cliffsides for dinner. Camp Bay Lodge is a few places down, everything we ate there was very good. Still I'd recommend getting a car so you can explore the entire island, for activities and local restaurants. A lot of people love the east end of the island because it's remote, but do prepare for some very rough dirt roads. Going even 5 miles on the east end of the island might take 30+ minutes. Everyone uses "whatapp" to communicate, so get it before you go. We loved Roatan, super friendly people.

Luke's place was amazing in every way! It was in a great location steps from the beach, beautiful, spacious, comfortable and clean with a friendly security guard on duty nearby round the clock. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen well stocked with anything you might need to cook. Plenty of fresh bottled water was provided at all times. Many restaurants all within walking distance up and down the beach. Water taxis were available to go to West end or elsewhere. Tons to do like swim, snorkel off the beach, and shop for souvenirs, etc., all just a short walk from the house. Luke was friendly, helpful, informative and responsive to any need and always nearby and available. I would definitely stay at his place again in a heartbeat!

Overall stay was great! Amazing deck, stellar view (especially sunset) & good location- not touristy but not isolated. Good communication from prop. mgnt. Beach is too shallow to swim from shore -bring water shoes to walk to deeper water. It's a local neighborhood so can occasionally be lots of dogs barking (2 hours 1 night-earplugs would have been nice). For hot water in shower, turn handle clockwise. After 3-5 minutes of running hot, it will turn very very cold for just a bit, then gets hot again. 2 great bars/restaurants and a dive shop within easy walking. Electric costs: We were there 7 nights. Used AC in 1 bedroom 4 nights all night long, plus 2nd bedroom for a few hours on 2 nights. Our total electric bill was $32. Electric goes out often (lanterns are in house), but also means there is no water. Keep the water cooler bottle filled to use for backup. Had a local cell phone for us to use, plus sunscreen, bug spray, lots of spices. Books, games & local info there too.

Few pluses I did not realize. Free breakfast and free transportation to and from the airport. The people and place was great. Full use of the beach including kayaks and paddle boards. Staff were helpful and friendly. Great place to stay.

The home is even more stunning in person than in the photos. The master bedroom is spacious and gorgeous, and the kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need. The downstairs bedrooms are a bit darker, but our kids didn’t mind at all—they absolutely loved their space. One of the highlights of our trip was being able to snorkel right off the front of the house, which was an amazing experience. We also booked a snorkeling trip with Joe, who picked us up right from the house by boat and took us to swim with nurse sharks—an unforgettable adventure! The road leading to the house is unpaved, but we had no trouble getting there in a small SUV—just take it slow. The airport is about 30 minutes away, and Eldon’s grocery store is a convenient 15-minute drive. Dave, the property manager, was always nearby and super helpful whenever we needed anything.

A wonderful setting for a memorable vacation, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Caribbean! A great spot to be as active or as relaxed as you like. Trish is a wonderful host and is very accommodating along with her amazing crew.

Our stay at Casa Caribe was great! The view is absolutely breathtaking. 180°+ view of the ocean. It is truly indescribable. the grounds are beautifully done and well-tended with tons of tropical plants and flowers. It was super easy to kayak out to the mangroves and to the reef for snorkeling which was a wonderful experience! The hospitality is top notch too. Chris was super communicative and gave wonderful suggestions for places to visit. He even made reservations for us to make it easier. Banuel is the caretaker and he is so wonderful. He is there for absolutely anything you need at all and he is truly happy to serve guests. He also has great knowledge of the island and tells great stories! They truly take all the stress out of the vacation by having everything you could want or need. And they are willing to get for you anything they may not have. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. It was beautiful, restful, relaxing, and fun! If you are going to Roatan, this is the place to stay!

Perfect location for an out of the busyness of life retreat. Excellent access to our favorite dive shop at Marble Hill. Truly gracious, helpful, and caring hosts. And Daisy is an awesome dog! Will be happy to return, but will get a 4x4 to be ready for rain and muddy roads. Hosts provided both car and boat rides to take care of of our needs.

