Liwliwa used to be secret spot for surfers looking to enjoy the waves without the extra crowd. The secret eventually got out and is starting to be known as a low-key tourist spot frequented by city dwellers looking to get away for a bit. You can expect the vibe to be very relaxed. If you're into artsy stuff, this place is also for you.
  • Great view, great stay, great scenery and great dogs :) We love their three dogs, they came along with us on shore when we star gaze on midnights. They stayed and guarded us hehe.

  • Will definitely comeback!

    Jet2019-12-16T00:00:00Z
  • I have a good kwento (story) to tell ;) My team and I went here yesterday without any expectations. All we want is a quick break from work and just chill. And friends, it didn't disappoint. It gets more relaxing as the day goes by. The faint sound of waves from the ocean, about 2-3 minutes away from our room, is mixed with non-mainstream/indie music echoing throughout the place. Talk about relaxing mash-up. At night, the divine breeze from the ocean and the cold Christmas weather lingered on our skin. Quite a serene spot for a chill night if you want to do chikahan over chips and beer (which is, by the way, not that expensive if you ask me.) They even lend us woven mat so we can (day)drink and chill by the shore. Like what I said on one of my IG stories featuring the beautiful sunset at Liwliwa, the whole experience kinda makes our adulting city life suck by 200%. Though a part of Kwentong Dagat is still being developed with more rooms, it didn't hinder us from absorbing all the zen, province vibe this place exudes. The air-conditioned cabins/villas look quaint, exotic, and artsy with or without your VSCO filters. Comfort-wise, you'll get what you paid for. Pillows could use more stuffing for me. :D For pet lovers, there are 3 adult aspins – all are docile, sweet, approachable, and super charming. There are cats too! (Not a cat person so I won't tell you anything about them.) If you wanna have a nice story to tell about how you used your weekend (or your fake Sick Leaves at work hahaha), consider this place as your setting. :)

Chill out in our cabana (oh na na)! Tadhana Zambales is an affordable restaurant that offers a private hut for rent for a party of 8! The hut also has an open area on the first floor that has swings and hammocks —a perfect tambayan place to feel the breeze. The Tadhana Food Shack is a 5-minute walk away from the beach. We hope to see you around!
    Liwliwa is a surfing beach.
  • The listing is super relaxing and unique! 😊 Nice interior and clean kitchen! We enjoyed the board games and the instagrammable view. Thanks to our super accommodating and kind host. We absolutely recommend this listing! 😉

  • We had a very memorable stay here in Tadhana especially to me. I did my proposal last February 14 and it was successfully executed. A big thanks to Fernando and Ate Cecile for helping me with my proposal. Kudos to your acting skills Ate Cecile! You guys were very friendly and accomodating. The place is highly recommended! It was very spacious, clean and cozy. It is also instagrammable. It is perfect for barkada and family outing. It can accommodate up to 10 people. The foods are very delicious especially the spicy adobo and tofu sisig. Even though we're not able to go to the beach, we still enjoyed the place. Thanks again Fernando and Ate Cecile. God Bless! We'll definitely go back in Tadhana.

  • I highly recommend this place. It's a nice place to bond with your friends. Thumbs up!

    Evana2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • This place is super nice! It’s like having your own rest house since you have the whole place to you and your barkada. 👍

    Luisa2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • We went on a four day trip with different accommodations each night. Tadhana by far had the best and most spacious bedroom. Meanwhile downstairs, it was an open area where we relaxed using the duyan and the hammock chairs. We also had fun singing songs on the guitar and yelling battlecries over foosball. The weather was cool at night, even dipping to 18C in the early Feb 1 morning, which added to a nice cozy experience. The walk to the beach is a bit lengthy but it was made easier by harder ground for the most part as opposed to trudging on soft sinking sand. But really, it seemed like a journey to the beach from the house which made it extra special, instead of mundane walks back and forth. Surely a must try stay!"

We're definitely recommend this place to friends and families who'd like spend fun and relaxing weekend without breaking the bank. 😊

The Fishers (The Fishers Liwa) is seated at the center of the chill and laid back surf spot in the town of San Felipe Zambales. The owners, Kay and Carlo, run the business to share their love of nature and inspire guests to embrace simple living, sustainable and responsible tourism.
Our A-frames are designed to be a combination of glamping with a touch of our Filipino roots. There is still so much to complete so there will be times we'll have workers during the day to further our planned improvements.
We love living here because the friendliness of the locals is outstanding! The warmth and the love that nature gives is just so fulfilling. We are hoping that our guests will also respect our place and leave it a little better than they found it.
  • The place is nice. Very instagrammable. Newly renovated huts when we came. Also nice people and dogs :)))

  • Really loved our stay here! You still have to walk a few minutes before reaching the beach but the walk going there is peaceful and the scene is great! Would definitely come back here again. 😊💕

  • We celebrated the New Year's Eve with Kay and Carlo. We brought food, wine, portable stove for our Media Noche but to our surprise they have prepared already everything for us. It was a great experience. Thank you guys!

