  • Great location. Exactly beside the sea. Katrina was a great host and very helpful. She let us to use her carpark and gave us an electric heater when it was quite cold. She also showed us where to dine and suggested few places to go. As for the house,it was a lovely one. There are a lot of board games and books to read. There's even a pool table exactly as in the picture. There were complimentary foods for breakfast and mineral waters bottles. You have the privacy of your own space but because of the wooden flooring above, you can sometimes hear people walking and chatting. The heater can also be quite noisy at times. But overall, it was a very good place to stay.

  • This location is the best - right on the waterfront with a very scenic harbor. Few steps to great restaurants. Friendly people everywhere.

    Chuck2017-06-29T00:00:00Z
  • This apartment is lovely. It's literally a minute walk from the beach, the pub(s), restaurants, a great coffee shop (The Goat in the Boat) and 5 minutes walk from downtown Skerries, yet it's quiet and nicely tucked off the street with no street noise or anything else to bother you. The place is appointed very well with nice bedding and towels and a small fridge with all the necessities. Katrina was a fantastic host and went well out of her way for me on a little scavenger hunt I had involving getting fuel to make coffee for the rest of my trip. Both her and her husband were super nice and friendly. I will definitely stay here again the next time I'm in the area, particularly if the winds are up as it's a great spot to go kiteboarding. :)

  • Quiet, comfortable and very well decorated with views on the doorstep and great restaurants near by - and an outstanding host !! Could not ask for any more !

    Adam2017-04-26T00:00:00Z
  • Exactly as described....although the photos don't even do the location justice....5 metres from the house to the sea and a lovely walking trail at your doorstep too! Katrina couldn't have been nicer and helped out with any queries we had.....great host, house, and location!

It is easy to get to Dublin city centre. The train commutes regularly and also runs in the evening. Karen and Antonio are great hosts. They made us feel welcome and comfortable and were up for good chats. We recommend to stay at their place in Skerries!

  • This is a lovely apartment, and somewhere we'd definitely return to, if we could. Everything you need is provided, including groceries, and the views over the sea are amazing. Jamie is a very considerate host, and communication was very easy. Definitely one to be recommended!

  • Lovely apartment in a great location. Living room & balcony make it especially suitable for a great holiday.

    Oonagh2016-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • It's a really lovely place, and Jamie was a perfect host, who went beyond the call of duty in showing up at our staging point (when our cellphone broke and we were temporarily incommunicado). Unfortunately, we had to leave early the next morning. We could have stayed days in this handsome apartment: the place was immaculate, and the views were thrilling!

    David2017-09-24T00:00:00Z
  • Jamie 's penthouse is in the perfect location. It's close to stores, restaurant and the train station. The view overlooking the ocean is magnificent. We loved walking on the beach every day and visiting all my Irish relatives!

    John2017-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • We had a fabulous night here Jamie was most accommodating and met us straight away to show us round. Only regret I had was that we weren't stating for longer only had one night booked but can't wait to return for another stay. We fell in love with the place it was so comfortable there and the huge balcony was amazing with such wonderful views over the sea. Waking up in the morning to see the seaside from the bed was wonderful. Would recommend this place to anyone we had two small kids with us and they loved it also we all had a great night.

Cosy cottage with a modern extension in the town centre of Skerries, a beautiful seaside town in rural North county Dublin. Large private garden. Minutes walk from pubs, cafes, shops and restaurants. 25 minutes drive from the airport and 45 minutes from Dublin city centre. Train station 10 minutes walk away on main Dublin-Belfast line(40 minutes to Dublin.)
  • What was really awesome about staying at Simon's was they had everything. We were able to cook with no problem and it felt like home. The back garden was so pretty and the whole house was very spacious. Everything was very nice and I had a great time there.

    Genevieve2017-08-19T00:00:00Z
  • This home was nice. Just a bit cluttered with the home owners personal items which is unlike the other b&b's that I've stayed in. The beds were comfortable. The wifi worked great. The only issue I had was that we stayed for a week. The microwave didn't work and we couldn't use the stove. I was hoping to be able to cook or reheat food and that was impossible.

