Back to nature in this tranquil little wooden building, beautiful antique windows reveal a gentle vista of rolling hills and open skies. It's Ireland's answer to glamping, (with a solid roof over your head ;) ) yet the feeling of being out in nature.
This is a glamping experience, it is a warm, dry, insulated wooden cabin with a comfortable bed and lovely views. Be prepared to wander through the garden to kitchen and w.c. Umbrella and torch provided. Wifi available in the kitchen cabin, not in the Cosy Cabin itself. Experience the exquisite night-time quiet of the countryside, awaken to the soothing cooing of woodpigeons and the country sounds of rooster 'Jenkins' and his flock of happy hens. Lounge in the garden as Red Kites soar overhead and, in season, snack on organic produce, especially our sweet organic grapes from the polytunnel. Look up at the milkyway sketched across the night sky and inhale sweet clean air. The cabin accommodates 2 people, it has its own solar power supply, its south-east facing big windows provide beautiful views of the surroundings. The bed is a comfortable double and there's a fold out table and chairs and an outdoor picnic table. BREAKFAST: A basket of breakfast goodies will be provided for you to dine at your leisure. A 30 meter stroll through the garden brings you to the kitchen and a wc/shower room which are housed in a separate cabin. You are welcome to cook in the communal kitchen and make teas and coffee (provided) whenever you please. The kitchen has a small fridge, two hot plates and pots and pans. You'll be sharing the kitchen with other guests, you also have the option to eat in your cabin or at your private picnic table. We have a garden Chimenea and you are welcome to light a fire there. But we ask you to bring your own fuel, a bag of logs or bale of briquettes and fire-lighters.
"There is not in this wide world a valley so sweet" Stroll from the house to the beautiful Avondale Arboretum with the Avonmore river flowing down from the Wicklow National Park to the Meeting-of-the-Waters made famous by Thomas Moore's song. A twenty minute drive will bring you to the golden sands of Brittas bay or the stunning beauty of Glendalough. Rathdrum nestles in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains and offers direct access to all the beauty "The Garden of Ireland" has to offer. The Wicklow Way & Lugnaquilla mountain are some of the nearby hiking highlights. The Clara Lara Funpark and Greenane Maze and Farm Museum are great for kids. And not to forget the beautiful Avondale Forest Park just a 15min walk from your cabin, the riverwalk there is simply stunning. Have a look at our other listing so you can book for a whole family.
  • We loved this place! If you’re looking for an extraordinary accommodation, definitely book a night or two with Fiona and Edwin. The breakfast was amazing and so caringly prepared (with fresh eggs from their own hens!). We stayed in the smaller of the two cabins (indeed a “cozy cabin”) which was perfect and brought us back to the basics. You don’t need WiFi to go to sleep and it’s much nicer to wake up to the wind blowing through the bushes than cars speeding past your window!

    Veronika2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • I’m astonished as the landowners are so dedicated in each detail. We loved everything! It's a great place to rest. We had a memorable moment there! Thanks!

    Filipe2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time! Delicious breakfast and country side feel at its best! The cabin was really cosy. Thank you :)

    Manel2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • It was a great and cozy stay, from cleaning to every detail of the cabin. I would love to return there to each different season.

  • A great spot. Highly recommend. We are planning on returning.

    Darren2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • The place was fantastic. There was a storm while we stayed there but we were still comfortable and cosy in the cabin. The breakfast was a really nice touch too! Would highly recommend the place.

  • Edwin & Fiona’s Cozy cabin was one of the highlights of our trip!! The bed was incredibly comfortable and we kept wishing we could go back!

    Korbyn2020-02-14T00:00:00Z
  • Located in a beautiful part of Wicklow, this cosy cabin is great for a getaway. We stayed in the smaller cabin, but it was very spacious for two people. Getting breakfast in the morning is a lovely touch, especially the fresh eggs. Edwin and Fiona are very kind people too.

