Since 2013, my husband and I have been drawn to Tulum. Coming from NYC, Tulum provided an antidote to burnout and other health problems afflicting many people we knew. When the pandemic hit, we had a newborn and 2-year-old, living in a small Brooklyn apartment. Our mental and physical health demanded a different environment to thrive. Moving our family abroad, we realized we could reset how we had been living. In addition, Chris struggled with intense chronic pain for most of his adult life. After years of dead-ends, seeking help from allopathic doctors and alternative practitioners, he discovered the mind-body connection. This journey opened our eyes and we believe that guided cold therapy and breathwork are gateways to mind-body health.
