Beauty House - Apartment in Maiori

KarenRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
We had a wonderful time staying at Anna’s ! The apartment is huge and beautiful, spotlessly clean, and well equipped. The furnishings are gorgeous, and the kitchen was perfect to prepare a number of meals during our stay. Anna is one of the best Airbnb hosts we’ve had… so kind and so responsive. We had a couple of quirky things to deal with, and she responded and resolved our issues immediately. If you’re looking to stay on the Amalfi coast, we highly recommend Maiori! It’s a beautiful town, walkable, easy to access, both buses and ferries, and close enough to more popular towns to do day trips. We recommend walking the path of lemons to Minori, as well as the walk down to Amalfi town from Ravello. A visit to Vietre Sul Mare is also recommended to see its world famous painted ceramics.

Casa Limoncello

This AirBnb is such a gem! Set along the coastline of Praiano with outstanding views of the sea. Praiano is a wonderful location to base yourself while exploring the Amalfi Coast. The bus stop is just a few minutes walk from the house and runs regularly to Positano, Amalfi and Ravello. Praiano is much quieter than the other towns but has lots of great restaurants and shops. We particularly liked Cafe Mirante and Il Pino. Domenico, our host, could not have been more helpful in arranging car transportation from Naples. He also booked a boat tour of Capri for us with just a couple of days' notice. Beautiful villa, great location and wonderful hosts.

La Casetta B&B

EmilyRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Our stay at La Cassetta was one of our best Airbnb stays of all time. The space was gorgeous and well situated in Positano to restaurants and the beach, while still feeling peaceful and private from the hustle and bustle. Regina was extremely helpful and proactive in her communications. We ran into some troubles with our train into Sorrento, and she didn’t miss a beat in quickly finding a solution for us (driving to Sorrento herself) so that we could enjoy our vacation. We would highly recommend this apartment to any of our friends — great vibes and stunning views.

Flat in Naples | Holiday & Business

DevinRating, 5 stars4 days ago
Francisco‘s place was easy to find, it was also close to the linear one and easy access to the train stations. There were nice restaurants close by and a great little café and bakery as well. Lots of places for gelato too. Francisco was very quick to respond to our questions and helpful when we needed advice. His place was well stocked, he left us water and some snacks as well, making us feel welcomed and at home!

Procida,terrace overlooking the sea...

TerriRating, 5 stars3 days ago
First, take the water taxi to and from. It’s an amazing opportunity to see Procida from a different vantage point. I decided this apartment had the best view of the three Eliana has available. It dues not have a couch and two people might find it cozy after a few days. I loved it. If I could give this 10 stars I would. I booked for my birthday weekend. I enjoyed wine for sunset and tea in the mornings. The view out the front window of the boats in the anchorage was beautiful. Things quieted down when the restaurants closed which was early in late October. I walked. I drank in the gorgeous views. Ok. Nothing is ever perfect. There’s a duck, a very noisy duck outside the apartment. That’s it. The only negative I could find.

Castellano Holiday house

RicardoRating, 5 stars1 week ago
Very good and well-equipped house with outdoor and very nice space. Wonderful view. Annamaria , very friendly and asks, gave us tips of where to visit, we went to Amalfi and Sorrento, the locations are approximately 30km from Agerola, but if you don't know , the roads are quite winding so set aside an hour for each trip.

Domus Capri with private pool 15063044ext0609

KandayceRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
There are not enough words to describe how beautiful Pierluigi's place is....the pictures do not do it justice! This was our last stop in our tour through Italy, and we absolutely fell in love with the home, the terraces, the town itself...all of it! We definitely would love to come back and stay more than 4 nights next time. Peirluigi made everything so easy, from booking private transfers, a chef to come to the house and prepare a special birthday dinner for us, to our private boat tour to explore Capri ....he went above and beyond and took care if it all to make it as stress-free as possible. I still can't get over the views from those terraces, those were some of thr most beautiful sunsets I've ever seen!!

