Quiet and quaint village on the seafront.
  • My husband, 4 year old son and I stayed at Chiara's for just under a week. The cottage is in a fantastic location with many beautiful beaches and walks nearby. The cottage itself is warm, well equipped and clean. I would definitely stay here again.

    Suzie2020-03-18T00:00:00Z
  • We had a wonderful stay! Chiara leaves a booklet out including lovely little tips and tricks regarding the surroundings. Pennan is close enough to all the distilleries, if you're into it, has a stunning scenery on its own and you feel remote even though nothing's really far away. Pretty much all is as advertised. You can either watch the sea and waves for hours or do dozens of little tours along the coastline or inwards into the countryside. Rough weather didn't sour our trip and maybe someday we'll be there during the summer months which would probably knock our socks off

    David2020-03-14T00:00:00Z
  • Cosy and quiet with no sound other than the crashing of the waves. Decoration is very warm and homely and the view from the front window out to sea is truly amazing especially when paired with a cup of tea on the couch or if you don’t mind the fresh air, a nice walk along the beach. We look forward to booking sometime in the future during the warmer months.

  • A beautiful cottage in a gorgeous town - perfect to get away from it all

  • Thank you for a great few days. The location was truelly beautiful.

    Rebecca2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • This house is so lovely and in the most amazing location! Finding the house and checking in was so easy and Chiara was so quick at responding and was lovely when we got ourselves locked out woops! I would recommend this amazing place to anyone and hope to come back one day, so so nice to sit in the cosy living room and watch the amazing waves! Thanks for a lovely weekend!

    Megan2020-02-10T00:00:00Z
  • We had such a lovely stay in Chiara's cottage - it felt like a real privilege to be able to stay in an old fisherman's cottage right on the harbour. The cottage was lovely and warm all the time. The kitchen was really well stocked with all the pans/casserole dishes you could need for cooking for yourself, which was great as it looks like Pennan inn will no longer be a restaurant. We enjoyed visiting all the towns and villages around, and some of the little bays along the coast, and in particular would recommend the lighthouse museum in Fraserburgh and the antiques shop in the church in Cullen. We hope to be back to stay again sometime and have already recommended the place to family and friends!

Located in the beautiful quiet seaside village of Pennan near Fraserburgh Aberdeenshire. Which has had a little fame with being the location of 1983 movie Local Hero. Positioned close to great views, the beach, harbor, a nice restaurant/pub and close to many golf courses. You’ll love our place because of the light, the comfy bed, the fireplace, the cosiness and the stunning location.. My place is good for couples, solo adventurers, business travelers, families, and your furry friends.
    - Fully equipped kitchen - Television - DVD/Blu ray player - Free WiFi - log burner in lounge - Bathroom with walk in shower - Master bedroom with double bed - Attic room with double bed - Oil filled radiators in bedrooms and bathroom - Far infra-red heating in lounge
Pennan is a quaint 18th century fishing village with a small harbour and spectacular coastline, famous as the setting of the 1983 film "Local Hero” where the infamous red telephone box is a draw for many a tourist. Pennan is approximately 40 miles north of Aberdeen. The fantastic location makes this an ideal base to explore the Banffshire coast. There is a hotel in the village with shops, amenities and sporting facilities at nearby towns such as Fraserburgh, Macduff and Banff.
  • Lovely little town on the coast! Cottage is nice and the stove made it cosy!

  • Pennan is a special place

    Elizabeth2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • This is a great place to stay. Pennan is beautiful and lots to see in the area. Could easily have spent a week exploring. Take matches, kindling and firelighters for the stove, as well as logs.

  • Great little cottage with everything you need. We had a nice relaxing stay and the log burner kept us very cosy. Hosts are fantastic and easy to deal with, more than happy to provide tips and recommendations on places to visit. Pennan is beautiful and I would highly recommend a stay at Spindrift Cottage.