    Lorraine2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • Skavoovee is an example of the best AirBnB offers: A cozy cottage with plenty of space and all the comforts of home in a beautiful coastal town vs an impersonal hotel with tiny rooms in downtown. Simon and his family were exceptionally welcoming. When our GPS decided to route us through a street that was closed to traffic, Simon met us on the main street so that we can find our way easier to our destination. Skavoovee is a charming home that has all the warmth, authenticity, and creative decorating of a local family, and set in a small town that isn't overrun by tourists. The house is very conveniently located with a supermarket and several pubs and restaurants within just a few minutes walk. A ten minute walk gets you to the beach or to a picturesque harbor (and more pubs and restaurants) in one direction and Skerries train station in the other direction (35 mins by train to Dublin or even a daytrip north to Belfast). Highly recommended for travellers planning to stay near Skerries.

  • Valeries place is just absolutely amazing, the view from the terrace is just breath taking. Located at the end of the north strand it is not far from the harbor where one can enjoy a glass of vine in the evening or spoil the kids with a delicious ice cream at Storm in a Teacup. Valerie was very helpful during our stay, and was even so kind to provide our two youngsters with some additional books and toys. Right from the first moment we felt very welcomed when she offered us her fresh bake icons and coffee. Hope to be back soon and thank you for all . Iveta, Fionn, Madara and Nora

  • We had a wonderful stay at Karen's place. The bedrooms were comfortable and cosy. After a long flight we were glad for somewhere warm and inviting. Karen was brilliant in communicating with us before our stay and on arrival. The house was in a perfect location in gorgeous Skerries and I'd highly recommend a stay here!

My place is close to seaside, countryside, airport (21 km), city of Dublin (30 km), and Belfast (146 km). You’ll love our place because of the location, panoramic coastal views, amenities and variety of restaurants and parks. Skerries is a fishing town based in North County Dublin and recently voted Ireland's Tidiest Town 2016. Exceptional family home with panoramic views. A 12 min walk to the train station provides good commuter access to the city of Dublin within 40 mins.
Private detached bungalow with secure parking close to thriving coastal town in North County Dublin.
  • Staying in this beautiful home is truly a great experience. You are welcomed from the gate. From the wine and chips to three kinds of milk in the fridge. Nothing was left to chance. This house IS close the Irish sea. The views are stunning from all the rooms in this house. Cleanliness is a huge factor for me when I (URL HIDDEN) house rates five stars. The beds and linens are spotless . Beautiful gardens to sit in with your morning tea. Proximity to the town of Skerries makes for a great walk to the harbor. The train to the city is a seven minute walk. We truly enjoyed both worlds. Mary had all the information for skerries and the Dublin CIty sights left out for us to browse in our own time. She truly thought of everything for a weary traveler. We cant recommended Mary's house high enough. We will be back hopefully sooner than later. This is a terrific place to have a holiday or to rest and recoup. Many thanks Mary and (URL HIDDEN) was everything we needed and more. Till our paths cross again. Carol ,Fran and famil(URL HIDDEN)

  • We were all delighted with the house, it is spacious and beautifully finished, with lovely touches throughout including underfloor heating, a library in the sitting room, beautiful views, large garden and plenty of space for children and adults to spend time together and apart! Mary and Seamus were wonderful hosts and provided many little luxuries to make us feel very welcome including breakfast, tea break provisions and toiletries.

    Christina2017-02-06T00:00:00Z
  • This was our first experience of booking through Airbnb and we weren't sure what to expect .However, whatever our expectations, they were out ranked by both the accommodation and the personal support given by Mary and Seamus. This is a beautiful home, in a great position overlooking the town of Skerries and the sea. The views are wonderful in all directions.there is plenty to do in the town with a selection of eateries, and Mary gave us lots of information when we first arrived. It is easy to drive or go by rail to a number of places including Dublin. We visited castles, country houses, gardens and beaches, as well as the city attractions, and had a lovely family holiday.

    Judith2017-08-15T00:00:00Z
  • Our experience was absolutely flawless. Mary was an excellent communicator, the home is gorgeous, and the views are breathtaking. The hosts went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, including some breakfast amenities and some celebration drinks for an anniversary we were celebrating. Heated floors and a wonderful layout made the stay incredibly comfortable for our party of 5 adults and 2 children. There is a train station nearby that offers a 1 hour transport time to Dublin, the local town is charming and houses nice restaurants, easy access to supermarkets, and eclectic windmills. Mary and her family were very welcoming and available to assist with recommendations for activities or to help with any questions. We truly hope we have the opportunity to stay here again!

