With Covid-19 we would prefer not to have lots of short stays so we have set the minimum stay to 21 days. Ideally we would like it to be used by NHS workers or carers and would give a much reduced rate. Make an enquiry if you’re interested, thanks. This apartment is in the village of Richhill which has good public transport links, and is about 45 mins from the airport. It's a private apartment with a living room, bedroom, kitchen and bathroom.
  • Stayed here for 4 nights while visiting family. Really nice apartment, everything was clean. Location was great, was really quiet and only a 2 minute walk from the Main Street. William provided a map of the area and takeaway menu’s in the drawers which we thought was a nice touch. 10/10, would stay here again !

    Tom2019-11-14T00:00:00Z
  • Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Very easy and straightforward host. Good base to visit nearby Armagh, Portadown and Craigavon. It was freezing cold outside when we arrived, but lovely and warm inside, which we really appreciated. Modern and spotlessly clean. It was great to find a microwave in the kitchen. Will definitely return in the future.

    Ruth2019-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay, it was clean and matched the pictures and description. William was a great host offering local tips if needed. Would highly recommend staying here.

  • This is a super gem of a place to stay. Was a perfect base for my daughter and I while we spent 3 days exploring Armagh, Newry and Belfast. Amazing value for money and immaculately clean. We were both really comfortable there and loved the spacious and homely accommodation. The under floor heating was a bonus! Thank you very much for a great stay!!

Acton Village is a beautifully quiet place. 10 min's to Banbridge /Newry. Banbridge has loads of restaurants/bars, as for shops there's the Outlet which has such stores as Nike. Newry is a busy town, with 2 shopping centers, and bars/restaurants, with culinary styles and budget to suit everyone. Belfast is 30min and includes attractions such as the Titanic Quarter and the famous Crumlin Rd Gaol. children under 12 are free, do not list children as guests, please message confirming the total
The cottage has a generous kitchen and dining room. 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. it has been extended to the back which has doubled the size of the living space. The property has oak flooring throughout and really gives the feel of a country cottage, the house has a history that dares back to the 18th Century The living room is perfect for sitting with friends and has ample space to enjoy, or just relax with a book and enjoy the unspoiled view of the lake and surrounding countryside. There is parking for 2 cars off street. There is a gorgeous suntrap to the back of the house which is ideal for enjoying BBQ. Or relaxing when the sun is shining. We have superfast WiFi for those who need it, and a superb satellite TV package if you feel like taking in a movie. The entire home has just been through a refurbishment, including new bed linen and Towels to ensure our guests have a pleasant stay.
The Village of Acton is very quiet. The nearest pub and shops are 1 mile away. If you enjoy country walks to practice mindfulness this is the place to be. Public transportation to Acton is very limited, however frequent buses to Poyntzpass from Newry and Craigavon are available. Taxis are available in the area if required.

  • Fantastic home, we absolutely loved our stay here over Christmas and new year as we had so much room and had everything we needed. Very comfy and a place to really feel relaxed. The kids were entertained with the PlayStation and access to Netflix. The all important wifi connection was great and there are lovely walks nearby. Stella was very accommodating, helping us out with a DVD player and putting up Xmas tree. The washing machine was very useful for our family having a young baby with us and despite the house being so large we were able to keep it warm in some very cold weather. Would highly recommend.

An unique house in the stable yard of Gosford Castle which featured in the TV programme Game of Thrones. The Castle is in the grounds of the 500 acre Gosford Park with great walking and bicycling trails and a children's play park. The home has 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms an open plan lounge with sofas and a fully equipped kitchen. Markethill with its supermarket, department store, bakery and range of shops is a short drive away or a 20 minute walk through the woods. Armagh City is a 15 min drive.
The Castle is a 1 hour drive from Belfast International Airport and from Belfast City. It is 1 hour and 15 minutes drive from Dublin Port and Dublin airport. 25 minute to the Mourne Mountains.
All the facilities of Gosford Park are on your doorstep. Superb Walking in the woods which are well managed. Good bicycling trails
  • Such a beautiful spot, exceeded my expectations. Everything was high spec and spotlessly clean. We got left welcome treats and enough to get us by until we made it to the shop the next day. The restoration of the castle in this way (of private residences) is so unique and extremely well done. The grounds are beautiful with lots of great trails for walking and biking. Playground about a 10min walk with a coffee van right next to it. Looked like horse riding is an option also. We will most definitely be returning again and again

    Kate2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a real hidden gem, far above our expectations. Located in private castle in middle of forest. Great for kids, play park within walking distant, Armagh Planetarium and Navan Fort within driving distant. The accommodation was pristine clean, very warm and quiet. It was very modern (underfloor heating, good speed WiFi, beam hoovering system etc) given it's in such an old setting. Geraldine gave me very prompt and comprehensive responses in all communication. I'd highly recommend staying here.

