Enjoy this very comfortable flat, quietly nested between two quiet courtyards, just off Swotha Square and Patan Durbar sq. right in the heart of the beautiful historical Patan. It is a very romantic cocoon or just a wonderful base to explore the area. Perfect as well for a consulting mission (big desk)
Charming and comfortable renovated apartment in a wonderfully located and soulful Newari House. Double bed, spacious bathroom, storage space, equipped kitchen, working space… Located inside Yatachhen house, one of the first successful conservation project of Newari architecture in the Old patan. The house has been entirely renovated/ rebuilt 10 years ago with modern anti seismic method and the addition of concrete belts to assure extreme security in case of earthquake. It has paid off as the house didn't suffer of a single crack/ damage during the last earthquake that hit Nepal in April 2015. Amenities: • Kitchen: fridge, 4 ring hobs, oven, crockery, pots and pan • Attached bathroom with hot shower from storage geyser and WC • Storage space with closets and cupboards • Desk/ working space area • Electricity backup for all-day power supply • Heater in winter • Free WIFI • Free set of towels and linens changed every week • Cleaning every day • Electronic Safety Locker for storing your valuable items. Yatachhen House literally means "living in Harmony"... give it a try!
The Old Patan is a fantastic area to stay in. It is much more authentic and traditional than the tourist-spoiled places of Kathmandu/ Thamel and its concrete jungle. There are many hidden treasures to discover: hindu temples everywhere, Buddhist stupas, courtyards, secret paths, monasteries, local food spots... The vibrant local life of the Newars (the original ethnic group of the Kathmandu Valley) guarantees you a very rich cultural experience.
  • We just loved everything about Camille's place and the welcome was very relaxed and warm. Cannot wait to go back. The location is perfect! So much to discover in this neighbourhood. Just walk outside and have your own adventure!!

  • Amazing space. Wonderfully charming, quaint, and comfortable. Perfect for our time in Nepal

  • The place is absolutely amazing and charming, located in this wonderful district. We love everything about the house, the cleanliness, hospitality, the thoughtful personal guidebook and everyone that is super passionate on what they are doing. :) Will definitely return to the house on our next trip to Nepal for sure.

  • This is an amazing place to stay. The apartment was really cozy with wonderful service. I also felt the locals who worked there gave great advice about where to go and what to expect in pricing!

  • My girlfriend and I stayed at Yatachen House for 4 days at the start of August. Despite only giving the Sailesh 1 day's notice, Sailesh (Camille was on holiday in France at the time) arranged for a bus to pick us up from the airport and greeted us outside the accommodation on our arrival. Sailesh was extremely helpful and made us feel very welcome. The little guidebook that Camille and Sailesh etc provided in the rooms was excellent as it detailed many fantastic recommendations on what to do and see and where to eat and shop in the surrounding area. My girlfriend and I tried out many of these and couldn't have been more happy with the advice we received. Yatachen House was unique in the fact that it had a traditional aesthetic that had been tastefully renovated. Camille, Sailesh and Co have created a very clean and cosy living space that had all of the home comforts that we possibly could have required. It is an extremely beautiful building and it's location is perfect for anyone looking to be in the heart of Old Patan. Having spent a long time looking at places to stay in Kathmandu/ Patan, I can honestly say that I think it would be difficult to find a place that so successfully strikes the balance between Newari authenticity and modern day home comforts. We strongly encourage people to stay at Yatachen House. The house itself is stunning, you will be made to feel extremely welcome, and your hosts are very knowledgeable and passionate about the local area. Highly recommended!!!!!

  • Our stay at this beautiful Newari house was unforgettable! The images are exactly as it looks, cosy, homely, a space to just be in. We loved Patan, there is just so much to soak up in this part of Kathmandu... A true treasure trove. The hosts are all wonderful people, who made our stay even more comfortable and were always willing to give any advice or help us with any questions or suggestions. Would love to return one day!

  • My wife and I stayed with Camille and Sailesh for four nights in December 2016. It was wonderful. Great communication before we arrived, and they sent a taxi to pick us up at the airport. The room was just as it appeared on the Airbnb page. Lovely detailing, plenty of space for two people, windows on three sides of the bed, and a very lovely bathroom with great hot water. The design of the house is great, as well. We also loved staying in Patan, and highly recommend it over staying in Kathmandu proper. Patan is quieter, and we had a great time wandering it's winding streets, courtyards and very old (but still functioning) temples. Sailesh directed us to a great local food spot, and there's a fancier place for Western style breakfast just across Swotha Square. In sum, Cozy Nepal is wonderful. If you're thinking about it, don't hesitate.

  • We loved staying at Cosy, the apartment is so beautifully restored and everyone went out of their way to ensure we were comfortable. I highly recommend staying here - 5 stars. Nepal is one of the most fascinating places I have ever been and the people are incredible. We fell in love with Nepal and I am praying for the safety and recovery of this truly amazing place and its people following the earthquake.

  • Dhakhwa house is truly special. Prakash has beautifully renovated an historic Patan house right in the thick of old town Patan. Prakash has a wealth of knowledge about the area, and if you’re lucky may give you a walking tour... He and his wife are the sweetest and most hospitable - they made us feel like family and not just house guests. We would recommend anyone visiting Nepal to stay with them!

    Emilie2018-03-17T00:00:00Z
  • If you are thinking of booking this place for your stay in Nepal then please hesitate no longer! My husband and I have just spent a week at Dhakhwa House and were blown away by the quality of accommodation and service we received for the duration of our stay. The house is perfectly located to explore the beautiful area of Patan, and about 10 minutes in a taxi from the majority of the main sites in Kathmandu. The whole family are fantastic hosts who went out of their way to ensure we had the best stay possible. Not only is the home cooked food delicious but Prakash also treated us to a complimentary tour of the local area delving beneath the main tourist spots. All in all this is a perfect place to stay for a short or longer break and I would not hesitate to recommend to couples, lone travellers or indeed families! 2 very happy travellers

  • What a beautiful place and such wonderfully friendly hosts. I only have the best things to say about this place. Highly recommend!

    Emma2017-04-12T00:00:00Z
  • We feel blessed that Prakesh and his family welcomed us into their beautiful converted Newari home. We enjoyed staying in Patan very much. The area is still full of local culture and way of life. Thamel is only a short taxi ride away. Can't wait to go back!

    Valerie2014-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Camille and Co were fantastic to deal with, as was the room! Electricity and wifi were operational despite the load shedding which was a huge plus, and an electric blanket was on the bed to help deal with the cold! Patan was such a better experience than staying on Thamel, much quieter and more pleasant all around. Can't recommend this place enough!

  • It was absolutely amazing meeting Sailesh & all his friends. they made our stay so much more than expected! anything we needed or guide us to the right places. the do's & don'ts. Sailesh was your man. i'm glad to add an awesome group of friends. The house is as expected cozy and beautiful, meeting Prakash & family was like meeting my own with all the love and respect. and hope we haven't caused any inconvenience to your family Prakash. the house is located in the heart of the city. not sure about the street outside but the house from the inside is beautiful. and in old Patan away from all the hustle of Thamel. if you are looking for a cozy stay and visit the culture this is the place for you.

  • Prakesh, our host, was a lovely man. So happy and helpful everyday, he really went out of his way to make us feel at home. The property is just as described. If anything it is more beautiful than the pictures show. That combined with the amazing historic neighbourhood and Prakesh's restoration of the building with renewable energies really made this the best place I have stayed. I would be happy to come back, and am definitely planning to stay here again.

Stay at safe and clean place during your stay in Kathmandu! Dirty, dangerous and noisy Thamel? Or Patan where is far, far away from the city center? Lazimpat is popular residential area for both foreign and wealthy local people because of its very clean, quiet, convenient and safe environment. The city center, Durbar Marg and Thamel, is all located in walking distance. Convenient location, safe and quiet area, super clean house with beautiful garden and good foods, any reason to hesitate? ;)
  • Beautiful villa, great room! I felt comfortable and safe. Had everything I needed. Wifi works really well! Great location. Clean space. Chuck was so very nice and makes a great breakfast, and the lunch and dinner options are fantastic!

Welcome to this unique get-away in a natural paradise. Here you can rest immersed in peace & calm, with epic views of the lake. The large secluded bedroom is built around a huge ancient rock. We're 3km from Pokhara (aka Gateway to the Himalaya).
A getaway from hectic lifestyles, fast technology, city-life and work. Come enjoy the back-to-basics feel of this space, commune with nature and rediscover the paradise of a simple lifestyle. It's a perfect retreat for couples, writers, artists or musicians who would like an inspiring, creative space to work on a project (also great for meditation, yoga & healing practices). The enormous bedroom has a rustic feel, in part because it was constructed around a gigantic rock carried down from the Himalaya thousands of years ago. The home was hand-built using local craftsman in a traditional style, with the addition of huge windows overlooking the lake and surrounding hills. (Note: another single bed can be added for a child at no extra cost.) Our favorite part of the home, where we spend most time is on the veranda - the highlight is the hammock! It's cliched to say the views are breath-taking, so let's say they are breath-giving: let the Himalayan air rejuvenate your body, mind and spirit. The private kitchen is equipped with a double gas hob, mini-fridge, pots, pans & other basic utensils. There's often the option of buying fresh buffalo milk and curd from the neighbors. Other neighbors can deliver organic, seasonable vegetables for the kitchen. Running water comes fresh from a nearby spring, carrying the goodness of Himalayan minerals (however if you would prefer to drink bottled water, this can also be arranged. There is also a water filter!). Many organic vegetables and herbs grow in the garden & you are welcome to respectfully help yourself to what is available (you can see some examples from monsoon season in the photos). The private bathroom has a western toilet and hot shower (from gas). This home is the perfect distance from Pokhara lakeside. The 3km trip can be enjoyed as a walk along the lake passing through villages, or scooters, motorbikes and bicycles can also be arranged in the village. Fantastic local restaurant serving fresh, delicious Nepali & Western food 400m (around 10 minutes walk) from home. This is an exotic experience to remember forever! Attention please: in our place there are many frogs and insects, as fire flies, butterflies, big spiders too! Please note the name Nature Home Retreat is a nature home, as the name says!
The Nepali neighbors are friendly & welcoming of foreigners. Most can't speak more than a few words of English but will gratefully receive a smile & 'namaste'. The locals make their living from the land & work in their fields. It's a relaxing, peaceful & quiet environment.
  • I was sad to say goodbye to this beautiful part of the world. A secluded homestay with beautiful views. A once in a life time opportunity to experience life lived in the Nepali village, by the Lake. Thank you & Namaste.

  • Wonderful home and a beautiful, peaceful space to get some writing done or just to get away from the bustle of Nepal's cities and towns. The house is even nicer than the pictures/description and was far less "rustic" than I expected. Comfy bed, nice little kitchen, great hammock, and lots of places to read and write. And only a short walk from a number of local restaurants. David (Mukti's husband) and Rishi (the property manager) were hospitable and helpful, and I can't say enough good things about my two weeks here!

    Alexis2016-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • It was one if the most importent experience I had in Nepal ! The Natur Home is awsome ! I love the harmony of this Place and the neighbours are super friendly, there are a lot of insects outside of the house but this is just normal. The why goining up to the house from the street might be little Heavy but the neighbour boy helpt us with ouer luggage. I enjoyed the stay and I slept soooo well in this bed the candle at night give everything a very special athmospere I would go there again ! I love it !

    Sara2016-08-10T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Mukti's place is magic. You really live in a unspoiled local village and be part of a lively community in happy village. Rishi and his families are the most welcoming host and they provides me tons of info about the area and even guided me to a hike to see the Himalayas! The house itself is beyond special, I arrived when the beautiful orange flowers hanging down from the roof as a natural curtain, breathtaking :) so sad to have to leave.

    Summer(Wenchao)2017-02-01T00:00:00Z
  • Splendid living - the best place to stay if you look for something extra in Pokhara! The house is situated a 30 minute walk (or 15 minutes by taxi/bus) outside of town, but the village is more quiet and the surroundings are truly beautiful. We loved the view from the porch & lakeside restaurants like Krishnas Kitchen & Samay. The walk up to the house is also a nice 7-min walk. The caretaker Richi is really helpful and great to have around when needed. It's also possible to get local vegetables, curd etc which is a treat.