    Debs2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • We have stayed at Spindrift several times now while visiting family. It never fails our expectations. The cottage is lovely, and the stove makes it so cosy and homely. Andrea and Robert are always very thoughtful and this time we were visiting to meet my new nephew and they left a lovely gift for my sister. Would have no doubt about recommending Spindrift and staying again. My family and I love "the beach house".

    Perry2019-10-30T00:00:00Z
  • This is out 3rd stay at Spindrift and our 'go to' location for visiting family. We stayed for a week this time and had an amazing stay. Pennan is magical and the kids and dogs love it. Spindrift is super clean with all the amenities you would expect as well as some extra lovely touches. Andrea left some crafty things for the kids and a box of chocolates for the big kids. A lovely extra surprise for the start of our holiday that the kids were delighted with and a lovely extra touch. Beds are clean and comfortable and shower room and kitchen well equipped. We were able to make 2 pots of soup and 2 batches of scones during our trip. The fire in the living space is wonderful and amazing to watch on a cold evening. We will definitely be back again.

  • If you are looking for a genuine experience of Scottish country life, Janet and Rob's place is a quaint, cozy, safe place to have it. The studio is tucked back on their farm - quiet, surrounded by animals, and a beautiful place to rest, walk and get to numerous surrounding destinations. The clever little kitchen is enough to cook simple meals, with a sitting room heated by a wood burning stove. The bedroom is lovely and very comfortable - and in the deep winter, the radiator heating in it is a big plus. Rob and Janet are very friendly and accommodating. Their Aussie dog is a love (particularly if you like throwing sticks infinitum) and their brood of chickens impressively plumed and also happy. In my book, it is always a good sign when the animals are happy. I highly recommend this place.

Hi, this is a super little self contained 2 bedroom cottage. it is within my private garden which is 6 Acres total, and includes a courtyard knot garden and a full-size maze. The Garden only opens once a year - (but not this year we are having a rest.) Please be aware to access the cottage you must use a 20m lose stone path therefore it is not suitable for disabled access and is a bit tricky if you have a heavy suitcase and rely on the wheels.
The cottage is set in a 6 acre acclaimed garden. it has 2 good sized bedrooms with standard double beds. A separate bathroom which has bath/shower. The living room is also a dining room and the cottage kitchen is fully equipped with modern appliances and has a small rayburn which is used for most cooking and for heating the hot water. There is also wi fi available at the cottage along with digital freeview wall mounted tv
There isn't a neighbourhood, the property is set in the countryside. Our nearest village is a 5 minute drive away from the property - Cullen - which has 2 wee shops for food, antique shops galore. 3 takeaways (Indian, Chinese and fish and chips) cafes and 2 wonderful beaches
  • Such a beautiful place to stay. Great hospitality, very clean and stunning location. A few breakables around if you have young children, but easy enough to move out of the way.

  • A beautiful cottage in a lovely, rural location. The cottage is well equipped and very clean, with everything you need. The property is cosy and comfortable. Our hosts were very helpful and made the whole stay run smoothly.

  • Super, cosy cottage in an outstanding location with all the amenities you need for a relaxing comfortable stay. Warm welcome from the hosts

    Gina2019-10-29T00:00:00Z
  • We spent 5 nights at Cherie and Tom’s, as we explored Scotland (tourists from Australia) in a hire car. Great communication from Cherie leading up to our booking, particularly with instructions as to how to find it (she even sent a photo of the gate, so we'd recognise it!). It wasn’t hard to find it, by the way. Cherie was also very responsive to us when we were actually there too - eg, previous tenants had jammed the coffee pod machine and Cherie replaced it the same day. We had a chat to her when we met in their magnificent and massive garden. Nice to have secure off-street-parking. Cute décor throughout the cottage. Power shower never seemed to run out of hot water. The Rayburn in the kitchen was always toasty warm, making drying (the kitchen has a washing machine, which got quite a work out!) on the clothes horse just an overnight affair. Cherie gave us Scottish fudge (all eaten), Scottish shortbread (all eaten), juice, bread, butter, and milk, coffee, tea, sugar, cereal … shampoos, soaps, etc. A big help. The bed was comfy and we warmed our towels in the kitchen overnight ready for a shower in the morning. Wifi and TV too. A wonderful stay thanks!