Stone walled self catering cottage, secluded, great views, excellent walks, close to Arklow and Wicklow towns. An hour from Dublin, Queen size bed and double sleeper couch, separate bathroom, kitchen/living room.Remote location, wifi available.
Spacious, well equipped, authentic old stone cottage, ( circa 1640's). Two levels. Outside deck/patio area. Separate bedroom and bathroom area. Log stove.
The location is remote, no street lights or passing traffic... The quietness at night is unique. The rising sun in the east over the Irish sea is clearly visible from the deck area. The stars at night are magnificent in the clear winter skies. We love the solitude and feeling of space the location provides.
  • Very cosy cottage with great views.

    Simon2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • The accommodation was just perfect for us! Cant wait to come back again during the summer!

    Cassandra2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We came back again - and enjoyed it just as much. Can’t give higher praise than returning. The location and amazing homemade scones were highlights!

    Robert2020-03-07T00:00:00Z
  • Cute cottage, beautiful views. Sanchia was very welcoming, brought over some of the fresh scones she was baking when we arrived.

  • Such a gorgeous gorgeous retreat, with avoca village being a cute nearby village. The host was very hospitable and friendly and the wood fire stove was the nicest touch

    Kevin2020-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • If you have a chance to stay here, definitely do it! The views are spectacular and the cottage is absolutely perfect. Wildlife is all around - we loved watching the rabbits and ducks frolicking about. Caught sight of a fox and a number of pheasants. We were welcomed with some scones and jam and firewood for the night. Such a cost spot...we hope to stop in again, but next time stay longer...thank you Sanchia!

    Shanan2020-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning scenery and wonderful host! As everyone says Sanchia’s freshly made warm scones were incredible!! Everyone was so friendly during our stay in Ireland and Sanchia was so helpful when we got in a pickle. Shame we couldn’t have stayed longer, definitely recommend this stay.

    Sophie2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Stunning views, cosy woodburning stove, TV and wifi make this the perfect retreat. The cottage is almost better in foul weather. Being perched atop a valley in a storm with wood crackling in the stove is about as good as it gets.

  • You need to spend at least three days here to even begin to explore all special places in this “Garden of Ireland “. There is no TV and for me this is a bug positive. Instead we lit the log burner poured a few drinks and played cards! Thanks for having us

  • A lovely, quiet, quaint spot. The pod looks even better in person than it does in the pics. Sparkling clean, comfy bed and furnishings, and lovely details such as the hens eggs and little snacks Jennifer left out for us. The bathroom being outside doesn’t take anything away from the experience, lovely hot water, towels and soap provided. Would highly recommend the place.

  • We absolutely loved staying in the Laurel Pod. Jennifer and Marc were such hospitable and gracious hosts. Not a single detail was overlooked and it made our stay perfect. Everything from the cleanliness to the character to the cozy atmosphere was immaculate. My only complaint is that we didn't book a longer stay. We will go out of our way to make sure we stay here again. Thank you Jennifer and Marc!

  • You will not be disappointed if you stay here. Such a cute cottage away from the hustle and bustle of city life. Location was close to many hiking trails and the scenery was amazing! You’ll miss out if you don’t book with Selena!!!

    Charsie2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • The farm of Selena and Alex is a perfect place to switch off, warm up next to the warm oven in rainy weather and go on great trips. All animals are very tame and trusting - you are greeted with love and get your money's worth when cuddling. The fields are what you would imagine Ireland to be, and even in February there were cute lambs. The equipment leaves nothing to be desired - you can borrow shoes on site to explore the farm. Communication works great - that's why it can be recommended without any restrictions!

    Irina2020-02-24T00:00:00Z
  • Selena was great about communicating and had the cutest little cottage room for us to stay in. Fire was nice, but we had such cold days and being out all day it was a bit hard to keep it as warm as we would’ve liked. Although Selena kept heated blankets on the beds and lots of wood to stock up the fire so we managed just fine once we got it up and roaring! We definitely had a good time exploring Wicklow, hiking, and having a can of Guinness while hanging out by the fire at night. Definitely worth the experience if you want to enjoy the real farmland of Ireland. (I really loved feeding the chickens and ducks) :)

    Allison2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • If you’re looking for “rustic”, as I was, this is the perfect place for you.

