Apartment vacation rentals in Athens

It’s the third year running (and 4th time) that we’ve stayed at Spiros’s place and it was a wonderful start to our Greek holiday. We really enjoyed the stunning view of the Acropolis from the beautiful terrace, visited the contemporary art museum, the theatre of Dionysus and had tapas and wine at the nearby Drunky Goat. Spiros was great at communicating and check in / out was very easy. The apartment is a wonderful, comfortable space in the heart of Plaka - with the best view in Athens. We are looking forward to coming back on 1st June at the end of our holiday. Thank you Spiros!

Amazing stay - area was beautiful, accommodation exactly as described and Charis gave clear directions and instructions of everything - Nico welcomed us and took the time to explain everything to us which was lovely too! The apartment is well situated in Athina within walking distance to lots of shopping and restaurants. Neighborhood is safe and quiet and place is charming. The view of the Acropolis from the upstairs patio is so good, it almost looks fake. Diana is a wonderful host - place is well equipped with everything you need…she’s truly thought of everything. There’s even a kitchenette on the upstairs patio that comes in handy for your morning coffee and any dinners/drinks/desserts you enjoy while getting hypnotized by the view. She’s also proactive in her communication. There was an unexpected 48 hour cab strike that impacted Ubers on our arrival day that we had no idea about and she reached out to us offering to help with an airport transfer. She’s a gem and goes the extra mile for her guests. And she left us treats in the fridge, inclusive of a fruit platter fit for a Greek God. Love this place - if it’s convenient location wise for your Athens trip, don’t miss it! All hail Diana!

The most perfect Airbnb! Location is in the best area steps away from great shopping and restaurants, such a stunning view from the patio and very accommodating and helpful with check-in. Highly recommend!

Great place to stay in Greece.Loved the ease of getting in to Athen’s but also enjoyed being able to relax at end of the day looking out to sea on the verandah.Great location😍

We stayed here for 12 days and it was great! Easy to walk to all of Athens attractions and in a nice quiet neighborhood. The apt worked perfect for two people to work remote too. Everything about it is great! We would stay here again.

Vassilios was such a great host - so genuine, kind, & gave great recommendations. He made us feel so welcome in Athens. He was easy to contact and communication was prompt & friendly. We were able to drop our luggage off before check in, which was very helpful. Great location & amazing view of the Acropolis from the terrace. Would definitely recommend!

Diana’s place is outstanding. Probably the best Airbnb we have stayed in. The location is unbeatable, the building and apartment itself beautiful and we felt really lucky to stay there. It is even better than the photos, very comfortable, and so peaceful - which I did not expect considering it was so close to everything. Diana was great at communicating and very flexible with our check in/check out times which we really appreciated. The welcome basket/food was very generous and delicious. Cannot recommend enough!

Incredible place to stay! The home has so much space and is filled with luxury items and accents to utilize and enjoy during your stay. But the real show stopper is the view from the balcony — a clear view of the acropolis! Me and my family stayed here for one night before we flew out early and are sad we didn’t know about it when we stayed for a week last week. It’s so walkable, so spacious, and has all the amenities you could ever want and need. the only two things that kept my review from being all 5s is that the lock boxes to get the keys were challenging to open (minor but still an inconvenience) and the couch had quite a few stains on them so we laid towels down (easy to fix). would highly recommend staying here and next time i’m in athens, ill definitely be here again!

We had a great experience at Maria’s place. She went above and beyond to make sure our stay was AMAZING. Great communication on the front end and extremely accommodating on the back end including us to check out a little later than the normal check out time. This was greatly appreciated! We were welcomed with a friendly smile and offer to help us with our luggage. The description was accurate regarding the stairs. There are many many stairs and if it was kind of Maria to offer to take our bags up. The home was so beautiful with a spectacular view. We appreciated the welcome basket of goodies. I recommend to definitely get a car. There’s an affordable place very close by. There are only two restaurants near by and you have to walk a mile up and down steep hills to get there. The car makes it easier and you can drive to Porto Rafti. Second, get a translator app for your phone-instructions for appliances are in Greek (washer and dryer). Lastly, the ac in the room worked great.

Excellent séjour dans ce très bel appartement. Nous avons apprécié la qualité (et la propreté !) des lieux et la vue magnifique sur le Parthénon. La communication avec Maria était très fluide et claire. Bref, on recommande chaudement ce lieu pour visiter Athènes !