This is one of our 2 garden apartments at Castleview in the coastal town of Banff. We are situated on the north east 250 route in an ideal situation for exploring. This space is not shared you have the whole apartment. A fully functioning kitchen opens onto a lounge/ bedroom and shower room. There is a beautiful cottage garden and private parking.
  • Beautiful accommodation with everything that we needed to hand. The property was lovely and clean with a nicely lit garden. The property was in a great location with off-road parking and had plenty of shops, places to eat and nearby walks. The hosts were fantastic. They were in touch throughout and met us on our arrival, ensuring that we had everything that we required for our stay. They were very accommodating and recommended places to eat and provided us with some local information. They also made sure that we had a fully stocked fridge and cupboards, with fresh bread, pastries, cereals, milk and eggs - which was a fantastic touch that we did not expect! We would highly recommend this property to anyone!

  • Had a great stay, the place is extremely comfortable and equipped with everything you would need. I would definitely book this place again.

  • Fresh and super healthy breakfast options were supplied in a gorgeous rattan serving tray which I loved! I brought my own non dairy supplies as I don't ever expect anyone to cater for those specifics however... (I say this light heartedly) I was told by Nick that he "didnt get it" (veganism) and I felt a bit awkward... However, Nick was extremely attentive throughout our stay! Awesome decor and full of thoughtful necessities. Cosy and quaint. Loved it.

    Cheryl2020-02-16T00:00:00Z
  • We’ve had an amazing stay at Nick’s place. The cottage is extremely cosy, well equipped and all the equipment very modern. The perfect place to unwind after a long walk. The fire stove, daily cleaning & breakfast and Nick’s hospitality was really appreciated. Would 100% recommend

  • Beautiful location, right at the sea, lovely surrounding area. The house was stunning, perfect for a family getaway or relaxing weekend away with friends, the perfect place to unwind. Perfect place for a staycation, plenty of wonderful views and walks. The house was gorgeous, was super clean, felt like you were moving into a brand new fully furnished house. It had a brilliant TV and access to Netflix, amazing speaker with full instructions on how to use. We had 9 people staying for my Mum's 50th and we there was a toilet per room upstairs as well as a toilet down the stairs. There was plenty of space to relax, all the bedrooms were spacious, there was plenty of room down the stairs with the large dining table and living room. The hot tub is amazing and sectioned off so you feel totally at ease, no one is able to look in at you, but still gets the sun, if you want to enjoy the weather. I couldn't recommend this house and host enough. Would love to visit again!

  • What can we say? Absolutely stunning. The place was immaculate, roomy with a very cosy feel. The location of the house was on the sea front with magnificent sea views. watching the crashing waves as we relaxed in the comfort of the large leather couches in the spacious lounge. The kitchen was very well stocked wit an added bonus of a coffee machine and a complimentary bottle of gin. Alan was a very helpful host and we would definitely recommend The Customs house. A relaxing family holiday had by all.

  • A beautiful holiday home situated right on the harbour at Banff. There was plenty of room for us all to have our own space-and bathrooms! Everything we needed was provided and all furnishings and bedding were of high quality. There are so many places to visit in the surrounding area and every single member of our family had a great time- walking, cycling, golfing or just chilling at the beach or in the hot tub. I hope we can return again in the future.

    Helen2019-07-29T00:00:00Z
  • Gorgeous modern space, all mod cons, complementary bottle of gin with lemons and limes available, spotlessly clean and lots of space. Stunning views of the sea too. Highly recommended the house and the host. Thank you from all 10 of us :)

We made a very last minute reservation, and the response from the host was very fast. Nick and his wife welcomed us very warmly, advised on food options in the area and helped with moving in. We were over Christmas and the place had everything we needed (kitchen, fire and TV)and was a very welcomed break. All I can suggest is while you there go walk along the beaches and in the forests if you're from a city. Thanks again Nick and Mo.