  • Kay and Carlo was accommodating. They let us check in at 10 am since we arrived early in The Fishers Hut. The place was peaceful and serene. It is everything you would expect from the photos and reviews given by travelers. If you need a time of from your hectic schedule at work or just want to keep your mind off of things this is the place to go. You can meditate, eat, drink, read, swim, and smile to your hearts desire. Once you go there free your mind and enjoy the moment.

  • Had a great stay! Kay and Carlo keeps on checking on us if we're doing good and if there's anything we need. They're really nice ❤ will definitely come back!

  • Kay and Carlo is very hospitable! Will surely go back!

    Pauline2019-12-21T00:00:00Z
  • Kay and Carlo were very accommodating. They let us check in earlier than the check-in time. As for the place, we really loved it. It was a comfortable stay. We went here on a weekday and it was very peaceful. The hut was clean, as well as the common bathroom. Also, they have a bidet! We also loved having Achilles, their dog, around. Thank you. We really enjoyed our stay. I highly recommend this place.❣️

    Kristine2019-12-10T00:00:00Z
  • They were very nice to talk to especially Ms. Kay. She made our stay very convenient and comfortable. The accommodation was just like what we expected. Simple and comfortable place to stay. I'm not a fan of common restrooms but it was clean and has bidet haha. There were no water from the faucet sometimes but it's not a big deal to us. Aside from this, they let us in earlier than the standard check in time. We really appreciated it. Also, I just wish there's a hanger or hook were we could hang the towels inside the room. About the location, no fancy restaurants, just local eatery. A little bit pricey but got no choice since there's only limited restaurants. Surfing is awesome! I really recommend this spot for beginners like me. Overall, it's a good place for a lowkey kind of vacation. :)

  • Had our friend's bachelor party at Art's place. Common area is spacious and complete with TV (with internet access). Bedrooms were fully airconditioned with comfortable beds and pillows. Bathrooms were clean and the water pressure from the showers and faucets were strong. Kitchen was complete with stove and equipped with various kinds of pans and utensils.

    Noel2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • Walk to the beach, easy to get to from the bus station via tricycle. 3 rooms catered for 12 people as asked.

    Kim2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place. It was spacious! Sheets were clean, the bathroom as well. Thanks to Art and caretaker Denard who was very responsive.

    Nadine2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • First off, the neigborhood and location itself is great! Sir Art, Sir Denard and the Manangs were all very accommodating and responsive. We felt at home right away! The house is very simple - large clean open space in the common area, 1 dining table, 3 rooms, 2 bathrooms, 1 dirty kitchen outside and 1 "kitchenette" inside. The house is just simple but its well-taken cared of and everything is clean and working (from the CR, wifi, Netflix, ref, matching beddings in every room). The market is just 1 tricycle ride away and the beach a few minutes walk. Basically, this is the perfect set up for a nice quiet weekend with family!

    Noelle2019-12-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great sweet escape to Busy Manila. Awesome family bonding place. Worth it to go back. Thank you.

    Juan Miguel2019-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • The house was great! All 12 of us (my boyfriend and I, as well as our friends) were able to move around and sleep comfortably. Having a kitchen, a nearby public market and a 7-11, meant huge savings for us since we did not have to eat out the whole time we were there. The huge common space, complete with a huge Smart TV (which had Netflix), helped the unavoidable dull and boring moments during group outings. Drinking sessions were made more fun with Wish 107.5 (via Youtube) playing in the background. The 5-minute walk to the beach was a plus for us, since it was not crowded unlike neighboring resorts (this is our 3rd time to visit Zambales, giving me my bases for comparison). It was swimmable despite the huge waves and watching the sunset was very romantic. Our neighbor was also a sari-sari store which was very convenient for when we needed ice, which was always unavailable in 7-11. The rooms were also very clean and comfortable, and the air-conditioning gave us all a good night's sleep. Room for improvement would be having an air-conditioner in the common area, as well as having an exhaust fan in the kitchen. Sir Art was very responsive all throughout our stay. Kuya Denard was also a call or text away. 'Til our next stay! We will surely recommend you to friends and family who are planning to visit the area.

