Impressed by how accurate the place was compared to the listed photos. It is that clean and Vivien added some more personal touches to welcome us (i.e., Easter chocolates and wine). One of those places that exceed expectations and where the host is outstanding. Had a great time in this place.

Wonderful little place for a couples getaway. Lots of carefully considered details, like binoculars! So peaceful waking up to the beautiful surroundings and surprised at how far the battery went. Was great to have instructions to download the app to keep an eye on the charge which was always up high! Would definitely stay here again ☺️

Perfect escape. Feels as though it’s an Airbnb Ellie has set up for a family or friend visiting as opposed to a stranger which is reminiscent of how Airbnbs were when they first became popular. Haha. Very clean, private and a gorgeous view for sunrise and sunset. I had such a fantastic stay, thank you so much!

Our extended family loved staying in Matt’s home. We stayed four nights for my niece’s wedding at Gabbinbar. The home was so comfortable, well equipped and spacious. Lots of areas indoors and outdoors on the enormous verandah for entertaining plenty of guests. The table tennis was a hit and so was the sweet little terrier Poppy who visited us every day. We had a couple of gatherings there and enjoyed the wonderful Budgee Valley steak and sausages on the BBQ with the family. Matt was a super responsive host and excellent communicator. I would thoroughly recommend this home in Mount Rascal for a truly, comfortable stay for large groups or extended family. Thanks Matt !

We had a great stay. Peter and Lexie are wonderful hosts. They welcomed us warmly and we felt straight away like at home. Their place is quiet, in a beautiful location. The views are to die for. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a quiet weekend away from a busy lifestyle. Our dog had the best time running around in the big yard. The place has everything we needed and we loved the beautiful touches, thank you for the Easter bunny, the hot cross buns, breakfast provided and doggie treats. We are grateful and enjoyed Peter’s local recommendations going to see the local steam train and its 110th birthday and Toowoomba’s beautiful gardens. Everything was just a short drive away. Thank you for a great weekend away. We can’t recommend Peter’s and Lexie’s place enough and we are sure we will be back.

Beautiful house to stay in and so good to have the lodge beside so all the family could stay together.

We had such a beautiful stay at this property! The space was spotless, stylish, and thoughtfully set up for comfort and relaxation. The bed was incredibly comfy, the kitchen had everything we needed, and the peaceful surroundings made it feel like a true getaway. We especially loved the fire pit and outdoor seating area—perfect for morning coffees or an evening glass of wine. Penny and Calvin were warm, welcoming, and responsive, making check-in a breeze. Would absolutely recommend this place to anyone looking for a quiet, cosy escape with great amenities. We’ll definitely be back!