  • This place was amazing! The view was spectacular and the house was very spacious, clean and comfortable. Mary was very welcoming when we checked in. She showed us the house and even gave us a map of the town and covered some of the places we might like to visit in Skerries, as well as the best places to eat! She offered great suggestions on places to visit while we were in Ireland making our trip a huge success! I would definitely recommend this place!

  • This was our second time in his house and we loved it again. Skerries is a great place with easy access to Dublin but with the peace and quiet of a beautiful beach so close to Dublin. We had great walks in the village and promenade and relaxing breakfasts in the local coffee shops . I would recommend this house to a family or group of friends that appreciates nature and doesn't need to be in the middle of the action of Dublin all the time.

  • Dear Mary and Seamus we want to thank for letting us rent your lovely home from home whilst we came from England for our sisters wedding. It was like being at home you had thought of everything and the children's toys were amazing we would defiantly love to come again next year and for many as we come to Ireland most years and sometimes more than once. We hope you were happy with our usage of your property it was lovely to meet you both. Lee and Louise x

Stunning beach side residence in Irelands award winning town. Literally on the beach enjoy breath taking views across the water. Inspirational. Have breakfast or lunch on the terrace listening to the waves lapping the shoreline. Skerries is 15 minutes from Dublin airport and 30 from the city centre by rail or bus. Full of award winning seafood restaurants, coffee houses and bars. No wonder this place was the only Irish town name checked as one of Europes top 10.
  • Michael's place was fantastic!! It was right on the water and was a perfect, relaxing end to our Irish holiday. Dublin was easily accessible by bus, train, or car(25 min drive). Skerries was a lovely town and had DELICIOUS food! Michael was a great host, very easy to communicate with and made sure we had everything we needed. I would definitely recommend staying here, and we hope to return one day!

  • Island View, what a lovely comfortable , home from home. Warm and clean with all mod cons. The icing on the cake is the beautiful location with stunning views. We enjoyed watching the sunrise with our coffee in the sunroom and the beautiful sunsets with a pre dinner cocktail. A peaceful haven. Michael and Alison are wonderful hosts, only a phone call away if any problems arise. Skerries is a lovely little uncommercial seaside town with a pretty harbour and beach. Lots of good restaurants and pubs with very friendly welcoming staff. All five minutes walk from the house. We can't wait to go back!

    Mary2017-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Skerries is fantastic and Michal's house is well situated with a beautiful view and complete privacy. It is close enough to town that you can walk in but far enough away that it is quiet and peaceful even when sitting outside on the patio beside the bay. We had a wonderful stay and would recommend to anyone.

    James2017-07-17T00:00:00Z
  • We were a party of 4 adults and 2 children and we stayed at Michael & Alison's house for 4 nights. It was perfect for a secluded summer beach holiday. WOW is how we can describe the location. Stunning views of the sea and the Islands from every window and sitting in the kitchen or the sun room, we were transfixed watching the waves and the tide coming in and out. Truly lovely as were Michael and his family who showed us around, took us for a quick shopping trip and a boat excursion. A warmer welcome and a better host you could not hope to have. You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Thanks again Michael & Alison (and the kids).

  • Wonderful week-end with friends in this splendid house: amazing view to enjoy sunset, sunrise, and seaside's view. The house is very spacious, bright, and nicely decorated. Michael is a very welcoming host, and the communication during the weekend was very nice. We highly recommend this lovely place in the beautiful Skerries, and will be back very soon.

  • The house was lovely with a great view. Shane and his wife Dee were very friendly and welcoming. They made our stay perfect. I would definitely recommend staying there.

  • Shane and Dee were wonderful hosts! They gave us a lot of information and were very helpful. We got breakfast every morning and we have our own living room space with a beautiful view of the sea. Public transit was about 10 minutes of a walk away and goes straight into Dublin city center. There's a supermarket and village nearby with great restaurant options. Highly recommend it!

