We had a great stay here! The place is beautiful and very close to a public beach on a beautiful sandy lake. We loved paddling there on their kayaks, and we enjoyed the nature and views in their backyard. We would definitely recommend the place to others!

We had a very positive experience here. The hosts are welcoming and the house is exactaly like you see in the pictures. The location is great for swimming and paddling in Sandy Lake. Also plenty of space in the backyard to sit down, relax and enjoy the view.

James and Tammy's place was very cute. You can watch the sun set right from the living room couch and on a clear night, the sky is filled with stars. There are hiking trails and a winery to explore nearby. James and Tammy are very friendly. Tammy greeted us with the most delicious butter tarts! We will definitely be back in the summer

We had the most perfect weekend at Tammy and James cottage ! Their place is so cosy, clean, nice and peaceful. It’s really calm but you are also close to shops and activities nearby. Tammy and James are the best hosts and we really recommend their place :)

It was a pleasure staying with James and Tammy. They had lots of time for us and were extremely friendly. Their place is in a peaceful location with a comfortable bed, making for a good nights sleep. We enjoyed the thoughtful touches like homemade cake. Everything smelt very nice in the home. We enjoyed the fire pit, barbeque and resident wildlife. The sky is incredibly clear for stargazing.

Drew's cottage is a fantastic place to unwind. It has everything you need. And it's in a great location! Drew is an extremely responsive host and provides tons of helpful tips for the area. Would highly recommend this to those staying in the area.

My husband and I rented Rock Cove Cottage for our honeymoon and couldn't have been any more impressed with everything. The cottage was sparkling clean as we arrived, brand new bedding, new small appliances and all the necessities you could think of! The cottage is stunning as it sits right on the water with large windows to view. It is decorated so homely and is very cozy. We are so happy with our decision to rent Rock Cove Cottage for our honeymoon, it was absolutely perfect. Drew was an incredible host with quick responses if we had any questions.

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving long weekend at Drew's place! His cottage was sparkly clean and had everything we need for a vacation plus some nice surprises. The beds were very comfortable and bedding was pretty much new. The cottage is located at the end of the road, and right beside the lake, it was unbelievably quiet! The view was marvelous, and one can enjoy everything right from inside because of the large windows. The cottage has so many openable windows, so it is well ventilated. His canoe, kayaks and paddle boat kept our kids busy and provided an opportunity to explore the surrounding water. It was also nice to set a campfire beside the lake, and enjoy the clear moon and its reflection in the lake! Drew was super responsive, and went the extra mile to make our stay memorable.

Highly recommended! Beautiful location, scenic views, cottage experience. I stayed for 2 nights at Lisa's and Sherri's and was warmly greeted and very comfortable in the private bedroom and bathroom. Driving distance to local parks of interest and cafes/restaurants. A great get away for this city-gal!

Warm and inviting stay with superb hosts who are very laid back and casual, making it easy to just drop your things and settle in. The Great room is a lovely private zone to decompress and I loved having a sweet little claw foot tub to bathe in - felt like a baby in a sink but kinda rocked it! Extremely clean and quiet getaway. Great value - good coffee too with a basic continental breakfast in a location on a beautiful country setting directly across the street from a gorgeous lake and very close to a beautiful beach. Will stay again!

This was the perfect getaway out of busy Toronto. Lovely cabin in nature hosted by the best hosts you could ever wish for. We had a cosy backyard fire and s'mores with them, family and other guests. The breakfast was real jummy with some homemade items and fresh fruits! Also, the use of the canoe and their help with that is very much appreciated. It is for these people that we love to use airbnb!

Lisa's home is comfortable and well equipped. The setting is perfect for a relaxing get away. Wish we had been able to spend more time there but we were in the area for a family reunion.

Lisa and Sherri are wonderful hosts who welcomed us into their home with open arms. The cottage is a nice, quiet and spacious property with two likewise friendly pets on-site. Out room was cozy, with its own private bathroom. It was nice to have a bath as an alternative to a shower for a change. Having breakfast included was also great to have in this stay. The home is situated very close to Sandy Beach, where we took our daughter. Buckhorn is also only a 7 minute drive away. The kayaks were also great to have - to explore Sandy Creek, Sandy Lake and nearby Lake Buckhorn for the more adventurous types. Thanks again.