    Peter2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • It is a wonderful apartment! The furnishings were lovely and modern. Geraldine provided very detailed information for location and entry. A beautiful location.

    Margaret Mary2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking to get away from it all, this place is secluded and quiet with beautiful grounds - but still perfectly located for exploring by car. If you want an epic stay, what could be more epic than a castle? Beautiful inside and out, a cosy, homely atmosphere with everything you could want. Geraldine took great care of me too, despite not being there. Can’t wait to come back!

    Nick2019-11-30T00:00:00Z
  • Unbelievable value for an exceptional Airbnb experience. Such a beautiful home within a famous Irish castle in a relaxing and very peaceful forest environment, while still being close enough to the picturesque village of Markethill that walking there is an option. Really enjoyed this place and would definitely stay again. A very comfortable home in a unique setting. Also great attention and care received from Geraldine.

    Leigh2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • Geraldine's property is fantastic. It has everything you need. The park is perfect for a run or bike ride. It is in a perfect location to get to all the major sites in Northern Ireland.

    Rebecca2019-11-15T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely house in an amazing forest setting with great trails and playground. Only regret not bringing the bikes!

    Jude2019-11-01T00:00:00Z

    Naomi2019-11-21T00:00:00Z
  • I had a fantastic stay at Joe's place. Joe, and Kathleen who lives in the house, were both very hospitable and helpful in every way. The room was tidy with a fine sunrise view of the nearby hills, and Kathleen served a homemade breakfast every morning. The house is just a 10 min walk to the center of Armagh, and both hosts provided generous amounts of tips about the city and its surroundings. I can't recommend Joe's place enough, and I look forward to when I get to return!

A really big bathroom with a shower and Jacuzzi and a room for pool. Thank you Martin for everything. Super clean and a very accommodating owner, who really put herself out to allow my daughter to enter the apartment early because it was free and saved her having to hang around for hours. A really clean and spacious apartment that you just know has been given a great deal of thought. Very good value as well - an even bigger bonus! Would definitely use again. Thanks Leonne!

  • We stayed as a last minute booking, but were very impressed. We basically arrived, got take-away, and crashed. BUT, what a cute spot. It’s 2 levels of modern living. Kitchen/living room was big enough for all six of us to have supper and relax. The beds were comfy, and it was easy to access the few amenities that we needed. Thanks!

  • Great little place. Very tranquil. Lots of nice walks through farm land. Lots of activities to do. Bed very comfortable and all the cooking equipment you need. Lots of little extras like milk and eggs. Kettle was boiling on the stove as we arrived.

  • Cannot praise trevors little meadow gem enough! He’s done some really great work since I last visited too! No more mud even in the heights of winter! Massive 5* and will be back again

  • We had an amazing time at Trevor's place, the hut he created is very comfortable, cozy and warm with the fireplace. There is also a firepit outside to sit and relax looking at the stars. He also provided with some milk, bread and huge free rang eggs that were delish. We stayed there for 2 nights and we didn't want to leave. Looking forward to going back. This was our favourite Airbnb experience. Thank you so much Trevor for this beautiful place and all the good memories we have from there. All the best and see you soon :)

    Fer2019-12-12T00:00:00Z
  • It was an absolute pleasure to stay here. We were greeted on arrival with our stove lit and a welcoming Trevor who even offered to pick us up from the bus station. Just remember to pack food for the trip and your sure to enjoy! The spot would be perfect for star gazing, bird watching, or just to get away like we did, many thanks for having us!

    Julie2019-11-28T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful in all ways. Trevor was such a gem and made sure we had everything we needed. 11/10 will be back!