Lara’s Dream is right on the water of course and plenty of snorkeling if you’re up for a bit of walking through some shallows. There are dive boats at the reef a few hundred yards away every day. The house is simple and comfortable with basic kitchen items and appliances. The bedroom has AC which is very nice @ night. We spent most of the daylight hours on the balcony overlooking the sea. Lenora is the house manager, she is a gem! Picked us up at the airport and dropped us off at the airport for a modest fee. Both Lenora and Laraine were super communicative at all times. Laraine provided a lot of really helpful information as well. We did scuba diving roommate, it some really nice restaurants, nearby, and walking distance . I’m also a bird watcher and hired a local bird guide to show me around the island and he showed me some incredible birds that I never would’ve found on my own . We had a really nice time and will likely come back someday I recommend Laura’s dream.

We really enjoyed our stay here and cant wait to come back. The setting is quiet, peaceful and truly a paradise. It is more beautiful than pictures can capture. Sarita and Kelly were available to help whenever we needed and checked in daily. We loved everything about it and felt we got a taste of the island we havent experienced anywhere else.

Turtle Beach was exactly what I was looking for. All the rooms are so unique and each one with its own outdoor space, or screened in porch! We ended up in the Seahorse unit which was perfect for 2 people. Large screened porch w a hammock, table and chairs and a small lounging couch w glimpses of the ocean! Full kitchen and a comfortable King bed! Cannot say enough about how beautiful the grounds, paths, pools, beach and dock are are! The location is what really makes a difference. You are nestled in between West End and West Bay, so everything is quiet, but for a quick $5 water taxi you can be in the heart of it all in minutes. There are 4 different restaurants you can walk to as well! Nice group of rocks out front to snorkel. This place had it all! We will definitely be returning!!!!! ❤️😎❤️

Everyone (Miriam, Jon and Victor, to name but a few) taking care of the property and guests are polite, caring and simply wonderful. The cabin has everything a couple or single person needs and is absolutely homey and cozy. The location and proximity to the ocean are excellent, watching the dolphins learn there routines in the morning is very pleasant and the location in Sandy Bay is perfect to explore the West End and West Bay areas, the East towards Mud Hole and its a few minutes walking distance from the Blue Bahia with there own wonderful staff and great on location PADI 5 Star dive centre, The Sandy Bay Divers. We had a wonderful time and would definitely book this same location again. If we go with more people, the House on the other lot belongs to Miss Lucile as well and is a wonderful size for two couple and/or kids. Thank you for a wonderful experience in Roatán.

Awesome place

Our stay at casa cowee was absolutely amazing. We loved staying here as opposed to the more crowded west end although we did have a car to easily get around. At first I was worried about AC only in the bedroom but it was actually perfect. We had that room to cool off if needed and the rest of the space is always breezy. The pools were wonderful to have as well. Suzanne is a great host, very communicative and helpful, and having jose on the property made us feel reassured and well taken care of. I would most definitely stay here again.

Turtle Beach is beautiful oasis on a quiet beach between West End and West Bay. There are beautiful details everywhere. Everyone is friendly and helpful. We were supplied local contacts even before we arrived, so everything was seamless. We left refreshed and rejuvenated.

The fact that Moana Divers is associated with this lodging is a stroke of luck. They are one of the very best dive shops I have had opportunity to dive with, and will definitely be back to dive with them, and stay here as well. The cabin was perfect for our family, and the cleaning was top notch every day. Really enjoyed our time in Roatan!

Rosalina and Sonny are amazing hosts! They picked us up from the airport and brought us back after our stay. This is above and beyond what many hosts do. The cabin had a clean and cozy feel. Very clean considering the sand and being right on the water. The kayaks were available to use, no fee. We had a lovely stay in paradise. It’s a beautiful location and private.