Mill of Nethermill is located in a secluded bay by the village of Pennan. We are at sea level, and only meters from the beach.
  • Well what a lovely find. Bill and Lynn were very friendly and helpful, best sleep in ages, awesome shower, lovely touches. Also, so much to do in and around the area. I couldn't fault the place, and loved the little touches.

  • The Neuk is a wonderful place to stay, it's just a few minutes walk to a lovely quiet beach, the accommodation was warm and very clean with all the essentials. The host Lynn and Bill are very welcoming and have a great wealth of knowledge about the area. I can't recommend them enough.

  • Very peaceful, relaxing place, away from it all. We were made very welcome and found the mill very comfortable and we'll equipped. Didn't want to leave. The best Airbnb we've ever stayed in and we would highly recommend. Short drive away to pubs, restaurants and things to do and see. Loved it.

  • Very beautiful place with a great view and access to the beach, amazing friendly host. Highly recommended.

  • We had the most lovely time at the Neuk. It's a romantic hideaway with what feels like your own private beach & hearing the waves as you go to sleep is instantly relaxing. Hidden away in lovely farmland there's even a chance to see the Northern lights or at least the stars on a clear night night. Lynn & Bill are the perfect hosts and were extremely accommodating & friendly throughout our stay. My partner is disabled & they have though of everything, which made the stay even more relaxing - the walk in shower is lush and the bed is super comfy! We've already planned our return! Thank you both! Clare & Robbie

    Clare2017-03-29T00:00:00Z
  • Lynn and Bill are so very accommodating and friendly and the location is absolutely spectacular. We had the most fantastic time here, so close to the sea, with beauty all around. The apartment was perfect, had everything we needed for a home away from home. Highly recommended! x

  • Jills place was lovely to stay at. The room was large and comfy and warm. Breakfast was included so that was a bonus. There are two fish and chips shops close by. A bar/restaurant, in the next street. Another Restaurant 5 minutes walk away if that. Plus a local shop that sells everything. Jill is a very nice person, easy to talk to and will give you lots of information. I really enjoyed my time at Jills and highly recommend it. I would stay there again if I visited that part of Scotland again.

Puffin Cottage is a cosy former fisherman's cottage full of original features and character, with open fire, original wood panel walls and ceiling beams. The cottage it is nestled rests at the foot of grass-covered cliffs with the sea just yards away in the village of Pennan, made famous by the film Local Hero.
The cottage is bursting with character, and is particularly homely with numerous paintings, historical artifacts, overflowing book shelves and various games and DVDs The accommodation comprises an open plan living, dining and kitchen area with open fire on the ground floor. The kitchen is small but functional with everything you should need (no dishwasher) For the fire we have left fuel to get you started. If needed additional Logs and coal are available to buy from local petrol stations in Fraserburgh, Banff or Macduff. There is also a shower room and toilet on the ground floor. Upstairs, the main double bedroom has an electric stove, wood panel walls and TV, and is made complete with a chandelier! There is also a single bedroom. There are further stairs up to a loft space, however we currently use this space for storage. There is wifi and the TV has netflix. In the shed outside there is a washing machine and tumble dryer, there is also a second outside toilet. There is a table and chairs outside in the alley and a further table and chairs on the sea front in the summer (although we store this in the winter to stop it getting washed away!) There is plenty parking on the street
The village is situated half way between Fraserburgh and Banff, both have good supermarkets, and Tesco delivers! The closest small shop is New Aberdour (3 miles). There is an Inn in the village which serves great evening meals (hours vary seasonally) and in the summer there is the coastal cuppie tea shed for coffee, cake, sausage rolls etc. The cottage is only a few feet from the sea, where we often see a variety of seabirds, seals and dolphins with occasional sightings of minke whale. There are lovely walks all around with a path from the village over the cliffs to New Aberdour. Other key attractions include: Troop Head RSPB reserve (the only UK mainland nesting gannet colony (incredible in the summer months) Cullykhan Bay - lovely for swimming Millshore - can walk from Pennan at low tide over the rocks - pottery, coffee and ice cream Crovie and Gardenstown - fishing villages with a lovely sea walk between the two Fraserburgh Beach - sandy and good surfing Banff Beach and Sandend Beach offering surf and SUP lessons Macduff - marine aquarium Portsoy - lovely harbour and famous ice cream shop Findlater Castle and Sunnyside beach Cullen - full of quirky shops and lovely beach Bow fiddle rock - meant to be a great spot for wild swimming (when the weather is good!)