    Johanna2017-02-20T00:00:00Z
  • Nature Home Retreat is every bit as beautiful as the pictures. The place is secluded and swimming with butterflies in a gorgeous garden. The neighbors were so welcoming and invited me over for dinner a few times. Not too difficult to find, the directions were very clear and the walk into town is easy and only takes about 40 mins along the lake. All in all, very happy to have spent some time here, perfect place to relax, read, write and just generally forget about the world. Definitely investing in a hammocks when I get home too, though it won't have quite the same view. Thank you Mukti for sharing this beautiful place!

    Caitlin2016-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Great place to stay if you’re looking to seclude yourself away from society and into nature. It’s pretty far from everything so you’ll have to bring an abundance of groceries and insect repellents to minimize long trips down to the village or around 800 rupees for city runs. A cute place with an astonishing view of rice fields and phewa lake. You’ll also be welcomed by warming visitors throughout the day such as dogs who may come hang out with you (we had one that stayed with us for a whole day and night and we really enjoyed his company) or the infamous “vegetable man” who brings you delicious local vegetables (like bananas, garlic, onions) and eggs.

    Demy2018-08-23T00:00:00Z
  • Mukti's place was set in a lovely location. Really secluded and stunning views of surrounding mountains and paragliders. The hammock is super nice to chill on after a long day. There are quite a lot of bugs - spiders, slugs, lizards but this is quite clearly stated on the airbnb post so if those aren't to your liking, then this probably isn't the place for you! We really liked it besides from a few communication issues with the host's manager (the hosts are overseas and someone else looks after the place and guests). There is also quite a steep hike up to the property but the hike is necessary in order to provide the isolation from the main street.

A small room with attached bathroom, in the heart of old Patan. Book there if you want to enjoy an authentic Newari House
Small bedroom (single occupancy only) with modern bathroom and access to a friendly family kitchen. The room is located in a restored old Newari House. A good value for money and the chance of living in Prakash and Premila’s place in the old Patan! !! Low ceilings . If you are tall you may not want to book here for a long period !! Please note that the room is located next to the family/ shared kitchen: wonderful for a lively experience and to get to meet your hosts and other guests but be aware that it is not the quietest room of our listings.
The Old Patan is a fantastic area to stay in. It is much more authentic and traditional than the tourist-spoiled places of Kathmandu and its concrete jungle. There are many hidden treasures to discover: hindu temples, Buddhist stupas, courtyard, secret paths, monasteries, local food spots... • I had a wonderful two nights at this residence quietly tucked away from the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. The hosts were especially welcoming and ensured I had a pleasant stay throughout. I enjoyed the seamless communication, and the multi-course breakfast that was a filling and delicious way to start the day. I would certainly stay here again.

  • Great host, great place, great communication, the place was exactly what I was looking for. It was a pleasure staying at the place and enjoying the hospitality.

    Nikolaus2018-01-07T00:00:00Z
  • Such an amazing home and family to stay with on our first trip to Nepal. The Newari House was traditional with modern touches that helped make our stay extremely comfortable. Camille is such a lovely host along with Prakash and all the others that were involved in making our trip unforgettable. The area that the house is in is a beautiful, traditional district riddled with temples and amazing places to have food and shop for souvenirs. It's only a short taxi ride to Thamel where we spent some of our nights out. Camille helped us organize many of our adventures in Nepal including a flight around Mt. Everest. Her extensive experience and knowledge of Kathmandu helped us be more organized and create an itinerary for our stay once we got there. Everyone involved in the Newari House experience went above and beyond he call of duty to make our stay unforgettable and magical. A perfect place to stay in a wonderful country!

  • The Patan area is very interesting. Many historical properties are being restored including Durbar Square which is currently a huge restoration project. There are several good cafes, a great bakery and good gift shops. To stay in one of these old Newari houses really is a treat. The Dhakhwa house has been carefully restored to blend the old with the new in a very complimentary way. The house looks into an internal courtyard which has the advantage of making it very quiet and not dusty. My hosts Prakash and Pramila were so helpful. Fabulous company and good fun. A real family house with friends coming and going made it so relaxing, I was made to feel one of the family. Pramila's cooking is wonderful. A real authentic taste of Nepali food, so delicious . I would stay there anytime, and I miss them already!!!!!!!

    Dee2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Marvelous experience in all aspects. It was a bit hard to find the place at first, but once we found it, we were in the midst of amazing part of town of Patan. Walkable distance to wonderful shops and restaurants as well as the relics. We were about 6 people on business trip, lucky enough to have booked both Yakachan and Dwaka house. We got to use the common kitchen for our small meetings, and the staffs provided support that exceeded our expectations in every way. The house is beautifully decorated; Yakachan with a bit more of modernness and Dwakwa a marvel with its traditional charms. Its clean and convenient on top of it all. Its also great to be among the community of residents, as we were lucky enough to take part in the festival celebration (momos and local drinks!) I miss Kathmandu already, and i can confidently say the lot of the credit goes to camille and Salesh and the team! Thank you! Will come again!

    Jieun2017-07-22T00:00:00Z
  • The place is very quiet and cozy. There is a nice roof to hangout and catch on a cigarette break. The shower is fantastic considering the constant water shortage in Nepal! The hosts are super nice and welcoming, definitely a great experience!

  • sailesh&camille are nice host.they treat us kindly.Even though my poor English, They are too much patient to help me to visit.the breakfast in Swotha Cafe is the best in Patan.I miss the roof I can see the local view, nearby patan museum &dubar square , good location,5 Stars service !

  • I enjoyed my stay here~ The room was very nice, with a unique artistic touch. I really like the mix of traditional and modern in the architecture. The location is ideal in Patan, walking distance to many great places. I really appreciated the pamphlet and map provided with all their favorite spots--I went to many of them! Earlier in my trip, I stayed at their other location, the Dhakhwa house, and found that staff at both places are very helpful and friendly.

    Audrey2018-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had a great stay at Camille's and woyld definitely highly recommend it to anyone. The place was lovely and cosy, away from all the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu city. Very clean - it was cleaned everyday. We also found the staff very friendly and welcoming - they always had a smile on their face. What we found extremely helpful was the little guide book that they provided which had a list of places to visit in Patan to places to eat and even a tip on how much taxi fares to specific places cost. I would definitely go back again and would highly recommend it to my friends and family.

  • It was everything amazing. The rooftop is soncozy and a beatiful and friendly place to stay.

  • Absolutely perfect. A taste of living like a local, but with all the convenience & privacy of a hotel. The location is A+. How could you not want to stay just steps away from history. The area is extremely safe and chalk full of charm and culture. The facility, from reception area, to kitchen to the actual rooms are very clean and comfortable. I always have power, hot water and strong internet connections despite the rolling black outs that Kathmandu/Patan enforces. The roof top terrace was a joy to relax on with my morning cup of masala tea and incense. It was my home away from home.

    Toni2014-04-29T00:00:00Z
  • A great apartment with a great location! The apartment was clean and Camille was friendly and helpful! Less than a 5 minute walk to some to the main sights of Patan. Lots of places to eat in the area.

  • I had my best time in my little roof terrace studio. Camille, Nico and Jiten and all people in the house, were very helpful and friendly. I felt like home. The old Newari House is an outstanding location and I enjoyed my real good Himalayan Coffee at the little Tea house just in front of the entrance to the Newari House. My every day talk with Lolita, the owner of the grocery store just at the opposite of "my" house or Bikash from the Tea house, was like talking to good friends and neighbors. I will come back as soon as I can. Thanks to you all. Merci beaucoup et a toute à l'heure ! Angelika

Bathroom has bathtub as well as steam bath. Very near from the airport and Baudhanath and Pasupatinath Temples.
    Very quite and safe.
  • Suman’s apartment is lovely, with nice decor and big (albeit incredibly hard) beds. Saraswati who runs the place was very helpful and friendly, and will make chai, cook any meal and do laundry if you ask. It is not central to Kathmandu itself where traffic is a serious issue, but is a mere 10/15 minute walk from our favorite spot: the Boudha Stupa, and the Shree Pashupatinath Temple.

  • We were very delighted to stay in this wonderful house of Suman. Its clean, quite and serine. Its located very conveniently, very close to public transport, restaurant and religious and cultural heritage sites. Moreover, the beautiful and green garden gives a sense of peace. The hospitality of the hostess was on the top who made the stay more joyful. And the Sarswati ji the care taker is awesome. We were so delighted, we extended our stay by one more week. We will certainly stay here every time we come to Nepal

  • Excellent house and an excellent host. Heartily recommend. Amazing and beautiful place to stay. No noise or dust. Very close to public transportation and Highly satisfied with my stay at Suman's place. The place is kept very clean and the garden is maintained very well. Suman was always available and prompt to respond to questions. Care taker staff at the house were also very helpful. I can definitely say that this place is a rare find. Thank you for the wonderful stay. Saraswati is an wonderful house keeper and cooked our meals during the stay in Nepal. Not only that but did our laundry and cleaned daily. She is a 6 out of 6 star person. Highly recommend the location is perfect for exploring the locals area of kathmandu, walk to the boudhanath and pashupatinath and return from what can be an overwhelming city to the seclusion of the garden or the light and spacious rooms inside.

  • simply a fantastic host, a brilliant location, a gorgeous setting, and unbeatable care and communication... the location is perfect for exploring the locals area of kathmandu, walk to the boudhanath and pashupatinath and return from what can be an overwhelming city to the seclusion of the garden or the light and spacious rooms inside. whatever you do make sure that you employ saraswati... she is a gem, the best decision you’ll make besides booking here is to purchase groceries and ask her to cook for you, plead, beg, or just be extra nice. the results of her kitchen is just lovely, she will be sorely missed. namaste

  • We stayed at Nirvana from 25, November 2018 to 01, December 2018 at the beautiful place Nirvana, in Kathmandu, Nepal. It was a pleasant stay. We received great help from Saraswati, who is a good problem solver if you have any. She arranged an SUV for our pick up and drop off from and to the Airport. She cooked very good vege.food for us 4 persons. She was buying groceries and Vegetables for us. Her speciality is preparing very good Tea and Coffey and break fast , Lunch and dinner of our choice. Served exactly at our pre decided time. You cannot find a better local host than her. She helps Suman in taking real good care of the guests! Suman is a real great host. We recommend "Nirvana" place to stay in Kathmandu, Nepal - A God's country. Mr. & Mrs. Niyogi Sugar Land, Texas, USA

This bright and comfortable double bedroom with attached bathroom is the perfect base to explore the Old Patan and Kathmandu Valley. You can also enjoy the full use of a very well appointed common kitchen/ living room as well as a washing machine
Very bright double bedroom located inside Yatachhen House, one of the first project of heritage conservation of an old Newari House in the historical part of Patan. The house has been assessed by structural engineers and later used as emergency housing solutions for United Nation Staff after the event. Amenities: • Attached bathroom with modern shower and WC. Hot water from storage geyser • Common kitchen/ living room to chill out or cook your own meals • Washing machine • Electricity backup for all-day power supply • Free WIFI • Gas heater in winter • Free set of towels and linens changed every week • Cleaning twice per week • Electronic Safety Locker for storing your valuable items. Fabulous location: The house is quietly nested behind Swotha square, a few meters away from the magical Patan Durbar Square. To resume : • Situated in the heart of Patan historical city center (Swotha Square) • Quietly nested inside a courtyard (no noise from the road!) • Less than 100m away from Durbar Square and the Golden Temple • 500m away from Patan Doka (Patan’s gate) Yatachhen House literally means "living in Harmony"... give it a try!
  • Both the building and the room were so cozy and lovely. All the staff were very helpful and welcoming. The rooftop terrace was a great place to hang out. Location was great - a very quick walk from beautiful Durbar Square. I would definitely stay here again.

  • Very nice place, perfectly located, well furnished, with all you need for a perfect stay. Camille was here when arrived, showed us the apartment and answered all our questions. Perfect place to stay in Patan!

