House vacation rentals in Sonafluca

Welcome to paradise! This is what everything in this house tells you since you arrive. The majestic view, the spacious areas, the amazing gardens, the surroundings but most of all the birds. I had never seen such variety of exotic birds so close to me. We stayed 5 nights and we didn't want to leave the house because it has everything. I highly recommend this rental for the beauty around the house and the strategic location close to different attractive spots. Pura vida!

all was well. great chef service, massages, jet ski, all arranged by lovely leandro. he was a pleasure to work with ;) la fortuna is a special town, enjoyed it a lot. were a little unlucky with the weather so volcano was hiding but all in all a fantastic stay.

Wow what an amazing view! Also an amazing garden full of hummingbirds and other lovely birds. Friendly horse that came to visit twice and reached its head over the fence. Neighbor Lilander gave us a picturesque horseback ride with a gorgeous jungle hike to a private waterfall. El Castillo is a remote, steep village. The bakery is terrific and the little market is super helpful. We enjoyed La Ventanita and Fusion for dinners. Anna and the other hosts were incredibly responsive and helpful. Thank you!!

We absolutely loved Bob's place! We stayed for 2 nights: 2 kids and 2 adults. The place is big, comfortable and beautiful jungle views and surroundings. What stood out the most is how attentive Bob was and went above and beyond to make sure we felt right at home. He responded quickly to anything we asked and was super helpful not only at Casita but also when we had random questions about Costa Rica culture or recommendations around town. There is a ton of nature to observe from the clean and well appointed Casita. Bob took us on a personal night walk through the property to spot frogs and other nocturnal creatures. The kids had a blast in the pool. Thanks Bob!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this Airbnb!! It was perfect for a group of 9 guys visiting Costa Rica for the first time. The house had plenty of space, and almost everything we needed to have an amazing stay. There was a top deck, book, bbq, large open kitchen, and so much more. Jumping swimming pool was amazing on a hot day, and the view of Arenal volcano from the second floor deck on a clear day was spectacular! The house is also surrounded by flora, and the back room has a view of animals like horses and cows, and a bird feed room. There is even a fish pond in the middle of the compound! Shelly and the Q house team were very responsive, and were very helpful in arranging transportation and activities. We had an amazing stay, and we will definitely be back!

We loved our stay at Apple House! The location was perfect, about 10 minutes drive from town. Having the private pool and hot tub outdoor area was lovely after daily excursions. We always felt very safe and all of the amenities were great. Highly recommend!

Everything was great! The place is a bit of a ways from the town (5 min drive) but it felt super private and cozy for a big group. Highly recommend it

Villa 2 was an amazing stay for our family of 5. Our 3 young children loved the pool and walking the property looking for birds, lizards, bugs, and the sloth. It was a perfect location to explore La Fortuna on our trip and was a great deal! Would love to return!

We had a great time at Daniela's place. It is spacious and clean, and in a quiet area to relax in. Would definitely recommend this place.

Absolutely incredible stay! I would recommend this place to anyone. The interior of the place was special, and the view of the valley was stunning! It was an easy transport into La Fortuna, which was great, but also far enough away where we felt secluded from the tourism and at peace. 10/10 recommend.

This home is an absolute gem! Great combination of a peaceful retreat that wasn't in the middle of the hustle and bustle, but still offered easy access to shops and restaurants with La Fortuna 15 minutes away. It struck an ideal balance – wonderfully serene, yet a reasonable trip to any amenities and many activities. The pool and spa were highlights for us; they were fantastic after days of activities. We also loved the easy access to the river right at the back of the property – such a unique feature! It's clear that this home is maintained with an incredible amount of care. Everything was sparkling clean, wonderfully kept, and it truly felt like a home away from home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would recommend it in a heartbeat. We're already dreaming of our next visit!

If I could give this place 6 stars!! We loved our stay and we're definitely coming back. The second you enter this place you feel you enter a luxurious resort. The decorations and details are wonderful. We felt so safe and it was very peaceful. The jacuzzi was amazing and they have bathrobes ready for you to use. The place is well equipment with complementary coffee, tea, and sugar. The beds are comfortable and the view!! I can't describe how beautiful the place was. We can't wait to book this place again.

Can’t say enough about how wonderful this Airbnb was for our family! It’s gorgeous, the wildlife was amazing to watch, checking in was so easy. We saw sloths, toucans, iguanas, howler monkeys, too many birds to count! We made sure to have a few days to just hang around the property and relax and were so glad we did. With all the property has to offer you don’t have to go anywhere. We hope to return for sure!

Great place to stay the house is beautiful with great views

The house was beautifully decorated and had so many lovely touches. The back deck was peaceful and the hot tub was such a nice option to have after a long day of tours. The gate with code made us feel very secure. Make sure to look for the gate as our Waze took us one street over so we had a bit of confusion when we first got there. Alan was quick to respond and get us where we needed to be. Good location. We would definitely stay there again!

Beautiful place, very clean and well kept, safe area, and responsive host. Google maps took us down the street to a different house but it was still on the right road so fairly easy to find based off accurate pictures on air bnb website

The Artist's Home provided a serene escape, offering stunning views of the lake and surrounding area. The house matched the description perfectly, and the kitchen was fully equipped for all our needs. Tanya and Rod were great hosts, always quick to respond and eager to offer helpful recommendations whenever we needed them. A quick tip for future guests: The final stretch of the road from Tronadora to the gated community is a dirt road, so be prepared for a bit of a bumpy ride.

Carols home was the perfect place for our family of 4. Having the private pool and outdoor kitchen were amazing. The home was very clean and we had all the amenities we needed. The tour guide she suggested, Carlos, provided us the absolute best tour of our whole vacation. He even picked us up at the home. We would highly recommend Carol’s home if you want to stay in La Fortuna.

Wow! Villa Laurel is absolutely amazing! The photos do not capture the true beauty. Karina was always quick to respond with a lot of suggestions and helpful information for our stay. We spent most of our time on the patio enjoying the beautiful pool, surroundings and the wildlife. The bird calls every morning were something from a nature station on Spotify. The location is perfect. It is secluded but within minutes from downtown La Fortuna. We highly recommend staying here and hope to return. Thank you, Karina, for sharing your home with us.

Quinta Urubu is a gem in the cloud forest!! The house is beautifully designed with all the amenities needed. The view from the deck is spectacular and we spent most of our time there. Sybil had recommendations on where to dine and shop, which was very helpful. My husband and I spent 3 wonderful days celebrating our anniversary. The house is private and secluded and ideal for someone who doesn’t want to be in the crowded and touristy part of Monteverde.
