Family-friendly vacation rentals in Avis

It's been a wonderful vacation - the place is perfect for rest, and the photos don't do it justice. The property consists of four houses, one common (with pool, treadmill, etc.) and several lounging areas around the pool, clean and good size, as well as a pond full of fish. In the area there are several villages with supermarkets and good restaurants; Évora is 40 minutes away. It is a perfect place to get to know the Alentejo and spend the day for example in Lisbon or Évora. The owners, Mathieu and Martha, are absolutely lovely, attentive, polite and respectful. They have been attentive to our needs without being invasive. We are sure that we will repeat it, and we highly recommend it to everyone.

I had a great experience in this Airbnb hosting! The house was very spacious and clean, which made my stay very comfortable. In addition, the location was incredible, with a huge public park just steps away. The park had padel courts, a soccer field and plenty of space to walk and play sports. It was great to be able to take advantage of the park facilities during my stay. Another positive point was the proximity of a market with a great variety of options, being just a few meters from the house. This made it very easy to buy groceries and meals during my stay. I strongly recommend this accommodation for those looking for a comfortable, clean place with great leisure options and outdoor activities nearby, as well as easy access to a market. I will certainly be staying here again at the next chance!

I had a great experience staying here. Martha and Mathieu are very friendly and helpful. They do much more to take care of their guests than I would expect from a host. Highly recommend!

We had a fantastic time with Marthe and Mathieu. They are both super friendly and hospitable and want to make their guests feel very comfortable. Always approachable and repeatedly asked us if everything was going well and we were satisfied. For us, the kitchen supplies could be a little more extensive, as we like to cook on vacation.

Everything is very good, the accommodation is as described, very quiet. We had a great time, especially the children since it has good facilities to play as a family.

We spent a week at Peter and Rosemary's lovely BnB and we could have stayed longer! The home itself is beautiful with a fully appointed kitchen, comfortable beds and a cozy atmosphere. We lucked out on warm weather, so we spent most of our time on the porch, with gorgeous views of the surrounding area, and in the pool. What a great way to relax after a day of touring local towns and riding horses through the countryside. We also found the local hiking trail that provided a fun way to see the history and beauty of the countryside. It was walkable to the trail from the BnB. Peter and Rosemary are amazing hosts. They welcomed us so warmly and made us feel at home. We enjoyed their friendship and their hospitality. We would absolutely come back to their place when visiting Portugal again.

We really enjoyed our two night stay at the house in Crato. Our host was very kind, proactive, supportive and helpful. He also spoke excellent English which made things very easy. The house itself is very charming...very old and newly renovated, with all of the facilities that we needed for our short stay. Crato is bigger than we expected and served as a good location to explore the area, including a trip to the lovely town of Portalegre. We recommend this house to others.

This is a real gem. Rural, remote and just what we wanted. The farmhouse was perfect- clean, well equipped and traditional. The pool was lovely and the setting next to shade of the walnut tree was great. We loved the sheep with their bells, the swifts and owls. Close enough to enjoys meals out in Estremoz but secluded enough to leave the world behind. We were well looked after by Maria and her son. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed the stay! A very spacious, quiet, private and perfect place to spend a few days away from the city's confusion. Mr. Bruno made the whole process a lot easier, did everything to make us feel at home and was very flexible with our needs. we'll be back for sure!

We really enjoyed the place where we spent a few days with our dog. Quiet neighborhood, full of flowers, fruit trees, surrounded by vines. Pets around: dogs, cats, ducks, chickens, goats. Beautifully located pool, surrounded by greenery. Well-equipped kitchen, cozy decor. Not far from the small town of Borba, with a local wine and olive oil factory. A well-maintained town with a Portuguese vibe. I would definitely recommend this place .

Miguel and his partner welcomed us very warmly. Their warm and uncomplicated nature leaves nothing to be desired. If you need or want to know something, they are immediately available. The property is designed with a lot of love, they pay attention to the details. For our daughter's birthday, they surprised us with a cake and the children were always allowed to actively participate in feeding the animals. We highly recommend the place. Lovely house in a beautiful location! Perfect for disconnecting and recharging!.. Close to a beautiful town. Make sure your vehicle is high enough of the ground since the roads on the approach are Rough. But it’s all part of the charm! Would stay again and would recommend!!

Beautiful location, of immense peace. I've never seen such a stunning sky. The house is very beautiful and cozy, it has everything you need. The pool is even better than in the photos! Miguel was very kind and was always available for any questions. They even left us a basket with breakfast food!

Excellent location, great pool, very nice space. Three very spacious houses (those with more than three children have to share between the houses) with all the necessary amenities for a two-week vacation! Between barbecues, sun loungers and a hammock, tranquility is what reigns!

Herdade da Maxuqueira is a spectacular place that I hope to be able to return. The interior and exterior areas are very well cared for, equipped and comfortable for the number of people who stay overnight. In addition, Sofia was a great guest always available for any questions that arose. I highly recommend it.

We had a fantastic stay at this accommodation. The location was perfect, with easy access to all the main attractions. The atmosphere is incredible, surrounded by nature and with tranquility that makes us feel completely relaxed. The swimming pool was perfect for the hot days, and I loved being able to be close to the animals, which gave a special touch to the experience. The hospitality was exceptional, the Elsa always available to help and make sure everything was perfect. Definitely an experience I recommend and would love to repeat in the future.
