Highly recommend to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway. Easy to find, stunning location, private, clean and tidy. Hosts were incredible, and always attentive and putting so much care and love into everything.

We loved our few days at this property. It is as described - excellent condition and facilities. The spa was a welcome treat at the end of the day. The house was well equipped for cooking, plus had comfortable seating and beds. Very grateful for the responsive messages from Julie and Dean - and for putting on some house lights for us when they learned we were arriving after dark. Highly recommend this property and hosts - hopefully we’ll be back! Thank you.

Peaceful stay right in the trees! This was such an epic Airbnb - so cozy and homey while also being very well equipped with everything you need. Beautifully and thoughtfully decorated and the spa was such a bonus. Stayed 3 nights here and wish I could have stayed longer - would definitely stay again if in the area. Mark was very kinda and quick to respond.

I recently stayed at this Airbnb and had a peaceful, relaxing experience. The location is incredibly quiet and serene—perfect for unwinding. At night, it’s dark enough for star gazing and astrophotography. Sadly, it was mostly cloudy during my stay, but on a clear night, it would be incredible. The daytime views are stunning, whether you're inside or out on the patio. The house doesn't have air conditioning, but each room has a portable heater and a fan, which was more than enough with the mild weather. Note that only the bedrooms have blinds; the living areas have large, uncovered windows, allowing lots of natural light and beautiful, uninterrupted views. It’s also well situated: Ātiu Creek Regional Park is a 7-minute drive, Minniesdale Chapel is just a minute away by car or a 5-minute walk, and Port Albert Wharf is about 10 minutes. Overall, it’s a lovely, peaceful getaway perfect for disconnecting and enjoying nature.

What a cute and charming little cottage! It was literally a 3-min walk from Oneroa town where there are loads of shops and restaurants. The property has a bunch of fruit trees and our 4-year old loved picking apples and clementines (both of which were so sweet and delish!). The cottage itself is so idyllic with its glass conservatory and cozy living space. Charlotte and Lewis were incredibly responsive to questions and were flexible with check in and check out. Also loved the spa they had on the deck, perfect way to wind down after a day in wine country. Highly recommend staying here, we hope to get another chance to stay there again!

Beautiful cottage tucked away in the Karangahake Gorge. A lot roomier than we expected it to be and was super cosy with all the mod cons we needed.

This venue holds so many special memories for us. Even with the not-so-great weather over the long weekend, it was still the perfect spot to unwind and enjoy time with our loved ones. Huge thanks to Christina and David for sharing such a beautiful place!

Great spot on the hill with views down to the caves, well set up and the deck overlooking the fruit tree was really nice.

We really enjoyed our stay - only wish it could have been longer! Access to the beach was great, the little touches in the house were really appreciated. A very peaceful place to stay.

This beautiful cottage is an absolute gem of a find and far more beautiful than the pictures. Set in a very picturesque vineyard with incredible views of the mountains and surrounded by incredible rose bushes - I don’t know what else you could wish for. We felt right at home in the cottage which was well equipped and privately tucked away from the main house. We were told to help ourselves from the lemon and orange trees which we did. Bed and linen are extremely comfortable and cosy with a lovely view from the bed out onto the vineyard with the mountain in the background. The toilet is in an odd location but definitely not a dealbreaker - you can access it from the kitchen without leaving the cottage. Outside BBQ was a huge plus. We would return to this slice of paradise in a heartbeat, good for the soul!

Me and my friends spent a wonderful weekend in Taupo at Sally-Ann's place cooking, drinking tea, and listening to music (thanks for very clear instructions on the Chromecast!). We will carry great memories from the lake and nearby carvings we saw there. Despite the rainy weather, our stay was cozy - thank you for having us!

Lovely, warm wee cottage - the log burner was very welcome on the cold nights. Clean, tidy and well-equipped. Backyard is fully fenced which is great if you have young children or a dog.

Lovely little house, simple and comfortable, in a charming environment. We arrived late. Fortunately, the instructions for entering the house were clear. Check out at 11 am is great! ;) Perfectly what we were looking for for a family weekend escape.

We adored our stay! The cottage was pristine. The location is great. It is right across a quiet stretch of beach and walking distance from a great playground. It is very close to the airport but recent upgrades meant we couldn't hear the planes from inside the house. Our little one was obsessed with watching the planes take off. What really set this place apart was how thoughtful and kind the hosts were. We have a baby and toddler and the hosts brought toys for the kids to play with. The kids had the best time!

The cottage is perfectly named, we awoke to bird song. This was a lovely place to stay, and very quiet. Yet only a short walk to the restaurants and shops. We'd definitely stay here again.

We had a truly wonderful stay at this peaceful farmhouse cottage. The tranquillity of the surroundings made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle. The thoughtful touches—like fresh eggs, bacon, and bread for breakfast—were so appreciated and made us feel right at home. The hosts were incredibly helpful and welcoming, and the whole place had such a warm, homely feel. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a relaxing countryside retreat.

The cottage was snug and clean, while Jane and Jeremy were lovely and responsive. We made heaps of use of the wood burner and there was a good store of firewood, and Jeremy gave us plenty of ideas for where to go walking. We also loved all the figs and apples - they even encouraged us to take some home with us. All in all, it was a wonderful getaway and such a peaceful time for the two of us. It wasn't as private as we expected (the cottage is only a lawn away from the main house), but that's likely due to us misreading the description. It was still quiet and restful.

Lovely peaceful, rural cottage. The beds were super comfy and it was lovely sitting out on the verandah watching 'cow TV' in tge evening with the very friendly and wekk behaved dogs for company. The host Claire was very helpful abd responsive to messages too. Would definitely stay again

We had a lovely stay at the cottage. Kieran was a great host making sure we had everything we needed but gave us all the space and time to unwind at the cottage. Bonus points to their lovely dog Charlie who was our guide on walks around the cottage.

We spent a wonderful long weekend in Shona's cute little cottage! The surrounding landscapes were gorgeous, we were visited but a lot of lovely birds. From the little fireplace to the outdoor bath with a view, recommended takeaway pizza, cute memorabilia and privacy and quiet of the place, I got everything I needed from this weekend away before our baby comes. we even took some beautiful maternity photos around the garden! Thank you Shona for this little slice of heaven :)