Amazing location and a beautiful cottage!

Nice place to rest and have an "urban disconnect" ! I recommend that cabin. Was a real experience chopping the wood, cooking outside, walking around... If you need fresh air and cosy place, that's definitely where you should stay a few days... :) Hosts were great and attentive. Thanks again

My husband and I had a great weekend away in Noreens winter wonderland. The little cabin met all our needs, especially the added touch of the mattress heater for the times when the fire died down at night. The property is so peaceful and quiet, we were able to relax and spend quality time away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. The cabin is perfect for one or two and we enjoyed it the whole time. Noreen was very friendly and we would definitely return.

We had an absolutely wonderful and relaxing weekend at Noreen’s cabin. We loved stoking the fire, the tranquillity, and the local hikes. The cabin wasn’t as secluded as we had hoped, but still extremely private and picturesque. Noreen was an amazing host, we had everything we needed and wouldn’t hesitate to visit again. Make sure you check out the Kawartha Winery when you visit!

We had an incredible stay at Noreen's cabin! The location was stunning, and the cabin was cute, cozy, and incredibly special. We loved chopping wood to stoke the stove, and enjoyed the natural beauty of the location, including star gazing at night. Communication with Noreen was easy and quick, and our check in was great. She made sure to have the cabin warm and wonderfully inviting for our arrival. There is no running water in the winter, but this wasn't a problem as Noreen had set up a great wash basin system and a lavatory bucket for use during the cold nights. The out-house was also just a few steps away. Heat from the wood stove lasts approx 4 hours, so Noreen provided a space heater for use as required for the cold mornings while you work to relight the fire. This cabin was exactly as advertised and we enjoyed ourselves immensely. We will be back!

We had a great time at Noreen and Randy's! The cabin is so quaint and peaceful, right by a pond with a waterfall, and the autumn leaves were really really stunning. The outhouse was no problem for us since it wasn't too cold. The outdoor shower would be tricky if it were any colder out, unless you are very brave! The water was already pretty icy. The cabin is super cozy and it was easy to cook with the BBQ and stove. Highly recommend, especially in fall. Thank you!!

We spent an amazing three days in Bobcaygeon. Noreen was an amazing host. This is the perfect place for a relaxing weekend, with a pond for swimming, a waterfall to soothe, and all the supplies you could need.

Cailee's place was great! The check-in was simple, we reached very late at night but was very easy to find. The place was very clean and had nice touches, such as the board games, kayaks and we were pleasantly surprised with the wifi (although we were not expecting it). Cailee responded immediately to each question and was very helpful. The view from the dock was truly spectacular and our party of 7 was very sad to leave but happy we left with good memories. The colours of Autumn in were in full effect in Oct. and the fire pit kept us warm at night, truly a weekend to remember.

My family had such a fantastic weekend at Cailee's cottage. There were 6 of us and our yellow lab. There was plenty of room to accommodate us all! We really appreciated the two washrooms. My parents were able to sleep in the newer addition area and close the door in the hallway while the younger folks could stay up late and chat/play board games without disturbing them! We definitely took the two kayaks out for a quick paddle, which was fun. There was a lovely sunset and we took full advantage of the firepit to have a campfire with smores. We also loved the idea of painting a rock to leave as a memento of our stay. We each painted a rock under the gazebo tent on the deck, even though it was pouring rain for a little while! Cailee was always very quick to respond to my various messages and questions. Our bed was comfy and I know the rest of my family slept very well too. There is a cute fire stove that kept us nice and warm (we brought our own firewood but there were plenty of branches for kindling and wood to chop around the property.) Thank you for a great stay Cailee! I'd highly recommend this place for a larger family or group to have a nice cottage weekend :)

What a Gem! From the location to the 4 bedrooms to the fire pit to the extras included, the place was AMAZING! We had Cailee's Cottage for 2 nights with a large group greater than 6. Clean beds and bathrooms, great living space. Love the Patio with the Gazebo covering. Cailee had put extra wood for fires near the pit.. Smores nights were epic with the Stary night. There was coal provided for BBQs too. There were some treats for the kids and the rock painting kept my kids happy and busy. Books to read and Jenga games were provided too. All these things summed up to he one of the best experiences of a getaway! Definitely looking forward to future times. Thank you Cailee for being a great Host and sharing your cottage.

