Silvia was a wonderful host and the local groundskeepers were lovely as well. Silvia went above and beyond, helping us to communicate to the airline regarding our luggage that didnt arrive. the place was exactly as posted and an amazing value, and was perfect for what we needed. it was wonderfully located from all the sights, and perfectly secluded for our family with little kids. We would love to stay here again when we come back to Cosra Rica!

Really beautiful appartment in a very quiet environment. Jose was really friendly and always ready to help. We enjoyed the stay in Monteverde in this room. Would highly recommend Jose and this room if you want to stay some days in Monteverde!

This apartment is good, just as described in the listing. It's equipped with everything necessary and all appliances and WiFi work well. Good stay!

We really loved this Airbnb. The small casita was very comfortable, had great views, friendly animals that came to say hello regularly and was close to lots of activities near the lake and town. The space felt clean, super safe, and homey. We will definitely book again, our favorite place near the lake so far!!

Beautiful garden and so very peaceful! Gerhard met us at the gate which was so helpful because it was not very easy to find plus it was dark so even harder. He was very informative about the area. Their dog Coco was so friendly and we enjoyed having her around.

We enjoyed staying at Cat’s and Yolanda’s home. Even though there is shared common areas, we felt very comfortable and private. Afternoon swims in the pool and lounging in the hot tub was relaxing. Quiet mornings in the upper deck were peaceful and you could hang out and enjoy the gorgeous valley view. We are fairly active so walks into town were very doable. Atenas has a good mix of tourists and locals and is a friendly town.

Laurie and Barbara were excellent hosts, going over and above expectations at every turn. They were extremely helpful when our rental car had a flat tyre, driving out to find us on the main road to Tilaran. Laurie changed the tyre for us because the rental car didn't have the correct tools. Laurie and Barbara drove us to places and restaurants we would not have otherwise found. The views from the road above Lake Arenal are truly spectacular. The Casita is fairly close to many unique attractions. It is quite private and quiet, except for some men who were working on a building next door. The tastefully decorated Casita has a beautiful view of Lake Arenal from the back yard. It has an excellent washer and dryer, a comfortable king sized bed, a lovely bathroom and a comfy couch for watching TV. The kitchen had enough equipment for basic food preparation, which we appreciated. Any time of day it was great to spend time soaking up the sun and bird watching/listening. We saw/heard hummingbi

The sunset view is phenomenal. I wish I stayed here longer since it is near locals and felt like staying at a local’s house. Very tranquilo

This place is absolutely stunning. Out of the whole region, it was by far the most beautiful. The hosts are kind, friendly, and responsible — they offer breakfast or dinner upon request. The house is located in a very quiet and remote area, exactly what we were looking for. We enjoyed walks around the nearby surroundings and even hiked up a hill with views of several volcanoes. The house itself is very clean, everything inside is new and well-maintained. A tree near the house attracts a variety of birds — even more species than we saw in the national parks! We also had horses come right up to the house, which was magical. Everything was perfect. Just one note: there are some dogs on the property that roam freely and might bark at guests, so if you're uncomfortable around dogs, it's something to keep in mind. Also, the location shown on the Airbnb map is not accurate, and it was difficult to find the place at first. Be sure to message the hosts in advance and ask for Google map point

The Ocean View cottage was well appointed for a simple stay while hiking in Monteverde. What was not simple was the amazing view!!! We were there on both clear days with the ocean view on point as well as on cloudy days when the mist covers the valley below the Airbnb. Truly a gorgeous location and perfect place to stay.

This is the second time I’ve stayed here on a layover in San Jose, and it’s the perfect spot for a quick sleep. Emmanuel organised everything really well and Luis and his wife made me feel very welcome with fruits and a transfer to and from the airport. Will stay again!

This place really is a gem in the hills overlooking the village of San Isidro de Penas Blancas. Perfect for families or individuals, International and domestic Costa Rican travellers, to stay put; or to tour mountains, valleys and rivers b/w the Arenal and Poas volcanos and end the day in comfort listening by the pool in the gardens to Exotic Birds and seeing grazing cattle and maybe the big iguana! Mila often shares meals, fruit, coffee and Costa Rican cooking tips. She often invites guests on ad hoc adventures. During those outings, I had animal sightings, including sloths and a parrot; beautiful lush mountain and valley scenery always; lots of water, night rain as well as visits to waterfalls, swims in many rivers and even the Pacific Ocean. The Apartment is airy and comfortable. An amazing mountain valley vista (heart) from my hours long perch on the main balcony morning and evening every day! The place is exactly as it looks in the pictures. Very comfortable, nice, with A/C and it also has a laundry room. Definitely an option to go back. The hostess was always attentive to any questions.

We met up with Roxanna to get inside and for instructions on the stay. She was so friendly and responsive. The home is pristine. Besides the bedrooms and bathroom, the rest is open air. (So definitely make sure all your food is put away...oops!) We loved that. My kids played in the pool for a while and then we just hung out on the patio and in hammocks and watched the sun set. The next morning, scarlet macaws graced us as they ate almonds from the tree for over an hour. Great a/c in the bedrooms made the stay perfect.

We loved our stay in the Mountains. The pictures don’t do it justice, you need to see this in real life! Everything you need to cook is there. The bathroom is beautiful and bed is comfy. We would stay here again!

Great value. Peaceful and quiet surroundings. Very responsive host. Easy to get around by car, close to San Jose. The air conditioning was lovely in hot weather. We had a great stay.

La Casita is a peaceful retreat in beautiful surroundings. Everyday we got to see the mountains in different appearances in different weathers, right from the comfort of home. The house is equipped with everything you need for a long stay: living space, fully equipped kitchen and dining space, bed with blankets and pillows, wardrobe, TV, private attached bathroom with hot shower as well as washer and dryer, car parking, good WiFi. The patio is nice for chilling, eating or even working, with the views of the lush greenery and sounds of birds. Nancy is a very nice host, friendly, welcoming and kind, always willing to help and always available whenever we needed something. She is a lovely person who felt like family. We would love to return to this place someday.

This is the perfect air bnb close to the airport. We initially booked it as a landing pad for our first night in Costa Rica after arriving on a late flight, but I was so happy with the experience I already booked it for another few nights at the end of my trip. Truly 5 min from the airport, easy to find, cute and clean with mountain and volcano views. The beds were super comfy and it had a great shower too. Perfect wifi connections for working remotely, but the real highlight is Hernando’s hospitality, openness, and kindness. He has stocked the house with anything you need, is available for airport pickups and drop offs, and is loaded with local recommendations and insights. There’s not a lot in the neighborhood in walking distance but Uber Eats will deliver there and it’s only a 7 min drive from the center of Alajuela, or 15 min from Santa Ana where there are plenty of places to eat and walk around. ¡Gracias por todo y nos vemos pronto!

We had a wonderful stay for four days in this lovely cabin which looks exactly as on the pictures. It is located in the middle of nature and you can hear the howling monkeys in the morning and evening hours. The kitchen is great for cooking. We loved everything about this place, especially the friendly host family who is super caring.
