Family-friendly vacation rentals in Strömstad

We are a family of four with two teenage boys. This was the third year in a row we spent a long weekend at Johan and Reina’s place. It is a spacious, well equipped house without being generic or over-done as so many AirBnbs tend to be. It is just authentic, lovable and personal - as are its host who are experienced, generous hosts in the best meaning of the word. We would definitely recommend the house to anyone who wants to experience Swedish skjärgård, its quiet and idyllic nature.

Large and nice basement apartment, with good bedrooms and large living room. Convenient with bathroom and shower in various rooms. Quiet neighborhood and easy to find.

The house has an incredibly great view, which we enjoyed in all weathers. Bram supported us with information and answered our questions quickly. The defective sunshade was also replaced within a day.

We were a group of 10 friends from different countries and came for a long weekend together. We had a great time at Annika and Jonas’ place. Their house is beautiful and well arranged, modern but still with the vibes from its history. The house and its surroundings have many amenities (hot tub, sauna, kayaks, …) and it was great to be so close to the water and nature. It’s also easy to do groceries in the nearby town. Going by public transportation may be possible but a car would be recommended. I can only highly recommend this house for a group of friends or with a family. We loved it!!

We had good days at the place. Eight adults and six children who could hang out and ”just be” outdoors, in the hot tub and inside - worked very well. A little trouble with the heat in the barrel where we immediately got answers and help trying to find a solution. Would love to come back! Annette

we were 9 adults 3 children and 2 dogs. incredibly nice house with all the equipment you may need. wifi was a little shaky but nothing we noticed so much. we definitely recommend this accommodation for nice walks, fishing and very fresh sea air.

Top house for many people! There were 16 of us who had plenty of room and enjoyed ourselves. Cozy large garden with room for everyone around the table. Very nice house and nice nature area around, within walking distance also for small children. Everything matched the descriptions and we would recommend this further.

We were 14 adults celebrating 75th birthday with 3 generations. It was perfect with jacussie, ping pong table and billiard table. The kitchen had a large fridge and was very well stocked for cooking. Great long table with room for everyone. Fresh flowers were on the table when we arrived.😀 On Saturday we drove to the World End at Tjøme where we hiked in beautiful surroundings. We had a good lunch in Tønsberg. We can recommend the house for similar occasions.

Incredibly great home for family. Large living room, large dining table with many large windows and fantastic sea view. Great location close to beach. Restaurant and bike rental nearby. Recommend to take walks along the sea in either direction. Very nice to bike around the island.

Great place with a great host. If you like small cosy cabins, nice view, silence, almost private beach, a little bit back to basic, paradise, outside shower (great!), nature, birds, great garden, and excellent hospitality you have to go here. Even with bad weather it was still nice to sit inside or on the terrace.

The cottage, although small, is perfectly functional and very pleasant. The sea view from the terrace is splendid. Possibility to walk to the sea following a small road very uncrowded. Eva is a very welcoming host who gave us great tips for excursions during our stay. Recommended!

We had a wonderful stay at Eva and Anders' accommodation! Fantastic surroundings and a quiet and peaceful environment. Close to Tresticklan's beautiful national park! We highly recommend the accommodation:)

Amazing space that is really recommended!! We have been here now for 5 days, 3 girlfriends with children aged 4-19. Everyone had a great time, big and small, and there's something for everyone. Large and plenty of room in the house, 4 large bedrooms with good beds. A lovely large garden with lots of opportunities for play and fun. The highlight was the pool and jacuzzi. The host has been incredible from day 1. Clear instructions, quick to respond to messages . Not to mention the help. We struggled a bit to figure something out on the pool, he then sent over a person who came and fixed this the first day . I sent him a message asking if he had a vacuum for the pool. He didn't have this, but the next day there was a brand new vacuum for the pool on the porch. We will be more than happy to come back and highly recommend this great place. This week has been great! The host is absolutely incredible - 10/10

Nice and cosy. Very close to the beach.

Beautiful cabin - old and authentic but also up to modern standards in terms of utilities, kitchen, bathroom etc. The area has great hiking opportunities (especially for foreigners who wants to see the rugged, glacial landscape characteristic of Norway) and free ferry connection which is an activity in itself. The host is pretty chill, and the "house rules" are easy to follow and do not affect the trip in any way.

We had a fantastic weekend at Terje and Helene's house. The kids had a great time with the pool. Huge cozy house in lovely surroundings. Peaceful neighborhood. The hosts were very nice. Responded quickly and clearly. Very helpful in finding solutions. We arrived late and had to get up early the next day. Terje and Helene solved this in the best way for us. Can really be recommended! We would love to come back!

We had a lovely holiday and enjoyed every minute of our stay. We certainly recommend this house. We felt at home and there is lot’s to see and do in the neighbourhood. The private island and he’s amazing sunsets is an amazing place to be. Gothenburg is an amazing, lovely and vibrant city and of course Liseberg parc is a must do. The beautiful islands that you can easily visit, different beaches to go in the neighbourhood… so much to do …. Just magnificent and the hosts are very friendly and helpful.

Adorable cottage/pool house with everything you need, situated in a quiet area of Sweden. There is the most beautiful and peaceful lake just 5 minutes from the house, amongst the forest. I recommend!

We spent Easter at Erika's place and it was absolutely amazing! The house really has everything you need and is more like a home than a holiday home, sparkling clean and so nicely decorated and thoughtfully designed. A big plus to warm up in the Sauna and Nordic bath after a day out in the rain ! Sotenäs area was incredibly beautiful there is so much to do, close to Smögen and Hunnebostrand . Ramsvikslandet for hikes . Highly recommend. Thank you so much Erika with the family !
