Cozy, private space near tourist area of Thamel

JasonRating, 5 stars4 weeks ago
My stay was pleasant. Everything in the apartment worked well. The hot water for the shower was very reliable. The internet was okay, but not excellent. The only thing that was not as good as I had hoped was the walk to Thamel. The streets were busy and you had to cross two main streets, which, in Kathmandu, is always a challenge. All in all, it is a good place for a short stay.

Lovely place to stay at Tamel. The staff were really friendly and helpful. They helped and answered all of our questions about the adapter and buying vegetables. The power was gone for a bit, but they tried to fix it immediately. Very nice team!

Shanti Apartment 2BHK(Thamel<5 min walk) 2nd Floor

ElinaRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
Hi everyone! Just wanted to leave a review about this place. The first thing worth mentioning is the location — the apartment is very close to the center of Thamel, just a 5-minute walk to all the cafes, restaurants, and spots with great European-style breakfasts. Secondly, the hosts are super friendly! On the first day, they showed me where to buy affordable fruits and vegetables and even recommended some local places with delicious food. Overall, they were always quick to help and respond to any requests I had (and I had quite a few, haha). It’s only a 10-minute walk to Durbar Square — everything is really close by. Highly recommend!

Large attic sunny loft in Kathmandu near Thamel

RussellRating, 5 stars4 days ago
It was a delight staying at Anup’s accommodation in Kathmandu! The unit was spotlessly clean, amply supplied with modern amenities - alongside with being rather spacious - and it is decorated with touches of Nepali cultural artifacts. The bed was comfortable and the shower boasts regular water temperature regulation for either the hot or cold weather. The location itself is within close walking to the popular Thamel area and so restaurants, groceries, pharmacy, supplies etc. are available at your convenience. The host was responsive, courteous and ready to assist at a moment’s notice. This listing is a wonderful find for you during your travels!

Avocado Tree Serviced Apartment in Kathmandu

AyshaRating, 5 stars1 month ago
So happy we decided to stay here with all the choices available! This family is absolutely wonderful, all of them and Madhu is an angel. Very peaceful area away from the craziness that is Thamel. But you can easily get a car there for walk if you want, which we did a few times. My toddler and I spent a month there and we had such a wonderful stay. We feel like we have a family in Kathmandu that we want to come visit. Loved the spaciousness of the space and the view from the roof is beautiful. The WiFi was soooo good honestly probably the best we had in all the places we traveled in Asia. It’s super duper clean and you can tell they keep it that way always. We just had such a great month and are so appreciative of this beautiful family and can’t wait to come back again! Thank you so much!!

Ashmit's Manor Unit II "Home of a Chef"

SophiaRating, 5 stars1 week ago
I booked Ashmit’s Manor for 2 months and two weeks and thought to myself that it would be a long time to be unhappy if I didn’t like the accommodation. However, I was in for a most pleasant experience that will remain memorable! Though I arrived after midnight on the first day, the host and his dear wife were at the apartment to welcome us with a ceremony. That ushered us into a whole season of authentic hospitality, kindness, availability, warmth, an impeccably clean environment and amenities beyond our expectations!! The accommodation was as presented on the Airbnb site but we had more than just physical accommodation. The patient host was our reliable information hub with good suggestions to local places to see and local authentic cuisine. I had a great time in the apartment and in Nepal in general and I believe we felt so at home and well informed in Nepal because of the one-of-a-kind host we had! I will definitely come back some day for we have become like family! Thank you!

Tahaja Guest Tower

LonnekeRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a fantastic stay at the Tahaja Guest Tower! It was a great way to end a four week trip in Nepal. The Tower itself is so beautiful, with a very nice terrace to sit outside. Nice beds, great shower, coffee and tea. The whole property is beautiful, quiet, with a lot of green and flowers. And still just a 20 min walk to Bhaktapur. Puneshwari and Mohan make delicious breakfast and dinner, and are so helpfull. Contact with Lena was also very easy.
