Beachfront vacation rentals in Viana do Castelo

Very nice apartment, quiet, with a nice view of the wild coast. Opposite there is a supermarket, which is very convenient. We had a one-day delay on our arrival due to a transport issue and Mariana adapted, thank you again. We'll be happy to come back to this apartment if we go back to Ancora.

A very nice and comfortable place to stay for our walk on the Camino. We were very happy and content!

Peter's place is simply amazing. Quiet, clean, bright and just a 2 minutes walk to the beach. Highly recommended. Peter and his wife are very welcoming and responsive. We'll certainly repeat.

Had a fantastic week at Cabedelo beach. Apartment was comfortable and very well equipped. Communication with Hugo was excellent- a great host. We made good use of the pool and beach and used the ferry boat to go into town. Aquario and Foz restaurants were both very good and only a couple of minutes walk away. We also liked the north club beach bar for a sunset drink. Loved that the area is not super touristy and a great base to explore northern Portugal.

Really nice place for 2 people or even family stay. Cozy and shiny apartment with everything you need inside for a comfortable stay. Rosa was very communicative, friendly and responsible - very nice host. The apartment was clean and all set for the guest stay. Beautiful ocean views and fancy garden. Definitely recommended. We had a great time, as quiet as we wanted, you can take walks, the market on Thursday morning in Barcelos and its rooster, we are not too far from the sea and the city of Viana do Castelo

Can’t say enough nice things about the hosts… met me at the lodging and showed me the place. Very responsive to any questions I had. She spoke no English and I speak no Portuguese… thank goodness for GoogleTranslate! The only problem I had was the toilet seat rusted at the bolts and broke off… I let her know at 10:00pm… and by 9am the next morning… had come by and had it fixed… I was very grateful! The views overlooking the beach, castle, and Atlantic Ocean were stunning… just looked out from the large deck or even from inside on the couch at the ocean… very calming! I would stay there forever if I could! I became a “regular” at the nearby restaurants, pharmacy, and grocery stores… even with my limited Portuguese language skills… very friendly people! Note: There IS a train 🚂 behind the property… starts at 5:15am & ends at 11:30pm… goes by about every 45-60 minutes. Moved my mattress to the living room… never heard the train again. I would rent again!

It was fantastic time in the Tue’s house. The garden is really spectacular.

We felt very comfortable in the little house. The beach is nearby but a little bit away from the more crowded parts of Fão.

The house is very good, clean, comfortable, with all equipment for a great stay. Tania is a kind person, concerned with offering the best, and quick responses. It made our check-out flexible, and since the wi-fi was slow on account of the supplier company, it immediately provided a signal repeater that solved the problem. I would!

We loved this house and the location and all the effort that was given from Pedro’s team to make us welcome. Thanks for the cake, the HUGE fruit bowl (that we nearly managed to consume), and the sweets, water etc. you thought of everything. The house isn’t in a tourist location but that is its charm, it’s so peaceful with a bar and supermarket in easy reach, perfect. You get some great recommendations , our favourites were Barzin, a ten minute walk, but the best fish restaurant has to be Oburaco in Esposende, the good was amazing. There is also S2 locally, it’s very good. We visited, Braga, Porto, Barcelos(Thursday is huge market day), Esposende. The house is located perfectly and we did not hire cars, instead used Uber or the local taxi company. We were a party of 8 and the house was large enough to allow peace in the garden, whilst others watched TV, or some used the gym, and others used the bikes. Note the bikes are great but there can be a forceful wind to fight!

Had a great time here! Unfortunately the next beach is 15 min walk away. The ocean is close to the house, but it’s not accessible and not possible to swim. Moledo is very quiet and it was always 5-6 degrees colder than the other towns around it because of the wind (I guess…? 🙂) Sunsets from the rooftop were our highlight. André was super helpful and easy to communicate with.

Ana is a warm host. She greeted us personally, showed us everything and gave us good tips. She was also within easy reach. The bungalow was totally cozy. We felt comfortable immediately and there was everything you need. The beach is minutes away on foot and yet it is very quiet. The bungalow has a small garden. That was perfect for our daughter. It was also great that we were allowed to check in early and check out later. Thanks again for that. We will be happy to come back.

Magnificent Sandra's accommodation, it is as indicated in the description, it has everything you need for a formidable stay, located in a privileged enclave both for resting or surfing, kite surfing, enjoying the beach, walking, .... As for the host Sandra, the treatment is excellent, clear in her directions, flexible at check-in and check-out, quick in her responses and explanations. Without hesitation to repeat at their place

Upon our arrival, Carolina welcomed us with great friendliness and professionalism at the time we requested. The house is really nice, clean and in a great location from which you can also see the sea. It's also easy to get around on foot. Unfortunately, we could not use the huge pool because of the weather, but in the summer it is definitely a plus for this house. Basically: very satisfied.

Easy check-in and good description of the accommodation. It was much bigger than we thought. Kitchen equipped with salt / pepper / oil and plenty of dishes. The dishwasher is washed in 20 min. wow! Lots of fluffy blankets and everything being clean. Good heating. Maybe we would have installed the patio higher up to see the sea better. The mattress on the main bed was very hard. We're not used to it and we had back pain. We slept the last 2 nights on the couch which was super comfortable. Owner very responsive to our questions and requests. I would this property.

Excellent and spacious apartment with amazing views to the beach. Very near (200/300m) away from it. The house was very well cleaned, and is very well completed with all necessary equipments. The location is very calm but also very near cities, villages and plenty of nice things to visit. Totally recommended!

Significant roadworks blocked access given by GPS, but our welcomer Eugenio arrived to escort via an alternative route. Despite lack of a common language the check in was efficient and comprehensive. We arrived in quite heavy rain, so an undercover parking area (suitable for small car) was a boon. The tiny house is quiet and peaceful, but close enough to facilities and interesting sites by road, and to the beach on foot. Would return without a doubt - great stay. Both our host and our welcomer were responsive and communicative.

Modern and single-storey, the casita is very pleasant to stay in and offers beautiful services as well as beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. The house is very clean with a lot of amenities. The kids especially enjoyed the games, bikes, TV in the rooms, like at a hotel, and the Xbox. We were able to have all our meals on the terrace, the climate was perfect with pleasant summer temperatures. Thoughtful and responsive, Fatima is a great host. The location makes it easy to visit northern Portugal, a very beautiful authentic region. The nearest town, about ten minutes from Chafé, Viana do Castelo, was a really nice surprise. Beyond the main tourist sites (Porto, Braga, Bom Jesus, Guimaraes, Viana, Valenca...), we also enjoyed the coastal border with Spain (very nice views from the beaches of Moledo, do Camarido and the miradouros porta do esperito santo/cervo). 100% recommended!

Quiet and pleasant area. The apartment is clean and comfortable, very close to the beach and has an area to park next door at no cost. In the village it eats great, Jose Carlos recommended several places we tried and went out very happy.

Very clean and complete apartment. We felt at home. Beach at the end of the street, shops and restaurants nearby. No difficulty to park on the street. Beautiful experience that also brought us fresh air after a few days of hot weather inland (provide cover in the evenings).