  • My friend and I rented this beautiful room for the last two days of our tour of Nepal. Although it seems more expensive comparative to other overnight possibilities, this apartment is completely worth it and the people hosting make you feel at home! The Room: The bed and duvet are incredibly comfortable. The shower has hot water. The bathroom provides two towels, soap and toilet paper. There is WiFi and a back-up power source for charging mobiles and turning on lights. If you are new to traveling Nepal, I mention this because it seems that these simple luxuries are optional. Nepal has timed electricity, where it is frequently off, and therefore cold showers with one laundered towel for two people does happen. The room itself is part of a larger building, but does not have a room to the left or right of itself. Both sides have windows that open up to quiet courtyards, and the cross-breeze is nice. Up one or two flights is the rooftop, a great place to relax. Below is the communal kitchen which we used. The kitchen has a stove top, sink, and fridge, plus everything need to cook and serve. There is also a washing machine for laundry, but plan ahead as everyone air dries their clothes in the sun. The Location: The room is within a short distance of Patan Durbar Square (my favorite area of Kathmandu Valley), and the surrounding historic district. There are plenty of shops, cafes, restaurants and taxis at hand. We loved walking out of the building into the bustling center of Patan, which, by the way, walking is the best way to explore the area. It is such a great neighborhood! The hosts were wonderful. We were greeted upon arrival, and daily thereafter as we entered or left our building. On our last day, we had help arranging a driver, and were lent the use of a local phone. For this we were incredibly appreciative. I highly recommend this place, and would visit again, perhaps using one of their long term rentals as well (Website hidden by Airbnb)

  • Camille and Co were the coolest and the most welcoming of hosts. And the room looks exactly the same in person as it appears on photos and it surely is rather cosy indeed. If you are looking for a fantastic view out of the window, this is not the place for you. But if you want to blend in with the people of the Patan area and live like a local commuting through the back alleys of the historic city, this is simply perfect for you. The house was renovated rather recently, but it blew our minds that it was close to 400 years old. There are plenty of good spots to eat from. The Patan Durbar Square is about 50 yards away from the house and inside the museum premises you will find a hidden restaurant with the most amazing garden which will make you feel as if you are in Central Europe. Patan area is famous for its arts and crafts. If you like collecting stuff as souvenirs, you will be surely spoilt for choice. People of the area are always willing to welcome you with a "Namaste" wherever you go. Don't forget to sit with Prakash for a traditional Nepali meal and some Nepali Rice Liquor. Ask Camille to arrange it for you and you will be treated by Prakash and his family to a wonderful native dining experience at his place. Prakash was wonderful enough to give us a guided tour of the back alleys and some unique and historic places of the area where he grew up in, which was an experience by itself. If you love traveling and experiencing different cultures, staying here is something you should definitely do once in your lifetime.

  • Great people and comfortable rooms. It's exactly what you see in the photos with great service to go with it. I highly recommend.

  • Sailesh, Camille and everyone were such lovely hosts. The home is part of a beautiful Nawari family home complex in Patan. The wings that guests stay in are newer, but retain the feeling of the rest. Another part of the complex includes a wing that is over 400 years old. I deeply appreciated the cosyness of the room and the whole house, the appreciation and mindfulness of environmental concerns yet access to electricity and warm water in a city where those are super unreliable. It was wonderful to have such a place to land in Nepal, to be able to cook, and get re-oriented. As other guests said, even though the cost is on the higher end, we found it very worth it.

    Kristen2016-01-05T00:00:00Z
  • Camille and Sailesh were perfect AirBnB hosts welcoming and helpful. The shared kitchen and terrace spaces are both great, the kitchen is well equipped having at least 2 coffee pots (an important thing for caffeine addicts like myself. We really enjoyed our stay in Nepal and are already talking about a return visit. The area around the house has a few little shops and market stalls selling everything you need to cook basic meals.

    Tim2016-02-29T00:00:00Z
  • Its location in the heart of heritage Patan Durbar Square, the friendly help and gracious hospitality Camille offers, cleanliness and the attached well equipped kitchen make it an ideal place to stay in Kathmandu if you're there for a week or so and keen on learning first-hand about Newari lived culture. Far better than the milling crowds of tourists at Thamel and truly value for money.

Part of Ananya Apartments, this solar-powered soundproof apartment is in Thamel, Kathmandu. Two Bedrooms, two Bathrooms, Full Kitchen & Living/Dining area. Very close to nightlife, restaurants, pubs/bars, shopping & entertainment. This is a stunning space inside a beautiful Neo Classical/Newar fusion building. Ample light, lots of space, bay windows, ideal location with all modern comforts. Good value for money, ideal for couples, friends, business travelers, and families.
Thamel is the main tourist hub of Kathmandu, Nepal. The streets are teeming with life. But it can also be a bit noisy. That's why our apartment has double windows for soundproofing – probably the only apartment in Thamel with this feature. Using high end imported materials, the soundproofing is more than adequate for a peaceful stay inside (100% soundproofing is not possible). But that's just the start. This amazing apartment is on the second floor of a beautiful Neo Classical / Newari fusion building. The two bedrooms have two classic bay windows and seating so that you can observe life as it happens in Thamel without the dust and noise! It also has a spacious Living/Dining area with all amenities and a fully functional kitchen. Our apartment is not part of a hotel or a serviced apartment. It is simply, a fully furnished apartment for rent. Therefore our spaces are generous – a precious commodity in cramped Thamel! Instead of booking two puny hotel rooms, you could spend some quality time at our 800 sq. ft. two-bedroom apartment. The Building The current building (built in 2010), a neo-classical and Newari fusion, was constructed in the same spot and in the same design spirit of an old house commissioned by my grandfather over a 100 years ago. The building is designed by Nepal's top architect, Mr. Arun Pant and constructed by an ‘A' class company. It has been designed to withstand massive earthquakes. The building suffered no damage after the devastating earthquake of April 2015. A thorough check by structural engineers revealed no damage at all. The ground floor of the building houses four shops catering to tourists. You can buy Cashmere shawls, Kashmiri handicraft and metal crafts. I'm sure they will give you a good discount if you mention that you stay above ☺ The first floor house a travel agency, the second floor is this two-bedroom apartment. The third floor is another 2BHK Apartment listed on Airbnb as "Neo Modern 2BHK Thamel Apartment". On the top two floors is a beautiful contemporary two-bedroom penthouse also listed on Airbnb as "Contemporary 2BHK Thamel Penthouse." Bedrooms The air-conditioned bedrooms have queen size double bed, large comfortable mattress, wardrobe, study table/chair, compressed wood parquet flooring and bathroom with running hot/cold water, western style WC, hand-held toilet spray. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom while the second bedroom has an adjoining bathroom. Kitchen The kitchen has all the amenities you would require to prepare any meal. It is intelligently designed to enable you to cook, store and clean in as little time as possible. Items in the Kitchen: • 4-ring gas hob • Gas cylinders • Induction Cooker • Exhaust Hood • Storage cabinets • French Press • Water Jar and Dispenser • Fridge • Samsung Microwave • Toaster • Crockery • Wine Glasses • Beer Glasses • Coffee Mugs • Cutlery • Cooking Utensils • Ingredient and food containers • Hot water heater/dispenser Living / Dining Area The open Living / Dining area (air-conditioned) has a large bank of windows on the west side which lets in a ton of light and plenty of afternoon sunshine. The windows can also be fully shaded by rolling down the blinds. The dining table with a hanging dome light provides a great atmosphere to chitchat with family or guests over dinner and wine. You can also unwind on the comfortable sofa and watch a great movie or catch the latest news on the TV that has a satellite connection with over 70 channels including most of the popular news, entertainment and sports programming. Amenities: We have invested in Solar Panels and large Batteries as back up to run most things within the apartment. The back up power enables lights in Living/Dining Area, Kitchen, Bedrooms and Bathrooms. It also powers the Wi-Fi, TV, Satellite TV, DVD, Fridge and almost all power sockets. Installed Units/Amenities: • Solar Water Panels and Storage Tank • Solar Panel and Battery Based Electricity Back Up • 32" Flat Panel Samsung LED TV • Satellite TV with all major news, sports and entertainment channels • Music System • Philips DVD Player • 5 MBPS Fibre Optic Wi-Fi • Samsung Washing Machine • Iron / Iron Board • Hair Dryer and Basic Toiletries • Mosquito Repellent Units • Yoga Mat
Overview The apartment building is within the core Thamel area and on the main street. It is also accessible by taxi, which is how you get here the first time with your luggage. But later we encourage you to get off at the main Thamel entrance and walk a few minutes to the apartment and take in the spirit of the lively tourist hub. Step out of the Apartment courtyard and you're right in the middle of the action. Street lined eclectic shops, multi cuisine restaurants, travel agents, trekking agents, spas and bars are right outside. Yet up on the 2nd floor with big soundproof windows (not 100% obviously) you feel you're worlds away from the hustle and bustle.
  • We had a wonderful time staying in Subu and Mala's beautiful apartment, situated in the heart of Thamel. The flat is just as it appears in the photos on the Airbnb website (if not better!): light, airy, clean and minimalist, but well-equipped and with many thoughtful touches, such as new toiletries (including razor, toothbrush, toothpaste and shampoo sachets), a basket of apples and a delightful 'welcome' card. There is also an extensive instruction manual containing all the information one could need. It is indeed quiet, despite its busy neighbourhood, and overlooks the garden of a welcoming little cafe behind. Our hosts had taken the time and trouble to meet us in person, which was a real pleasure, and they were also quick to respond to emails. Mala even kindly rang us to check that all was well. Thank you, Subu and Mala, for a wonderful stay; we can't wait to return!

    Fiona2016-04-15T00:00:00Z
  • I had a great stay at Subu and Mala's apartment! The apartment is absolutely gorgeous and is in a great location in Thamel. Since the apartment is solar-powered, we had electricity even when the city power was off, which was really nice! The internet speed was also great. The apartment is within walking distance of tons of restaurants and shops in Thamel. I didn't have a chance to meet Subu and Mala while I was there, but they were extremely responsive whenever I had questions for them. I would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who is visiting Kathmandu for work or vacation. I hope to return again soon!

  • Perfect place to stay in Thamel. An awesome location, clean and comfortable, and very easy directions from the hosts. I arrived at 1am after a lengthy time getting out of the airport, and Mala still answered the phone and gave my taxi driver directions which was so beyond what I was expecting! I would come back no question!

    Kim2018-10-10T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment was perfect: big, bright, clean with lots of accessories like washing machine etc, and right in the middle of everything you would need when staying in Kathmandu. Communication with Subu and Mala was professional. I would definitely stay here again whenever I come back to Kathmandu. Thanks for the great stay in a great city!

  • This was my second time staying at Subu and Mala's place-- and once again I found that they were welcoming and truly responsive. They provided me with all of the information I needed to truly feel at home at their awesomely appointed and located apartment. It's a great feeling to head to a place knowing that the apartment is super conveniently located, comfortable, and cute, AND that the hosts are this accessible, friendly, and helpful.

  • I have stayed at several Airbnb's, and Subu and Mala's place is one of the nicest. The apartment was super clean, well supplied, and centrally located. Subu and Mala take hosting to a new level-- they offered incredibly complete and detailed information about the apartment, quick replies to queries via text, and they had set up the apartment with both an awareness of the needs of travelers and a lovely design aesthetic. I hope to stay here again at some point: very, very highly recommended.

Located in Dhakhwa House in the heart of Old Patan, the flexible unit (2 bedrooms, one bathroom) will be your get away from the bustle of Kathmandu. It is a great base to discover the valley and enjoy the Newari hospitality of Prakash and Pramila. Be aware the low ceiling!
Flexible Unit: two rooms and one bathroom, all linked together (all private!). Ideal for a family with kids or for three friends travelling together. Perfect setting to share the same accommodation while remaining independents. !! Low ceilings . If you are very tall you may not want to book here for a long period !! It is located in a restored old Newari house called Dhakhwa House, in the heart of the historical center of Patan, very close to Durbar Square, Nag Bahal and the Golden Temple.
The Old Patan is a fantastic area to stay in. It is much more authentic and traditional than the tourist-spoiled places of Kathmandu/ Thamel and its concrete jungle. • Patan is an amazing neighborhood and Dhakwa house is fits this neighborhood perfect with it's classic style. Prakesh and Pramilla (your hosts that live downstairs) must be the nicest people in Nepal, and if you've been to Nepal, one thing you notice very quickly is that Nepali people are very nice. The house was very clean with every necessity in it. It is stylish and comfortable. Hosts and location, great.

  • Dhakhwa house has a cosy vibe with beautiful rooms and is easily accessible to the localities in Patan!

    Han Xin2018-01-26T00:00:00Z
  • Had a lovely stay at Dhakwa House - our first Airbnb experience in Nepal and was a memorable one at that! Great family and always helpful - even made us a simple breakfast every morning before we were off to work. The building was lovely and internet was reliable to finish our work at night. Do note the ceilings are a little low since this is a traditional Nepali home - so mind your head :)

    Kristin2017-04-30T00:00:00Z
  • We were so thrilled to be able to share and experience living with a warmnepali family in the comfort of their beautiful Newari home located in Patan. Prakash & his family were vet welcoming from our arrival right up till our departure. Upon our arrival, my gf was down with a very bad cold & Premila offered her a bowl of hot lentil soup which was delicious! The room which we stayed in was very spacious and clean. More importantly, we finally had a good hot shower with decent water pressure. The only thing which wasn't working well during our 3 day visit was probably the Wi-Fi connection. Mind you, if you are above 6 feet tall, you might want to consider an alternative room with a higher ceiling, otherwise, it might be a tad uncomfortable...especially if you are planning a long term stay. Overall,we loved every bit of our stay at patan & we'll definitely revisit the family upon our next trip to Nepal.

