The villa itself is stunning, with thoughtfully selected Balinese furniture creating an exotic yet incredibly comfortable environment. Every detail is carefully considered, from the spacious living and dining areas offering breathtaking views of Omura Bay, to the perfectly equipped kitchen and cozy, luxurious bedrooms. Whether relaxing inside or spending evenings out on the expansive wooden deck enjoying a BBQ under the stars, every moment felt special. The Owl House bungalows provided additional charm, creating peaceful retreats within an already serene setting. Staying at Kunikuan was an impressive experience. The sunset and the atmosphere of the "stage" after dark were also great.The study on the second floor was also very nice, and it was like a dream. Inside, there are many materials about Takeo Ikeda, and reading them will help you better understand the greatness of this building. The kitchen was well-equipped and the bedding was clean, making it a very comfortable stay.

It was a great place to stay!First of all, the full kitchen is really convenient, and it is very satisfying for us who are self-catering.All the cookware and dishes were available, and I enjoyed cooking with local ingredients.In addition, there were two toilets, so even for group stays, morning preparations went smoothly.And most of all, the bath was very clean and spacious, and I was able to fully recover from the fatigue of my trip.It was a nicer space than the photos, and I would definitely like to stay again!

The house is located in the countryside with fresh air, and is a very tasteful traditional Japanese house.The yard is beautifully designed, surrounded by greenery, and the interior facilities are also very complete, making people feel at ease and comfortable. The Host Karin was particularly enthusiastic and had a warm and infectious smile.She offered to pick us up for free, and we chatted and shared our favorite music on the way, and the atmosphere was very relaxed and enjoyable.Even when we couldn't get a car back from the shrine at 12: 00 in the middle of the night, she still came to pick us up without hesitation, and I was really touched. We also met the sunrise grandma, she was super cute, and she even brought the cat to see us off when we left, gentle and ceremonial. Grandpa planted the cherry trees in the yard with his own hands, Karin shared this story, which made us feel particularly romantic. Of course, there is also the buckwheat noodle experience that has to be mentioned!We made dinner together, Grandpa patiently guided us, and the buckwheat noodles we made were especially delicious. The whole process was very interesting and full of emotional connection. This is not just a stay, it's more like a warm life experience. We cherish this encounter and sincerely hope that we can stay here again next time we come to Koga and see the Karin family again.

The place is really really cool !! The hosts are absolutely adorable !! I 100% recommend this place because the hosts and the room will make you feel right at home !! The morning light in the room was so beautiful !!

Absolutely amazing stay!Mr. Koji keeps the space spotless, really clean, and carefully arranged, and you feel relaxed and happy as soon as you enter the temple.I also see that the plants in the temple courtyard are well taken care of, and I feel happy. At 7am, the temple will have work, and you will hear some drum sounds and other sacrificial sounds, but it does not affect the rest, but there is a feeling of spiritual purification, an alternative experience of Japanese culture. In addition, because the residence is close to the alley, there are occasional car sounds or passers-by talking at night, but basically there are not many people here and it will not interfere with sleep. Thank you Mr. Koji for kindly informing us of the rescheduled festival and fireworks in Saga, giving us the opportunity to enjoy the festival, fireworks and drone show, we were really touched!He personally drove us to the station when we checked out. Although the place is a little far from the city, there are many buses, convenient transportation, and nearby shrines, ruins, and shopping malls to walk around.I recommend everyone to stay!

We loved every second at this marvellous place! Takao and Keiko are warm and generous people who welcomed us to their place. They're very experienced hosts and made us feel right at home. The area is rural and exactly what we needed after a few days of Tokyo. Unwinding in the beautiful surroundings felt tremendously good. They even let us use two bikes they had which we made full use of to explore the beautiful beaches and mountain areas close by. We would come back to this place anytime. Highly recommended if you're looking for a nice, clean rural spot.

We loved our time at Hanneke’s place. She was so friendly and helpful. Her place had everything we needed. She gave us great advice about things to do, places to eat, Japanese etiquette, etc. We met nice people and saw lots of beautiful pottery. We will definitely be back. One tip: if you get off the train at Kami-Arita make sure you’re in the front carriage as they don’t let you out of the rear one. Also be prepared to walk or go to Arita station and get a taxi.
