Vacation rentals in Alkmaar

Fuimos de vacaciones a Holanda y nos hospedamos en la casa de Judith. Todo el tiempo estuvo muy pendiente de nosotros por si nos faltaba cualquier cosa que necesitáramos, algo de comer o lo que fuera. Nos traía comida en abundancia y ha sido siempre muy amable con nosotros. La casa está genial y estuvimos muy cómodos. Muchas gracias por todo Judith!

We had the most wonderful stay in this charming cabin nestled on the property of a windmill in Alkmaar. From the moment we arrived, our hosts Kelly and Han made us feel completely at home. They went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect—so kind, welcoming, and full of great local tips. The cabin itself is a dream—coziness taken to the next level. Every detail was thoughtfully put together, and it was the perfect place to unwind to relax. Waking up next to a windmill felt like something out of a fairytale. Alkmaar itself is a beautiful village full of history, with adorable shops and restaurants to explore. The charming canals add to the magical atmosphere, and it’s easy to hop on a train to Amsterdam for a day trip. We’re already dreaming of our return and feel so lucky to have made such lovely new friends in Kelly and Han. Highly recommend this magical spot to anyone visiting The Netherlands!

Wij hebben een geweldig weekend gehad op De Woude. Het feit dat het huisje op een eiland ligt, geeft gelijk een bijzonder gevoel als je aankomt. Het ligt heel centraal en maakten zo gemakkelijk uitstapjes naar Alkmaar, Edam en Schoorl. We hebben ook een rondje om het eiland gelopen, wat ik zeker aan zou raden. We hebben alleen bij restaurant 't Kombof gegeten en drankjes gedaan, wat erg gezellig was. Astrid en Steef zijn super vriendelijke mensen waar we gezellig mee hebben gekletst. Kortom, deze accommodatie is zeker een aanrader!

Wir haben den Aufenthalt zu 100% genossen! Serge ist der perfekte Gastgeber, zuvorkommen, immer da aber trotzdem zurückhaltend, höflich, freundlich, hilfsbereit - uns wurde einfach jeder Wunsch erfüllt und es hat an nichts in dieser luxuriösen, absolut durchdachten Unterkunft gefehlt. Hochwertige Geräte in der top ausgestatteten Küche (Salz, Pfeffer, Öl, Essig, Backpapier, Alu-& Frischhaltefolie usw.), gemütliches Sofa&Bett, schönes Bad, es war schön warm (im doch kühlen April). Unsere Wäsche konnten wir waschen und auch im Trockner trocknen lassen. Vor den Fenstern waren Fliegengitter, im Schlafzimmer gute Verdunklungsvorhänge und für tagsüber schönen Sichtschutz. Parken kann man direkt vor der Unterkunft auf einem großen Parkplatz, das Auto hat man von Wohnzimmer&Küche immer im Blick. Wir werden wiederkommen! Thank you Vera for being a great host, we had a wonderful stay with you on our first visit to the Netherlands! A perfect location for travel to Amsterdam, zaanse schan, the beach & the surrounding area. Our children loved the play park & football pitch up the street! Very peaceful village to come back to after days out and we was very lucky with the weather so could enjoy the garden area in the sunshine. Thank you for the delicious breakfasts!! Would highly recommend anyone to visit!!

we had such a beautiful stay at polder's paradise! the bnb was super clean when we came in, and each cupboard had such a cute variety of crockery and vintage homely cups, plates, etc as well as baking equipment and all necessary appliances. the multiple soft lights around the bnb and the dimming chandeliers really gave the bnb a beautiful ambience in the late hours. the internet is super fast there despite being such a ways out from the nearest town, and the tv has everything you need :) the view outside is beautiful, you can sit on the heated porch and watch the sunset/sunrise over the lake! you are situated under 5 mins from a beautiful field of cows and goats where they are also kept in the barn next door, as well as their very friendly dog who likes to free roam around the neighbourhood and came by a few times to say hello :) sonja is incredibly friendly and kept and was in the neighbourhood at the time, and was readily available for any queries we had. we'd definitely return!

Ons verblijf bij Leigh-Ann was super! Wat een leuke, knusse en gezellige cottage. Alles wat we nodig hadden was er. Leigh-Ann kwam ons ophalen bij de pont en begeleidde ons naar het huisje. Ze is supervriendelijk en had zelfs heerlijke chocholatechipkoekjes gebakken. Het eiland is echt leuk. Het lijkt me een hechte gemeenschap. De restaurantjes lijken ook leuk, hoewel wij in het huisje hebben gegeten. Het keukentje is van alle gemakken voorzien. Het huisje heeft een klein plaatsje, waar je heerlijk beschut kunt zitten op de comfortabele stoelen. De geitjes zijn lekker nieuwsgierig en scharrelen in de weide voor het huisje. Zowel vanuit het tuintje als vanuit de slaapkamer heb je een weids uitzicht. Heerlijk relaxt! Het bed slaapt heerlijk. Echt een bed om heerlijk in weg de soezen. Kortom, we hebben genoten. Een enorme aanrader.

We really enjoyed staying in the house, it was spacious with a good garden. Convenient near a supermarket and centre of Alkmaar. Responsive hosts and good instructions. Strongly recommend.

Wir sind zu viert + kleiner Hündin angereist und haben uns rundum wohl gefühlt - die Wohnung befindet sich direkt im Stadtzentrum und die Aussicht aus dem Wohnzimmerfenster ist einfach ein Traum! Das Glockenspiel des Turms ist ein wenig nervig, weil es auch nachts durchgehend erklingt - wir haben dennoch gut geschlafen. Kleine Info am Rande: Falls einige gerne schon vorher ein paar Sachen einkaufen möchten: Es handelt sich in der Küche um eine Nespresso-Kaffeemaschine ;-). Der Treppenaufgang zur Wohnung ist beim ersten Mal ein wenig abenteuerlich, aber man gewöhnt sich daran. Vor unserer Ankunft wurde die Wohnung wohl frisch renoviert, daher kann man sagen: Ausstattung, Sauberkeit & Deko einfach top! Wir kommen gerne wieder.