  • Shane & his wife, Dee, were very warm & welcoming. The location was exactly as described and so were the accommodations. In fact, there was also a little living area for our enjoyment! I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

  • Shane and Dee are two of the most hospitable people we have met . Everything was exactly like the description and the view of the sea is breathtaking . They helped us get settled with the local taxi driver and helped pointing out where the best places to eat and see live music were . Their home in Skerries is truly relaxing and the breakfast is delicious , we would recommend it to anyone of our friends or family . It's perfectly located by the train and bus stations , but it's a small area so a taxi can take you anywhere around Skerries for very cheap. We have fallen in love with Ireland and a lot of it was thanks to Shane and Dee !

    Hannah2016-10-07T00:00:00Z
  • Very impressed with the warm welcome and lovely surroundings. We had very spacious accommodation including a sitting area with sea views. Breakfast was healthy ,varied and beautifully presented. Shane was very flexible and a gracious host. Definitely recommend.

  • Our stay exceeded our expectations, everything was beyond perfect. The house was clean, homey and well decorated. The view was breath taking and the sites were close and amazing. Quick walk into town to beautiful restaurant and fun local bars. 300% would stay way way longer next time. Hosts were welcoming and helpful. Best experience I've had with air bnb so far! Thank you again Dee and Shane!

    Aly2017-08-18T00:00:00Z
  • Shane was an excellent host. Our room was very clean, the bathrooms were very clean as well. Our view to the sea was wonderful. Just to be able to sit and look over the sea was more than we expected. We would love to go back and have a longer stay in Skerries and have a longer look around. We would certainly stay with Shane again.

The second of two private rooms that we have made available in our home in the beautiful seaside town of Skerries (see separate listing for the first one at Jacuzzi and Sea Walks, Skerries). You have access to the family bathroom with a shower and jacuzzi bath. A delicious breakfast is included.
The room has a comfortable double bed, a wardrobe and some shelving, and it overlooks a quiet back garden. There is free parking outside the front gate or in the cul-de-sac. We have another double bedroom listed as well (see Jacuzzi, Sea Walks, Skerries), so we can accommodate up to five guests in our home. The shared family bathroom is available to you, where you can relax in a jacuzzi bubble bath! The bathroom also has a separate shower and a bidet. There is free Wi-Fi. We provide a simple but delicious breakfast which includes freshly-squeezed orange juice, a choice of cereals, free-range eggs, Irish brown bread, jams made by Deirdre, freshly-ground coffee, and a selection of teas - caff and decaf. We can also cater for coeliac, lactose-free and vegetarian diets if given advance notice. Skerries town centre is less than a mile away with a fantastic choice of cafés, pubs, restaurants, shops, a thatched cottage Tourist Information Centre and ample parking. There are beautiful sandy beaches, a pretty tidal harbour, two Martello towers, and five islands offshore, with tours to some of them. You may also like to visit Skerries Mills and nearby Ardgillan Castle and Park.
Our semi-detached, two-storey house is in a safe and quiet cul-de-sac, fifteen minutes walk from the centre of the beautiful seaside town of Skerries. We are fifteen minutes walk to the train station and five minutes to the nearest bus stop. Skerries is twenty-five minutes from the airport by car. Dublin is thirty-five minutes away by train, and forty minutes by car. There is also a bus service. The nearest beach to the house is five minutes walk away, where you can see the sun rise. Your walk will bring you on by the long and sandy South Beach, off which there are five islands - Colt, Patrick's, Shenick, Lambay and the lighthouse island of Rockabill, with the Mourne Mountains visible in the distance. You can then proceed around the Head (called Red Island) to the pretty fishing harbour and North Beach. Here it is lovely to sit out with a beer or glass of wine while watching the sun set! We are a ten-minute walk from Skerries Mills with its café, gallery, souvenir and craft shops and where you can take a tour of the beautifully restored Mill with its two windmills. It's only another five-minutes from Skerries Mills to the town centre with its many shops, pubs, restaurants and cafés. Do drop into the pretty Tourist Information Centre with its thatched roof, and to Floraville Park with its family-friendly Seals sculpture outside. Ardgillan Castle, with its fantastic vista across the sea, is only a ten-minute drive away and is worth a visit. In the main house you can view exhibitions, take a tour, and enjoy the café, which has outside seating overlooking the extensive grounds. Ardgillan has many lovely flowers and specimen trees, a rose garden, a potentilla garden and a beautifully restored walled garden, as well as large fields and forest walks to ramble through or to relax and picnic in. The prehistoric sites of Newgrange, Knowth and Dowth are only a half-hours drive to the north-west and it's very much recommended to visit these, particularly if you go there before 9am in order to avoid the queues, as you cannot pre-book! Skerries is a very friendly town where people greet you as you pass, a pretty town with lots to do, and we think you will find it both peaceful and lively at the same time!
  • Hospitality second to none: warm welcome, fantastic breakfast, comfortable bedroom (plenty of space for all our things). Everything spotlessly clean including bathroom. Our hosts' enthusiasm for Skerries was infectious. It allowed us to get to know the diverse attractions of this little seaside town in fascinating detail: of equal interest to birdwatchers, beachwalkers, watersports enthusiasts, hobby photographers, bookworms ....etc etc. Great train connections to Dublin where we spent a day sightseeing. But we found Skerries much more to our liking because of its strong individuality and friendly community spirit. Our host couldn't have done more for us and we'd love to return.