    Jon2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • You MUST stay here! It had been raining for days before our arrival, and was still the best night we spent on our two week trip to Ireland. A tree lovers paradise, the lovely Trevor has planted hundreds of trees for others to enjoy 70 years from now- amazing! The hut itself is warm, cozy and spotlessly clean. We spent the evening with the back of the trailer open, even in the pouring rain! The wee little wood stove keeps it perfect temp, the candles and solar lamps made the light romantic and dream like- and the highlight of the evening was the way the reflection of the fire through the slits of the stove made the light shine on the ceiling of the hut so rememesent of the northern lights that light up the sky! Beautiful, I'm serious, you wont regret for a second staying here in this truly magical place. Trevor himself is an utter delight, do yourself a favor and create amazing memories for yourself as we have!

She really cares for her guests at all time! The living room is a very cosy Irish style room, where it is always good reading a book. It is my second time there, for the William Kennedy piping festival, just 10 min away on foot. The location is very close to the bus station (5 min on foot). There are convenience stores nearby. Thanks Breige!

We offer both a delightful and personal alternative to your conventional hotel. It symbolizes serenity, comfort, intimacy and romance. It ideally means that you’re going to be provided with great amenities and awesome breakfast, all at a reasonable rate. A bed and breakfast’s owner may reside within the property, or offer the entire property to guests.
When it comes to bed and breakfast accommodation, location means everything. You certainly want a place that’s as close as possible to restaurants, supermarkets, shops, etc. This is to avoid taking long trips to buy something or even see sights. Travelling a long distance from the lodge to the nearest restaurant can be a downer, particularly if you are on vacation. So, when doing the hunting, ensure you pick an inn that is conveniently located.

Timber cabin situated in Co.Armagh in the heart of the countryside. Ideal for couples of single travellers who enjoy forest parks, fishing and a bit of a quiet retreat. Whether angling/golfing in Loughgall Park, Clay lake, River Blackwatertown it’s a perfect little hideaway, however public transport is limited and a vehicle would be required. The cabin is located close to Richhill village and about 3 miles from Armagh city. It’s cosy and compact and very peaceful. Idea for seeing the countryside
The bed can be made up into a superking or you can have it as 2 single beds.
Very much in the countryside, close to the village of Richhill and the city of Armagh and also Gosford Forest Park, loughgall Park and many fishing areas.
  • I wish it went higher than 5 stars. I can’t thank Ruth enough. I was having such a drastic time looking for somewhere to stay between house moves and I’m so glad I got in touch with Ruth. Not only is she super nice and empathic, but she went beyond to help me out. The cabin is just wonderful. I just needed a safe place to rest my head whilst all the stress of my life was happening, but the cabin offered me much more. It’s a gorgeous little space, with far more than a hotel would. And my dogs loved running about in the large yard. Tom, who lives in the house, is a really special guy. He opened it up and put the heating on ready for me, and was always there if I needed a chat or help finding somewhere to walk the dogs. You’re very much in your own space here, but never too far from anywhere. Gosford forest park is a real must too - I happily got lost every day for 2 weeks. I’m definitely going to pick this place again, even if it’s for a nice rest bite for an evening away. Couldn’t fault it. It’s cleaner than I keep my own house, warmer than I’d even need it to be, and the bed is delightfully comfortable. I’d also expect it to be lovely in the summer, especially if it’s BBQ weather. Cant thank Ruth and Tom enough.

  • If you want a quiet refuge for 2 people in the countryside of Northern Ireland (between the border and Belfast) it's the perfect place you want to go. Besides, the cottage cabin experience it's a bonus in my opinion. Definitely hope to repeat the stay one day

