Casa da Encosta is located in the picturesque Aldeia do Penedo, on the hills of Sintra facing the Atlantic. The nearby beaches (Adraga, Praia Grande, Praia das Maçãs and others) are just 5 km away. This two bedroom house (plus a mezzanine) dates from the 1930’s and was passionately renovated in 2023 by Katrin Kaasa and Duarte Amaral Netto, your hosts. The house maintains the spirit of a cabin (low ceiling in the kitchen and some doors) but was carefully designed for comfort and stylish details.

Chalet Marias - Bafureira Studio

Chalet Marias is a brand new traditional portuguese chalet (construction ended on 2023) with a charm studios concept. Located at Parede, a small town at Cascais (one of the best region to live in Portugal) A five minutes walking or cycling from the beach. Train station (Lisbon to Cascais), restaurants, supermarket and bakeries is less 1 minute walking. Beach towels is included and is possible choosing the type of beds (twins or single). Casa do Forno (Oven House) - Quinta Velha

Quinta Velha, meaning “old farm”, lies in a private forest between Sintra’s old town and the historic monuments perched on the mountain top. In 2020 a significant multi-year renovation project was completed, converting the old stables and summer residence into a modern private family home, deeply respecting all existing historic features. A century old chapel with unique panels of traditional hand-painted tiles and fountain add to the beauty of the natural setting.

Sintra Garden

Apartment with private terrace located in the historic center of Sintra. It is tucked away on a quiet street, but a one minute walk to the Sintra National Palace, restaurants and shops. There is free parking about a two minute walk away. The apartment was fully renovated in 2024, has a full kitchen, spacious bathroom and comfortable bed. The terrace has a table and chairs for enjoying coffee in the morning or sharing a bottle of wine in the evening.