    Kam2020-02-15T00:00:00Z
  • What an amazing opportunity! A chance to really work on a farm was a dream for this city girl. The cottage was very comfortable and quiet. Lots of places right on the farm to walk and explore. Hosts were great and offered lots of info regarding the area and things to do.

    Denise2020-02-08T00:00:00Z
  • SpringFarm is a beautiful and idyllic working farm which considering being located in the rural Irish countryside is only a 10 minute drive from the nearest motorway. The accommodation itself is a 3 roomed traditional cottage with a bedroom, bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen/dinning room which hosts an amazing little log burner fire. Awaiting you is an information book pertaining to the farm and things to do and see in the area as well as pans, cutlery and condiments. The hosts Alex and Selena are absolutely brilliant; despite leaving you to come and go and explore as you please they are always happy to help and assist in any way they can. We felt very comfortable and at home here we did also have some car issues whilst we were over here and they literally bent over backwards to do everything they could to help us out. No areas of the farm were off limits we had a lot of fun venturing through the surrounding fields taking in the breathtaking countryside and meeting all the animals along the way. Long story short this is a fantastic little place to stay for anybody who is looking to enjoy and explore the true countryside. Thank you so much for having us we are very much hoping to come out and stay with you again soon 😁

    Nicole2020-01-24T00:00:00Z
  • Great sheep farm experience with welcoming hosts. The fire was lit when we arrived and there was a great atmosphere in the cottage. All the amenities we needed were there, and we felt very lucky to see the buildings and livestock of a working farm. Way better than a clinical hotel stay. A highlight for us was a tasty cooked breakfast which included black pudding, fresh duck eggs and bacon with the hosts in the farmhouse kitchen. Already missed Selena and Alex’ conversaion while we drove away. Highly recommend this place.

  • Fourth time my daughter and I have stayed here. She loved the colouring-in book and crayons that were laid out for her. She loves staying at 'the holiday house's. It's these little touches coupled with the welcoming and helpful nature of Beth and Lar that keep bringing us back. We'll be back!

    Liam2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • Great spot for a short getaway close to home. Beth and Lar are great hosts. We would definitely recommend this chalet for anyone looking for a weekend for some peace and quiet!

  • If you're looking to get away from the noise and crowd of the big city, this is it! The location was perfect. My friends and I fell in love with the Wicklow area and it was made all the better with a warm cabin to stay the night in. It was clean and exactly what we were looking for.

  • This cabin is absolutely beautiful. We travelled here myself, my partner and our little girl. The cabin has everything you could ask for and lots of space. It's very clean and even has toys in the room for children. The hosts are very nice and provide all and any information necessary but aren't at all over bearing. There is a lovely little fire pit the far side of the cabin to be used for guests also. We definitely hope to return in the future.

  • Fabulous place to stay. The creamery is comfortable and has so many fantastic touches that make you feel right at home. It was clean, the beds were comfortable, house and the heated floors were heavenly warm at all times. We’ll 100% be back again for another trip out of the city. Exactly what we needed and this place delivered above our expectations.

    Lindsay2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona was an incredible host, with a beautiful home. The Creamery is just stunning, warm and cosy. Fiona thought of everything and we couldn’t have asked for more. She was so thoughtful regarding us being vegan, and made sure there were some lovely treats for our arrival! Can’t recommend enough, our only downside was having to leave!

    Aoife2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • My Mom, sister and I have just returned from a fabulous weekend at The Creamery. From the moment we booked, Fiona's warmth and hospitality was apparent and this continued throughout our stay. The house is stunning, with so many special features. Fiona has thought of absolutely everything - from homemade brown bread to toiletries, sweets, games - the list is endless! We'll definitely be back!