    Anna2020-03-01T00:00:00Z
  • We really enjoyed our 3 night stay in Gayle's lovely fisherman's cottage in Pennan. The house is compact but cosy (with the log fire), extremely comfortable and beautifully decorated and furnished. The space was perfect for a couple but, because of the additional single bedroom, would work just as well for a family of three or two single adults. The kitchen is amazingly well equipped (one of the best we have stayed in) and with plenty of salt, pepper, herbs, tea-bags etc to use or borrow and replenish. The pub hadn't yet opened for the summer when we stayed (opens end April I think) but we were very happy to put the fire on, cook and read. Despite Storm Dennis, the sun shone every day in this corner of Scotland and so we got lots of walks in and even ate our sandwiches on the beach. I particularly recommend walking to the caves at New Aberdour, and also taking the Stagecoach bus from Portsoy to Portknockie (about 15 mins, every 2 hours) and walking back along the beautiful coast path via Cullen and Sandend (about 9 miles). The booking arrangements and check-in were all straightforward and Gayle has left loads of useful information in the house. I would definitely recommend staying in this house.

    Wendy2020-02-17T00:00:00Z
  • To spend some short vacation in Pennan, this cottage is the best choice. For me, it was great place to concentrate my work. Peaceful, quiet, beautiful atmosphere. Especially, fireplace was fantastic. Thanks to it, I was able to feel warm in the cottage. All equipted for staying as well. I will definitely come back someday. Thanks!

Cosy Fisherman's cottage nestled on the beautiful North East coast of Scotland. 5 minutes drive from the historic town of Banff. The cottage has 1 twin bedroom, comfortable lounge with sea view, kitchen on open plan, modern shower room and a landscaped garden to the front. Comes fully equipped with heating, electricity and cleaning included in the price. The village has all amenities including restaurants, pubs, art galleries, shops and a yacht marina. Well worth a stay here.

  • Cosy, comfy little cottage in a great seaside location. Bring a torch if you plan to arrive in the dark & look for the pebble with No.28 painted on it. That's the passageway to use. Enjoy watching the sea from the dining table or sofa and exploring along the coast in both directions.

    Mark2020-02-19T00:00:00Z
  • Colin's place in white bay was the perfect Scottish retreat. The main room and kitchen is perfectly cozy and plentiful in size filled with all the amenities you need for a longer or shorter stay. The place was very clean when we got there and there was plenty of suggestions and tips left by Colin. Colin himself was extremely communicative during the trip and helped us at all times with our last-minute request which were no problem for him even though they were out of his way. I would say to anyone looking to stay in white bay that this is the perfect accommodation especially considering the fantastic price!

