Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Ashfield-Colborne-Wawanosh

Merle's place was absolutely pet friendly! we loved the backyard, the patio area was beautiful.. it was indeed a good time, bbq'd and relaxed the whole long weekend! big backyard space for the little ones to play in and for the fur babies (separate areas too) It was clean, everything that we needed (and forgot to bring) we found at her place! I loved that the cleaning stuff were available for the guests to utilize. Vacationing with toddlers can get really messy, that's when proper cleaning supplies come in handy! It was a short walk to Victoria Park (with splash pad), short walk to little downtown (happened that there was a fair on the weekend of our stay! was a bonus). Also, we just walked down the beach, enjoyed the peaceful vibe and some ice cream. Highly recommend Merle's place for those who are looking for a nice, quiet, relaxing and peaceful stay in a small town...

Great host!! Jyoti was always quick to respond and gave us plenty of information to help us find things to do in a small town. The home was beautifully cozy with snow, beautiful view of the lake and a toasty wood burning fireplace. We had a great stay. Thank you Jyoti aka SUPER HOST!!

The A Frame getaway Nordic Spa really delivered. It’s a cozy interior and a beautiful spa oasis outside. Everything was decorated with purpose and the space felt very relaxing. We spent a few hours cycling through hot and cold in the sauna/hottub and cold tub. The only downside to the space is the small semi updated single bathroom. Wasn’t a huge concern for us, but I don’t remember any pictures of it and it’s certainly not the focal point of the space or why you should stay here. Overall, the space provided an amazing opportunity to relax, unwind, and refresh. Thanks for sharing your space with us!

The Austrian Log House is a little slice of heaven. We enjoyed every minute of our stay, and really hope we will get to go back again someday. The location is peaceful and quiet with beautiful views. The log house was very clean, had everything we needed, super comfortable beds. This place is absolutely stunning!! And our host was super friendly, helpful, and made us feel so welcome. It was a truly magical weekend away at the beautiful Austrian Log House.

The property was wonderfully quiet. We spent Saturday quietly and had a nice cheery fire in the fireplace on Saturday night. It was just the right place for us to have a little getaway.

My brother, father and I really enjoyed staying at the loft! Valentine provided us with everything we could have asked for and more. We will definitely be recommending this space to our friends and family :)

Amazing stay, great. Communication from the host overall amazing experience

This was a quiet, private, peaceful, and beautiful location. The house was nice with plenty of room for everyone. Being right on the water was what we wanted. The amenities were exactly what we wanted. The heated floors were awesome. Close to a town but still secluded. One thing to be aware of is having to rent linens at $20 per person which nobody expects to travel on vacation with bedsheets and thought it would be something included for the cost. Also, we were warned about the potholes in the road to the house but they were pretty drastic! All in all, would book again and hosts were very attentive.

Julia’s place was great. We used it as a resting place before and after attending a play at the St. Jacobs Country Playhouse. It was exactly as presented in the photos. Large space, but still comfy. Really enjoyed our stay.

The place was perfect, very quiet neighborhood, the beach is a 10-minute walk away. everything is done according to the well-being of its guests, it lacked nothing, the apartment was very clean and up to date. A big thank you.

The place was just as described. It is a loft above their barn that was super cute and clean. The host was very reliable and responded within minutes every time I had an issue or question. She gave me amazing recommendations for some local places and even for my ride home. Her husband greeted me and was so friendly and enjoyable to speak to. Any question or issue I had was addressed immediately. The animals on the property were fun to see. A very nice and quaint little place to stay and very close to Owen Sound which is what I wanted to explore. Take time to find the waterfalls around town! Thank you for your incredible hospitality!! I truly enjoyed speaking to Don too!

Brigitte and Roger were very friendly and courteous, the place is comfortable to stay in and in a good location to nearby grocery stores and restaurants

My hubby and I wanted to get away for a couple nights because it was our anniversary and this place did not disappoint. It was quiet, clean, close to a couple towns for shopping, close restaurants that were excellent service and delicious food as well as a river that was <5 minute walk that you could watch the sunset at. We would definitely go again. Hosts were great and very easy to contact.

The unit was as described and more. extremely clean and very comfortable for our weekend visit. You can't beat the location right in the downtown and if you like to walk, it's very close to everything you want to do in Stratford. We will be recommending this unit to our friends and family. We will also be staying there again.

This has been our second visit at Barb’s. It’s easy to find and a five minute drive to the Farmer’s Market from her home. Barb has everything you need while staying at her place. The kitchen is fully equipped and Barb also thinks of the little things you might have forgot to bring. The atmosphere is very cozy and we will definitely stay at her place again. Thanks for the little treats Barb. You truly do go above and beyond to make sure your guests feel right at home ❤️