    Stan2013-11-10T00:00:00Z
  • This is a gem in Kathmandu's Patan area. The proprietors could not have been nicer or more helpful. 100% recommended!

    Steve2016-12-23T00:00:00Z
  • Staying with Prakash and Premila and their family at the Dhakhwa House in Patan is nothing like staying in a guesthouse. It's more like being adopted by their family and being a part of their family. The location of the Dhakhwa House is superb. I cannot imagine following the hoards of tourists in Kathmandu and spending unnecessary prolonged period time in the madness that is Thamel !!! Prakash and his family are SUPERB hosts who would go the extra mile for their house guests. We thoroughly enjoyed the walk down Patan's medieval alleys with Prakash who knows Patan like the back of his hand. We call him "Patan's human GPS". No … That's an unfair description … He's tons better than that !!! For no GPS would take the trouble to walk us to the compound of the Living Goddess and introduce us to the Kumari and her family. And even after waving us off as we checked out of Dhakwa House for our journey home, he was at the other end of the phone to help us sort out the unfortunate task of dealing with the malevolent custom officer at the airport with the patience of a Saint. All-in-all, our stay in Kathmandu surpassed all our pre-departure expectations, thanks to our Airbnb experience. We left with a heavy heart and we knew, for sure, that we will be back at the Dhakwa House. p.s. Camille has been a big help with the communication prior to our arrival. Merci !

  • This place is located in a friendly and quiet neighbourhood where shops and attractions are all in walking distance. Prakash and his family are very welcoming and always keen to provide recommendations and assist with our needs. The building itself is a heritage of at least a hundred years old, while the rooms we stayed in is reconstructed and furnished nicely with a homely vibe. Highly recommend Dhakhwa House to anyone who’s travelling in Kathmandu or Patan.

  • We enjoyed our stay here a lot! We had a warm welcome by Sailesh. They have made a booklet with nice tips for places to go to. The small house has a lot of privacy with a nice patio and an open kitchen in the patio. It is an oasis in the middle of Patan. Its bet and bathroom are luxury too! I recommend you to stay here! I have been 3 months in Nepal and this is definitely a good pick!

  • again a lovely stay with cosy Nepal!

    Sam2018-03-22T00:00:00Z
  • We could not have curated a more perfect space. The location, decor, and the tiny touches make the house incredible. But the hosts are really what made our trip so special: Camille and co made arriving in Nepal effortless and memorable. Their local tips guided our every move. Thank you!

  • I arrived planning only to stay two nights and ended up booking the place for the whole month. Cozy Nepal is aptly named. It is an oasis within the chaotic city of Patan. You escape the noise and cacophony and enter a serene courtyard. Being away from Los Angeles for so long I missed the little luxuries, and that is exactly what I found here. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a home away from home. Special thanks to Prakash, Camille, Sohan, Sailesh, and Nigen.

Part of Ananya Apartments, this solar-powered Penthouse is in Thamel, Kathmandu. Two Bedrooms, 2 Bathrooms, Full Kitchen, Living Area & 2 Terraces. Very close to nightlife, restaurants, pubs/bars, shopping & entertainment. A modern, minimalist haven inside a beautiful Neo Classical/Newar fusion building. Ample light, lots of space, ideal location & includes all modern comforts. Great value for money, ideal for couples, friends, business travelers, and families.
Overall Space My wife and I intended our two-bedroom Apartment to be a place where we could spend time with family and friends. It was lovingly put together to suit our contemporary tastes. Real wood was used for flooring and we installed floor to ceiling sliding door/windows to take advantage of light and draw in ample sunshine. We expect guests to really enjoy the space. Eat breakfast on the sunny 4th floor terrace or savor a great lunch on the rustic but sturdy dining table or enjoy dinner and drinks with friends/family in the Living/Dining area. Its all possible. Our apartment is not part of a hotel or a serviced apartment. We're simply, a fully furnished apartment for rent. Therefore we have not squeezed everything into maximizing the number of rooms to increase revenue. Here in our apartment what you get is plenty of space – a precious commodity in cramped Thamel! Instead of booking two puny hotel rooms, you could spend some quality time at our 1300 sq. ft. (including two terraces) two-bedroom apartment. But be aware that because it is a tourist district, there will be some road traffic and ambient noise. Building The current building (built in 2010), a neo-classical and Newari fusion, was constructed in the same spot and in the same design spirit of an old house commissioned by my grandfather over a 100 years ago. I'm sure they will give you a good discount if you mention that you stay on the top floor ☺ The first floor house a travel agency, the second floor is also a two-bedroom apartment listed on Airbnb as "Soundproof 2BHK Thamel Apartment." The third floor is another 2BHK Apartment listed on Airbnb as "Neo Modern 2BHK Thamel Apartment". The apartment is on the 4th and 5th floors of the building. There are no other floors above the 5th floor of the apartment. Bedrooms The air-conditioned 4th floor master bedroom has a queen size double bed, full size wardrobe, real wood flooring and an en suite bathroom with running hot/cold water, western style WC, hand-held toilet spray as well as an electric geyser. The air-conditioned 5th floor bedroom is connected via a small internal real wood staircase. It has a custom-made queen size bed, a study table, a wardrobe, real wood flooring a connecting bathroom with running hot/cold water, western style WC and hand-held toilet spray. The bedroom has a full bank of sliding aluminum windows facing east and south. Suffice to say, it's like an eagle's nest with sunshine and natural light streaming in all day. It is a perfect place to coop up the entire day with a paperback thriller. Kitchen A few steps up after entering the apartment leads you to an open kitchen with a cute breakfast bar. The kitchen has all the amenities you would require to prepare most meals. It is intelligently designed to enable you to cook, store and clean in as little time as possible. Items in the Kitchen: • 4-ring gas hob • Gas cylinders (located on a ledge outside kitchen) • Induction Cooker • Exhaust Hood • Storage cabinets • French Press • Water Jar and Dispenser • Fridge • Microwave • Toaster • Crockery • Wine Glasses • Beer Glasses • Coffee Mugs • Cutlery • Cooking Utensils • Ingredient and food containers • Hot water heater/dispenser Living / Dining Area Adjoining the kitchen is our favourite area – the Living and Dining area (air-conditioned) is where we like to spend most of our time while in the apartment. There are two huge banks of floor to ceiling sliding aluminum door/windows on the south and west sides which lets in a ton of light and plenty of sunshine. The windows can also be fully shaded by rolling down the bamboo blinds. The entire floor is also made of real wood. The rustic dining table and benches are made from old reclaimed pinewood that has a great deal of character. The sofa set is styled on the classic Corbusier sofas but made locally by non-sofa craftsmen. The coffee table is made of actual 100-year-old wooden beams cut to size. A modern Tibetan rug frames the area. Terraces There are two terraces. The 4th floor terrace is a smaller terrace perfect for stepping out of the Living/Dining area for a breather. You could also lean your elbows on the retaining wall and observe life as it happens in Thamel below. The 5th floor terrace is larger and wraps around the bedroom. It is great for a small get together. It affords great views towards the western hills surrounding the valley and you can catch a great sunset almost everyday in the winter. Both terraces have terracotta tiled floors. Amenities: We have invested in Solar Panels and large Batteries as back up to run most things within the apartment. The back up power enables lights in Living/Dining Area, Kitchen, Bedrooms, Internal Staircase, Terraces and Bathrooms. It also powers the Wi-Fi, TV, Satellite TV, DVD, Fridge and almost all power sockets. Installed Units/Amenities: • Solar Water Panels and Storage Tank • Solar Panel and Battery Based Electricity Back Up • 32" Flat Panel LED TV • Satellite TV with all major news, sports and entertainment channels • Music System • DVD Player • 5 MBPS Fibre Optic Wi-Fi • Samsung Washing Machine • Iron / Iron Board • Vacuum Cleaner • Water Pressure Pump (So that your showers and tap water comes out full force and not a mere trickle) • Hair Dryer and Basic Toiletries • Mosquito Repellent Units • Yoga Mat
  • The apt is right in the middle of Thamel, so great location for restaurants and shops. There are two beds so this is an ideal rental for a family or two couples. Not many hotels in Nepal have a kitchen for use, so it was refreshing to be able to eat outside of a restaurant and have some personal space to catch up on work. Nice natural lighting, wifi, AC, and a washing machine with lines for drying outside.

  • Great stay at a very clean, luxurious apartment! Subu/Mala were wonderful to interact with and the check-in/check-out was super easy! If you have no trouble walking up 4 flights of stairs, this apartment is perfect!

    Sirimal2017-07-03T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Subu and Mala's was great, well taken care of with great facilities. The location was very central, hence, very convenient to travel around.

  • This is a nice place to stay. Location is very good and I like the rooftop and balcony very much which the view is really nice. Dining room, kitchen and bedroom are plenty of light.

  • Congratulations. You can stop looking for your place to stay in Kathmandu. If it's available for the time your going book it now. Amazing cafe downstairs and in the heart of Thamel. After a long day of trekking, walking through the dusty streets of Kath, or visiting the pagodas and heritage sites this place is exactly what you need to re energize, reset, and rest for your next days adventure. I travel the world and stay in AirBNBs and I would live here. Best compliment I can give.

This bright little nest is the perfect place to relax and get immersed in the Newari ambiance of the old Patan while enjoying extreme calm. It has its own little sunny roof terrace, perfect to read, work and enjoy coffee in the morning ;-)
Located inside Yatachhen house , a beautiful conservation project of Newari architecture. The house has been entirely renovated/ rebuilt 10 years ago with modern anti seismic method and the addition of concrete belts to assure extreme security in case of earthquake. Charming single bedroom with attached bathroom, storage space, small desk area and direct attached roof terrace. Ideal for someone on a consulting mission, a volunteer or a single traveller. The room is independent, has attached bathroom and full access to a beautiful roof terrace as well as a kitchen and a comfortable living room. Amenities: • Attached bathroom with bath and WC. Fabulous location: The house is quietly nested behind Swotha square, a few meters away from the magical UNESCO world heritage Patan Durbar Square. To resume : • Situated in the heart of Patan historical city center (Swotha Square) • Quietly nested inside a courtyard (no noise from the road!) • Less than 100m away from Patan Durbar Square and the Golden Temple • 500m away from Patan Doka (Patan’s gate) Yatachhen House literally means "living in Harmony"... give it a try!
The Old Patan is a fantastic area to stay in. It is much more authentic and traditional than the very crowdy and soulless Thamel or Kathamndu and its concrete jungle. Here, right in the middle of a UNESCO heritage site, you will be surrounded by many treasures: hindu temples everywhere, Buddhist stupas, hidden courtyards, secret paths, monasteries, local food spots... In addition, the vibrant local life of the Newars (the original ethnic group of the Kathmandu Valley) guarantees you a very rich cultural experience.
  • As a solo female traveler, and first time to Nepal, I wanted to make sure that I had a safe, cozy space for the weekend. This listing really spoke to me. It was both rustic and modern. I loved having my own private patio. The French press came in handy, as I had coffee outside in the morning to start each day. The local guide and map that Cosy Nepal provides were so helpful. I visited many of the suggested restaurants and shops. The space was so close to Durbar Square that I often popped back into my room to rest or grab some water. This is a super sweet place and I would highly recommend staying there. The staff went out of their way to be helpful and the hospitality was impressive. Thank you Cosy Nepal

  • Would definitely recommend staying here if you are searching for a place in this area. A nice combination of guest house and hotel features; very professional and at the same time so warm and casual. Very clean and just a beautiful place in a great spot.

  • Talk about an authentic experience in Kathmandu! I loved my stay at this superbly kept little gym in the heart of Patan. The owners and staff made my stay very pleasant, I definitely recommend this to solo or couple travelers looking for an immersive Nepalese experience in the heart of Patan. What I loved: - Authentic space; looks, feels, and smells of history and what you would expect Nepal to be. - Local tips; a brochure filled with local attractions and where to eat and shop is neatly designed with a simple map to use, small detail that turned out to be very helpful. - Outdoor patio; perfect to read a book or unwind after a long day in the city. Keep in mind: - Considering this is a shared space, and the proximity to other rooms, the space feels joint in a manner, expect to hear voices from within your room from the patio and rooms close by. - The room being on the roof, requires going up several steps of stairs. Thank you for making my stay in Kathmandu authentic.