We had a wonderful stay at the cozy cottage! Loved having two bathrooms, great dock area, fire pit, and fun activities for all. Nice proximity to the town, which had everything you would need. Nice and close to the public beach as well for swimming. Loved the option to paint the rocks and leave a memory behind. Thank you to the hosts for providing a great location for our family vacation!

We had a great relaxing time at Cailee's place. The location, the cottage, the sunset!!!! My goodness. We had full access to Buckhorn lake. Kayaks on the property were put to use. We had enough life jackets to choose from as well. The whole lakefront setup I would say is unmatched. We had a beautiful sunset off the dock every night during our stay. The cottage itself was very clean and exactly as indicated in the name...COZY! The beds were very comfortable. We had sticks to roast marshmallows over the fire. The firepit is large and right by the waterfront. Cailee also provided firewood for our fires. The personalized painted rocks around the garden were a lovely little touch. The wifi is also working perfectly.

Randi's place is beautiful, has a very homey feel. Likely won't find a better spot at this time of year, the fall colours really make everything shine.

Very nice property to enjoy the outdoors. Beautiful deck to enjoy the view of the water and a fire pit to enjoy a bonfire. The cottage is very spacious and has all the comforts of home. Very clean and you can see she takes pride in her home. All our needs were met and she was welcoming and available for any questions at anytime. Our stay was wonderful.

This is our second time here. It’s been great both times. We love kayaking the beautiful lakes in the area. The cottage has been updated since last year with a fabulous, spacious deck. Randi is a great host and easy to deal with. Highly recommend!

We just got back from our week long stay at the R & R retreat with my in-laws, husband, dog and 9 month baby, and it was amazing! Very family friendly cottage. Randi is a very friendly, accommodating host. The cottage is very beautiful, newly renovated and modern, as well as equipped with everything you need (bedding, towels, full kitchen amenities, satellite tv, tons of dvds, toilet paper, hygiene/shower products). The location is nice as well, the cottage is surrounded by forest with lots of privacy and lots of land. We definitely recommend this cottage and we hope to visit again!

It was much more than just a rented space. Home was such a lovely place with everything one needs and it was just so warm and welcoming. I saw that the owner took pride in her home and enjoyed sharing her lovely home with others who fancied an experience in Bobcaygeon. Owner gave us a phone call prior to check in just to touch base and see if we had any questions. Owner provided a manual which is very helpful and provided all the information we needed. Cottage was very clean, very welcoming, and was very comfortable. We had an amazing time and made such a wonderful memory of summer 2019. Thank you so muc for letting us stay at your lovely home, we would absolutely love to visit again.

This is a beautifully appointed lake home, the elevated views over the water are priceless, we had a wonderful time. Tory is available if needed and was great to deal with. I would recommend this place if you’re visiting the area.

Tory's place was exactly as we expected. The cottage is huge and every room was thoughtfully laid out. The rooms were furnished with adults in mind - ie: Master bedroom had a king sized bed and the 3 other rooms had a queen sized bed. 3 full bathrooms meant that we did not have to fight for bathroom time at any point. My only criticism was that the master bedroom had a french door going outside the upper deck but there were no privacy curtains or blinds that covered the doors - which almost resulted in a very embarrassing moment for me getting out of bed and my group having coffee just outside my bedroom. The kitchen had everything we needed, including proper dishware and glassware which helped reduce the need for disposable plates and utensils. The fridge was large enough to keep food for 8 adults for almost a week. The views from the upper deck were fantastic and exactly as they were in the pictures - those sunsets in their pictures were not filtered! We appreciated the welcome binder that had all the instructions laid out for the cottage which minimize the guessing - when in doubt, we referred to the binder! No A/C but that was never an issue since all the windows + ceiling fans + the lake breeze were more than enough to keep the rooms cool at anytime during the day. The area is relatively quiet and very little noise from neighbouring cottages at night. Tory's communication was clear and response was fast. A previous review commented on signing a separate rental agreement, which I would tend to agree that it might be "overkill" - I would suspect that AirBnB does not provide enough protection for the home owners. Given the pristine condition of the cottage, I could understand the need to keep it as pristine as possible. My message to my group was to treat this place as if we were guests to each other's cottage - just be very mindful of how you treat the place. Overall, I highly recommend Tory's place for mature adults looking for a relaxing time away from the "party cottages".