Deirdre and her family are extremely accommodating and helpful with anything you need during your trip. Had the most wonderful time staying there!

  • Deirdre and her family are very accomodating. The breakfast was great with homemade jams and some home grown produce grown in Deirdre's garden. We also booked Deirdre's second room. Combined there is plenty of room for a family of 3-4. The home is in a nice community in the greater Dublin area with some nice pubs and restaurants along the coast. It is a good base for visiting both Dublin and the surrounding area.

This lovely and comfortable home is in the heart of seaside town Skerries. The house is five minutes from beach, train station and the town with its restaurants, pubs and all amenities.
The house is airy and bright. The accommodations of two double-bedrooms makes it ideal for smaller families, couples, friends. The kitchen is well equipped with cooking utensils and a gas hob. Oven is electric. Supervalu supermarket is a 5 minute walk, they offer a delivery service if bags are too heavy to carry home. We have netflix!
Skerries is a great neightbourhood with a lovely beach, good cafes (Seasons, Olive are two particularly nice ones) and a lovely harbour with restaurants and pubs. We think we live in one of the best spots as the house is in the heart of everything while at the same time being surrounded by green space. We are actually right beside the Mill Museum and the Skerries Tourist office.
  • Great house in a beautiful town.

  • The stay has been perfect, very nice house. Only change the mattress of one of the beds since it is a little sunken. Cleo is very friendly and very accessible and has provided us with all the information we asked for, besides being very attentive. The town where the house is a little away from Dublin, but in our case that we rented a car has been perfect to rest.

    Maribel2017-08-06T00:00:00Z
  • Cleo was the perfect host with constant and quick reply with and questions or queries. We would have no hesitation in recommending her house to stay in or for us to stay in again. The house was great, very clean and in a great location. Cleo was very helpful in recommending possible places to eat visit etc. The layout of the house really suited out family with a nice garden and the personal touch of fresh local flowers and plants in rooms around the house was nice too.

We are very fortunate to have uninterrupted views of Skerries Mills from our home. As Ireland's 'tidiest town' we also have access to wonderful beaches, harbours and very beautiful nature areas including the pond right beside our house where you regularly see Swans, Herons, Ducks and on occasions Otters have been spotted by our neighbours. We live on a very quite cul-de-sac which looks directly onto a green. Ideal for families as it is a very safe location to allow children play.
Our house has four bedrooms upstairs, one of which has a cot which is suitable for a baby or toddler. There is one bathroom upstairs and another toilet downstairs. We also have a large fully equipped kitchen/dining area, a playroom for children and a separate sitting room with a fireplace and TV. Our south facing garden is a very relaxing area with a patio and decking, ideal for relaxing in the summer. Our house is only 10 minutes walk to the numerous beaches in Skerries and also to the array of restaurants, coffee shops, supermarkets and pubs in the town. We are situated 7 minutes walk from the train station which operates services to both Dublin city (approximately 30 mins) and Drogheda/Dundalk and Belfast (1hr). We also have a bus stop approximately 5 minutes from our house.
Very nice well established estate in Skerries. Close to the town, train station, community centre and beaches. Excellent location to both explore Skerries and the surrounding Fingal area.
  • Lovely family home and a great location for a family with small children. Everything was available for us including cot high chair and baby toys. Made packing much easier. All the essentials were left for us and Andrea was a great help on check in. I'd have no hesitation in recommending Michael's home. Thank you.

