The best House I’ve ever stayed at

A very quiet, rustic and rural setting. Sooooooo peaceful. Fantastic place to escape the city, get some rest and reconnect with nature. The outdoor, wood-heated bath was great, although it did seem a little decadent for just one person. Ideal for a couple. There is a river and Diogo (who is very friendly and very helpful) said he has a canoe. Although it was still quite cool in the mornings (early April), there is a wood-burner and an AC unit that also heats. The driveway is do-able but more for adventurous drivers. The village (Macieira da Maia) is very authentic and it is only about 10-15 min to the beach. Vila do Conde has a beautiful old-town. Many great beaches along the coast. Braga is only about 40 min, Oporto, about 20-30 min by car.

A gem of a place to stay! Bárbara was an amazing host. The fresh bread each morning was a yummy bonus!

Ema is a very nice host and very respectful of the well-being of her guests. When we arrived there was a person who spoke French, the house is beautiful, faithful to what you see on the listing, in a very quiet neighborhood. I highly recommend it and will happily go back.

We spent a lovely week in Dino and Ines's house. They were wonderful hosts - very kind and attentive - and gave us great advice on what to do - even down to where to park for free! The house is lovely - really spacious and comfortable - and it was fantastic to have a pool to relax in. The house is a great base for exploring the area - our favourites were the beach at Vila Cha, the market at Barcelos (we used the shuttle bus in and out), a day trip to Pena Adventure Park and also Viana do Castelo. Porto is also really easy to get to. Overall a wonderful stay. Thank you!

We had a really great stay! Hernani and his mother were very helpful and even provided us with delicious breakfast. The place is very nice, bright and also really cozy thanks to the fireplace. Due to the season, we did not use the pool, but it is also in top condition. Absolute recommendation

It was such a pleasure to stay at Vitors place. The view is stunning and Vitor himself was so helpful and kind with great local recommendations. The place is bright and roomy with 2 big bedrooms full of tons of closet space and two ensuite bathrooms, as well as a large kitchen equipped with tons of pots, pans and glassware. The fridge was even stocked with fresh lettuce and a fresh bottle of wine from the vineyard on the property. The pool was perfect - clear and warm. Would love to visit again sometime!

We had a great time, the accommodation offered was totally in line with what we had seen in the photos, very clean with good quality furniture, very quiet. The house is beautiful, very well maintained and the garden superb (congratulations to the owners for the maintenance!). André and his wife are very nice and full of attention (for example we received mint and lemons from their garden). Although the house is inhabited by the owners, the private garden of the accommodation and its separate entrance give a real sense of privacy. Access to the pool is very nice when it's hot. Although the accommodation is a little far from the shops (only a bakery and pharmacy nearby), this is largely offset by a very quiet and relaxing environment for a vacation! We'll definitely be back on an upcoming trip to the area. Thank you André for hosting us and see you soon!

The accommodation was very spacious and there was ample space to unfold. The ambience is rather functional and not particularly homely but we lacked nothing. You are privately accommodated there, but also anonymous. You won't be making contacts there. The kitchen is well equipped and the washing machine washes well. The wifi router is located in the property and the internet is fast. I particularly liked the large sliding wall with which you can protect the living area from the sun. The proximity to the beach is unbeatable, with the gastronomy in the area offering little change. Shopping facilities are a 15-20 min walk. After all, you have a vacation and plenty of time. We felt comfortable and the place was absolutely worth its money. Thank you

The apartment is very beautiful and in a great central area. We went everywhere by foot. The communication with Daniel was perfect, he is very nice and responded quickly. We really enjoyed our stay there.

All I can say is wow! We spent 11 days staying at Adriano’s apartment and it felt like home! I don’t think I’ve ever stayed in such a well equipped Air BnB. If you could think of it, Adriano had it. In the bathroom there was shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, hair dryer and hair straighteners. In the kitchen there was every utensil you could think of and more, I think you could cook a full Sunday roast dinner and have every pan and dish required! We are a family of four, with children aged 5 and 7. They made the most of the swimming pool during our stay and the beach. The pool is cool but refreshing. The sea was like ice but we made good games of jumping the waves and splashing one another. The beach is less than a five minute walk from the apartment and is a must during your stay, even if it’s just to watch the surfers fight the waves. It’s a very peaceful beach! Adriano is a great host and very helpful. We will be looking to stay again if we come back to the area!

Great hosts and great apartment. Wonderful complex, guarded, overlooking the river. We had a car with us which was parked in the underground garage and we switched to the two bicycles that were available to get into the city (20 min along the river). We would rent the accommodation in Porto again anytime.

Clean accommodation. Well-equipped in everything including toilet paper, coffee pods, garbage bag, etc. Everything to start the week. Our stay was excellent! Elsa was over the top in every way! We had a gift of wine and custard tarts when we got there, Elsa arranged a reservation at an amazing restaurant and she responded quickly to any inquiry. Would definitely come back to this beautiful sanctuary.