    Milli-Anne2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • From pre-booking, check-in and check-out, everything was smooth. Art responded almost instantly to any questions and kuya Denard is also one call (or text) away. Just a heads up, the beach is not for swimming especially during Monsoon Season.

    Niel2019-09-17T00:00:00Z
  • Art and dennard were amazing hosts. They were very accommodating and responsive. They didnt charge us extra for having extra guests on day trip. Dennard even accompanied us island hopping. Location was excellent... Close to public market and convenience store and a few minutes walk to the beach which was one of the cleanest beaches i’ve seen. The living area is very spacious and bright with extra height ceiling and sparse furniture which was great for us with little kids who love running around. They also love the wide screen tv with netflix and wifi. Main Kitchen was big, clean, and well-equipped for a big group and there’s a cooking/dirty kitchen in the back. Water dispenser with hot and cold water was a plus. We were able to grill in the roof deck and it would have been nice to dine there in the cool evening. Outdoor shower at the back was great with nice pressure. Hanging rods were much appreciated, but one needs some repainting due to rust. The only areas that needed more attention were the two bathrooms and cooking kitchen. The faucet in the common bathroom wasnt working. Bathrooms didnt smell too clean and we had to ask for tissue paper which they must have forgotten. I would suggest to install light colored tiles for easier cleaning and bring in more natural light. The small window and ceiling light wasnt enough. And it would be more comfortable if they installed a bidet (the tabo system made the floor always wet), water heater (a must!), and exhaust (to freshen the air). The shower needed some good scrubbing. The cooking kitchen needed more organization and cleaning. The cleaners must have been in a big hurry to finish because we arrived early, but we did go straight to the beach to give them more time. The 3 bedrooms can easily accommodate a dozen guests. The beds were comfy and sheets were clean. They could use a night stand with nightlamp (so we could read a book before bed and didnt have to sleep in total darkness), and nicer pillows (some were too thin, others were lumpy from age). More sheets would be nice for colder nights. They were very generous with towels which was great. The lounge sofas were comfortable but the bench seats at the dining table were not so comfortable. All in all we had a fantastic experience and enjoyed the fresh vegetables and seafood we bought from the nearby market. We love san felipe! And we’ll be back for R&R.

Open-style living in the relaxing corner of Sto. Niño San Felipe. Breathe in the fresh Zambales air and unwind as you stay at our cozy family house. Soak in the calm and peaceful rural life, a dramatic contrast to the busy Manila life. *Kids under 13 Y.O. free stay*
  • Exceeds our expectation. I actually checked the reviews and there are some people who are having an issue with the security deposit, cctv cams, bathroom, etc. but for us, the place is actually an almost perfect place to stay. We provided a P500 deposit which was later given back to us. Do note that they have P100 payment fee for trash disposal, pretty cheap coz we didn’t pay any cleaning fee. You just have to clean the place of course. CCTV cams are not an issue, its for our safety. No cctvs in private rooms. Bathrooms are the best! They have a really nice and spacious bathroom and heater of course. My friends are shocked because the house is really nice compared in pictures (normal) and we really enjoyed our stay since the beach is just walking distance, approx. 500 meters. Bay bay beach is amazing. No comment. Just go there and see for yourself. If you want to play in the beach with a little bit of thrill, swim between 3PM to 6PM, huge and aggresive wazes are the best! Not recommended for kids of course. If you just want to swim, based on our experience, go between 5AM to 8AM - waves are calm and safe lol. Good for kids. Thats it! Again, I would like to commend the host for responding to chats as fast as lightning and for having an almost perfect place to stay. I highly recommend the place! Promise!

  • We had a great time. Convenient location, safe, and clean. Great hosts. Definitely recommend to all. :-)

  • Casa La Bonita was surely a home away from home. We did not want to leave. We love the touches of the home especially how complete their kitchen is! Miss Gerryl's house warmly welcomed our barkada and we will definitely book this place again for our annual liwliwa beach trip.

    Mm2020-02-25T00:00:00Z
  • I’m an avid fan of airbnb and i can say that this is one of my favorite stay. I strongly suggest everyone to stay here. It is best for family and big groups. Two thumbs up to kuya Iking for taking care of us. We really enjoyed our stay. Thank you!