    Laura2017-07-19T00:00:00Z
  • We found Michael's house having realised that with family arriving from Germany, Co. Clare and Dublin city, 14 of us to stay in grandad's wasn't going to work. The house is in a quiet cul-de-sac within easy car and walking distance of the Mills, train station, town centre and beach but for us it was the proximity to grandad's that was the most important. Because we were sleeping and breakfasting there and heading straight out to meet the rest of the family each day, our requirements were at a minimum and we were hardly there but we can recommend it as being in a pretty area of Skerries, being very convenient to all Skerries has to offer and that Michael is easy to communicate with and prompt to respond.

    Tara2017-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay in a child friendly house (cots, high chair, toys and stair gates all available). Great location and fast communication from the host. Would 100% recommend staying.

  • We had a lovely weekend away at Michael's place! He was away, so his Mum looked after us beautifully - she really went the extra mile to make us feel very welcome. Michael's house is great for families - has everything you need, from a cot and highchair to lots of toys and books - my 1 year old son loved crawling around exploring. It is very much a lived in family home, with the odd dent in the wall and crayon on the windowsill. This made us feel very much at home! Skerries is a beautiful place! Right next to the house there is a pretty old mill and some lakes with lots of bird life. There are two stunning beaches about 20 minutes walk from Michael's place. Down on the water front, there are some great pubs/ restaurants and a nice cafe (we enjoyed the coffee at Goat in a Boat). Thanks for having us!

Location is hard to beat: walking distance to kids' camps on the beach and at The Mills, the harbour and town restaurants and cafés - of which we tried a good few and loved all of them. We would definitely come back!

  • Great location to walk into Skerries or to the train station. Ardgillan, malahide & newbridge house lovely days out nearby. Lots of games & puzzles in the house which we really enjoyed. The kitchen/diner is a lovely family space & we enjoyed our time in this family home.

A beautiful charming cottage sitting on a cliff top over looking Loughshinny Harbour with character views of Lambay Island. Beach side walks and just 3km to vibrant Skerries with lots of restaurants and bars, Rush, Malahide and just 18km to Dublin Airport. Local amenities include golfing, fishing or just take a stroll on the beach. Access to Dublin city centre by train from Skerries and bus transport from Loughshinny direct to city centre.
Please look at the photographs. It is quite unique along the East Coast of Ireland.
Loughshinny is a small fishing village on the Irish sea front. There are beautiful walks and many things to do such as golfing, fishing and walking.
  • House was spotless and thoughtfully equipped. Nice welcome with flowers, wine and all the essentials including a lovely fruit basket. The views and peace are just what we needed. The pictures don't do it justice. Highly recommend for a few days away from it all. Car essential. Skerries and Rush have plenty of great restaurants.

  • Fantastic stay in this lovely house. Everything in the house was brand new and the house was cleaned to a great standard. Hosts were extremely friendly and very helpful with checking in and any questions that cropped up during our stay. The views from the house are spectacular and photos really don’t do them justice. Sitting having breakfast or having a glass of wine looking out on the sea was breathtaking. Highly recommend staying here if you want a nice quiet break with easy access to all the major towns in Fingal

  • Highly recommend this property. The setting beside the beach was beautiful & very scenic. The host couldn't have done enough for us & a gardener even arrived one day to maintain the garden!

  • Mags was absolutely amazing! She made it feel like we were staying with family rather than an AirBnB and went out of her way to help us! Also, it is in a great location and the town of Skerries is really cool!