The former Stables & Gig House at Gamrie Lodge offer the luxury and comfort of exclusive boutique accommodation but with more space and privacy. All set in a tranquil rural setting but less than a mile from Gamrie Bay and the sea...
Maybe you're planning a romantic break or simply taking some time out for a well earned bit of peace and quiet. Built around a private gravelled courtyard within the grounds of Gamrie Lodge, The Coach House Cottage is generously proportioned, fully furnished and tastefully appointed providing a wonderful relaxing atmosphere for two guests whilst the adjacent Stables Cottage will accommodate a further 4 guests.
Whilst spending time in this beautiful area you can enjoy a multitude of activities including golf, riding, fishing, cycling and walking which is by no means an exhaustive list. For those looking for less energetic experiences, why not explore the plentiful supply of dramatic ruins and historic buildings or seek out the many other idyllic places to slow down, rest, and take it easy with a book, sketch pad or easel.
  • A fantastic comfortable base to explore the beautiful coast line of Banffshire. Kevin & Stuart were great hosts bringing us wood and kindling even in August on a wet Sunday so we could light the stove!! We really appreciated having a dog friendly place to stay & Ben the dog really enjoyed his holiday too.

Driftwood Cottage is our latest venture and we welcomed our first guests at the end of March 2019. I am pleased to say that they liked it as much as we do – tho’ I was loath to move out at the end of our ‘test’ stay! Driftwood must be one of the prettiest cottages in Portsoy. It is often photographed, with it’s seaside theme and location all working in it’s favour! I will be uploading professional internal photos as soon as possible, but hope these work in progress ones will give you a feel of the place, and what we are trying to achieve! For me, apart from the location, the garden is one of the biggest attractions! There are not one, not two, but 3 terraces, as you climb the hill behind the cottage, with the view improving from each one! There is a barbeque area, plenty of seating, even a fish pond, and at the top, a ‘sitooterie’ (a summer house!), where you can sit out, enjoy your G&T (or cup of tea!) and look out over the higgledy piggledy roof tops of the historic conservation area and beyond that, out to sea. The cottage has a king size double bedroom, shower room, lounge and kitchen, all on the ground floor, with a twin room and children’s play area up some fairly narrow and steep stairs, so is suitable either for couples of those with young families. Of course, like all our cottages, we have good WiFi and your four legged friends are very welcome. We hope you will visit Driftwood, our latest cottage, and discover this often overlooked corner of the North East of Scotland for yourselves!
The cottage is cosy and comfortable, a real home from home. It is well equipped with everything we thought you might need - and we are open to suggestions if you think we've missed something!
Portsoy is a welcoming small town, with a lot going on for it’s size. It has a fantastic sense of community, with the caravan park, the 4 star Salmon Bothy museum, the Sail Loft Bunkhouse and the Scottish Traditional Boat Festival (celebrating it’s 21st anniversary this year!) all being run by the community for the community. It is centred around it’s 2 historic seventeenth century harbours, the area little changed in years, used as the film setting for the recent remake of Whisky Galore. The fishing industry has largely moved on, but you can often see the town’s two St Ayles skiffs rowing out from the harbour (and you will often find me out with them!) There are some fantastic walks round Portsoy, whether you walk westwards, past the old swimming pool carved out amongst the rocks, along the rugged coastline towards Sandend (pronounced ‘Sanine’) or further along to Findlater Castle, Sunnyside Beach and Cullen, or eastwards along the Coastguard’s path. There is the Shore Inn between the cottage and the harbours… and of course the award winning Portsoy Ice Cream shop. The Banffshire coast is one of the world’s outstanding coastlines, says the National Geographic. Natural beauty combines with plentiful wildlife – there are dolphins, seals, puffins and other seabirds in abundance, if you are lucky enough to see them. Fishing villages all along the coast perch on clifftops, or crouch precariously at the water’s edge, with the oldest houses built gable-end on to the weather and the waves. In the summer, the light up here is special, days are near endless. Winter skies are dark and starry and – with a bit of luck – you might even see the Northern Lights!

The property was absolutely spotless, cosy and modern with all of the amenities you could ask for (but you won't need to ask because Jaq is such a super host!). We had some lovely free range eggs from her own hens, soya milk in the fridge and Jaq popped in with some amazing homemade brownies as well! We were made to feel very welcome and comfortable our stay. 100% would recommend!