  • Cosy Nepal was my favorite part of my Nepal trip! Patan is the best part of the city; walkable, calm and so friendly. Great food recommendations and I met so many wonderful people. The stylish little attic room was so quaint and wonderful! I love the community that is a part of Cosy Nepal. THIS is THE place to stay. You’ll love it!

  • I totally like CosyNepal house! I already recommend it to my friends. This time I booked a room for my aunt. She told me it's a very nice and comfortable house, she also likes very much. But the most disappoint thing is a roach on the bed, it's rainy season, we can understand, but need pay more attention. Thanks!

  • One of the best airbnb experiences out of many airbnbs I've stayed at- really gorgeous space that was clearly thoughtfully designed with private sunny patio, and kept super clean (with backup electricity!). The apartment is in a perfect location just steps from Patan Durbar Square with a wonderful coffee shop downstairs - a peaceful refuge from the busy streets of Thamal. A little difficult to find at first (that's part of the charm of being in a historic area) but Sailesh was a great host, and met my taxi in the streets to help us find the way. Highly recommend!

    Constance2016-02-11T00:00:00Z
  • Great location near Patan Durbar Square with the most wonderful and helpful hosts and the cosiest of rooms. So Glad I chose this part of town with Temples and shrines, cafes and shops, hole in wall local eateries and drinks kiosks abound. All just a Hop away from Patan Durbar Square. The room was impeccable. Modern comforts while maintaining the traditional newari atmosphere. I love the great water pressure of the hot showers, a great necessity to have at this time of year with dipping temperatures. And then I realised this is Nepal and made this much more cherished. Most definitely staying here again for my next visit!

    Jarvis2016-11-27T00:00:00Z
  • The attic was such a unique and comfortable space for me to spend three days. It's centrally located to most everything you would want to see in Patan, and everything you will discover once you begin exploring the narrow lanes and side passages. There's so much to find around every corner. Camille and Sailesh were always available if I had any questions, and they greeted me each day with a smile. They employ a wonderful, equally friendly staff. The beautiful Newar decor all over the house and in the room made me glad I didn't book a hotel for my stay in Patan.

Bright and airy two independent rooms’ unit located in front of Kulimha Temple, one minute walk from UNESCO site Patan Durbar Square. Composed of a living room/equipped kitchen and a separate bedroom/study space. Private bathrooms with hot water in both living room and bedroom. This unit is located on the 3rd floor, It is amazingly comfortable and homy. It has view over a garden on the bedroom side (very rare in Patan!!), and over a temple on living room side.
Located in a very authentic and beautiful area, just 100 meters north of UNESCO world heritage Patan Durbar Square Type : 2 independent rooms: a kitchen/living room and a separate bedroom/study room - each with its own bathroom Neighbourhood : Old Patan – Kulimha (next to Newa Chhen and Image Ark and 100 meters away from Patan Durbar Square) Volume : 35m2 Accommodate 1 to 3 people (!! bed of 1m40)- The living room can eventually be turned into a bedroom. Bedroom(s) : 1 Bathroom(s) : 2 Kitchen / Living room : Yes This unit is super lovely, very bright and quiet but it is important to note that the kitchen is totally independent from the bedroom (on the threshold/ common staircase, there is two separate door: living room/ bathroom on the left- Bedroom / bathroom on the right). Some loves that because it is like having a whole floor for one's self and separate spaces are sometimes great when sharing an apartment . But it is worth mentioning as some people could find it weird ;-) Amazing location! • Situated in the heart of Patan historical city center (Kulimha Tole) • Less than 100m away from UNESCO Durbar Square and Golden Temple • 500m away from Patan Doka (Patan’s gate) • 20 min ride from Aiport • view over a temple in one side and a garden from the other side
You can't find more authentic and traditional neighbourhood; Once you have discover the old Patan, you will never want to stay in Thamel again! When staying in this part of town (part of the UNESCO world heritage sites) you are surrounded by Hindu temples, Buddhist stupas, monasteries , local food spots and hidden courtyards with secret paths. In addition, the vibrant local life of the Newars (the original ethnic group of the Kathmandu Valley) guarantees you a very rich cultural experience.
  • This was the perfect apartment for my colleague and I for a month in Kathmandu. Such a great location in the middle of Patan and a beautiful, peaceful place to come home to every day. Sohan, Sailesh and Camille were all incredibly helpful and answered all of my our questions via email promptly. They even recommended a great company for trekking that I ended up using during my last week in Nepal. Can't recommend Cosy Nepal and their team enough. Thank you!!

    Anne2016-10-31T00:00:00Z
  • This was my second time at Cosy Nepal's Patan accommodations, and like the last time everything was excellent. I tried more of their guide book's recommendations (Yala is awesome for food and artwork). If and when I come back to Nepal, I will most likely stay in one of their different apartments to try a new experience. Thanks for a great stay!

    Anthony2018-03-08T00:00:00Z
  • The apartment immediately feels like a real home. We loved the windows, light and view over Patan. The local tips were excellent! The communication, too. Quick answers and support in every direction. The area is very inspiring. We would stay there again!

  • My stay was absolutely perfect, and really the highlight of my trip. Apartment was beautiful and in a great location, and the staff of Cosy Nepal went above and beyond to make my stay great. Patan is a lovely city and away from the craziness of Thamel, but still culturally rich with a lot going on. This was my first AirBnB experience and I was extremely satisfied. :)

  • Kulimha house is located in the middle of Patan, the oldest (and I find the nicest) part of the Kathmandu Valley. The apartment is in a quiet side street very close to Durbar Square. It is very bright and the view from the bedroom to the garden is beautiful. Camille, Sohan and Sailesh are extraordinary helpful. I can highly recommend the apartments from Cosy Nepal for short and long-term stays.

Very responsive and helpful with guides and suggestions to make the most of my short trip worthwhile. I'm very blessed to meet Pemba and Jason, very friendly hosts and I wish we could have hung out more... I'd pick SherpaShah should I visit Nepal again.

  • Thanks to Airbnb, my husband and I found a new home in Kathmandu, as this place was so great and convenient. More than all standard facilities (breakfast, heating, laundry service etc), there are also plenty of unexpected and pleasant activities: cozy evenings near fire, Saturday brunches, library for guests, terrace on the roof and other things, which make your place to stay not a guesthouse, but a real home. Jason and Pemba are awesome hosts, always open for questions and requests, so we strongly recommend this place and will definitely come back! Julia & Roman

    Julia2016-12-29T00:00:00Z
  • Urban is the word here. You are staying super central to the top ten, to-do, tick list for Katmandu. The house has a progressive, self started and hyper local energy, further expressed by can-do will-do attitude the one half of the founders I was lucky to meet. Yet, center to the fast international developments of the city. For lazy laptop days in the kitchen of siteseeing this is a great place to stay to meet like minded change makers.

    Lauren2016-05-26T00:00:00Z
  • Very nice place with great hospitality in a good location. The room is spacious, light and accommodating. Communication is very easy and facilities provide for everything. The Saturday brunch was lovely, tasty food, nice people and relaxed atmosphere. Jason and Pemba are great hosts and do quite some extra miles for their guests.

  • I would (and will) recommend Cocina Mitho Chha to anyone travelling to Kathmandu! It must be very rare to find such an oasis of calm in such a central location (5 minutes' taxi drive from Thamel), and I consider myself fortunate to have stumbled across it. We chose Debendra's place as our base camp before and after going trekking, and it proved absolutely perfect for that purpose: Debendra is a congenial and approachable host, always there to answer questions, give tips and hints, or just to have a chat with; The premises are absolutely spotless, and the food offered is amazing. There are always a couple of interesting other guests to talk to, and that really is a testament to both Debendra's character, and to the place he has built. Highly recommended, and would definitely book again!

    Johannes2016-04-18T00:00:00Z
  • Our party of 5 stayed 2 nights in Kathmandu at Debendra's accommodation before heading to Pokhara for our trek. Debendra and his team looked after us extremely well. The rooms were basic but extremely neat and cosy. We also did a cooking class with Debendra's staff which I highly recommend if you would like to learn how to cook Nepali food. Debendra also suggested a wonderful restaurant down the road within walking distance which was delicious. He also organised a private van for us to Pokhara which was a good price and the van was new and very comfortable. We were all very happy and impressed at the service of this cosy little place in The heart of Kathmandu. Also, close to Thamel.

    Emma (& Lee)2014-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • We were greeted by a very lovely and accommodating staff when we arrived and continued to have a warm and welcoming experience. Debendra was incredibly helpful and kind when advising us on our trip to Nepal and we were treated like friends instantly. Highly recommend staying here!

    Thunder2014-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Staying at Debendra's BnB felt like home. Located in a quiet neighborhood a 15m walk from Thamel and major sights, in a sturdy old house, Cocina Mitho Chha is a center of social-impact activities - I arrived in time for a concert by a local group of visually impaired musicians, got to know students in that week's barista skills training course, and enjoyed a long breakfast with an 85-year-old world traveller who calls the B&B his home in Kathmandu. The rooms are comfortable, the staff exceptionally friendly. A comfortable place, and one to meet interesting people. I won't think of staying elsewhere next time I'm in Kathmandu.

  • This place was pretty easy to find. Our room was very clean, comfortable, open, and brightly lit. Bathrooms were great. Breakfast was nice and the place has an interesting story! Debendra was very friendly as well.

  • We are very happy with our stay at Cocino Mitho Cha what wonderful kitchen means. But besides the wonderful food it's an Oasis in the hectic city of Kathmandu and a joy to sit in their garden. Debendra the owner is a honest and helpfull man and advised and helped us where we needed. I can recommandeer this place which is only a 10 minute walk from the touristic Thamel. So, we stayed with our two children in the age of 10 and 9 and they loved the garden, the housedogs and their food. Wonderful to feel so at home but so far away from home. If we go back to KTM we will stay again with Debendra. Richard, Myrtho, Goya and Callum.

  • Lovely host, comfortable stay, amazing home cooked food and very helpful staff.... Would definitely like to visit again..... Thanks

  • We only stayed one night but as soon as we arrived we felt incredibly welcomed. Debendra and staff are lovely and very helpful. Tucked away in back streets it is good for those wanting a peaceful nights rest as its pretty quite. it's about a 20 minute cab ride from the airport. Half an hour walk to durbar square and sites. Room and beds are comfy and clean. Shower and hot water work well. Lulu and Lola (Debendra's pet dogs) are friendly and super adorable!) Restaurant has delicious

  • Amrit gives a new meaning to the term Superhost. He has so much experience with hospitality and it shows. He was there for our every need, including car transportation, tips and he even helped us when having difficulty adding additional luggage to our airline tickets. The neighborhood is quiet yet close to the city. If you're going to Kathmandu, this is the place to book. We hope to come back soon!

  • This is a wonderfully comfortable apartment and Amrit is a terrific host! Our family had a great stay with Amrit...the apartment wast great, but Amrit's hospitality was really the best part of our stay. He was great at making sure all was well and helped arrange some travel need for us as well. He was also really friendly and engaging to talk with. Highly recommended!

  • When I tell you this is definitely one of the best host I’ve had in all my Airbnb experience. The host and his family hospitality was awesome. The place was very clean and spacious. Big kitchen to enjoy and cook if you choose to. The host set up and planned anything and everything I needed. He went above and beyond for me and made me feel like a friend of the family rather than a client. Excellent service and great stay!