It is a great, big and clean apartment with a splendid view. The Raffael and his family are such a lovely people..made us feel very comfortable and they left us lots of goodies.. It's a good location to explore Pompeii, Sorento etc. train is cheap and takes you everywhere.. sometimes they go on strike but that's the life... could be noisy at night, but that's the town living.. I recommend that place for sure.. thank you

We spent fantastic days both for the comforts that the villa offered us, both for the hospitality of Mrs. Gabriella, and for the attention of the sweet Mrs. Maria who gave us so much attention, and for the wonderful sunny days that made our vacation special and unforgettable. We enjoyed the place very much! We were very happy that we were able to park on the premises. The supermarket is right nearby and you can get to the different places in 0.30-1h. It is always important to have a lot of change for the tolls if you arrive by car. We were very satisfied - thank you Antonio for the place :)

Lovely relaxing spot with beautiful views of the sea. Close walk to the marina and beaches (with great sunsets). Very well stocked kitchen with everything you would need. Some inquisitive cat neighbours. Just be mindful that bus times and numbers don't match those shown on google (better to look directly on the procida / bus website)

IL GABBIANO CAPRI APARTMENT

JoeyRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place is incredible! Very nicely redone apartment right near the port. Took about 5 minutes to walk to the apartment after getting off the ferry. I took my grandfather to Italy for his birthday and Carlo made us feel extremely welcome! He knows a lot of people on the island and can help you with any and all your requests. We ate breakfast at the bar he owns every morning and he offered many tips to help plan our day! On the morning of my grandfathers birthday he even came out and had the whole restaurant sing tanti auguri(happy bday) to him. It was great and my grandfather was very touched! Although there isn’t a common area in the home there is a great gathering space outside with a great view and kitchenette out there as well. This didn’t bother us because you’re on Capri you don’t need to be inside!! Would highly recommend this place to anyone coming to the island! Very easy to get around from this apartment. Thank you so much Carlo!!

Your guide to Capri

All About Capri

Famed for its sheer cliffs rising out of the Tyrrhenian Sea, the Italian island of Capri is a wonder to behold. Thanks to its mix of beautiful coves, enchanting grottoes, and luxurious shops and restaurants, visitors are never at a loss for activities on the island. The Piazzetta, Capri's elegant central square, is the perfect spot to enjoy a cool drink and watch the parade of people strolling by.

Located off the Bay of Naples, Capri is home to both rural farming and fishing communities, most obviously reflected in the island's culinary traditions, based on simple, fresh ingredients and the bold, sunny flavors of southern Italy. Enjoy being cooled by the breeze rustling through fragrant lemon trees, or warmed by the blazing summer sun that warms the Sorrentine Peninsula. Exploration around the island reveals secret coves and sea caves, sparkling beaches, villas hidden among folds of the cliffs, and towering rock formations looming over ink-blue waters.

The best time to stay in a vacation rental in Capri

Summer is the peak season in Capri, when restaurants are buzzing and the nights are long and warm, with temperatures ranging from the 60s to the 80s Fahrenheit. Late September and early October are also wonderful, as the evenings are balmy, the water is still warm, and there is a sense that things are calming down to a seductively easy pace. The winter, when temperatures hover around 40 degrees, can be a lovely time to visit, just be aware that there aren’t as many ferries running during the off-season, so you’ll need to plan accordingly. The highlight of the winter months is the Capri Film Festival, an international film festival held in December since 1991. Early spring brings carpets of wildflowers and the scent of jasmine and orange blossoms pervades the streets.

Top things to do in Capri

Boat tours

Book a traditional fishing boat from Marina Grande for a private round-island tour of Capri, where you will be able to view the island’s limestone stacks, arches, and grottoes. For a few extra Euros you can transfer to a smaller rowing boat and enter the famous Blue Grotto, which, true to its name, is a gorgeous shade of blue.

Villa San Michele

This stunning mountaintop villa, which was begun in 1895, comprises both traditional Caprese architecture, and a modern version of a domus from Roman times. The villa is surrounded by lush gardens and also features a café, museum shop, and concerts during the summer months.

Mount Solaro

Soaring nearly 2,000 feet above sea level, Mount Solaro is the highest point on Capri, and offers fantastic views extending across the entire island, the Bay of Naples, the Amalfi Coast, and, on a clear day, the distant mountains of Calabria. Mount Solaro is reached via a quick ride from Anacapri via chairlift or a beautiful hike that takes about 90 minutes to reach the top, where you will be rewarded for your efforts with a stunning vista.