    Axza Maria2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • I initially booked this for barkada trip, and you know how it goes with it, unfortunate events, undecided companions, changed in dates and number of bookings, and when we finally decided to cancel, and made the booking for my family instead, Ms Gerryl has been very patient and accommodating host. The place is easily accessible via car, you can walk going to the public beach or through car as well. The beach you get is not commercialized so you have to keep in mind your kids cause there’s no life guards around and the waves are strong. Should you wish to go to the Lubong Nongaloan falls, if it didn’t rain for quite sometime don’t bother going there as there’s not much water to swim with as it is in our case. A lot of entrances fee too, parking, carabao ride back and forth, entrance and guide. Overall, my family enjoyed our stay, the house is home away from home.

    Pola2020-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place, got in touch with one housekeepers because we had to go island hoping the same day we arrived, we had a bunch of food that we didn’t want going bad so we asked if we can drop it off and put it in the fridge and it was all okay! Very great place i love the karaoke machine all though we had to stand very far back because the mic was to close to the machine (it was getting feedback) we just moved the screen a bit and it was perfect we were singing all night. I would 100% come back to the same Place theres lots of beds lots of room, if you want to go star gazing just grab a chair to the balcony of the place. Thank you Ms Gerryl.

    Harun2020-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • House accommodation is good to enough to cater a big group with complete kitchen utensils. Knowing San Felipe Zambales as a small community with not much AirBnB listing, this big house exceeded the expectation.

Every bed has its own individual fan, light and window. The common toilet and bath is detached from the the main house and is located at the back; 2 toilets, 2 showers, and 2 sinks.

We are located near the end of the road and near the river where it is more relaxed and chill. The road leading to the hostel offers a number of dinning options, including sari sari stores, canteens and cafes.

  • Host: very hospitable and cool Hostel: The hostel is simple that offers wooden bunk bed with individual fan, small locker and light. It also comes with curtain for privacy . The restrooms are also clean though there are no tissues provided. Location: It’s 10-15min walk away from the beach. The alley towards the hostel is quite dark but it’s fine with me bec it’s away from the hustle and bustle. Vibe: I love it bec of it’s chill and laid-back vibe. The hostel is simple fill with trees. They also have hammocks but quite small. If you are looking for a place in Liwa that is away from the noisy walwalan area, I would definitely recommend this. Though, I hope the vibe will be maintained. Kudos to Payak hostel! 😊

  • Great place! Glad to see that they are very ecofriendly. I liked that only towels are provided. I never use hotel toiletries anyways. They allowed us to check in early. Without ac before check in time is fine the weather wasn't that hot. There are sari sari stores around the area if you need to grab a snack or whatever. The beach is accessible to the public but there aren't much people around.

Payak is Filipino word for simple or grounded. Our hut, made of raw local materials, aims to provide you a comfortable stay in a simple way. The hut is located in a gated and fenced premises. The hosts stay in another hut within said premises. Payak Kain, a few steps from Payak Kubo, is a kitchen that offers few items. There are other nearby places to eat and drink. The beach is only a 3-minute walk from the Payak Kubo. Surf lessons and board rentals are available in nearby resorts.
Payak Kubo is located in a beach community called Liwliwa. It is in the midst of resorts and places to eat. The property is 3 minutes away from the beach by walking; 15 minutes away from the town proper by vehicle.
  • Aira and the other Kuya’s are very friendly and helpful. The place is very quiet and relaxing. We really enjoyed our stay, especially my husband who loved the hammock below the kubo. ☺️

    Maria Vianney2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The most relaxing place in Liwliwa! My stay at Aira’s place was exceptional. Aira and her friends are very welcoming and friendly. We enjoyed the entire experience – peace and privacy. Sparkling clean restroom and cabin. She even let me and my other friends (who were staying in different hostel) use the lounge area (at night and after we checked out) which she arranged with throw pillows/beach blankets. I mean, how sweet is that?! Would definitely plan a longer stay here again. Thank you, Aira and friends! NOTE: Don’t miss the pecan bar, brewed coffee, ahi and tofu curry at Payak Kainan!

  • Love Ate Aira's place!Tho I wasn't able to meet her, Ate Roby took care of everything. She and her friends are very nice and accommodating. The place was sooo nice!Location wise it was perfect. I will definitely book this place again when I come back to Liwa.😊

  • If you’re looking for a private place with a serene ambiance this is the place to be. Aira and her friends were a great host! They were very Hospitable. The place was nice and cozy. Loved that the place is eco-friendly! So when you go there make sure not to use single use plastics. The place was near the beach. You’ll be there after a 3 minute walk. 😊

    Louie2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • Aira's place is along the main street in Liwliwa where most of the cafes/'restaurants' were. But the place was surprisingly quiet and private. The kubo itself was clean and cosy. The toilet and shower were clean as well. There was a bit of water shortage during our stay but that was normal in Liwliwa. We hope to get to stay at Aira's place again.