The place was really beautiful. Great location, beautiful view of the lake and forest, decorated well, with modern appliances and decor. Had a lovely main room with a fireplace, and plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for a larger group. It's in a great location—about 35 minutes from Bobcaygeon, 45 from Peterborough—with lots of space for nature walks. Tory was accommodating in allowing a late check-out, as it's the off-season, and was very friendly and responsive to emails. The only negative our group had to say was regarding the amount of rules and expectations put on us. The entire group had to sign a liability waiver, which is unnecessary given that I would be held liable as the person booking the location. We had to use Docusign because members of our group were coming in from all over, so it was a real hassle that we've never had to deal with before. Also, we pay a $100 cleaning fee, which is absolutely fine, but then find in the check-out guide that vacuuming and cleaning the toilets was expected. We left the cottage very clean and organized, but we're not cleaning toilets, nor should we be asked to, if we're paying a cleaning fee. Overall, however, the cottage and location far outweigh these few frustrations, and my group and I would highly recommend it. And, as an aside, we were there in the middle of February, so I can only imagine that it's a great lakeside spot for summer.

This cottage was fantastic. It is beautifully decorated, immaculately clean and has all the amenities needed. It has plenty of space for a family and is a great place to relax and enjoy the lake . Tory is a welcoming and helpful host providing us with all the information we would need about the cottage and the area. We can’t wait to go back .

Great weekend winter getaway. Andrew is a terrific host, and the cottage was equipped with most everything we needed. We were able to host our blended family of adult offspring for the weekend then have soft snowy days to just the two of us the rest of the time. A short 18 min drive to Bobcaygeon and even closer to Buckhorn. Honest advertising, quiet winter spot, and a caring host.

The cottage is in a gorgeous location with views of the lake and lots of space on the dock and benches and floating dock to hang out and take it in. The area was quiet, and the foliage spectacular (in October). I am sure it would be a lot of fun at other times of the year as well. The cottage itself was clean and spacious, with everything we needed. The kids especially enjoyed the selection of games in the side room with windows and skylight. The set-up of the space was really perfect for our group because of the two separate bedrooms for adults with the bunk bed room for kids in between. The beds were really comfortable and bunks would also work for adults if needed. The area is a lot of fun to explore for hiking, and a highlight was our visit to Petroglyphs provincial park, which is worth the 40 minute drive. We also enjoyed the outdoor fire pit in the evenings. Andrew was a very helpful host who provided us with useful, detailed tips on everything we needed, and always responded quickly to any question we had.

Andrew's place is as awesome as he is. Quick to respond if you have questions and is a great host. It is a super location for scenic hikes , visiting Bobcaygeon or Buckhorn. Lots to see and do. The cottage itself is super roomy and very comfortable. Has all you need for a wonderful stay. October was breathtaking but anytime would be memorable. Would gladly rent again.

I went with my best friend to this gorgeous cottage! The place was very clean and has absolutely stunning views. Next door had construction going on but that’s to be expected in the off season. We enjoyed going on long walks, playing bocce, a canoe ride, and having dance parties in the open space kitchen! One of our favourite parts was the lack of clocks in the cottage. It was an amazing touch where we never cared what time it was and could truly just relax and stay in the moment. Would recommend!

Wonderful Weekend!!!. This is nice little cottage in Bobcaygeon. Andrew has been a wonderful host. The cottage is as accurate as it can be described in the picture. Good size lot with a lot of amenities. I was supposed to travel with close family of ours who landed up cancelling, so I turned into a quiet gateway for my wife and kid. We arrived late in dark on the first night - Andrew kept in touch and checked up to make sure we arrive safely. The cottage was nice and very clean. As much as the view from the cottage looks great the light and upgrade in the cottage make it look really nice in the evening. My son and I spent a lot of time fishing of the dock. Did catch a bass but mostly sunfish which were bigger than the size of my hand.. Thank you Andrew for hosting us , we would love to come back to your cottage again , perhaps next year or sometime in winter.

Julie’s place is lovely. The cottage has a classic Canadian feel. The hot tub is wonderful after a long day of hiking in the winter. Julie is really helpful and responds to messages really quickly. Her place has everything you to prepare meals and to cook. My son, my husband and I had a fabulous time!