  • Jacqueline, who is a very available person, gave us the keys by hand, and gave us all the necessary information. The accommodation is perfectly equipped and very cozy. It is also perfectly located, within walking distance of the center of the town and Bow Fiddle Rock I recommend without hesitation

    Thierry2020-03-05T00:00:00Z
  • Comfortable, stylish accommodation, and many details. Of the best accommodations we have been to. Jacqueline is very attentive and close, with a sweet welcome surprise.

    Noé2020-03-04T00:00:00Z
  • Such a lovely, warm and cosy home. As soon as we walked through the door we were greeted by Jackie, such a lovely woman who baked us a batch of chocolate brownies and even made us homemade lemon curd! Both were absolutely amazing. Thanks so much Jackie. Portknockie is lovely too. So small and quiet and the surrounding coastline is incredible. Just five mins walk down to Bow Fiddle Rock.

  • Jaqueline is an absolutely amazing host! There is no one like her. She is extremely kind, helpful and considerate. I do not believe there is a better place to visit than her cottage in Portknockie. Don't even think about different offers because you're not going to find anything better :))) You are literally 3 minutes walk from the sea and you can even see it from the living room and the bedroom. The views and cliffs there are astonishing and this is an amazing place to visit, gain some peace and rest!

Harbour Cottage, Gardenstown, Aberdeenshire offers the best of North East Scotland's coast and country. Situated on the Moray Firth coastline, it boasts amazing views out to sea from the delightful harbour and beach. You may catch a glimpse of the dolphins, that often swim in the bay, being just one species of the abundance of wildlife the area is inhabited by. The sunsets are fabulous!
  • Great wee place for a couple or for one person. Has all the things needed for a pleasant stay. Well equipped kitchen, comfy sofa, lovely bathroom (bath and shower), comfy bed. Parking is right outside. It’s right on the harbour and is a convenient spot for doing a bit of coastal walking (or sea swimming if you don’t mind the cold water!) It’s a good idea to do your food shopping before you arrive because the one shop in the village is only really ok for basics (and it’s a bit of a trek up the hill to get to it). The pub is nearby and the harbour has a community cafe (check Facebook for opening details).

  • Gardenstown is a lovely place with really friendly people. The beach and the harbour are very calming. Harbour Cottage itself is in an ideal location for both the harbour and the beach. It was very comfortable and quickly felt like home. It has a well equipped kitchen and great amenities. Check in was simple and the communication great.

    Steven2019-08-03T00:00:00Z
  • A lovely little cottage right on the harbour. A real treat in a very unspoilt part of Scotland.

    Tracey2019-07-20T00:00:00Z
  • Fantastic little house in an idillic location to get away from everything. Very little to do but plenty of wide open space to roam in & not a lot else ! The local pub does not allow dogs in which is a shame & opens evenings only

    Shelayne2019-06-21T00:00:00Z
  • Sues cottage was really up to expectations in every way. It was comfortable, had great facilities, was well located and good value. We would certainly recommend Harbour Cottage to anyone going to this beautiful part of the world.

    Sally2019-06-03T00:00:00Z
  • Super accommodation close to beaches, well stocked shop and lovely walks along coast and cliff tops. Village very pretty and quaint with steep stairways leading into little alleys with super views all round. Villagers very friendly.

  • Our visit to Aberdeenshire and the Moray areas of Scotland have left us with fond memories thanks to Lynn and Bill's hospitality and knowledge of the area. The many walks along the varied coastline, through farmer's fields, and into the "tor" were largely facilitated because of our hosts' knowledge of the area. Our "home" for 3 weeks was warm and welcoming, and left us wanting for nothing.

  • Off the beaten track about a mile or so from Turriff town centre; ideal for those seeking rest and relaxation. The property was very clean, very well equipped and our host was first class in communicating with us - my wife & I stayed on a coldish November weekend and were greeted by a roaring log-fire as we entered which set the tone perfectly. The milk, biscuits and preserves left for us were a great touch. Highly recommended and we'll visit again when next in the area.