    Janilyne2020-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our stay and we will def go back! Ate Aira was very friendly and easy to talk to. The kubo was very clean and it looks new. They provide a first aid kit! :) The place is not crowded and quiet. It is close to the beach!

The secret eventually got out and is starting to be known as a low-key tourist spot frequented by city dwellers looking to get away for a bit. You can expect the vibe to be very relaxed. A great spot to unwind after a long trip or a hectic week in the city, our #AgtaNest is cozy and clean, with many nooks. The neighbours are retirees and our old building is quiet at night. It is a 20sqm 3RD FLOOR UNIT in the rainforest 20 mins drive from Subic Bay CBD. 5 mins to Subic airport, JEST, waterfalls and beaches. 10 mins to Treetop Adventure. Ideal for couples, adventurers, triathletes, or business travellers looking for a quiet weekend, or a workspace with a view. @thenestbythesea
We designed this space to be a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are several nooks to lie back and relax - read a book, write a novel, or conquer the world from your laptop. We're on the 3rd floor of an old, run down building with no elevator. The parking lot is located right next to the building. Shaded parking areas can be found a little further away. Walking to the apartment, you will be rewarded with a partial view of the nearby Triboa Bay. Once you get to the unit, you'll find that our unit's view is mostly blocked by the rainforest. Our Agta Nest is a loft unit, and is half the size of our Ocean and Forest Nests which are located on the same floor. The door leads to the building's main hallway, and one wall has jalousied windows looking out to the hallway, the forest, and the bay beyond. The room is equipped with an AC unit and a ceiling fan. In the main room is the Dining, Living, and Kitchen area where the Bathroom, TV, and hammock are located. In the loft is a queen sized bed good for 2 persons. The Bathroom has a half tub with hot and cold water. There's a curtain to keep the water from dripping onto the floor while showering. The sink is located in the kitchenette area. The Kitchenette is small but functional. There's cold drinking water in the fridge for our guests. Subic Water is potable, and we also have a chlorine filter installed under the sink for the drinking water. There's an electric stove for cooking, and a couple of pots and pans. There is a toaster in the cabinet closest to the bathroom door.
Cubi is one of the residential hills in Subic Bay. It's overlooking the water and it's a nice place to walk around to watch the sun set on The Bay. There are a couple of convenience stores nearby where you can get simple meals and basic necessities. For other needs, there are a few groceries and markets in Subic Bay CBD (Central Business District), about 15 minutes drive from the Agta Nest. Cubi is also a great place to watch for birds, bats, monkeys and other wildlife. Bat Kingdom is just a 5-minute walk down the road from our Agta Nest. It's best to go just before sunset to watch the bats from the roadside. Bring a hat to protect your head from bat droppings! For the adventure seekers, there is a nearby waterfall that is about 20 mins hike from the apartment (go to JEST camp for a guide to Boton falls, or book an AirBNB experience with us). You can explore Cubi on our bamboo bicycles for a rental fee of P500/bike/day. We have 2 bikes available. There are several beaches nearby. Our favourite cheap beach just a short drive (20 minutes) from the Agta Nest is Sweet Water beach. It's a great place to watch the sunset or go for a swim. Camayan (15 minutes drive) is a nice beach with a restaurant, but the entrance fees are a little pricey. Acea Resort is just down the road (15 minutes walk or 2 min drive) and they have day packages which you can avail of. For scuba diving, Subic Bay has some nice wrecks. Summer is the best time to go when the water is clearer. Let us know if you need help finding a dive shop and we'll set you up. Advanced divers only. We highly recommend a speedboat day trip to the nearby coves. The dock is just 10 minutes from the house and it's the quickest way to go see the nearby beaches. More info in our guide book, which you can access once your booking is complete. :) For snorkelling and Island hopping, we recommend Zambales. Just an hour drive away, a good day trip is island hopping to Capones Island Lighthouse with a stop over at Camara Island for some snorkelling and lunch on the beach. The jump off point is Pundakit in San Antonio, Zambales. Let us know, and we'll connect you with our friends who have a boat there. Pundakit is also a great place to find surf from June-February.
  • This is the place where you want to keep coming back. The place is very cozy and relaxing, hosts are as welcoming and accomodating as well. Thanks again for letting us stay at The Nest, a haven we can definitely feel at home.

