Lovely garden and house in a beautiful village.

The fire was lit when we arrived, Frances and her husband were very welcoming, helped us get our car into the slightly tricky drive and even gave us some food when we realised there was no where in town open after 8pm. They went out of there way to help us and make sure we were taken care of!

Three days spent in the house frances. the rooms are perfect, only the living room is a little small, especially on rainy days, and somewhat lacking in storage. otherwise everything is very clean, well arranged and frances is a pleasant and available host knowing remained discreet.

A delightfully rustic stone cottage, just as the photos show and within walking distance of the town, yet out in the countryside. Care needed using the steep and narrow staircase. The whole place was very comfortable with a cosy wood burning stove and a kitchen full of cooking utensils. Frances and Graham were welcoming and enjoyed a daily chat. We left with bags of their walnuts and chestnuts. Thank you.

Fran and Graham are absolutely wonderful hosts. Their home is one of the best airbnb experiences we have had. We couldn't recommend them highly enough, we will be staying with them again.

We were very well received by Frances and Graham; The cottage is adorable, it was cool which was very nice by this heat, the rooms are very nicely decorated and comfortable. We were able to enjoy the garden, listen to the birds, stroll to the river, and fall asleep listening to the owl-eagle owl. We will come back!

We had a great stay, the house is in a superbly tranquil location, with a beautiful outlook. The rooms are spacious, well appointed, and very clean and tidy. The breakfasts were also excellent. I would certainly recommend this accommodation. It's not the easiest place to find, but is well worth the effort!

This stay was great. Gaëlle and Marc are humanely rewarding people, beautiful people whom we enjoy meeting, more than attentive to their guests. It is a real haven, with really great rooms and a fantastic view. We could not describe all the things we liked during our short stay, it just boiled down to the fact that we did not want to leave and stay again and again. Even if Gabriel did not manage to have pike at Lac de Vassivière (which is about 15km) we will return for the revenge. Thank you again, and see you soon!

Although we have not had the opportunity this time to meet, Paul and his companion have absolutely everything for our comfort in their studio. This one is perfect a young couple out and about in the area. The village is very quiet, it seems to look back several centuries back is superb. I recommend !

Paul was the most accommodating host, from the minute I arrived to the moment I left I felt looked after. The studio is great for one or two people, it is small cosy and has everything you could possibly need. It was very clean and in a great location to explore Eymoutiers. Highly recommend!

Warm welcome. Our hosts gave us the evening (they had offered us to eat with them at a very affordable price) and we really felt like home (tu and discussions fighting broken). Our short stop at jocelyne was great. A very warm welcome, super nice people, and helpful, with who has discussed at length. They are nice people, and the room is fine. The title "like home" is well chosen because it was really the case, it felt like home. Very good experience, if we go back in the area we will stop again with pleasure in Jocelyne and her husband. The evening meal was delicious, and the breakfast more than divine.

It was a wonderful stay at Jocelyne and Patrice! We were very welcomed with a homemade tart on arrival. The room was in keeping with the description, clean, secluded, quiet ... The breakfasts were tasty and plentiful (+++), we were more than spoiled! Jocelyne was able to adapt to our program, and we were treated to a dream breakfast with homemade rice pudding and tea before our race ... We also shared a dinner at their table (for a modest price), again a delight! Perfect stay in short, Jocelyne and Patrice are hosts who know how to accommodate, smiling, friendly, lively, who have lots of interesting stories ... there is absolutely nothing to complain about. Jocelyne and Patrice are simply people who "know" receive. we felt arriving at old friends. "like at home" ? yes, certainly .. Jocelyne has even let us share their table ... Ha! I forgot to ask Patrice what "pelaudine" I will say no more ... about Patrice former bakery / patisserie / chocolatier, we had croissant and hot homemade bread in the morning. .. who says better?? each in its field, two unforgettable vacations in Jocelyne and to Miriam, another host ... thank you again ...

Magic

Faux la Montagne! Deep amidst the trees in the rolling hills of Limousin. Almost equidistant between Limoges & Clermont Ferrand. Beautiful country. Chris & Brian's property straddles a lovely brook. Their house one side, a barn & some other outbuildings the other, & the River cottage sitting on a little island mid-stream. The cottage is beautifully appointed & spotlessly clean. Kitchen provided everything required to eat-in. There is no stove, rather a bench-top unit with 2 hot plates above, & under, a griller (broiler if you hail from that odd country owned by the Trump family). It also doubles as a small oven - we cooked a little roast & vegies without any stress. Lounge is very comfortable & offers TV with a range of channels in English. Bedroom is upstairs & bed suitably comfortable. Leave the window above the bed-head ajar, after you've retired to bed & wander off to sleep lulled by the gurgling of the stream as it flows around the little island. Best bit though, isn't the cottage at all. It would have to be your hosts: Chris & Brian. Warm & friendly doesn't really do them justice. Somehow they have the ability to make you feel instantly at home, as does Amber their beautiful dog. The little dell is also populated by two peacocks, & a seemingly endless procession of chickens, ducks & geese. On arrival we were gifted some of the eggs. As free range as could be possible. So much better than store-bought, & just another indicator of the loveliness of your hosts. We are determined to return. We had four nights in the River Cottage, next time we'd be thinking maybe a fortnight.

