This property is an oasis of calm and luxury while being easily accessible. Mr Tsewang and Mrs Michele are avuncular, amiable and treated me like a family member. This charming couple is easily one of the best hosts. With their stories and anecdotes compiled from a wealth of experience living in different parts of the world, daily breakfast with them was a highlight of my trip. It was a privilege to be able to share some parts of their lives via insightful conversations and I will treasure these memories. Mr Tenzing is hospitable to a fault and served up excellent food daily. The house has minute touches that elevates your stay with the kind of views guaranteed to leave you awestruck. Everything is squeaky clean and you are provided with all the sundries while being next to a well appointed grocery store. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone yearning for a cozy and insightful stay in the Himalayas. There are no better hosts than Mr and Mrs Topden.

This bungalow is one of the iconic buildings of yesteryears Kalimpong The bungalow is beautifully kept, restoring old bits and parts and modernizing them for daily comfort. We loved the simple decor, massive open garden and the food The chef and the manager in site are extremely courteous and helpful. We were a family of 7 and we were very well taken care of. Rita personally came and met us, and gave us a hand baked cake and muffins. The location is serene, quite and peaceful. The rooms are very well equipped and clean. And the staff is there throughout. For sure, one of our best ever stays

We had a 3 night stay at Sanjay's place and though it was pretty warm at Kalimpong, the house was cool, covered with greenery all around. If you like places which are away from the hustle and bustle, tucked within greenery, then this is the place to go. Food was homely and delicious. My 10 year old son was busy througout the stay playing in the adjoining areas in the property. We were travelling with old parents and my wife was recovering from a fractured foot so when we navigated through the flight of stairs to reach to our cottage, they did not seem happy. But all of that was gone the next days as they enjoyed all the walk they could get amidst the purity of nature. Sanjay and his staff are super responsive and always there with a smile. So in short, if you are looking at this property and reading my review, my suggestion would be to go ahead and book.

We spent a couple of days at this serene retreat and absolutely loved it! Our ever-smiling host, Lama Pasang, was incredibly helpful. The presence of the super-friendly dogs was a much-appreciated bonus. While local food options were limited, they were delicious and very reasonably priced. We would love to visit again — preferably for a longer stay!

The homemade meals prepared by Bhasker and his family were delicious, with a mix of traditional Nepali and Bengali dishes. It truly felt like a home away from home. What stood out the most was Bhasker’s genuine kindness and personal touch. He was always available to help with any requests Overall, if you’re looking for a warm, welcoming, and authentic experience in Darjeeling, I highly recommend staying at Bhasker’s homestay.

If you’re looking for a remote getaway that offers privacy and the charm of village and farm living, this is the perfect place. My friends and I absolutely loved our stay here. The property is beautifully maintained, and the hospitality provided by the host and their family was exceptional. From the homemade, organic food to the locally crafted liquor, everything was delicious and healthy. The barbecue prepared by the host was a highlight—absolutely “yum yum”! They also went above and beyond to assist us with local sightseeing, making our experience even more memorable. A special mention goes to the host’s sweet grandmother, their lovely niece Neema, and their adorable dog Snoopy, who added so much warmth and joy to our stay. I’ve stayed at many BnBs, but this one truly stands out. The space is not only clean and spacious but also incredibly welcoming. What made the experience even more special was the host, Nindiya. She is exceptionally kind and goes above and beyond to ensure her guests feel comfortable and at home. Her warmth and hospitality made all the difference. Sangay and Karma are great hosts. They take only one group at a time so we (me nd my partner) had the place to ourselves. You can requests the hosts for meal (for a very nominal price) incase you cant head out. The place looks exactly like in pictures and you will have a cozy feeling. The studio has a good vibe. Books to read and art of other students can be seen and enjoyed. Pets on the property are a great bonus.
