Vacation rentals in Shigawake

It was such a lovely home. We enjoyed it a lot. We slept well in the comfortable bedrooms. And the living space was great for us. We did a lot, despite the weather! We loved the Veloroute and will go back to do more of it. It was fun for us, especially the boardwalk (that we could cycle) at Shippagan. Also, we had never heard of the Acadian Historic Village and it was well worth a visit. We went to the Miscou Lighthouse, walked the Miscou Bog Trail, visited the "Candy" Church, and just had a great time with our friends from Ontario.

Nous avons passé 5 jours très agréables dans le chalet de Lise. Je connais très bien les environs et notre choix de Caraquet était ce que nous recherchions pour la qualité de ses restaurants de même que l'accueil chaleureux de la population. Il y a un bon choix d'activités très intéressantes pour plaire à tous les âges. Le chalet est très confortable et l'endroit où il est situé est parfait. La vue de la mer rend l'endroit très reposant. Nous allons certainement y retourner lorsque nous retournerons dans la région si il est disponible lors de notre prochain séjour. / We spent 5 very pleasant days in Lise's cottage. I know the area very well, and our choice of Caraquet was just what we were looking for, for the quality of its restaurants and the warm welcome we received from the locals. There's a good choice of interesting activities to suit all ages. The chalet is very comfortable and the location is perfect. The view of the sea makes it very relaxing. Great stay!

Marcel & Christie’s place was absolutely stunning! The kitchen was well-stocked with a wide variety of spices. The balcony and hot tub offered beautiful views of the region’s unique landscape—perfect for relaxing and soaking it all in. Highly recommend!

Notre début de séjour a été plutôt laborieux puisque dès notre arrivé nous n'avions pas accès au réfrigérateur, au four et à l'eau chaude. Ce qui est décevant, c'est que nous avons passé notre première soirée à tenter de trouver le problème puisque Marie-Claude nous assurait que le propane venait tout juste d'être rempli. Nous avons appris le lendemain matin que le propane était vide et à ce moment j'ai partagé mon mécontentement et mon impatience à Marie-Claude. À partir de cet instant, Marie-Claude a fait tous les efforts nécessaires afin de s'assurer que nous puissions obtenir du propane le plus rapidement possible et elle s'est déplacé sur place pour s'assurer que tout fonctionnait bien. Bref, malgré le problème et mon impatience Marie-Claude a démontré qu'elle est une hôte qui se soucie du bien être de ses invités. C'est un endroit tranquille avec un magnifique accès au bord de l'eau qui nous permet de déconnecter et d'en profiter avec nos chiens. Merci pour ces vacances :)

Nous avons adoré notre séjour dans ce petit chalet en bord de mer, chalet très propre bien fini et la vue est splendide ! Nous avons profité de la plage qui est juste en face du chalet.

Angela’s house is just as you see it in the pictures. The beach is great and literally in your backyard! The sunsets are incredible. The house is massive with a big kitchen ideal for groups and big families. The house is very well equipped and furnished with a thought for every detail to feel at home. It actually feels like a friends home you would have borrowed, that’s how homey it feels. The only downside like other comments mentioned are the bloody mosquitoes who will eat you alive after 5.00pm. It might have been nice to have a protected outdoor area. Also, if you’re picky with the taste of water, this one tastes a little bit like lake water. We had a great stay at Angela’s and we would all highly recommend the place to friends and family!

We loved our stay at this cottage. What stood out the most was how clean the place was. We really felt comfortable sitting on couches, using the beds, the dishes, etc. As other reviewers have mentioned, what a way to invite guests. Austin and Ryan left local snacks for us, we had coffee and some cream in the fridge if we wanted it. We had a long drive coming in and it was nice not to have to rush out to get coffee and basic things. They even had frozen pizzas we could use if we needed them.THANK YOU! We were there for a small get together with a New Brunswick friend and we spent almost all our time on the closed porch. It was cool at first but they have a room heater you can turn on. And with blankets, it was perfect. It was April and we got to watch the different formations of ice on the water and an amazing sunrise. Sitting there with King Cole tea from New Brunswick was just the best.

We just had a quick stay but loved it! Cute, clean cottage. Loved the location and the hammocks set up, fire pit was great. Beautiful riverside spot.