    Aisling2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Fiona and Claire's place is so relaxing to be at. Lots of lovely little touches like bathroom treats and fresh bits on the fridge for breakfast. Lovely space to be in and had a great night sitting under the stars just feeling away from it all. Will come back for longer next time not just to enjoy the area but to enjoy their lovely hospitality and warm welcome.

    Ben2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous house, very comfortable and warm. Had everything we needed.

  • A stay at the Creamery is a must! The place is absolutely stunning and has everything you could possibly need. All of the little touches around the house really make it special. The two hosts, Fiona and Claire, were fantastic and very accommodating. We absolutely loved this place and will definitely be back. Couldn’t recommend it enough!

    Kaya2020-01-19T00:00:00Z
  • The best AirBnb experience we have ever had! I knew by the photos this place would be gorgeous but if possible it is even better than we expected! Fiona was so lovely to deal with and the her attention to detail was second to none. We really appreciated the little touches like fresh baked bread and cakes and eggs and bacon in the fridge! It’s a home from home and we can’t wait to go back again, I’m already looking at dates!

    Keelin2020-01-12T00:00:00Z
  • My girlfriend and I had the best time at The Creamery! It’s a beautiful, cosy home that was perfect for a winter weekend away for two (although it would have had more than enough space for 4!). Everything was stylishly decorated, clean and well equipped. We loved putting the fire on after a long day’s walking, and relaxing in the living room each evening. The kitchen has everything you might need, and the underfloor heating and smart TV were a luxurious touch. Fiona was a great host - we arrived to find fresh baked bread and cakes, plus eggs milk and bacon in the fridge for our stay, shampoos and body wash in the bathrooms, and even a couple of Christmas crackers! And she was super helpful and immediately on hand when we had questions or needed anything. The main bedroom where we slept was really comfortable too. Would recommend hiring a car for getting around - Wicklow Mountains National Park is an easy hour’s drive and was stunning. All in all a brilliant stay - thank you Fiona!

  • Tom’s place is clean and tidy, it has a comfortable layout with everything you need for a couple to stay. We brought our dogs and it was great to see them made welcome also. The fire was lit for us when we arrived which was cosy. The kitchen has lots of bits and pieces in it rather than being bare of food and everything we needed was there. Tom was friendly, made sure we had what we needed and was happy to talk to us about finding things to do.

  • Fantastic cottage in a really nice setting. Really close to a lot of amazing sites in Wicklow, we really enjoyed hiking Glendalough and walking Brittas Bay beach. Facilities in the cottage are great, perfect for cooking a meal and relaxing in front of the fire for the evening. Loads of really helpful tips of sites to see in the area. We really enjoyed our stay here, as did our dog who spent most of the evenings running around with the dogs who live there. We will be definitely be back.

    Christopher2020-03-06T00:00:00Z
  • Tom's place was ideal - great facilities, lovely setting and Tom was really helpful and friendly. Tom and Elli's guidebook of local tips was particularly helpful. Both of us and our dog had a fab weekend and wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for any future Wicklow adventures.

  • The place is so cozy. It has all that you need for a relax vacation with your pets. I love how Tom let his doggo welcome us as he was not home to greet us when we checked in. Despite the weather we had a lovely stay at Tom's place. Thanks for lighting the fireplace for us. We for sure will choose Tom's place again. Highly recommend!

    Tuyet2020-01-08T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed in Tom’s lovely cottage for two nights and thoroughly enjoyed it. It’s nice and cosy with a wood stove which really warms the place up, and it has everything you need in the kitchen plus a good sized bedroom and loft area. Tom has thoughtfully left some very helpful local tips on walking trails, local pubs etc, and he’s only too happy to share local knowledge with you. This is the perfect place to base yourselves and explore the beautiful Wicklow mountains area. We hope to be back one day!

