Queen Elizabeth Gorge House

DanielRating, 5 stars8 months ago
The place on top of the hill offers amazing views. 2 wonderfull small birds stay around the house and we even got to see an eagle on the pole in front of the house looking to hunt. Amza was a very welcoming host and helped us with all our arrangements for the visit of Queen Elizabeth National park & other activities. The gorge & community walk we did with him was beautiful and we learnt a lot from our conversations with him. Absolute high point of the visit was the Ugandan Diner at the lodge. The team went out of their way to create a beautiful feast meal! And it was delicious. We would definately recommend to stay in this spacious and comfortable house.

Relaxing city getaway

This is the spit to be..honestly it exceeded my expectations. such a beautiful, extremely clean and serene environment. We enjoyed our stay. The rooms are so spacious with a soothing feeling, no mosquitoes. Theo outside surrounding was just what we needed. I wish we were staying longer. Security is 💯💯 there's sauna and steam and it's 3minutes from mbarara town.. Alaine responds immediately and great appreciation to the full staff team especially Mulokozi who was veryyyyy helpful and accommodating in every aspect. Don't scroll past this place. This is the place💯 And it's so cost friendly. I'll definitely be back and have shared the link with all my associates that visit Western Uganda.. thank you 😊

Gahiza Island Retreat

One of the most unique Airbnb's I've ever stayed in. David transformed a tiny island on Lake Mutanda into a little paradise. Beautiful room & views, great food, lovely family. Perfect location to hike volcanoes or visit the Mgahinga National Park to see Gorilla's or Golden Monkeys.
A serene pool area is surrounded by thatched-roof huts and lush greenery. Sun loungers are positioned along the poolside, with gentle curves in the pool's shape inviting relaxation. Palm trees and vibrant shrubs contribute to a tranquil environment under a partly cloudy sky.

La casa es muy cómoda, eres del pueblo pero es una zona muy tranquila. Los jardines son muy amplios. El lago Bunyonyi apenas está a 8 kms.
A spacious terrace offers an outdoor dining area, featuring a large wooden table surrounded by intricately woven chairs. The area is framed by wooden beams and overlooks lush greenery and Kyaninga Crater Lake, providing a serene setting for meals or relaxation.

Crater Lake House - Crater lake views

NaomiRating, 5 stars4 months ago
This is an amazing house with an absolutely stunning view over the beautiful lake and hills! The house is very large and well set up: there is a large communal living area and kitchen, huge terrace and several bed- and bathrooms. Two families can easily share. Christopher the housekeeper was very helpful and set up a fire for us on the first night. We had a wonderful time and I would be very happy to return! One thing we were disappointed about: The jetty to the lake was broken in parts, which made it difficult to get into and out of the lake. I suggest future guests who want to use the lake for swimming check with the house owners if the jetty has been repaired. Thanks!

Pross Residence

Proscovia and Mark are great hosts! They made me feel at home. Proscovia is very friendly and easy to start a conversation especially if you like playing golf. Mark is a super polite and hardworking kid. The place is super cool! It peaceful and has a big yard! The host knows the bus driver who drives toward the Queen Elizabeth National Park. The bus picks you up early in the morning (around 8am) right in front of Pros' place. As her if you need more info. She is cool!
A lounge area features two armchairs and a small wooden table, surrounded by lush greenery. The chairs are designed with modern geometric patterns, and a colorful cushion adds a pop of color. Natural light filters in through large windows, enhancing the serene environment.

Karungi Camp

LisaRating, 5 stars70 months ago
We felt like home all the time! The staff was extraordinarily friendly! We never had so many nice conversations since travelling through countries. The experiences we made were amazing. The Karungi-Camp Team will fulfill all your dreams. We had the chance to go to an international wedding, join a soccer match, hike though the area, get to know alot of the village and be a part of it. Thank you so much! Lisa & Sebastian P.S.: The shower was the best shower in Uganda :)