    Jared2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • One of the most well-designed spaces I've ever stayed in. It's a small space, but each area (bedroom, kitchen, counter, hammock area, bathroom, small dining area) is a well constructed scene. Totally recommend to rent the bamboo bike. Biking around Cubi and further down by the bay is amazing.

  • I loved everything about this place. Location is perfect for those looking for a peaceful getaway, the building is within a forested area. The loft looks even better in person with all its artistic touches, and has Netflix too! You can walk or jog around the area, or go for a swim in the community pool. They also have bamboo bikes that you can rent. Looking forward to staying here when we visit Subic again. Thank you to the hosts for an awesome experience. Highly recommended!

A great spot to unwind with your fur babies, our #EiwaNest is airy and clean. Our home is quiet at night. Eiwa Nest is a 50sqm first floor apartment in the hills 10 mins drive from Subic Bay CBD. 5 mins to Royal Duty Free, 15 mins to Subic airport, JEST, waterfalls and beaches. 30 mins to Treetop Adventure. Ideal for pet lovers, couples, adventurers, triathletes, business travellers. Soak in the tub, Netflix and Chill, cook up a feast, hang on the hammock all day long. @thenestbythesea
We designed this space to be a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are several nooks to lie back and relax - read a book, write a novel, or conquer the world from your laptop. We're on the 1st floor of a newly renovated old house in Kalayaan village. Street parking is available. From the car, you'll walk down the hill to the garage entrance. Our Eiwa Nest is a 1 bedroom unit. Upon entering the unit, you will find yourself in the kitchen area, which is connected to the dining area - where the TV is located. The kitchen side is equipped with ceiling fan. Careful, it's quite low! The air-conditioned bedroom is separated from the living room by a sliding door. Curtains can be closed for privacy. A ceiling fan is also available on the bedroom side for those who like fresh air. The Bathroom is small, but two good friends can use it at the same time, as there is a transparent glass partition that separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. The Kitchenette is small but functional. There's an electric stove for cooking, and a couple of pots and pans. There is a toaster and other electric appliances in the cabinet. There's a kettle and French press for your morning coffee. Subic Water is potable, and we also have a chlorine filter installed in the sink for drinking water - that's the tap on the left side. Our soaps are all eco friendly. Our counter is made of wood so it's best to keep it dry at all times. :) The refrigerator contains cold water, calamansi juice, butter, bread, and eggs for breakfast.
Kalayaan is one of the residential hills in Subic Bay. The housing area was built for the American Navymen who were stationed here in the 70s, and you can see from the houses that it still somehow looks like it did back then. There is a convenience store down the hill where you can get basic necessities. For other needs, there are a few groceries and markets in Subic Bay CBD (Central Business District), about 5 minutes drive from the Boho Nest. Kalayaan is a great place to watch for birds, monkeys, and other wildlife. There are several beaches nearby. Our favourite cheap beach just a short drive (30 minutes) from the Eiwa Nest is Sweet Water beach. It's a great place to watch the sunset or go for a swim. Camayan (20 minutes drive) is a nice beach with a restaurant, but the entrance fees are a little pricey. Acea Resort is just down the road from the airport ( 15 minutes drive) and they have day packages which you can avail of. For scuba diving, Subic Bay has some nice wrecks. Summer is the best time to go when the water is clearer. Let us know if you need help finding a dive shop and we'll point you in the right direction. Advanced divers only. We highly recommend a speedboat day trip to the nearby coves. The dock is just 10 minutes from the house and it's the quickest way to go see the nearby beaches. More info in our guide book :) For snorkelling and Island hopping, we recommend Zambales. Just an hour drive away, a good day trip is island hopping to Capones Island Lighthouse with a stop over at Camara Island for some snorkelling and lunch on the beach. The jump off point is Pundakit in San Antonio, Zambales. Let us know, and we'll set you up with a boat. Pundakit is also a great place to find surf from June-February.
  • Great stay for our family of 4. My husband and I travelled with our toddler and infant and the apartment was very comfortable stocked with all the necessities we needed. The outdoor space was great for my toddler and infant—we all know how much they need their space. I loved the green initiatives and effort Tamara put into the place like the compost. The food they provided was more than enough and delicious. Everything was well maintained and clean. I’d definitely stay here again and have recommended it to my friends.