What an incredible space to unwind and reconnect with nature. Julie was super accommodating to our needs as we were traveling with a dog and we were grateful for that. The fireplace and hot tub were such great perks we can’t wait to come back. You will love everything about this cabin in the woods. Thank you Julie for opening up your space to us.

My parents flew out to Canada from the UK to see me and we rented this beautiful property for 7 days. Carla was great at answering all our questions prior to our stay, and helped ensure we were all set up for our stay. The property and surroundings are gorgeous, even better than the pictures! The lake, mixed in with the beach and all the different area's, both inside and outside of the house were perfect for chilling out and relaxing. We made some great memories here and highly recommend both the house and Carla as a wonderful host.

The cottage is very spacious, clean and comfortable while the outside lakefront has a great beach space and fire pit area. Beautiful cottage with a lovely sandy beach that’s fantastic for little ones. The cottage is even nicer in person than the photos! Great for two families traveling together as we were. Two living areas and very spacious bedrooms gave plenty of space for all. Beds were comfy! My favourite part was the deck as I had to work during my trip and the views were stunning. Lots of outdoor seating and space to spread out. Carla was super responsive and even offered to help me when a power outage knocked out the wifi. If you’re headed for a family vacation this would be the perfect place! FYI the owners stayed in another house on the (large) property and have done a great job of separating the docks and outdoor spaces to give privacy and space to everyone. If you are looking for total seclusion, this might not work for you, but it was perfect for us!

What a lovely spot! It was perfect for us and our two young boys. The beach was clean, with a safe sloped entry. The inside spaces are large, clean and welcoming. Everything we could have thought of was made available upon arrival. Firewood, marshmallow sticks, lots of outdoor seating, a generous amount of cleaning supplies.

The cottage is just as advertised. Large, spacious indoor area and a way better outdoor area with little beach. There was a boat launch and dock to tie our boat up and even good fishing right off of the dock! Carla was easy to deal with and would go back again.

Now has a nice dock to tie up a boat which was very convenient and a great spot to see the sunset. Had a great weekend!

Great little cottage! Basic inside, but as all the other reviews state the amount of land and privacy is unmatched! We had a great time and would definitely stay again.

Cozy cabin and sprawling lakefront property. Very private and well manicured. Large shade trees and beautiful views all around. Lovely walking paths along the water and in the bush. A dream-scape for any lover of the outdoors. Yes you can be the person who resides beyond that "No Trespassing" sign. Bar-BQ, full kitchen and cabinets. Decor is in need of an update, but you're at the cottage, no time to be inside. There's also a boathouse with a canoe. I could not believe the value of this place. Will stay again

Great property!

Good location and super spacious property. It provides the type of privacy that hard to find in other place. My family enjoyed our stay a lot, especially my dog, he had a great time to explore. Certainly will come back next year.

This space is gorgeous. The land and view steal the show. The cabin itself is pretty basic and could use some touch ups, but it had everything that we needed. We spent most of our time outdoors. The trees provide great cover and it’s very peaceful. Garbagemen and caretakers did drop by to mow the grass (unexpectedly) but they were quick. Lots of bugs after the sun sets due to some marshy areas but it really is a lovely space and we had a very enjoyable time.

The property that this place is on is outstanding. Great fishing and tons of space for the kids (and dogs if you have pets) to run around.The trees provide perfect amount of shaded areas. The cottage is rustic but it was clean and perfect for what we were there for. If you are looking for a private space to have a relaxing time outside this is it! This is a wonderful space! Had all the amenities we needed for a weekend getaway in the Kawarthas. Super clean and cozy cottage on the water. Beautiful view of the lake. Quiet and peaceful. We had the most unbelievable experience at Meaghan’s! The stay was so relaxing! We loved using the canoe, kayaks, and outdoor games, and being only 15ish minutes from town was perfect! We will absolutely come back next year!!

Pet friendly is an understatement. I'm not sure who had more fun, our dogs or our kids. Great spot if you're looking for a getaway where the dogs will be very welcomed.

This was our second time at David & Michael’s B&B. It was just as lovely as the first. We stayed in a different room this time - and actually ended up switching rooms once arriving when our senior dog had a hard time with the stairs. David was lovely enough to offer to accommodate our switch - which made the weekend so much easier for our pup and us :) Food & hospitality were as great as our last stay. We got a lovely hot weekend with some early fall colours to enjoy with our pups by the water. Couldn’t have asked for a better weekend away. Would love to go back again!