Lovely stay at Gorgeous Townhouse Number Six. We find a very welcoming house true to the description and even more spacious than we thought. It is ideally located in the center of the pretty village of Eymoutiers. We were sensitive to many attentions as the Christmas tree and the charm of the house

Staying at Nicki and Clive's house in Eymoutiers was a fantastic experience! From the outset they were in constant communication leading up to our arrival ensuring we had everything we needed, plus a great insight to what the town and region has to offer. The house itself is just amazing - spacious, full of amenities, a great and central location and spotlessly clean. The house is within 5 minutes walk to markets, bakeries, the train station, and so on. The four floors are filled with exquisite decor and fine attention to detail. - a lot of consideration for guests is evident in everything in the house. The kitchen is well stocked and great to cook in.....we even had a bottle of wine and loaf of bread awaiting us. Everything worked well, wifi was efficient and fast, beds were comfortable...everything was at or above what we could have wished for. Thanks Nicki and Clive for your perfect hosting....we recommend your house to anyone wanting a great stay in the region.

Beautiful period home. Very well located in the heart of the village next to the shops. Ideal for exploring the village and walking in the evening. House very clean, well equipped House with 3 floors, therefore not suitable for the smallest and the elderly. But that is what makes it its stamp. Bath in the room: nickel !!! I really recommend! To do also with the children the Geocaching terra nova !! Great !!!

After a long mornings travel to France it was just the welcome we needed when we came into the house. The heating was on and everything was just how it looked in the pictures. The stairs are quite narrow so be careful if you have children. The location is perfect, just around the corner were shops to buy the basics and there was a local market on the Saturday which was great to pick up a fresh loaf of bread. Very peaceful place to stay, would definitely come back. Thanks Nicki.

Our stay with Nicki was a dream, the house was as good as its pictures, it was extremely comfortable and thank you Nicki for your bottle of wine. Nicki's home was fully equipped for a comfortable holiday, lovely table to eat in the kitchen and the sitting room was splendid, lots of books and DVD's, the beds were very comfortable and Eymoutier was such a lovely village, people were very friendly, we found a lovely little bar, met some other English people, the owner was also great.

Très bon accueil et bons conseils, espace privatif très agréable avec bureau, salle de bain, toilettes et grande chambre. Nous avons pu utiliser la cuisine pour dîner lors de l'absence des hôtes.

La chambre correspond bien à l'annonce. Lit fait à l'arrivée et petit déjeuner. Accueil sympathique de la part d'Antonia. Cependant par rapport à l'implantation du village, je trouve que le prix de la chambre est un peu élevé.

On est très bien reçu, en toute simplicité, bon accueil, conseils de visites et balades par des gens qui adorent leur village et la région et qui les font partager. La maison est très sympa, on loge à l'étage dans un petit duplex et on partage une grande cuisine -salle à manger qui donne sur un petit jardin très agréable. On recommande, sans problème.

Cottage 2 min Eymoutiers in the heart of the countryside and its charms. Many walks around. Helen was very approachable and very welcoming when we arrived.

La ferme à cinq minutes de la ville, c'est top ! Juste un petit caveat : attention de garder les fenêtres fermées sinon les mouches venant de la ferme risquent d'envahir l'appart.

Super séjour en pleine campagne, dans une petite ferme avec Chevaux, poules, chèvre, miel fait maison... Petite pelouse au pied de l'appartement ou nous avons pu faire des barbecues, tous autour de la table. En 2 minutes en voiture vous êtes a Eymoutiers une petite ville avec de nombreux commerces et un supermarché Casino. Idéal pour quelques jours de repos avec les enfants...

The room that Paul and his companion propose is quite charming, clean. It feels good. Also, we were greeted very warmly. The breakfast is plentiful and delicious.

Friendly welcome and pleasant place

I arrived at 9pm, having been sent directions by Paul on how to find the lodgings! I was very well received by the very easy going hospitable hosts. The house is a gorgeous townhouse and the room was very nice and clean with its own ensuite bathroom. I had a good nights sleep and had a good continental breakfasts with the hosts in the morning! I wouldnt hesitate to book it again!
