Sometimes when you're traveling, you have really fantastic experiences. Such was the case when I met this host in here, and together we meditated and explored two local temples. The first temple was quite remote, and it's hard for an individual traveler to find a historic and beautiful temple this deep in the country. We had a zazen experience there and ate zenzin food, and the food at this temple had some great jokes and secrets. It's the best Japanese food I've ever had! This dish is especially good for vegetarians and will satisfy everyone. The second temple was about a beautiful garden and a female lord. On my own, I would have just seen the scenery, but with my host, I was able to learn more about Japanese culture and Zen meditation. The monks were all friendly and my host, who is also a monk, was able to explain things very well in English. He was an attentive host with a lot of experience and expertise. If you want to experience a unique Japanese culture, I highly recommend it, and if you have a complicated mind like me, this is a great place to heal.