  • Great for furparents! Loved the guest book recommendation where we could take our little doggo out nearby. Also, the listing is in a quiet subdivision/village/suburb, good spot for early morning walks surrounded by the forrest with our small dog. Make sure to bring your leash as some homes have their doggos and cattos, too!

  • The place is very clean! Easy to locate! Exterior looks old, but once you get inside, interior's very vintagey and clean, also liked the industrial design touch inside the room! Perfect staycation place! The helper was also very nice! Had a little chitchat the mother, also very nice! Met some of the dogs, too!

  • The neighborhood is so quiet and peaceful. The modern earthy design adds to the feeling of serenity inside the room. The view of the garden/tub area is so relaxing and you’ll definitely enjoy the private tub. The unit is clean and the host/staff is so accomodating. We also loved the complimentary snacks they provided.

  • Great and Amazing experience. Everything you need for a perfect stay short or longterm. Norman' s place is magical. A slice of paradise. I highly recommend this place.

    Amnehc2020-02-26T00:00:00Z
  • Probably one of the best bookings I made! The place is well kept and clean in all areas, and the kitchen has everything you need for cooking. The location is at the end of the river which is perfect for me as it is far enough from the crowd but is close enough if you are in the mood to have a quick beach trip. Communication was very smooth from booking up to checking-out. The caretakers are also really nice and very welcoming. Be sure to get food to cook and everything you need when you're in San Antonio, so you won't need to cross the river once in a while.

  • Epitome of a Hidden Gem. And i’m not just talking about the place. From the place itself, to the host and caretaker, without a shadow of a doubt 5-star. Place alone was insanely beautiful. Amenities far exceeded our expectation. The kitchen was great and the dining table was huge could fit maybe 10 persons. I was not expecting a bath tub but there it was to my surprise and my daughter’s delight. The small hut was and hammock was perfect for chillin’. Mr. Norman was always reminding about certain things and kept frequent communication with us. We forgot something and they will send it to us by courier (Super thanks!). Mr. Carlo, thank you very much for your taking care of us during our stay. Crossing the river, giving us tips about the place, especially for assisting us cross the river at 2:30AM. Because of that we beat Metro Manila traffic. Place, Amenities, great host and caretaker, simply 5-star.

  • The place was beautiful and quiet which is perfect if you just want to escape from the busy city and watch the sunset on the beach. Alma who accomodated us was very hospitable and attented to our requests. The area is easy accessed by car and has a parking in the premises. The closest restaurant was around 5 mins drive so you may consider bringing your own food and cook in their common kitchen.

  • Roy’s place is so much better than expected. The beach is so serene and the place itself is so quite. They only have 4 rooms and we reserved the Garden view. While we were waiting for our check in time, we stroll along the beach and found the beach room empty. Requested to be transferred to the empty room and since no one has booked the room, we were able to transfer successfully by adding additional fee since the beach room is a bit higher than the garden ones. Our stay is very comfortable and so homey. Surely a great place away from home. The staff and caretakers are so nice and accommodating. Bug thumbs up! And oh, they even have a cooking area where you can borrow cooking tools. It was a very unforgettable place! Will come back for sure!!! Very much recommended 😊♥️

  • The place is really nice. Spacious rooms and clean bathrooms. They have a dining area in the balcony and also they have kubos where you can eat that are overlooking by the beach. Reallly great location and perfect for small groups/families or even couples to stay in. And the place can be easily search on Waze. You can order food from them, and they have menus of the well-known restaurants in the area which they can have trikes to pick up the food with a minimal fee. Their in-house all day breakfast is really good too so i opted to just order from them instead of buying or eating outside.

    Richard2020-02-05T00:00:00Z

The Fishers (The Fishers Liwa) is seated at the center of the chill and laid back surf spot in the town of San Felipe Zambales. The owners, Kay and Carlo, run the business to share their love of nature and inspire guests to embrace simple living, sustainable and responsible tourism.
Our A-frames are designed to be a combination of glamping with a touch of our Filipino roots. There is still so much to complete so there will be times we'll have workers during the day to further our planned improvements.
We love living here because of the friendliness of the locals is outstanding! The warmth and the love that nature gives is just so fulfilling. That's why we are hoping that our guests will also respect our place and leave it a little better than they found it.