The 'Shepherd's Hut' is a special addition to our range of unique accommodation at Tepee Valley. It has been lovingly and authentically built by ourselves and designed with couples in mind.
Inside you will find a double bed with a proper deep mattress and a little single bed up above (sleeps 2 adults and 1 child). There is a hand -crafted wardrobe and dresser with shelving above for all the cups, plates, cutlery, saucepans and items to make your stay as comfortable as possible. This time we have provided a small, but brilliantly crafted, Windy Smithy stove with oven so that you can slow down and learn to really get back to basics by boiling the kettle for tea, cooking the shepherds pie for dinner or boiling the eggs for breakfast. There is no running water inside or sink so after you have fetched the water and lit the stove, you have time to admire the views over the valley. The bigger challenge will be to go 'off grid' altogether, switch off the phone and light the candles, read or relax. Outside, as you take in the view from the steps, there is a small seating area with table and chairs and a fire bowl to provide warmth late into the evenings. A charcoal BBQ is provided and some logs/lighters for the fire bowl to get you started. If you want to cook over the fire pit outside, there is a dutch oven, skillet and frying pan provided. We have provided a covered outdoor sink near by, a kitchen cabin with gas cooker and fridge and a shower and toilet a few metres across the site. Please remember to bring your wellies and torch for that night time trip across the site. You will need to bring your own bed linen (duvet, pillows), and some extra logs/firelighters and charcoal if you want to use the BBQ.
We are in the middle of farming countryside with views down to the Cusher River and across to Slieve Gullion in the distance. We are surrounded by farmland (cows, sheep and arable land) and have some small animals on site.

  • We needed a family base where we could have space for time with young family members. This house gave us that space. The three separate living spaces together with three double bedrooms was just what we needed. It was much closer to the city centre than we had realised which was a real bonus. Very quiet location and a great back garden for a kick around with a ball for visiting children. It was everything we needed it to be!

It is a very spacious property in an ideal location to visit several different towns and locations. Jim is a great host and the value for money on this property is amazing. I would definitely return to this property should I ever need to stay in the area again.

  • The house is spotless! It seems like it’s never been stayed in before but this was our second visit! Communication was seemless and they left milk and bottled water for us! We’ll be back!

  • Wow! Such a beautiful cosy and exceptionally clean cottage which is very close to armagh city centre and a great retail park just up the road topped off with brilliant hosts who where able to help right away if we needed anything. Hope to get the chance to stay again.

  • We stayed here so that we could visit family in the area. This is a beautiful, modern cottage finished to a high standard. The beds are very comfortable and kitchen well stocked. In a good location for ease of access to Armagh. Kevin was a great host. Many thanks 🙂

    Geraldine2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • This cottage is stunning. It was super clean, with nicely updated amenities: ie the bathrooms and the kitchen! Kevin was helpful and kind. He even gave us directions for food in town. Would certainly stay here again.

  • We decided to stay in Armagh while doing genealogy. We thought that we would get a practical place to sleep. On arrival, we were pleasantly surprosed that this Airbnb is more than just practical. It was extremely comfortable, close to many great locations in the north, and had all we could have wanted. We were very grateful to find some water and milk in the refrigerator. We had a small delay on arrival and it was so nice to have some items when we arrived. The house was very well built and lovely. The washer and dryer was a big plus. As for the area, Armagh is a fun town to explore with amazing history. If you want to explore the history of St Patrick, or the early Irish people, Armagh is a must see. We would stay here without hesitation again.

  • Spotless and convenient. Lovely view of the Cathedral from the back.

    Rachel2018-11-04T00:00:00Z
  • Mick and Briege are absolutely wonderful hosts! Their home is very close to the center of town and is incredibly convenient if you are travelling into town via public transportation, because it is less than a five minute walk to the bus station. There was an abundance of breakfast items left for us and they were always so friendly and helpful with whatever questions we had. It's a lovely home and makes you feel like you're staying with friends rather than in a nondescript hotel room. And, honestly, everyone in Armagh is just so nice and friendly that you do really feel that you are among friends when you are there. They do not offer wifi, but service is very spotty in Armagh in general, even for mobile service. However, there are several places within a very short walk where wifi is offered if you need it. I could not think of better hosts than Mick and Briege. Absolutely wonderful!

    Michelle2018-06-07T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely cosy stay at Briege and Michael's home in Armagh. We received a lovely warm welcome and the house had all the conveniences you would need to feel at home. A short walk to the Mall, yet nice and peaceful.

    Gary2018-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • The house is lovely! Location very handy to the bus station and centre of town. Hosts very friendly, helpful and generous. They left some goodies in the fridge and plenty of options for the Continental breakfast.

  • A very comfortable and stylish place to stay in a beautiful and quiet location. Ann is a very friendly, thoughtful host. It's lovely to arrive at the Coach House after the long journey from home and find it so warm and welcoming.