Caroline is such a lovely lady, the communication beforehand was perfect, and we got a chance to meet her in person, for a lovely small chat. The house has everything you need, you just have to bring your bag, and relax. My favourite part was the beautiful view on the sea from the patio. • Carolines tiny house was the perfect fit for us! It was very clean, it had everything you could possibly need and it is so comfortable and cozy! We loved coming back to the tiny house after our windy and cold day trips 😊 we totally enjoyed our stay and consider to come back the next time we’ll be in Ireland. You’ll probably want to rent a car, since it’s not quite close to the city, but with a car you’ll be able to get anywhere pretty fast since the Highway is close to the house. Caroline was super nice and answered all our questions 😊 Thanks for a wonderful vacation

  • The cosiest of places to stay, even during a storm! From our first moments to our last, it was just perfection. We didn't want to leave!! The facilities were more than expected. We kitchen, bathroom, sitting area and bed were so homely and ideal for this stay. It was the most romantic of homes to stay in, with so much to look at, take in and admire. For anybody worrying about heating etc, there's no need. The warmth in the cabin is second to none, the water is as hot as you could possibly need and the bed is as comfortable as possible. We loved all the small touches around the place too. We also met Caroline and John. A really lovely and chatty couple who were so accommodating. We would recommend this to any couple looking to switch of for a night or two and to just have that romantic getaway from reality.

I couldn’t have asked for a better host than her! Her place was very lovely, and made us feel at home when we could come back for the day from exploring the country. I would highly recommend staying here to anyone that is visiting Ireland. Another plus side to this spot is that it is in a very beautiful location, and close to public transportation. Thank you again Anne Marie for being so lovely!

Our off-grid Tiny House is nestled in amongst a grove of pine trees in the beautiful Wicklow Mountains. With an airy loft bed space, large kitchen and complete tiny bathroom, our cute little cottage in the country is the perfect place to relax. 45 min drive into the heart of Dublin City or short train ride. Close to lots of walking trails. Popular cycling route. 5 min drive from town.
Tiny House living means a more simple way of living, however walking into the space it feels much bigger than expected. The cosy bedroom loft has a roof window so you can watch the stars at night or the birds and clouds float passed during the day. Simply slide the ladder across the rail to climb up into the loft sleeping space! A small fridge, oven, stove and everything else you need to make a big feast, in a small house! Our Tiny House is very well insulated and has gas fire to keep you cosy in the Winter. The house is fully off grid and runs on solar electricity and rain fall tank water (we recommend to bring your own drinking water), compost toilet, gas heating and cooking. NOTE: Because this is an off-grid house there is a chance one of the systems may not work (e.g. if there has not been sun for a long time the solar battery will have no power). The house is equipped with a trouble-shooting guide to assist if this is the case. It is all part of the fun of the off-grid experience!
The Wicklow Mountains are beautiful with lots of walking trails and natural sites. The Lane our tiny house is on is a beautiful walk on its own, and we have a lovely view of Sugarloaf Mountain. It is a very peaceful area with lots of birds and trees. 5 min drive to Newtown MountKennedy, a small town with a Dunnes Store supermarket and restaurants. 10 min walk to Djouce Golf Club 17 min drive to Guinness Lake 24 min drive to Glendalough 15 min drive to the ocean (Greystones) 40 min drive into Dublin City or a short train ride from Greystones Station
  • The place is unbelievable. It's cozy unconnected and all you need to enjoy a great time on the calm Wicklow. Evething around and perfect.. the communication was good with the owners and the staff.

    Andres2019-10-28T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny house is very cozy and comfortable. U got everything u need here and there are so many attractions to see. We definitely want to come back and stay longer.

    Marco2019-09-16T00:00:00Z
  • This tiny house is perfect for discovering Ireland. In addition to charming accommodation, walking and cycling are close by, as are Dublin's pubs. I recommend !

    Paul2019-08-26T00:00:00Z
  • Great place, full of love. One of the most special Airbnb's ever!!

    Michel2019-08-12T00:00:00Z
  • We absolutely enjoyed our stay at the lovely tiny house und the beautiful natural surrounding!

    Adina2019-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • The tiny home is beautiful, scenic, and charming, with more than enough amenities to make an off-grid experience surpass most other plugged-in homes. The home is remote yet ideally located within the Wicklow mountains, an easy distance from neighboring towns and hikes. The care which the owners put into its design, construction, and maintenance is apparent in every detail. We would highly recommend this space to anyone interested in staying in Wicklow!