A great spot to unwind with your fur babies, our #GardenNest is cozy and clean, with many nooks. The neighbours are dog lovers and our home is quiet at night. It is a 30sqm first floor unit in the rainforest 20 mins drive from Subic Bay CBD. 5 mins to Subic airport, JEST, waterfalls and beaches. 10 mins to Treetop Adventure. Ideal for pet lovers, couples, adventurers, triathletes, business travellers. Soak in the tub, Netflix and Chill, hang on the hammock all day long. @thenestbythesea
We designed this space to be a retreat from the hustle and bustle of the city. There are several nooks to lie back and relax - read a book, write a novel, or conquer the world from your laptop. We're on the 1st floor of an old stilt house along the main road in Lower Cubi. The driveway fits 2 guest cars. From the car, you'll enter the side garden, which is fenced with bamboo. The porch is curtained off for additional privacy. The Garden Nest is a studio unit. Upon entering the unit, you will find yourself in the bedroom, which is connected to the dining area and tiny kitchen by a wide hallway - where the sofa bed is located. The unit is equipped with an air-conditioner and a ceiling fan. The Bathroom is small, but two good friends can use it at the same time, as there is a transparent glass partition that separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. The Kitchenette is small but functional. There's an electric stove for cooking, and a couple of pots and pans. There is a toaster in the cabinet closest to the bathroom door. There's a kettle and French press for your morning coffee. Subic Water is potable, and we also have a chlorine filter installed in the sink for drinking water - that's the tap on the right side. The kitchen sink is an antique lavatory we recovered from the backyard. It is small, and takes some getting used to. The sink drains into our garden beds out back, so we ask our guests not to pour anything toxic in there. Our soaps are all eco friendly. :) The refrigerator can be found in the bedroom side, near the main entrance. It contains cold water, calamansi juice, butter, bread, and eggs for breakfast.
Cubi is one of the residential hills in Subic Bay. It's overlooking the water and it's a nice place to walk around to watch the sun set on The Bay. There are a couple of convenience stores nearby where you can get simple meals and basic necessities. For other needs, there are a few groceries and markets in Subic Bay CBD (Central Business District), about 15 minutes drive from our Garden Nest. Cubi is also a great place to watch for birds, bats, monkeys and other wildlife. Bat Kingdom is just a 2-minute walk down the road from our Garden Nest. Our favourite cheap beach just a short drive (20 minutes) from the Garden Nest is Sweet Water beach. It's a great place to watch the sunset or go for a swim. Camayan (15 minutes drive) is a nice beach with a restaurant, but the entrance fees are a little pricey. Acea Resort is just down the road (10 minutes walk or 1 min drive) and they have day packages which you can avail of. For scuba diving, Subic Bay has some nice wrecks. Let us know if you need help finding a dive shop and we'll point you in the right direction. Advanced divers only. We highly recommend a speedboat day trip to the nearby coves. The dock is just 10 minutes from the house and it's the quickest way to go see the nearby beaches. More info in our guide book on the AirBNB app :) For snorkelling and Island hopping, we recommend Zambales.
  • great place! like a peaceful retreat house with netflix!

Our Umi Nest is a 1 bedroom unit. Upon entering the unit, you will find yourself in the kitchen area, which is connected to the dining area - where the TV is located. The kitchen side is equipped with ceiling fan. The air-conditioned bedroom is separated from the living room by a sliding door. Curtains can be closed for privacy. A ceiling fan is also available on the bedroom side for those who like fresh air. The Bathroom is spacious, and two good friends can use it at the same time, as there is a transparent glass partition that separates the shower area from the rest of the bathroom. The jump off point is Pundakit in San Antonio, Zambales. Let us know, and we'll set you up with a boat. Pundakit is also a great place to find surf from June-February.
  • Love the vibe and atmosphere of the place, it was indeed a beautiful nest! An eco-home with convenience right under your fingertips (tub and hammock on the patio$ with an option of ordering in your meals, you don’t even need to leave the cozy apartment (and you wouldn’t want to anyway). A little issue with hot water in the shower and outdoor tub is to be expected (also stated in the little handbook you get to read once you check in) but everything else you need is there. Great place to escape the city!

  • We really enjoyed our overnight stay. So much that we didn't want to leave. It's a perfect getaway for couples who like staying in but also wants a change of scenery. The place is so cozy and homey. I love it.

  • Description is Accurate! Loved the place. Water heater is not limited to the bathroom. Shala! There is a convenience store near the place which is a plus. Kitchen is functional; we got to prepare our own dinner with ease. Planning to try the other nests soon. Hehe.

  • The house is as beautiful and cozy as in the photos. We really enjoyed our stay especially my daughter who loved the tub and lying in the hammock. It's still pretty new so there are still a little bit of construction happening at the back but I can imagine how the view would get better once they're done.
