Family-friendly vacation rentals in Schmalkalden-Meiningen

Our accommodation was very comfortable and the location was great for visiting many interesting places. We enjoyed the garden and trees and the rural setting. Apolda itself was an unexpected bonus, as was our very friendly hostess Erika.

I highly recommend! Check in was easy, the apartment was spot on and location was in a great spot on.

The stay at Olaf and Nicole's was wonderful. Also worth mentioning is the great directions. We were received very nicely, and everything was shown and explained to us. The house was very clean, everything as you would expect and everything you need in it, as well as some games. Olaf also helped us and stoked the pool. Wonderful location, beautiful view over the city, perfect to pursue your hobbies undisturbed or simply to relax in the whirlpool in the sun. Thank you very much and happy to come back! Highly recommended !

We were there with the whole family (15 people) and very satisfied. There was enough space and in the large living room we could all sit together comfortably. The hot tub and garden were also used extensively :). The beds were very comfortable and the sofa beds were also provided with a topper, so that the children slept really well. Definitely a clear recommendation.

Katja's apartment absolutely met my expectations. During our weekend, we found it to be an oasis of tranquility where you could completely leave the outside world behind. The spacious living area invites you to cook and play together and the sleeping options were comfortable and cozy. The highlight was definitely the hot tub, which we were allowed to use in January at an outside temperature of 0°C. A hike on the Ettersberg rounded off our weekend and many Weimar restaurants deliver their food to Gaberndorf. A great, modern apartment with friendly hosts that we will definitely book again! :)

Marc's apartment is a nice size and was very clean. We were greeted nicely, check-in is straightforward. We lacked nothing, the apartment was equipped with everything we needed. Beds are very comfortable. We had quite high outside temperatures, yet the rooms remained pleasantly cool. A parking space is available a few steps from the house, as well as the forest, in which wonderful walks are possible, so our dogs were also happy. Bamberg and many attractions can be reached quickly by car. We enjoyed it very much, we will be happy to come back. :-)

Super great place - we would definitely come back if we are in Weimar again. On foot a nice walk to the center(about 15 min), quietly located, have breakfast beautifully undisturbed on the terrace in the sun. Also equipped 1A; even with extras such as slippers (is also quite cold foot), various Playing and books, hot water bottle, coffee grinder & milk frother, tea, spices, etc.

We found an absolutely great apartment. The apartment leaves nothing to be desired. Highlighted are Erich's bread roll service and the selection of drinks. Erich and Christine are particularly lovely hosts and we had a very nice week. Our granddaughter was delighted with the in-house playground and of course the dog Lucky. We will definitely be back and look forward to seeing you again.

We loved staying at Udo's place. We were warmly welcomed and felt immediately comfortable. The surroundings are beautiful and invite you to hike. The vacation home matches the description and is very clean. We highly recommend Udo and his little cottage.

We (W31 and M33) stayed 2 nights in Sven's Airbnb. Everything we needed was in the property. What I particularly liked was the private terrace where we could have breakfast outside in the morning. Sven is very nice and communication went smoothly. We were there by motorcycle and could park our bikes in the garage, but there is also plenty of parking for cars on the street side. Overall a very nice stay, which I can definitely recommend.

The Grundmühle von Oliver is very idyllically located and for us it was ideally located for a meeting from northern and southern Germany. Unfortunately, we were not so lucky with the weather to use the great terrace and garden. The communication with Oliver was very friendly. In the evenings we sat in a separate room downstairs in the restaurant, where Oliver cooked for us one evening. That was very pleasant as the kitchens of the apartments are two floors higher and we did not all have space there due to our group size (15 people). We made two excursions, one to the border museum and one to the nearby moor. All in all, it was a very nice weekend. :)

Very nice and clean apartment in a quiet location. Kitchen and bathroom are perfectly equipped. Hosts Uwe and Christel are very nice and helpful. Excursion destinations are easily accessible by car. I had a very nice getaway, clear recommendation. Many thanks!

We had a great weekend at Kathi's beautiful cottage. It's all there that makes it very easy to feel comfortable right away. Great room layout for 3 families with small children, top amenities, tastefully furnished, lovingly decorated. We will be happy to come back!

Great hosts. Peaceful place to unwind

We spent a wonderful week in Christine's apartment. The welcome was warm and everything was prepared for the baby and my grandson (6 years old)... crib, high chair, toys, etc. We were able to use the pool and relax in the very well-kept garden. Thank you!

Linda is a great host. Our team stayed over 2 months in her lovely home. She is very polite and hospitality person. We highly recommend her place.

Spacious accommodation with good value for money, Marco and his family were friendly and the nights were very quiet. The shutters were also a very positive point. The only negative point for us was simply the bedding but it remains a very good accommodation

We spent an extended weekend in Mühlhausen. Since we are always looking for something with our little dog with a garden and dog-friendly environment, the city apartments caught our eye, as this was exactly what was visible in the pictures. Our expectations were exceeded. All super accommodating and friendly and in the middle of the city still having such a great garden is very nice. Clear recommendation and if we are around again, we will also choose the Burkhard family again.