    Henry2019-07-07T00:00:00Z
  • Emma’s place is a little piece of calm: a great opportunity to relax, unwind and enjoy the peacefulness of the countryside. It is beautiful up in the mountains where the tiny house is! The tiny house is really cosy and welcoming. It has thoughtful little touches and decor that make you feel at home. It is well equipped and there is lots of information on local things to do (which is great when you’re there to do a bit of hiking/sightseeing). We would definitely come back!

    Scott2019-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Emma was always available, if you had questions and knew everything a quick answer! The cottage itself was really cute and we felt like in our own little cottage Sweden! For people who want to experience a first Tiny House experience (like us), "The Rocks" is really recommended!

  • Lovely, spacious cottage within easy distance of the Wicklow mountains. Pádraig is a very attentive host, always on hand if needed, but not intrusive. We went in February, well out of season, but had a thoroughly enjoyable stay.

    Malene2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • Me and my boyfriend were looking for somewhere quiet for a weekend away and we stayed in Padraigs cottage for 2 days. We arrived at 7pm and Padraig had the fire already lighting for us. The cottage is beautiful and so clean. We cooked all our own meals there over the weekend with pots, pans and everything there to hand. We went for a lovely hike up the mountains on Sunday, came back, had dinner in front of the fire and watched a movie. It was just bliss away from the hectic week we both had. There was any amount of fire wood, also heating and WiFi. The bed was so comfy. Also Padraig messaged to make sure we were okay for everything. Would definitely go back and will highly recommend to all my friends 😊 5 stars 🖐

    Karen2020-02-03T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful wonderful host. Although the pictures are stunning you have to see this cottage to believe how beautiful it is. Pádraig made himself available to us the entire weekend and was kind enough to give us a lift to our venue. Fantastic local knowledge which we used for an unprompted (6hr) walk on our way home. While the location and the house our amazing, it's Pádraig who really makes it special. I can't thank him enough for his kindness over the weekend.

    Sandy2020-01-27T00:00:00Z
  • RathBan Cottage is a lovely place to escape to. Its clean, comfortable and spacious and has everything you need to make it a home away from home. Padraig (and his dad) are on hand and very helpful to answer any questions and give local tips for walking in the area. Its about 10min drive to Tinahely so great for all the walking routes in the area and food and drinks. Would definitely recommend the cottage and cant wait to visit again!

Elbren Cottage has been our home for 6years now,but it has been a home for some 120 years. The accommodation is attached but independent of our own dwelling with its own private entrance and private off street parking. It is a self contained unit. It is a gentle 10 stroll to the town centre. There are many pubs eateries and places of interest in both the town and local environs. We are located very close to Tinakilly house and only a few min away.
There is a small garden next to the cottage for guests and a bbq and fire pit is provided ,so in the summer you are more than welcome to use it. There is also a patio set .
Elbren cottage is a lovely quiet place yet very close to the town centre .
  • We had the most loveley stay in Wicklow! Beautiful place, incredibly welcoming hosts and a super clean, cozy and stunning flat. Will definitley come again :)

  • This place is probably the most amazing little place I have ever stayed in. The hosts went above and beyond with such thoughtful touches to the place. On arrival there was homemade scones, prosecco and even face masks for us. I would definitely recommend it to anybody looking for a nice peaceful relaxing night away. The jacuzzi and the fire were the icing on the cake. We woke up feeling very refreshed today after it 😁 5*+

  • Elbren Cottage was a treat to stay in, full of character and lots of lovely touches to make it special. We loved the books, board games and fire, and although it is very close to Wicklow town and the beautiful countryside, it was tempting to stay home and enjoy chilling out. I'd definitely recommend it for anyone staying in the area and will hopefully visit again!

Everything was immaculately kept and the cooking facilities were perfect for cooking up a meal for two. The views from the kitchen/sitting room were beautiful.