Central location, close to restaurants and public transport, in a lively neighborhood but still very quiet apartment. Great communication with the host.

Location, location, location. 1/2 block from the main square. It’s very busy but you can walk to everything. View from balcony of the Acropolis is from the side but it’s still great. We walked in different directions every day. Many, many restaurants, taverns everywhere. Check out the rooftop restaurant right on the corner. You enter the elevators right near the subway. Worth the stop. If you’re up to it, walk a number of blocks away from the main tourist areas or grab the subway (right next door)to find restaurants with better bang for the buck. We took the subway out when we left, super easy to do even with luggage and straight to the airport. The host was very helpful and very responsive.

Great central location. Despite the activity outside the room was quiet and the bed comfortable.

We had an amazing time at this air bnb! The views from the terrace are unmatched and our host Victor was extremely accommodating for us. Our flight landed so early and we had nowhere to place our bags so he let us drop them off and hang out on the terrace while they prepped our suite. It’s walkable to everything in the city and close to the metro so it’s easy to get to and from the airport. We loved it here and would definitely stay again!

Alexandros was always very responsive and positive in his communications. He even contacted us when he learned about a taxi strike that would have affected our departure and he found us another ride to the airport. I highly recommend his spot in Plaka, which is on a quiet side street and walkable to everything we wanted to see/do.

All the modern amenities, a fantastic view, and easily walkable to tons of restaurants and shops in the area. The place was super clean and well maintained. Very quiet as well despite being so close to Monastaraki square. I would easily stay here again. Ioannis was very responsive to all questions and very helpful.

Cute flat in one of the best locations in Athens! Close to many restaurants and grocery stores. A lot of reviews mention the noise, which yes there is noise, but this is one of the busiest areas in Athens, so I was expecting that and was fine with it. Super easy check-in. Would gladly stay here again!

My wife and I celebrated our overlapping honeymoon, anniversary, and birthday with a trip to Greece that ended with a few nights at this location, which did not disappoint! This rental is in the heart of Athens. Outside of the direct view of the Acropolis from almost every vantage point in the unit, you would never know just how centrally located it is within the city because the unit is so tastefully designed (beautiful and private) and felt very well-constructed (soundproofed and quality of materials). The unit was exceptionally clean and organized; minimalistic with all necessities provided; and, not to be overlooked, particularly romantic in its design and layout. The hosts made the overall process of checking in and out very simple and offered many great recommendations for adventures within the area, and we are truly grateful to them for the very pleasant stay.

This place looked exactly like the pictures and is relatively well maintained. Within 15 minutes of the acropolis, it’s in very close proximity to a lively area of the city. During our stay the cleanliness was not super high quality; there had been a candy wrapper in the couch and hairs on the bed sheets. Another item to consider when booking this Airbnb is that the area surrounding this apartment is relatively unsafe, especially at night.

We loved this location - it was exactly what we wanted, and perfect for the two of us. Monastiraki is a great location - a base for exploring the history of Athens, the busy flea market, plenty of restaurants. Things to bear in mind: this is on the seventh floor at the top of a building, and the lift goes to the sixth floor, but the view is worth the extra stairs; it’s a busy neighbourhood, with lots of night life, so expect to hear some music from the adjacent attic bar, although this really didn’t bother us (shut the windows!). The host was very responsive and exceptionally helpful - we appreciated the guides to neighbourhoods, eating places, etc. All in all we loved the location, the lay-out of the premises, the character of the apartment. We would definitely try to stay here again if available.

The description and previous reviews do not exaggerate! We loved so much about this flat: the view, location, communicative host, the view, the size, wonderful hot water in shower, the view, close to many restaurants, and did we mention the view? Seriously, we highly recommend Peter's flat in Athens. Book it as soon as you read this!

I had to spend two nights at Themis place and it was an amazing stay. The location is phenomenal quiet safe and very polite neighbors, the apartment it self was stunning clean with everything you might need, needles to say the patio is in my opinion the best place of the appartment jacuzzi is fantastic to relax and decompress. The host was excellent I had to contact him a couple of times for advice and he was always quick to respond and more than willing to help. All and all this appartment is a must book if you are considering to stay in Athens. Highly recommended.