Our booking was last minute and we did not know what to expect. The hosts Michael and David were extremely welcoming and made us feel right at home. Mornings were great waking up to a very well rounded tasty breakfasts. My son and wife can't wait to go back. Highly recommended.

A superb family vacation in a beautiful space!

This is the second year in a row I have stayed here, it is amazing! Pool with lifeguard so you can relax and kids can swim, beach on the lake and the park is very friendly. The trailer was extremely clean and comfortable, the large porch is perfect for a rainy day so you can still be outside but not getting wet. Absolutely love this place and will be booking again for next year!

Great place! The house is clean and has everything you need, huge deck with sofas and chairs, the park has a heated pool, playground, tennis court, soccer field , beach with chairs and more. Everything is 5 min walk. Very quiet and beautiful place. Thank you, Kim

This place was amazing. Nice and clean and cozy. Kim also went out of her way to make sure we had a great stay. She even removed her seadoo from the docks so that we could park ours there. This allowed us to not have to worry about driving down to a boat launch every time we wanted to go for a rip.

We came for a couple of week nights. Great cottage and location. We loved how peaceful and relaxing it was. Kids spent the entire time in the pool. Lifeguard on duty so the boys 10 and 12 could go on their own. Great little beach, lots of sand and good shady areas. All around great time. Cottage had great layout, everything you needed and an awesome deck.

Beautiful cottage and perfect location and so quiet. Cottage is not so big but with everything we needed. We love the lake, big backyard, kayaks... best value you could find in summer. Kids enjoyed everything and didn’t want to leave!

Jonathan't cottage was one of the best we visited. We had tons of fun canoeing, kayaking and doing all kinds of other activities at the cottage and at the Elim Lodge Resort that is three minutes walk away. The cottage itself is large, well furnished and very well equipped. We brought our own pillows, linens and towels as we usually do, although we shouldn't have - Jonathan has everything available right there! In the evenings our kids enjoyed their favorite shows on Netflix as Jonathan has wifi and a great entertaining unit. We bought groceries in Peterborough that is just over half an hour drive away, but one can buy the essentials in variety store at Elim Lodge and other resorts nearby. Overall, five star (or six?) experience! Thank you Jonathan!

We spent a lovely week at this cottage! The property is beautiful and the cottage has everything you need and was very clean. We enjoyed walking over to the resort where our kids could play on the playground and play in the sand on the beach. The waterfront at the cottage gets afternoon sun, so it was great to play in the water and sit by the lake in the afternoons. The beds are very comfortable and the bedding was clean and ready when we arrived. There were many towels and the bathroom has a bath tub which was good for our kids (who are 4 and 2). The kitchen was well stalked and had all the basics, as well as small appliances (microwave, toaster, coffee maker etc.). We will definitely be back!

We had a wonderful weekend at Dave's cottage. The cottage had everything we needed and is in a beautiful location. We loved all the water craft available for us to use and would like to visit again.

My family and I travelled to Dave’s place for a weekend family getaway. Our group included my mom and dad, brother and his girlfriend, my husband and our baby. The place was spotless! We loved the cozy cottage, the dock, canoes and paddle boarding. We also liked that the neighbours weren’t too close by so there is a sense of privacy. We all had a wonderful time and really enjoyed ourselves! Dave was quick to answer text messages, if you book this you won’t be disappointed

Dave's place is the perfect location for a relaxing cottage vacation. Just pack your swimsuit, sunscreen and a beach towel and throw a few items in the cooler and you are good to go. Dave has everything else covered. From pool noodles, inflatable rafts, and outdoor toys to bath towels, kitchen towels, and sheets- it is all provided. There was even an extra fridge in the boathouse. My elderly mother enjoyed the easy entry into the water and my teen boys loved that there were plenty of paddle boards and kayaks for everyone. We liked that the water was fairly shallow and calm so the kids were able to venture further out from the cottage. The floating dock was also a nice feature that the kids enjoyed. My husband was thrilled to find that there was a hammock where he could sit and relax! We would recommend this cottage for both the very young and very old and everyone in between. We found Dave very easy to communicate with and quick to respond.