Welcome to our country cabin in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains and Blessington Lakes region. We hope you enjoy this home away from home as part of your visit to the "Garden of Ireland". Only a 20-minute drive to Glendalough and 15 minutes to Blessington, you will be situated in a convenient location for exploring our beautiful county. The cabin was built by Ed, with the help of family and friends, and we are both excited to host you. You will have the entire cabin to yourself.
You will have the cabin to yourselves, which boasts a dual aspect veranda to enjoy the sunset and stars. There is a double bed with a luxurious memory foam mattress and an electric blanket to help ease your tired muscles after enjoying one of the many walks in the area. There is also a futon which could sleep an extra 2 people, but for maximum comfort, we would recommend the cabin for two 2 guests, or 2 adults and 1 child. The comfortable bathroom has a walk-in shower with on-demand hot water. There is a grill-oven with double hob, toaster, kettle and fridge freezer so that you can prepare meals if you wish. Salt and pepper, tea and coffee, cooking oil and milk will be waiting should you wish to use them. A comfortable living and dining area with gas-fired stove and electric heater will help to warm you on those chilly nights.
We are situated down a small country lane, at the end of which you can access the lake on foot. The area is extremely quiet, with no traffic noise. The only sounds you might here are the chickens, cows, sheep, and sometimes of deer.
  • Lovely place with very thoughtful touches and amazing location.

  • This stay was absolutely perfect. Eds hand-built hut is an inspiration and so cosy. We experienced blizzard weather conditions whilst we were staying and were really toasty warm with burner and electric blankets. We enjoyed playing Viking chess and listening to music and time to talk and refuel by cooking a lovely meal in the well equipped kitchen I would definately return here again and for longer so as to explore the mountains more in dryer months. A Great location and fantastic hospitality. Thankyou so much.

An exceptional rustic retreat in the heart of Glendalough, ‘An Cillín’ takes its aesthetic cue from its stunning natural surroundings and echoes the ancient welcoming atmosphere of the historic monastic city which it overlooks. This is a truly unique studio cottage, with bog oak and yew timber features, an antique limestone sink and leaded glass church windows. Cosey up next to an authentic wood burning stove and enjoy our ‘monsoon’ rain shower or watch the stars from your own private garden
An adjoining courtyard framed by beautiful, traditional willow fences and featuring an outdoor pizza oven and fire pit, provides the perfect setting to enjoy a glass of wine to the soundtrack of mountain streams and The Glendasan river. You will also have access to your own private terraced garden that boasts unrivaled views of the valley, and Derrybawn and Camadeery mountains. Adorned with ancient granite ‘mushrooms’ and benches, and two incredibly comfy ‘egg swing chairs’ this is the ideal spot to drink in the postcard perfect vista.
Just five minutes from the famous Glendalough Round Tower, ‘An Cillín’ is the ideal place from which to explore Glendalough. We are within walking distance of the nearby award-winning Wicklow Heather Restaurant but transport to and from the restaurant can be arranged should you so desire. Petals is situated in a rural setting, yet only a five minute drive to to Greystones village and DART station. Also not far away are the towns of Bray, Dun Laoghaire and Dublin City to the north. And we are a short drive away from Glendalough, Enniskerry and the heart of the garden of Ireland - Co Wicklow. Great for country walks and seaside strolls. You’ll love my place because of the cosiness, the neighbourhood and the comfy bed. My place is good for couples and solo adventurers.
Petals is for the use of guests solely and is situated in our back garden. Guests will be able to access the room via the side passage making it convenient for coming and going. The Room has it's own toilet facilities and shower, as well as a Kitchenette with Kettle, Microwave and Fridge.
  • An address to remember, a warm Irish welcome and a nice little nest. Well connected by bus as much for Greystones, Bray or Dublin. Grace is a charming hostess. I highly recommend.

    Muriel2020-03-02T00:00:00Z
  • The place is small, but it has everything you need for your stay. It is well connected to south Dublin through N11 motorway. Grace is a great host, very responsive to all guests' needs.