    Susanna2020-02-27T00:00:00Z
  • We have just returned from a lovely weekend in Ann’s beautiful home. So well equipped- everything is there you could possibly ever need. We had a delicious meal in the oven on our arrival. A very comfortable and cosy house close to lots of places to go and see. Highly recommended!

    Stephen2019-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • This has been one of my favourite Airbnb’s to date and for my family. From the moment we entered the coach house I just felt this place has something special to offer. It ticks all the boxes for me to feel that I can relax in comfort, happily cook with all the right facilities, chill out with my family in the beautiful lounge, read a book or play some board games on a rainy day and enjoy wonderful scenery from this homely space. Ann is without doubt a wonderful host on every level and the extra touches like a home cooked meal make your arrival all the more comfortable. Many many thanks to Ann and will look forward to our next visit.

    Fraser2019-11-09T00:00:00Z
  • This is by far the most superior BnB I’ve used on this site! The coach house is cosy and rustic and Ann literally could not have been more helpful! She made a lovely home cooked meal on the day we arrived and left lots of things around for our kids to do including games, books and clay! Looking for an excuse to return to Ann’s place!

    Julie2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • Our holiday at the Couch House was perfect. Ann left no stone unturned to ensure we had everything we needed. On the day of our arrival we were welcomed by a preheated , well lit house with classical music in the background and a complete meal in the kitchen. The house is beautifully situated on the top of a hill providing an amazing view either way you look. Cows and sheep were grazing on the neighbouring fields and the garden is well equipped with everything a child needs - trampoline, slide, swing and much more. The house had everything from a baby bed to bath toys. We found everything we needed and more. Ann even made sure our kids had children’s chairs and home made play dough. Like already mentioned our holidays were perfect thanks to our wonderful host, Ann.

  • A lovely tranquil picturesque setting for New Year’s Eve with my husband and our dog Bear. Jayne was a prompt, responsive host. A great stay overall

    Roisin2020-01-01T00:00:00Z
  • Great location, close to Armagh, in some beautiful woods. Really comfy bed, small kitchen, bath, wood burner (you might have to split some logs to make kindling!). Communication with hosts was spot on and they were really accommodating with our arrival time etc. Thanks Jayne! X

  • Enjoyed a lovely relaxing night away! Weather wasnt the nicest but it was toasty in the cottage. Arriving, we thought the main driveway and gold gates is very fancy! All the information we received was great, from getting there to the different walks. Seeing deer in the forest was amazing!

    Joanne2019-08-31T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning little cottage set on a country estate which makes you feel completely secluded. Stunning views and not another person in sight. Amazing for dogs but ONLY for those with great recall and low prey drive and livestock and wildlife abound! Would not let a dog off lead otherwise. Little fire in the sitting room was lovely and it is just a perfect place for a peaceful get away!

    Patara2019-08-13T00:00:00Z
  • lovely place to be. very quiet and private. once you have a car you are not too far away from town.

    Adrian2019-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is the best little surprise you could ever expect as the pictures don’t do this place justice. The experience from the moment you go through the gorgeous gates, to driving through the amazing grounds to your secluded little sanctuary in the forest is just breathtaking. The little cottage is like something out of a storybook! It is so cute, with just the right amount of space for us both and are 3 dogs. The outdoor space was just incredible the dogs loved the freedom and the walks were wonderful, which Jayne provided fantastic maps for us to follow. Jayne was an incredible host and there for anything you need. We’ll definitely be visiting again soon which I think speaks volumes. I really can’t explain how fantastic this little place is, you really need to see it for yourself!

    Lisa2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • Fab spot, will definitely stay again

    Angela2019-07-31T00:00:00Z
  • Well, to sum it up we were booked for 2 nights and ended up booking a 3rd extra night while there! Lovely wee cottage set in beautiful grounds. It was a proper wee get-away. The cottage has everything you need for a proper cabin-esque retreat; including a picnic table outside which we made good use of in the sun! And the evenings were extra cosy with the log burner, which our pup Kaya loved particularly. The bed was super comfy (as every one seems to be saying!) and the hot water is plentiful. Jayne was a great host and was super responsive and accommodating. Were sad to leave and shall definitely return.