Very close to nightlife, restaurants, pubs/bars, shopping & entertainment. Ample light, space, clean, functional and ideally located. Includes all modern amenities and comforts. Top quality furnishing & finishing. Great value for money.
Thamel is the main tourist hub of Kathmandu, Nepal. The streets are teeming with life. And everything is literally within a minute of this apartment. But that's just the start. This amazing apartment is on the third floor of a beautiful Neo Classical / Newari fusion building. The two bedrooms have two classic bay windows and so that you can observe life as it happens in Thamel without the dust and noise! But be aware that because it is a tourist district, there will be some road traffic and ambient noise. I'm sure they will give you a good discount if you mention that you stay above ☺ The first floor house a travel agency, the second floor is a two-bedroom apartment also listed on Airbnb as "Soundproof 2BHK Thamel Apartment". On the third floor is this two-bedroom apartment. On the top two floors is a beautiful contemporary two-bedroom penthouse also listed on Airbnb as "Contemporary 2BHK Thamel Penthouse." Bedrooms The air-conditioned bedrooms have queen size double bed, large comfortable mattress, wardrobe, study table/chair, real wood parquet flooring and bathroom with running hot/cold water, western style WC, hand-held toilet spray. The master bedroom has an en suite bathroom while the second bedroom has an adjoining bathroom. Kitchen The kitchen has all the amenities you would require to prepare any meal. It is intelligently designed to enable you to cook, store and clean in as little time as possible. Items in the Kitchen: • 4-ring gas hob • Gas cylinders • Exhaust Hood • Storage cabinets • French Press • Water Jar and Dispenser • Fridge • Microwave • Toaster • Crockery • Wine Glasses • Beer Glasses • Coffee Mugs • Cutlery • Cooking Utensils • Ingredient and food containers • Hot water heater/dispenser Living / Dining Area The open Living / Dining area (air-conditioned) has a large bank of windows on the west side which lets in a ton of light and plenty of afternoon sunshine. The windows can also be fully shaded by rolling down the blinds. The real wood dining table with a hanging dome lights provide a great atmosphere to chitchat with family or guests over dinner and wine. You can also unwind on the comfortable leather sofa and watch a great movie or catch the latest news on the TV that has a satellite connection with over 70 channels including most of the popular news, entertainment and sports programming. Installed Units/Amenities: • Solar Water Panels and Storage Tank • Solar Panel and Battery Based Electricity Back Up • 32" Flat Panel Samsung LED TV • Satellite TV with all major news, sports and entertainment channels • Music System • DVD Player • 5 MBPS Fibre Optic Wi-Fi • Samsung Washing Machine • Iron / Iron Board • Hair Dryer and Basic Toiletries • Mosquito Repellent Units • Yoga Mat
  • Super clean and amazing location if you want all the fun and craziness of the Thamel neighborhood.

    Ben2017-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Subu & Mala’s place is right in the middle of Thamel, next to a variety of restaurants and shops. It’s a perfect location. The design of the apartment is fantastic and is very comfortable. Communication was easy throughout and check-in / check-out was very simple. Highly recommended.

    David2018-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Great space and as described. Fast communication and was able to checkout later than normal! Thanks for hosting.

    Henry2018-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • We had an amazing time at Subu and Mala’s home in Thamel. The entire experience from booking to the end of our stay was smooth and effortless. Subu and Mala were incredibly responsive to all our questions and concerns. They provided detailed instructions on how to get to the apartment and had great suggestions of places to visit and where to eat. The apartment itself was beautiful and airy. We were sad our stay was so short, we would have loved to stay a bit longer to enjoy the space. I would highly recommend both the hosts and the apartment.

    Butsina2018-10-16T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing place!! Highly recommended.

    Saleem2017-09-08T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay, absolute oasis above busy Thamel. Definitely a bit of street noise but that’s to be expected in KTM. One issue was check-in. Key was supposed to be under mat per check-in instructions, but it was in a lockbox to which I didn’t have the code. Quickly resolved though as the tour agency downstairs let me borrow a phone to call host. The washing machine wouldn’t turn on but the host had a maintenance person come on the first day to fix it, so it turned out great. After ironing out these two things, we were so happy to have this place. Location was awesome and it felt like a home.

    Jonathan2018-11-19T00:00:00Z
  • We stayed at Subu & Mala's place for three weeks, based right in the centre of Thamel the apartment was exactly as we expected. It's very bright & airy and there's plenty of room to have space when travelling with others. Their house rules were comprehensive & it was an easy place to be based from. It's so close to everything you could want in Thamel and easy to walk straight out of the door and into a taxi for other places. We had everything we expected and would definitely go back. The only thing we would say (and this obviously depends on who you are) - but we found it very noisy even in the apartment, life never stops, and it can be hard to fall asleep, but this is really only a minor thing and just something to mention if you want total tranquility (but you probably wouldn't be staying in central Thamel). We absolutely loved it and there' a great little cafe 'Cafe Mitra' to have a tea or coffee and some lunch when Thamel gets too intense - run by lovely folks. Great apartment, great hosts - highly recommend this place! Thank you very much Subu & Mala! Hopefully we'll be back sometime!

    Harriet2017-06-20T00:00:00Z
  • The apartments are in a great location near restaurants, shopping, ATMs and the taxi stand. Some tourist sites are within walking distance too. It was a wonderful set up for us since we were traveling with another couple. Each couple had our own spacious bedroom and a private bath. The washing machine was an added bonus! Subu and Mala are great host that responded to messages quickly and addressed any issues. Their apartment manual is thorough and very helpful. It even addresses potential issues like street noise and stairs, so you know what to expect. The are wonderful hosts!

Convenient location, safe and quiet area, super clean house with beautiful garden and good foods, any reason to hesitate? ;)

  • Chuck and Shivone's place is extremely cool. They managed to make an oasis out of Kathmandu dusty and wild center. Outstanding breakfasts, cosiness and absolute cleanliness at any corner, a lovely garden and small home restaurant with fireplace - if the fate threw you to Kathmandu , this family hotel is your best choice ever.

    Tatiana2017-12-31T00:00:00Z
  • Great stay at Maison Kathmandu! Breakfast and staff were our main highlights. It is located close enough to public transportation and far enough from busy Thamel. It takes 5-10 minutes to get there by taxi. Our favorite Airbnb so far! It has a restaurant with great food if you decide to stay and chill one day at th hotel.

  • Manoj was very accommodating and generous. He greeted me with a smile in the shop downstairs, showed me all around the building and my room. And when I left, let me keep my things in the room all day while I was waiting for my flight. The room itself is bright and clean. With windows looking out onto an inner courtyard, and the local square, I could see local life happening just outside my window. Great location, great room, great host.

  • Om's Apartments was a fantastic place to stay in Kathmandu. My group of 5 rented all three rooms, and we loved it. The location could not be more perfect, right next to the incredible Patan Durbar square and among the shops of Mangal Bazaar. Despite this, the neighborhood was very peaceful at night and restful sleep was easy to get. I could go on and on about the great location, but I would rather highlight how comfortable, spacious, clean and bright the rooms were and how at ease Manoj made us feel. The beds were comfortable and had really warm, thick, blankets. The bathrooms were spotless and hot water was always available. Manoj and Abhi were incredibly helpful, lending us guidebooks and maps to use the whole time, providing recommendations for off-the-beaten-path restaurants, and even arranging for us a VERY last minute, early morning car ride up to the Nagarkot mountain lookout for sunrise viewing. Manoj was also able to refer us to nearby vendors with quality products at reasonable prices. I would recommend Om's Apartments to anyone visiting Kathmandu for the first or even the fifteenth time. There is so much to do in Patan (Lalitpur) that I have no regrets about not staying in Thamel, and Om's accommodations were much nicer than what we would have gotten for the same price in Thamel. This, combined with the fact that Manoj went out of his way to make our stay memorable and comfortable, make me certain that I will be staying at Om's when I next visit Nepal.

  • Wow, this was the best stay I’ve had in Nepal. The place looks exactly like in the pictures and it’s right next to Patan’s Durbar Square. The neighborhood was absolutely quiet at night and you’ll sleep better than in Thamel. The hot showers, great wifi and fantastic bed made for an amazing stay. The guys were fantastic hosts and really did everything they can to make my stay absolutely the best. If I’m back in Nepal, I’ll be staying here again!

  • Family owned, these apartments are located away from the street as part of a fair trade Nepalese handicraft consortium. The personalized care and attention that each member of the family gives is astounding. Each one is kind, enthusiastic and more than willing to help with your journey in any way possible. The rooms are simple and clean with incredible works of art making each one unique and a wonderful stay. Walk out the front door and you are right in the thick of old Katmandu, perfect for wandering about and getting lost.

Clean private room available for home stay with Nepali family; away from crowd, greenery at doorstep, close to city toursitic hub Thamel, behind the President's house. Hosts full of love and knowledge of Nepali culture, travelling in Nepal, trekking and hiking . We can assist on your travel itinerary. Provide brekafast, wifi, coffee, tea for free. Feel like your own home can share fridge and oven.
We're Maya and Dipak: a couple that united in love marriage long before that became common in Nepal which resulted in two clever daughters: Samu (19 yrs) and Safal (16 yrs). Dipak works as a journalist in Nepal and Maya has a freelance job in insurance. 15 years ago we made a Belgian friend and knew that we love to host people, interact with people and give them good hospitality, now we have a lot of friends from all over the world who stay in our home when they come to Kathmandu. We also visited them in Europe and now we are really enjoying the interaction with visitors. Our motto is to host our guests as a Nepali family. We are always ready to serve you Nepali food on nominal price. You can cook your food, if you want to learn we are happy to teach Nepali cooking. We can fix up to four people comfortably.
Open ground in east, Small forest in west and some houses in the north. You can feel the sky, stars and moon from rooftop. Don't miss to have a lovely sun bath and view of mountains and Swyambhu Nath (Monkey temple) from the roof top. It is in quiet place of Kathmandu. Just half an hour walk from tourist hub Thamel. There are restaurants of Nepali and western food nearby in two minutes walk. Big park is 10 minutes away from the home and two minutes walk to regular public vehicle service.
  • A lovely family home in a peaceful and more natural area, north of thamel. It was a pleasure to spend time in the evenings having a tasty home cooked dinner and chatting with the family during my stay here; who are warm, informative and welcoming, even lending me a sim card and a place to keep some belongings for my Annapurna trek!

    Jack2015-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • Dipak and Bishnu made their home feel like ours. It was a great start to our Nepal adventure. We hope to revisit before we leave. They were so helpful planning our trek and getting around the chaos of Kathmandu. It was amazing to hear their life stories and they have so many interesting anecdotes to share. The room is comfortable, safe and convenient for doing laundry. Bishnu's Dal Baht is delicious! I highly recommend them.

  • Samu was an excellent host, very attentive, the House was comfortable and clean with hot showers. They have a rooftop deck with a beautiful view. She ordered us some delicious momo’s from a local restaurant the first night and made us some homemade Dahl bat the second night. We learned a lot about the Nepali culture during our short stay. We would definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Nepal.

    Maria2018-05-11T00:00:00Z
  • Definitely staying here again!

    Jason2018-02-22T00:00:00Z
  • What a wonderful stay! Maya and Deepak were very kind and helpful. They gave us great advice about Katmandu and trekking Annapurna. The location is a bit outside of downtown - you can walk if you're up for it or take a short cab ride.

    Sarah2016-10-05T00:00:00Z
  • Dipak, Maya and their two daughters are probably the kindest hosts I have ever met. They were extremely welcoming and generous, fed us delicious food and their eldest daughter even showed us around Kathmandu. My friend and I feel very privileged to have met this lovely family. If you're looking for a great stay in Kathmandu and a local insight into how things work you should definitely stay here!

    Amelie2016-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • We couldn't imagine how wonderful is to live with this family: to be a bit part of it, to communicate and to feel tenderness and happiness from this family. On every second of living Dipak and Bishnu are helpful and ready to tell everything they know. Forget about cold hostels in Thamel) if you want to experience real Nepali life — here it is. Location means a lot in Katmandu: if you live in the center it's always VERE loudly, but here is calm , fresh air and green environment. It's like small paradise in the middle of crowdly-noisy area. Room is simple, warm

    Nelly2014-11-07T00:00:00Z
  • It’s about a 30 minute walk to the centre. It’s a good location to catch a bus to Pokhara. The place had everything, but wished the kitchen was a little cleaner to make breakfast in.

Right in the heart of busy Thamel, Room B with a Queen bed is set in a garden courtyard. Our room provides a handy base to organise and explore the cultural and natural offerings of Kathmandu. Our rooms are clean, comfortable and quiet.
Room B is located on the ground floor beside a beautiful, evergreen garden. Our rooms are comfortable and have attached bathroom with plenty of hot & cold water. Our restaurant, Café Mitra, is a popular restaurant with travellers as well as residents of Kathmandu. We serve Continental cuisine with a slight Asian touch. Our bar serves a variety of liquors, cocktails, wines, soft drinks and juices. We also serve local organic as well as Illy coffee, along with non-alcoholic beverages.
We are in the heart of Thamel, the epicentre of Kathmandu's tourist tourism district. It is full of restaurants, bars, souvenir shops, travel and trekking offices. It is also conveniently located, allowing easy access - even on foot - to important historical, cultural and religious highlights that Kathmandu has to offer.
  • Kunal's home was easily one of the best places in or near Thamel- it was very central but tucked into a corner (so it wasn't noisy), and it was clean and cosy and very peaceful. His dogs are adorable! Kunal was also a very helpful and kind host- he took extra measures to make sure we got around okay, and was charming and basically a brilliant host. I would definitely stay here again.