Seaside cottage overlooking picturesque Loughshinny Beach and harbour. 5 minutes drive from Skerries town to the north and Rush town to the south, 20 minutes drive from Dublin Airport, 40 minutes from Dublin city. Very relaxing place, somewhere to unwind, relax and recharge while enjoying the gorgeous views.
This is my own home so is a lived in, newly renovated cottage with all the amenities of a lived in loved home, such as cooking basics, washing powder, towels etc. Enjoy the coastline from the balcony in front of the house and its cliff walks looking out to Lambay Island and the harbour.
  • We spend here two nights and were surprised how modern and spacious the cottage is. We were welcomed very warmly by Jen with bottle of delicious red wine. All equipment is new, there are two comfortable bedrooms and very nice and spacious bathroom. The cottage is close to beach and has nice views of surrounding area, neighborhood is quiet, however the bars a shops are a few minutes drive in Skerries. It is the great base to explore Tara, Newgrange, Slane and also Dublin. Thanks Jen!

  • We had a lovely time! Jen's house just looks great, it's very spacious and stylish, yet cosy and comfortable. The location is right on the beach, a beautiful and peaceful area that our whole family enjoyed. We loved it and our two boys said it now is their favourite holiday home! We definitely hope to be back next year and highly recommend the place

  • Fabulous place to stay almost want to keep it a secret as such a find; the interior is decorated to very high standard with everything you need and comfy beds to die for!! Beautiful location over Loughshinny bay with amazing views over the sea and nearby cliffs; it is situated down a long road off the main streets to Rush and Skerries, so you do need a car as the host states. However the remoteness from the main roads adds to the charm and peacefulness, along with watching the racehorses take a paddle and exercise in the sea most mornings. Highly recommended.

  • Loughshinny is a lovely, secluded spot with a pretty beach and harbour. The cottage is beautifully decorated and every comfort was supplied. We spent a very enjoyable weekend here as a family of 2 adults and 2 kids, while attending a family event locally. The only downside, which didn't affect us personally but might disappoint others was that the water quality in the bay didn't allow for swimming. We enjoyed a lovely walk around the headland though. Jen was great to deal with and left us some foodstuffs to get us started which we greatly appreciated. Would recommend highly.

  • We stayed at Jen's place when we arrived in Ireland, as the base for a lovely few days in and around Skerries. Jen was a most welcoming and accommodating host, and the place was well-appointed, comfortable, and a restorative home away from home to come back to at the end of a long day of vacation activities.

    Jeremy2017-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had a really lovely 3 days at Jen's little house right on the gorgeous bay of Loughshinney. We felt that we had found a little piece of heaven and a hidden gem. We can highly recommend Seaside Cottage. It was beautifully decorated and set out literally right on the bay. Jen was really helpful before and during our stay and we couldn't have asked for more. Even when there was a misunderstanding she went out of her way to make things right. Thanks Jen- we will be back.

  • This was our last stay before heading back home. We extended it one night and were very glad we did. The family was very welcoming upon arrival. John recommended a great place to eat, and he was spot on. The room and bath were beautiful and the views from the room were amazing. This was a wonderful place to stay and would recommend to anyone in the area!

  • Nice place to sleep, we did not met alisha but her father was there and he is very nice !! Lovely place , with the view on the sea, about 25 min from the airport !!!

  • I can't say enough wonderful things about Alisha, Anita, & John and their beautiful custom home! Such amazing Irish hospitality. The garden and views are amazing. Great restaurants near by (thanks for the recommendation, John). We arrived to coffee and great conversation on the back porch. It was like visiting friends. Definitely a highlight of our trip. Fantastic!

  • We were met by Alisha's father who helped us to settle in. The house lie beautiful by the sea with a nice garden. The room was also nice with great sea view. The bed was quite small for two people, but still comfortable. The service was great and Alisha's father helped us to find a nice restaurant in nearby Skerries. Overall a great stay!

    Samuel2017-07-09T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay at Alisha's home. Her family was welcoming, generous, and as others have already pointed out, their garden is beautiful. We only wish we could have stayed longer to fully appreciate her dad's amazing work. This was also an excellent location as we had an early flight to catch and their home is conveniently close to the airport. Absolutely recommend anyone to stay here for an experience just outside of Dublin.

    Leanne2017-07-11T00:00:00Z
  • The friendliest, welcoming family! We would highly recomend staying with Alisha and family.