The cottage had everything we needed, our hosts were awesome, the beach is so close you can walk through the water to it yet you can't hear noise from the cottage. This place is the one you're looking for if your looking to create memories to last forever. Super clean and comfortable.

Ace's cottage is lovely in the winter time! The hot tub and fire pit make staying in on a cold winters day so memoriable and fun. Ace is quick to communicate and respond to any questions, and he is happy to help provide tips or recommendations for your stay. The space is clean and cozy, with an awesome family room that's perfect for lounging with a book, or for playing some of the boardgames provided. Keep in mind a lot of the local stores in Bobcaygon and nearby towns will close up in the winter time, but there's still lots to do within a short drive of the cottage. We had a wonderful time and hope to visit again soon! Thanks Ace!

Ace’s getaway was fantastic! You could spend a whole day on the deck or sitting by the fire or water and feel completely satisfied. The space is cute and comforting! Responses via air bnb messenger were super quick! The kitchen is lacking a bit in terms of essentials (bowls, cooking essentials) but we made it work and weren’t expecting too much. We had an amazing time

Great weekend away - lovely space

We had such an incredible weekend at David & Michael’s lodge. Exceeded all expectations by far and would recommend to anyone looking for a weekend away at a (extremely) dog friendly lodge on the water. It was such a relaxing weekend with all the special touches you could think of. Homemade dinner & breakfasts were delicious - and we ate our weight in fresh pie, muffins & scones! During the day we spent time down by the water - and evenings were spent in the hot tub. Jill’s Guest House was excellent - with our own fenced in yard and bbq to make dinner. Large collection of books & DVD’s to enjoy. Wonderful conversation with other guests, and of course with David & Michael. Their hospitality was exceptional. We can’t wait to come back. Wish we’d discovered this gem years ago!

Woodhaven is a great place to rest and enjoy nature. David and Michael make you feel welcomed during your entire stay. They treat you like family. We had breakfast and dinner, the meals were very delicious, all homemade! The snacks available are fabulous too! The location is great, it’s close to the lake and very secluded. This is the first place I’ve ever been that is 100% pet friendly, all small details for your pet were well thought out. We definitely recommend the place. We plan to go back in the near future.

This cottage was awesome! We had an excellent time and really enjoyed the hot tub + sauna. The view was beautiful and the cottage felt really private. Also, sound doesn't travel through the house at all which was a nice bonus when some went to sleep earlier then others. The sleeping situation was fairly decent, although the basement was a little cold (one bedroom with a double bed and a pull-out single bed is down there). All in all a great experience :) Thank you!

The cottage was very fun and comfortable for our group of 9. The view of the lake was beautiful and the hot tub and sauna were a highlight for our winter trip. The cottage was well-stocked with towels, fresh linens, and kitchen ware. I would definitely come here again.

Alex and Sophie’s place was great, we had a group of 10 people and it very easily and comfortably accommodated is all. The hot tub and the sauna were amazing, and the 2 kitchens came in very handy. Would definitely recommend for a getaway away from the city!

The entire family had a great weekend in this special place created by David and Michael. We expected to rent a simple cottage on the lake and we ended up in a large scale bed and breakfast, sharing suppers and conversation with other nice guests, enjoying the hot tub, playing pool and relaxing in the cosy library. We felt home all the way through thanks to the high quality hospitality and meaningful attentions such as the pies and coffee available 24/7 or the large choice of DVDs and books. Not to mention that our pet had a blast too, wandering unleashed around the house or the surroundings and sharing good times with the other guests’ pets. We definitely recommend this homey place (especially to pet owners and families with children!) and are looking forward to coming back in the winter.

We had a really wonderful family trip staying in Margaret’s suite. We loved having all the comforts of home plus the extra hospitality and relaxation of a b&b. The common rooms are so inviting and we felt right at home due to the warm welcome and friendly atmosphere. Being able to truly feel welcome with kids and dogs is not usually offered in a b&b setting and it was so refreshing from a parents point of view. We enjoyed watching movies in the family room, reading in the library, and kayaking in the lake. The group breakfast was a great socializing time with the other guests and even my kids loved chatting with everyone and their dogs. We made ourselves comfortable and prepared a couple dinners in the common area and enjoyed the view of the lake in the large dining room. This is a really special place in the Kawartha region and made for a great home base to explore the area.