    Cynthia2017-01-29T00:00:00Z
  • This was an amazingly well located place for us in the middle of super busy Thamel and yet an oasis of peace and very pleasant staff. Kunal could not have been kinder and super interesting to speak with about everything! Food at the restaurant is actually one of the best we enjoyed in Kathmandu. Highly recommend it!!

  • I loved my stay so much that I came back the following weekend, on the other end of my Nepal visit. I was so happy to be back -- this place felt like home. It's Airbnb at its best. It is a wonderful homey room -- just outside is a courtyard where Kunal's extremely helpful staff is always ready to serve you free breakfast or help you with anything. Kunal is usually around to help you with recommendations or Nepali history, but he's also great at giving you your space. Right outside the courtyard is the heart of Thamel with many currency exchange shops, restaurants, trekking shops, SIM card locations, tourist shops and anything else you may want. Kunal's staff were waiting for me by the gate the first time I arrived and help me bring my stuff. They provide you safe drinking water and cups. The breakfast is delicious. Free newspapers are available right outside your door. Kunal's staff walked me to a SIM card store and helped us hail a cab. This place is maybe $15-20 more per night than what you could get at hostels, but the location and security of having local hosts available to you is well worth it for me.

  • We loved our the staff that work at Cafe Mitra!! We miss all of them already. With that said, this is not a place for everyone. If you are a vacationer and not an experienced traveler, you may have a hard time. My spouse and I are really good at adjusting to our environment and we love the finer things in life like the next person. This room is a little more outdated and needs constant ventilation (There's a bathroom fan you can leave on). Also, the door to the room leads directly into the cafe area. We had to keep our shades very closed at night to make sure no one keep peek through. During the day we left them open a bit from time to time if we were there. The price is PERFECT for this place, but do not expect a luxury hotel. With that said, we would totally suggest this place to other travelers/ travel youtubers. It's all you could want. Free AMAZING breakfast. Location is central in Thamel. It was great. I just want to manage everyone's expectations for where they are staying. Don't book this is you're uptight about where you stay. Do book if you're in for any adventure.

  • Wow!! What an incredible apartment. A historic building with modern amenities, a gorgeous (and clean) living space, fast Wi-Fi, and great heating. Plus it's in a beautiful neighborhood, close to everything you need. We were so impressed with this space, we didn't want to leave. We've stayed in 5 hotels in Nepal before, and this apartment blows them all away. I will definitely stay here again.

  • We recently went to Katmandu for a long weekend family trip and decided to book Camille, Sailesh & Co’s place. From the start they were exceptionally helpful in giving advice and helping us to book a guide, taxis etc. (Sometimes even on short notice) The apartment was exactly as pictured; beautiful, clean and very comfortable. The location was fabulous! The group, Cosy Nepal manages a number of properties so they are very experienced in travelers’ needs. The little guide book was especially handy. Recommended restaurants was excellent! (Especially Yala Café across the road and Cafe Swotha). I am so glad that I decided to book this place and will most certainly recommend it to friends and family.

  • Great place to stay... Recommend!

    Shakuntala2018-07-24T00:00:00Z
  • Camille and team were fabulous. The 2 bedroom apartment is in a well appointed location in a fascinating part of Kathmandu. They were very responsive to emails and were quick to replace the water bottle when needed. The beds were really comfortable (which is apparently not common in Kathmandu), and we slept really well. Being on a busy street, it had a tendency to get a little dusty but the team was quick to come and clean when requested. The kitchen had everything that you could possibly need. We made a few homemade dishes there as the area has some quite pricey eateries. Camille and team left a very helpful guidebook with places to go and see and restaurants that were hygienic enough to not get you sick. There is a temple to the left of the apartment as you look at the balcony and this does have bells that people ring as they go to worship from first thing in the morning. Mostly we slept through these. I highly recommend using their place as a base during a stay in Kathmandu. You'll be glad you did.

  • This place was absolutely fantastic and even better than expected. The check in process, hospitality, quality of the apartment and easy check out and transportation were all on point. Camille and Sailesh were super friendly and helpful. Although our stay was short, we will definitely be back!

Convenient location, safe and quiet area, super clean house with beautiful garden and good foods, any reason to hesitate? ;)
  • Excellent host. Haven in Kathmandu. Clean and safe. Lovely food at café attached (good service and choice of wine there too). Thank you!

  • We enjoyed our stay here. It’s about a 20 minute walk to Thamel so it was quiet and a little oasis out of the crazy dust filled streets of Kathmandu. The room was big and comfortable. There’s a nice restaurant which we enjoyed breakfast and dinner in, and a cute little shop selling quality local handmade products. We would stay here again.

  • Chuck and Siwon's Place is an amazing place to stay. I stayed mostly in the house after my two days of touring and hiking.. as i found the house more charming than other places to chill. Its hard to find a place in Kathmandu with nice food, relaxing vibe, great atmosphere (specially at night!) where you can really the chill. The rooms were clean and tidy. Nothing more to add or nothing less you needed. I only took a cold shower(so hot..) so i'm not sure about the hot waters but seems to be good. Fast Fast wifi. Location was easy to find as its right next to the "Radison hotel" which is the biggest hotel in Kathmandu. There are some shops an bakeries and pubs as well located along with the Radison. The food is superduper... with great cocktails and drinks as well. Can't say enough. Its hard somewhere like this in Kathmandu for sure....

The bright & spacious apartments has 2 bedroom, living room, well equipped kitchen, AC's in all rooms, and is furnished to provide you with a comfortable stay in Kathmandu. The apartment is walkable from the famous Monkey Temple (Swayambhunath) and has a very nice view of Kathmandu and the Temple itself. Some of the luxuries: 42" Flat screen TV with HD channels, daily cleaning, free high speed wifi. Perfect for families and groups.
Retreat Serviced Apartments is located on the pilgrims way to swayambunath (the monkey temple) one of the world heritage temples of the Kathmandu Valley.
The Retreat Apartment building is in the middle of the historical neighborhood of Bijeshwori. We are surrounded with small and bigger hindu and buddhist temples. The main attraction is the Swayambunath Stupa which is a world heritage site that is only 700 meters away.
  • Holidaying in Kathmandu as a family, it was important to find somewhere comfortable, safe and quiet to stay, Retreat Apartments ticked all of the boxes. From the moment we arrived at the Retreat Apartments to the moment we checked out, the staff went above and beyond to look after us in every way from providing advice on activities for kids to shopping locations and prices for taxis. The apartment had plenty of room and privacy to meet our needs with separate bedrooms, fully functional kitchen, bathroom, ensuite, lounge room and balcony with stunning panoramic views of Kathmandu Valley and the Monkey Temple. Daily housekeeping services were efficient and thorough, ensuring the apartment was always immaculately clean. The apartment is a short 10 minute walk to the Monkey Temple and about 20 minutes to Thamel, or a quick 5 minute taxi ride. There are always plenty of taxis around and the staff will let you know roughly how much to pay, or if you are going somewhere further, they will order you a taxi which in most cases I found always cost less than I was able to bargain for with the locals. I also bought fresh produce every couple of days from one of the many nearby shops so that we could cook our own breakfast daily, which was great and really made it feel like home. I highly recommend the Retreat Apartments for a comfortable, stress free stay in Kathmandu.

  • We were extremely satisfied with our stay. The information provided by the management team, their hospitality, etc was very much appreciated. The location was close to the monkey temple and markets. Information folder in the apartment helped with getting around as well. Should we return to Kathmandu, we will certainly consider to stay here again.

  • LOVE IT! Simply the best choice for Kathmandu. The space was lovely, clean and warm. 24/7 hot water and services. But what we liked most was the friendly and welcoming staff who provided excellent service and advice. Such a pleasent surprise and will definitely be staying there on my next trip! Namaste!

  • Don't stay anywhere else! What a wonderful oasis of calm in the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu. 5 star, 2 bed, 2 bath apartment on a hill overlooking the city. They sent a car to the airport to pick us up too. The telephone turned out to be the best appliance. The staff called our taxis, 300 rup down, 400 up to Retreat; the cleaners came in daily to tidy up. If we had any questions or concerns, the staff was a phone call away. Showers and toilets had water pressure that was fabulous. The beds were so comfortable it was hard to leave. I have been to K-du 5 times, and I didn't know a place like this existed outside the huge hotels in the city. Any time the electricity went off ( 12 hours a day) their generator kicked in. The kitchen is well equipped, tv, aircon and heating all new. And an elevator! Thank you for a great time to all the staff. You were wonderful.

    Janice2014-04-16T00:00:00Z
  • Miss Limbu was very helpful in communicating with us prior to our stay (talking to the taxi driver etc) and had a very professional manner as did all the other staff! The apartment was clean, modern and fresh giving panoramic view over the Kathmandu valley.... We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your apartment and will definitely list again when next in Kathmandu! Thanks!

  • This place was a delightful oasis after landing in the chaos of Kathmandu, and then the bumpy coach across to Pokhara. The view from the room is beautiful, especially early in the morning and the location provides a bit of quiet, outside of busy Pokhara (roughly 30min walk in to Pokhara along quiet country road). Rana could not have been more welcoming and helpful, organising cheap taxis for us to town and to Nayapul. The room itself is spacious, very clean and there are plenty of snacks/drinks if you want them! The ensuite bathroom is adjoining (no closing/locking door) but the wall gives more than enough privacy - I really enjoyed being able to shower whilst looking out over the lake - very atmospheric!! There is also a hill top restaurant just a short steep walk away, which is very reasonably priced, delicious food and stunning view! I highly recommend this to all!

So if you searching a natural place to relax with western comfort next to the centre of Kathmandu I defenetly would recommend this place! Really beautiful place. We are so thankfull for this one week by gagan. Thank you thausend times...

  • Gagan's cottage is a really special place. You're tucked away in a little local village with an inspiring view of Kathmandu. Gagan was so helpful in every way. It is worth noting that it gets pretty expensive to travel to the city every day--even with Gagan negotiating discounted prices. On average, it was $10 each way, and naturally, the prices increased if the driver took us multiple places in the city. Also worth noting: depending on the rain, the road isn't always good enough to drive all the way up to the cabin. Gagan shuttled us up on his motorbike on the one day of bad weather, which was so nice of him--he made everything so smooth. Any way, it works out, but if you're planning on going to the city every day, plan at least an extra $20 a day to stay here.

    Jessica2017-05-30T00:00:00Z
  • Wow this lovely cottage is truly unique, the setting is up in the mountain with complete privacy and stunning views. You have a comfy sofa outside where you can sit and watch Kathmandu from the middle of nature. The cottage itself is very spacious with everything you need; kitchen, dining table, sofa, huge comfy bed, and even a bathtub surrounded by lots of pretty plants. Gagan is a lovely host, always there if you need and such a great guy! He even invited us to a family dinner at his home - amazing evening and his family is equally lovely. We will definitely come back!

    Helena2018-05-24T00:00:00Z
  • Don't hesitate to book this cottage. We spent 5 nights at Gagan's cottage to celebrate our 3rd engagement ceremony and it was amazing! Cottage is calm, clean, cozy, unique and you will find everything you need. There's a stove which was very helpful, a beautiful tub and hot water for the morning bath. Gagan will take you everywhere with very reasonable prices, as he's a good driver. He's a good photographer too who took so many great photos for us to remember for ever. He took us for a traditional wedding one of the days which was a unique experience. The cottage is located in a village called Tokha which is near central Kathmandu. Gagan has the mind of a great entrepreneur and I wish him all the best in building his second cottage!

    Mohammed2018-12-17T00:00:00Z
  • Quiet getaway outside the city, totally private yet not far from neighbors, lovely decorations, walking distance to Shivapuri Park (there are trails that take you straight up the hill behind the cottage, or you can walk down the road to the main entrance). The bed was very comfy, and we loved how bright and sunny the cottage was. We brought our own food for dinner, but Gaga’s provided bread, eggs and milk for breakfast. There is also a nearby restaurant that can deliver food. The bathtub is amazing. You do need to walk up a somewhat steep trail to get to the cottage, so bring a backpack instead of luggage. Gagan was so hospitable and responded quickly to all our messages. We will definitely be recommending this place to other friends looking for an escape from the city and pollution!

    Daphne2018-09-15T00:00:00Z
  • Tranquil oasis with an amazing host. No need to worry about a thing. Perfect for relaxing and unwinding. I always start my holidays at Gagan’s place.

