Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Altenau

The house is comfortably furnished, information folder is available! Quiet little town - unfortunately many shops closed! Great was the mountain for tobogganing (Kurhaus)with floodlight!

Great house which feels very authentic. This is what Airbnb is supposed to be! We have been traveling with multiple couples and kids, for which the space worked great since the house is decided in 3 separate apartments that’s are fully equipped. Friendly host with clear communication.

We had relaxing, decelerating days in an idyllic accommodation surrounded by greenery. We felt very comfortable. Thank you :-)

We spent a weekend with 5 (women). We all felt right at home. It was very quiet in March. There was a beautiful hiking route within walking distance. The shopping was also easily accessible on foot. If we go back to the Harz, we will definitely rent the house again.

Nice place and Till was very friendly, helpful, and communicative. Clean and kitchen is stocked with everything 1-2 people need in terms of cookware, cutlery, etc. Would recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful and relaxing location within short driving distance of many good hiking paths in the Harz. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is situated in a quiet, small town, surrounded by many beautiful hiking trails that are easily accessible on foot. The place is great for families. The children's room with 2 beds and an additional mattress and games and painting was immediately accepted by our little ones... The location is also very suitable for excursions to the Harz. They were very nice days!

We were allowed to be a guest at Karolin's, her family's and the alpacas' for the second time and the four of us felt completely comfortable again. The proximity to the alpacas is special. Also with how much love and passion Karolin and her family run the farm. Our eldest liked helping in the barn and with the animals the most. The area also has a lot of excursion opportunities to offer and some are quick and easy to reach. We can recommend a stay without reservation. Thank you for the wonderful time!

The apartment was clean, modernly furnished, bright and cozy. Nothing was missing and we also liked the location. The host Simon was very quickly available by message. We will be happy to come back!

Great apartment, super clean, bed is soooo cozy. Great new bathroom and very nice kitchen equipped with everything. Even a small welcome gift was included and in the bathroom is a basket with utensils if you have forgotten something. Very great. We had a small problem with the TV reception and had let her know on Sunday evening. She responded immediately and came by Monday morning and installed a TV stick for us. Really great hostess😁 We will be happy to come back.

We had 4 wonderful days in Henry's apartment. Henry and his wife were very kind, warm and accommodating landlords. The apartment was very clean and very cozy, the kitchen was very well equipped with everything you need. I would also like to highlight the great and above all quiet location of the apartment. We could see and start many attractions and hiking tours just a short distance from the apartment. We highly recommend the apartment to everyone, and we will be happy to come back again!

We (2 adults and 1 small dog) had a wonderful week in the Harz and were very satisfied with Andrea's apartment. The surroundings are beautiful and quiet, we hiked a lot and were able to relax well in the well-appointed apartment, and in the garden.

Very friendly communication. All important information was communicated in detail and the apartment was also very clean, equipped with everything you might need. Our staff had a lovely stay.

The place was not super modern, but really clean. the large room was great for eating or playing together as a large group. From the house there are a few smaller hiking routes. Everything else is quickly accessible by car. (playgrounds, swimming pool, hiking routes...) All in all, we were very satisfied.

Great location: from the accommodation we could take many different hiking trails - including to the Brocken. The little cottage was super cozy with the wood and the furnishings and we immediately felt comfortable. I'd love to come back :)

We spent a long weekend with 15 adults in Villa Heidi. It was clean, the kitchen super equipped and plenty of room for everyone there. The property is centrally located and has plenty of parking incl. Wallbox. Family Sauerzapf are very pleasant hosts and very easy to reach (Thank you for sending us our forgotten things☺️). Villa Heidi is highly recommended for larger groups, whether with or without children.

We spent an extended weekend in the Harz (Schierke). In fantastic weather, we were able to hike to the Brocken, starting from our accommodation. The resort leaves nothing to be desired and we were able to enjoy a wonderful break. We will be happy to come back!

Beautiful, cozy retreat after strenuous hikes. Particularly beautiful was the lovingly landscaped garden, which is equipped with several places to stay. The house does not leave any wishes open including great views of the valley.

We loved our stay in Torfhaus. The house was well located and in beautiful surroundings. The area was perfect for our walks. The house was exactly as pictured; Cozy, clean, well decorated with great amenities. We had a great time! Only small downside was that the beds were very hard. They were nice, clean, and tidy, but unfortunately we didn't sleep very well because of the hardness. However, we enjoyed our stay and really enjoyed both the house and area.