    Ivan2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Grace's house is really beautiful, it is far from the center to be relaxed, but still a direct bus arrives home from the airport! I really liked the place and Grace and her husband are very friendly people! I would like to go back ☺️

    Mary2020-02-07T00:00:00Z
  • Grace is one of the best hosts i‘ve ever met. Checking-in was super easy and Petals is just lovely, really nice interior and she even got a selection of teas or cereals you can choose from. The location is also great - there‘s a bus stop 1 minute away and it takes around 1 hour to get to Dublin. Grace is extremly nice and caring, she even baked us some muffins. We just had an overall perfect experience and felt very welcome.

    Jaqueline2019-11-24T00:00:00Z
  • Perfect accommodation located close to the Wicklow mountains, and the Irish sea is not far either. Communication was great, the room clean tidy with a very comfy bed, an own bathroom and a little kitchenette area with kettle, microwave and fridge. Highly recommend.

    Sonja2019-11-17T00:00:00Z
  • We loved our two nights here! Grace and Frank are lovely and so accommodating. The space is perfect for 1-2 people. Comfortable with great amenities. Great if you rent a car though I am sure there are ways to enjoy without. We easily drove to glendalough and then into dublin city center for a night out. Would love to come back!

    Nora2019-11-02T00:00:00Z
  • Grace and Frank are invaluable hosts. If you want a great location, adorable place to stay, and thoughtful amenities, look no further. We came out to Ireland for our anniversary for two weeks. They also made the arrival and stay warm and comfortable. Grace often baked us scones and tea loafs, and always made sure the space, towels, and sheets were clean. We felt like it was our home away from home. You also cannot beat this price for this location. Two minute walk from the local bus transit. We cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond. Ireland is a magical place with kind and thoughtful people. Highly recommend!

  • A gorgeous cottage tucked away in the Wicklow countryside, perfect for a weekend escape. Tara's place offers a cosy welcome in front of the fire after a long day exploring. We would definitely stay again, thank you!

    Hal2020-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • We had a lovely relaxing stay in Tara's place. The place is very peaceful and idyllic. Lovely forest walks near by which we really enjoyed. The stove was lighting when we arrived which was so nice on cold day. Would definitely stay again.

    Shauna2020-02-23T00:00:00Z
  • Thanks so much Tara, we really enjoyed the stay. It really is a lovely barn conversion, super clean and beautiful scenery around. The only very minor thing would be the heaters in the main room working on arrival but once we got them firing, it was all good. Thanks so much for hosting.

    Gerard2020-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • Tara’s place was the perfect base for our weekend away in Wicklow! It was an easy drive to many popular places like Gelndalough, Avoca, Bray and Greystones. The cottage was beautifully situated, well furnished and very cosy for our winter stay. The kitchen had everything we needed for the time we were there. Tara was very helpful in her communication about our stay and was very accomodating. I would highly recommend Tara’s place to any couple looking for a weekend retreat in the Wicklow countryside!

    Laura2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Lovely accommodation for a relaxing weekend away! Great location, close to Brittas Bay and Glendalough. Tara was very helpful with whatever we needed.

    Emma2020-02-09T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely air bnb. Location was gorgeous. The property itself was set inside a courtyard so was private and quiet. A lovely cosy space. Tara had the heating on and the fire lighting for us on arrival, which was very much appreciated on a cold, wet day! Would recommend a stay here.

    Aoife2020-02-02T00:00:00Z
  • An oasis of calm and tranquility, we could not recommend Taras place higher for someone looking for a few days away to recharge or to explore the beautiful surroundings of Wicklow. So relaxing! The accommodation is well renovated, laid out and so welcoming. When we arrived in the evening on New Years Eve, Tara had some lights on, the fire lit and a Christmas tree up which was lit up and it was so welcoming! Also, the electric blanket was on on the bed, a cosy and warm surprise. As a host, Tara was wonderful. Any queries we had, she responded super fast and was so helpful, 10 out of 10!