    Missy2018-01-04T00:00:00Z
  • Our stay at Gagan's guesthouse in Tokha was immensely delightful. It was a beautiful and scenic way of knowing the valley in which Kathmandu lay in. The weather was cool and the calmness of the night was relaxing to be part of. The guesthouse in itself had all the ideal/standard facilities to allow for a decent retreat from the city life and a gateway to Kathmandu's nature/hiking trails that lay just above the guesthouse. It may be out of town and requires a mini-hike to get to,but it is unique in more than one way. Definitely a place to return to or to stay for an adventurous couple/friends for several nights.

  • Pemba and his staff were so helpful and friendly during my stay. It was the first Airbnb I've stayed at that felt like a home. They spoke to the taxi drivers to ensure I arrived safely and departed on time, since the house is on a quiet side road. There are plenty of places within walking distance. The room was so spacious and clean, perfect for relaxing. If you get the chance, take the time to chat with Pemba, he's got some incredible stuff he's working on. I would stay here again and highly recommend.

  • The house and the room is absolutely wonderful with clean and very nice decoration . You can enjoy the breeze and relax in the lovely garden and balcony at 2F. Jason , the best host I've ever seen , he provides clear information which is very helpful, they even borrow you a mobile phone to ensure you can get contact with them if needed. The location is near Patan with walking distance, if you want to get away from the annoying Thamel and experience the charm in Kathamandu I would highly recommend this place .

  • We had such a great time at Pemba's place. At the first day he took us out to the night walk in Kathmandu. And we made fire at his garden and talk about local life in Nepal and travel over curry dinner. I got flu during stay, he went to see me to the hospital I stayed. It takes more than 1hour from his place. He has truly good heart. He even took me Nepari dessert. We would like to come back to Kathmandu to see him again. I highly recomend his place to stay in Kathmandu.

  • ‘The Abode’ is in a really quiet street but still fairly close to Durbar square (on foot) or Thamel (10 minutes by taxi or a 30 minute walk) The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and the house is really beautiful. I would certainly recommend staying here!

  • I chose to stay at The Abode to experience Newari architecture up close and I was not disappointed. The house is lovely and Sapta and his wife Sudarshana and their son Nirvan were warm and welcoming. Their three lively dogs further add to the homely atmosphere. Breakfast consists of wholegrain bread and freshly brewed coffee, and can be served very early if needed. For lunch or dinner, guests can order online and have their meals delivered. I was out for lunch daily but chose to cook some simple dinners in the well-equipped kitchen. The Abode is located in a quiet neighbourhood; one does not hear any traffic at night at all. The bed was comfy; hot water was available for shower all the time and there's a solar light in each room which guests can turn on if "load-shedding" occurs. Rooms are clean and spacious. It's also great that The Abode comes with a garden and a living room to lounge around in. It was a pity that my schedule did not permit me more time to enjoy the house. Sapta was also very helpful with information about Kathmandu and getting transport. Staying at The Abode offered a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle and dust of Kathmandu. I am already missing the morning chats with Sapta over breakfast and coffee.

  • Our stay at The Abode made our time in Nepal so much better. We loved the location...close enough to Thamel (a 30 min walk or 15 min taxi ride) but in a lovely area which gave us a better taste of how a local lives. We enjoyed the garden area, the adorable dogs, and the amazing hospitality of Nirvan and his parents. I can't wait to return to Nepal and will stay here in a heartbeat!

    Heather2014-10-23T00:00:00Z
  • Nirvan and his parents Sapta and Sudarshana were perfect hosts and made sure we were comfortable and every need catered for. They looked after us over and above what would be expected and made special curd and rice for me when I was ill. Basically they made us a part of the family and shared their time with us to help us with our visit. This is a lovely family and Nirvan deserves every success with this venture. The rooms are large, clean and beautifully designed and the guest wing has its own sitting room and kitchen facilities. I cannot praise this home from home enough.

    Margaret2015-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • Due to some travel complications, we found ourselves with a last-minute opportunity to visit Nepal. Having stayed at The Abode previously, we reached out and Nirvan was more than happy to handle our request. Everything including help with airport transportation was handled without a hitch. As ever, the room, kitchen, common areas, etc. were great. The hosts are extraordinarily helpful and provide a tranquil oasis to call home. After exploring Kathmandu a bit more on this trip, we can confidently say that the location is ideal for short walks to major tourist sites, well-stocked grocery stores, and good local restaurants and dessert places. We will find ourselves back in Nepal some day soon, and we plan to stay at The Abode again.

  • Amazing experience so I ended up coming back early to stay there longer. From the dogs to the ambience this is the best place for traditional yet modern stay and wonderful hospitality of this family. Can't recommend it enough!

    Erin2014-08-21T00:00:00Z
  • Nirvan and his dad Sapta were great hosts. They went out of their way to help me, get a taxi, deal with money exchange, recharge sim card, extend my ticket. The house is gorgeous and had hot water for showers every time I took one. This is a big deal in Nepal. I would definitely recommend people stay here if you want the warm, personal feeling of staying at a local's home. Thank you to both of you.

Located in a very safe and friendly neighborhood. We are somewhat centrally located with easy access to sights and scenes of Kathmandu. 10 to 15 minutes drive from the airport and 10 minutes drive to the centre of the city. The Pashupatinath Temple is just about 5 to 7 minutes away. It is a spacious place that is very comfortably appointed and has a very warm and pleasant vibe to it. We also provide a local cell phone to you for free should you need on the spot informations like direction etc...
Large spacious rooms. Comfortable and clean beds. Clean bathrooms. Probably the best value for money given our modest pricing. Children will love the tree house at the back.
Safe and quiet neighborhood. Wander around and feel like a local.
  • Definitely will stay here again.

    Hussain2018-12-14T00:00:00Z
  • Dinesh and his wife were so accommodating from the moment we arrived. A very spacious space with a great choice of tv channels. Only a short taxi drive from Thamel and all the main tourist attractions in kathmandu. Also felt very safe here with a locked big gate in front of the property.

    Lara2018-09-10T00:00:00Z
  • AMAZING & Incredible Hoster! Excellent Person and really Responsible. He kindly received me with one of my friends and Communicated Perfectly all the time. Dinesh's Appartment was Great for my week at Nepal. I highly recommend his space to everyone planning to come to Kathmandu. Hope to get back soon!

  • Dinesh's place is truly a home away from home. The apartment is very spacious, cosy, and has everything you need. Dinesh was helpful throughout our stay, always very quick to respond and accommodating. I would've stayed here much longer if I could! I would highly recommend.

  • We love this lovely place soooo much! The house is sooooo cozy that we felt like being in home! The house is very clean and tidy!

  • Dinesh has been a great host who would not hesitate before walking an extra-mile for the comfort of his guests. His turn-around time on the queries we have had has been outstanding. It reflects the kind of human being he is. I am not exaggerating this but he is extremely courteous and so helpful. Coming to the accommodation, it is a total value for money. In fact, the classy interiors of this place and the cleanliness is worth mentioning. I would strongly recommend Dinesh's place to someone who wants a peaceful stay in Kathmandu. Our flight from New Delhi was delayed and we were scheduled to reach at midnight and Dinesh was very much concerned about our dinner. We were touched by his offer to make arrangements for our dinner. His place deserves more than five stars and once again I strongly recommend for a memorable stay.

    Rahul2019-02-04T00:00:00Z
  • The place was cozy and spacious. Very homy feel so it was nice to relax, unwind after a long day of walking tours. Its also near a supermarket and lots of provision stores. Dinesh was wonderful. He helped us with directions via a local phone he provided. We just hopped on a taxi and made him speak to the driver. Getting around was easy. He made suggestions of places to eat and visit as well. He even offered to mail my postcards! Thank you Dinesh!

  • Very kind and generous host and staff. Well looked after and service was thoughtful. Place is clean, bright and cheery. Your stay supports Staff learning an honest living to then go and work... Chance in a lifetime to learn a skill to be used in hospitality industry. The food was well prepared and the included breakfast makes this an affordable way to stay in Kathmandu! Also, it is just a7 minute walk to Thamel so you can choose when to be in the mix or when to relax. There are excellent services close by: gym, massage, ATM, laundry place, grocery stores etc. We stayed for a month and would happily do it again! Excellent for families with children, short or long term. We meet some amazing people whole staying here!

  • Wow, where to begin? My time at CMC was amazing, it is a home away from home. Being a solo traveller it was so nice to stay somewhere where they genuinely cared about your welfare. Debendra organised an airport pick up for me when I arrived and made me feel so welcome. The guest house is clean, tidy and quiet (a little oasis away from the hustle and bustle) the garden is lovely and lola and lolo (the pet dogs) were very friendly. I stayed in the everest room which was big, light and airy. The food was absolutely delicious and I would definitely recommend that you take a cooking class! Debendra has become a great friend to me, he is easy to talk to and more than happy to help you planning your sightseeing around Kathmamdu. The guest house is located in an easy to reach location and you can walk to thamel and beyond in about 20 minutes. There are some nice restaurants, bars and shops close by so all your amenities are covered. Couldn't have asked for a better start to my visit to Nepal, I will look back with fond memories on my time at CMC.

  • I was warmly welcomed by the staff on the day I arrived and throughout my stay. My room was super clean and the bed was very comfortable. I stayed four nights and it was nicely located to walk to almost everywhere and only took a taxi to go to Patan. Perhaps the things I would have liked to know before I arrived is that there is one bathroom for 3 rooms so this makes one bathroom shared between potentially 6 people. There is a restaurant next door with very loud music from about 7 to 10pm - not every night. Although the music is turned down at that time, it is still 3 hours of blasting music. I had a outbound flight at midnight and the staff let me stay until very late at no extra charge. This was much appreciated. The food and courtyard were amazing and well priced. The character of the business is such a great initiative and I believe it should be supported. In all, I truly enjoyed my stay and for the price and quality I recommend this place despite the little inconveniences. Thanks heaps

Located in the city centre, close to Thamel and Durbar Marg and is walking distance from many restaurants, supermarkets, handicraft stores, travel agencies & adventure sports agencies. 10min walk to the Palace Museum. Its a fully furnished luxury apartment with a kitchen and fast wifi. Taxis are easily available right outside the building so you have ease and mobility during your stay here. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families (with kids), and big groups.
It is spacious, warm, clean and plenty of sunlight and cross ventilation. It has two terraces from which you can enjoy the hills and mountain view !
Our place is in the heart of the city and favourite tourist destination Thamel.
  • Is a very nice apartment worth to stay with lovely host, and communication is very efficient, anyway, nice one.

    Kun2017-01-30T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed staying in this huge apartment, each with our own bathroom! It is new, and not too far from main Thamel. The owner was really friendly and we would recommend for any group looking for lots of space!

  • Sriya and Sarosh were wonderful hosts in Kathmandu, and we really enjoyed our stay in their beautiful, clean apartment. Our hosts greeted us when we arrived, helped us arrange for a laundry service, and were very responsive to any requests that we had. The apartment is very spacious, clean, and quiet despite being right next to the bustling Thamel neighborhood. We appreciated the ability to stop back at the apartment when traveling around Kathmandu to relax and check wifi before heading out into the busy city again. Highly recommend this apartment!

    Taylor2017-05-18T00:00:00Z
  • Really nice apartment, brand new and very clean. Very nice and helpful host living just upstairs, so it's convenient. Enough restaurants in the area to try a new place every time.

  • Sriya's apartment was the perfect place for our stay in Kathmandu. It's very close to the hustle and bustle of Thamel, but located on a quiet street. There is a taxi stand down the road, which made day trips outside the area very easy. Sriya's parents, who manage the apartment, were incredibly friendly and helpful. They made the check-in/check-out process easy and provided us recommendations on local sites. I would highly recommend this apartment.

    Melissa2017-02-28T00:00:00Z
  • Everything was perfect. The apartment was clean, very spacious and the location was great. Everything worked fine with Sriya. I would recommend the accommodation at any time.

  • VERY beautiful home. I will always stay here now when I come to Kathmandu. Clean and very modern with nice decor.

    Chase2018-05-27T00:00:00Z
  • What an incredible place! Exactly what a group of burned out volunteers needed after a month of living in tents. This place was such a comfort for us and it’s beautifully designed. So clean, and great hot showers and bathrooms. The rooms are spacious with ample bedding and comfortable beds. The living room is great for lounging and the couch is so cozy! Honestly, one of my best Airbnb experiences and will book again next time I’m in Kathmandu!
