Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Wick

The Noddle is in a fantastic location, a short distance from the ferry and quite central on the island of Hoy & South Walls. There was only 2 of us and dogs, so it would be excellent for families & friends, but the space was great. Well equipped kitchen for cooking and baking, the lunch was bright, but the light in the conservatory was so good, comfortable day bed for relaxing, reading, drawing and soaking up the view. We took wood with us for the fire, but didn't use it as the house was lovely and warm. The garden was lovely, easy access to the burn and beach. walking distance to 'Emily's' tearoom, where we had an excellent dinner, great for special occasions (booking recommended), also walked to Scapa Flow visitor centre for lunch (quite basic). There's a lovely cafe at top end of Hoy, Beneath'ill, recommended if you are going to Rackwick - amazing beach. Been to Hoy a few times, loved our week at The Noddle. Tony was quick to respond to any queries. We'll be back.

The only trouble was no house number on the outside of the house. 😄The house was clean and everything we needed. The host responded to every request in minutes. I would recommend this house and will stay again!

The house was perfect for us. Great location, great space for the 6 of us. Enjoyed our meals around the kitchen table and comfortable in the lounge.

This was a lovely house and a good base for exploring Caithness. The house was well equipped, the beds were very comfortable and the showers were hot. The house was lovely and warm to combat the chilly weather outside! Our hosts were friendly and check in / check out was simple. There was plenty of room for the 10 people in our party. Our children particularly enjoyed the sand dunes at Dunnet Bay and rock pooling at Ham Harbour - even in the rain. There was a nice walk from nearby Lybster Harbour along the cliff tops.

Lovely location. Stunning house . Had everything provided for dogs also which was great even treats . Communication after checkout has been zero which has been strange as before was very responsive

We loved Dornoch and Ann’s cottage! Great location, an easy walk to the beach, all the shops, pubs, restaurants. The cottage is charming and cozy, had everything we needed, even a cozy fire in the inviting living room.

A beautiful cottage with everything you need for a relaxing stay. The cottage was absolutely spotless and you can tell it is lovingly looked after. A lovely comfy bed so a great nights sleep was had. Would definitely recommend to others if they are ever in the area.

This was the perfect family holiday location, the house had everything and more than we needed. You could walk to the beach from the house in 2 minutes. The beach was perfect for leisurely toddler strolls and evening runs. We cannot wait to plan our next trip, this home is an absolute gem of a find and we hope to return soon. Really enjoyed my stay here. Was here for 2 weeks and was really happy with it. I didn’t realise there was no bedroom and it was just a sofa bed but that’s because I didn’t read the listing properly! The sofa bed was still very comfortable and there is enough space for sure. The area was a bit loud at night from teenagers kicking about but I think it must just be because of Easter break. Nice stay otherwise :)

The apartment was perfect for my stay. The location is ideal. The apartment is immaculate and has everything you could need. Everything was communicated very well, and the check in / check out process couldn’t have been easier.

Had stayed there for 1 night, Stevie was very helpful in explaining the property location and check in was very smooth. It looked exactly as shown in the pictures. Free Parking is available within 2 mins walk. Great host and good property if you are looking for a stopover while covering the North coast 500. Tesco, Lidl and few restaurants are nearby the location. 15 mins drive to the Lands End - John Groaths.

I have lived in this apartment fore three month now, and I have been really happy with everything. The apartment is nicely equipped, and everything is nice and clean. For me is has been then perfect place to relax, after long working days on projects in the local area. The host, Steven, has been a really good host. Whenever there was anything with the apartment, he got it fixed straight away. I can only give Steve and the apartment 5 stars.

This place is a great find. Great location, very clean, has everything you need for a long weekend away. Also, a lot bigger in reality than it looks in the pictures which was a plus. Dornoch is a beautiful place. Would definitely recommend this place. Check in was super easy and opposite the office where you collect the keys. Perfect.