Eva's Cottage is an 18th century fisherman's cottage located in the historic fishing village of Gardenstown which is designed to cater for 5 guests. It has a cosy living room with real fire, an open plan dining area and kitchen, 3 bedrooms and a bathroom with bath and overhead shower.
  • Breathtaking views and a super cozy cottage!

    Mattias2020-03-09T00:00:00Z
  • We have been to Eva’s many times, we love it there. It’s the perfect cottage for a break away from it all and the seafront location just cannot be beaten. Cosy, homely, clean. Ideal.

  • Lovely views and so cozy with the fireplace.

    Tobias2020-01-02T00:00:00Z
  • What a find. A cosy cottage with everything you need - including incredible views and instant access to the beach. Take a walk to Crovie for a step back in time. We found it easiest to park in the main village car park (signposted) and walk to the cottage.

    Theresa2019-12-27T00:00:00Z
  • Amazing location and a lovely, welcoming house. We will be back.

    Fiona2019-10-25T00:00:00Z
  • Wonderful stay in lovely cottage. Amazing location, right on the sea wall in picturesque and interesting little fishing village. We loved the beach, only a few feet from the front door. Great walks locally. Loads to do and see further afield too. Recommend Cullen beach, Glenglassaugh distillery, Spey Bay Dolphin Centre. Friendly local pub. Eva's was comfortable and spotlessly clean. Very welcoming - heaters were on for our arrival on a chilly October evening. Loved the log burner, very cosy at night. We'll definitely be back.

    Martin2019-10-12T00:00:00Z
  • Eva’s is the most wonderful cottage - location, amenities, hosts - all perfect.

    Linda2019-09-27T00:00:00Z
  • If you want to wake up and go to sleep listening to the ocean right outside, walk the beach, collect sea glass and enjoy the antics of the many different sea birds, or watch the little fishing boats coming in and out of the small picturesque harbour, this is the perfect location - especially for keen artists and photographers! The locals and other visitors are really friendly and there are many wonderful places to visit round about, on foot or by car. Eva's Cottage was spotless, well equipped, comfortable, and the check-in process could not have been easier. The wood-burning stove and cosy wool blankets made for the perfect end to each day outdoors. Iain is the perfect host and communication was prompt, friendly and helpful. I had the most wonderful holiday in this beautiful coastal village and am already looking forward to my next visit.

No 10 is a super comfortable cozy little house for you to relax in! Right in the heart of Portsoy it is close to all the attractions but on a quiet street with a lovely south facing garden for sitting out. This is our family holiday house so a true home from home we'd love to share with you.
The house has one comfortable bedroom with a king-sized bed and lots of storage. The sitting room has a sofa bed for any additional guests. The bathroom enjoys a large separate shower.
Portsoy is a vibrant, friendly village. There is lots to occupy you with stunning coastal walks on the braes and beaches, a local distillery, lovely cafes and shops in the village and nearby, excellent fish and chips, a local baker, not to mention the world famous Portsoy ice-cream! The village is ideally placed for exploring the Aberdeenshire and Moray coast and inland with all it's attractions.
  • A very comfortable and warm cottage, perfectly located for all the amenities of Portsoy, yet on a very quiet side street. The cottage has a fully stocked kitchen with everything you need for easy self catering, all in great condition. The cottage was spotlessly clean, and had lots of extra linen and towels etc, some well stocked bookshelves and some puzzles and DVDs. Lesley and Margaret were very welcoming, giving tailored tips for the amazing local area, explaining how to work the appliances etc. I couldn't have wished for a better place to stay, the location, hosts and comfort of the cottage are all 5*.

    Andrew2019-09-21T00:00:00Z
  • This holiday home truly feels like a home; a lovely location in a very friendly village and a warm welcome. There are so many places to visit close by and it's a pleasure to return to such a well appointed home. The absence of Wifi is a blessing but there is a good mobile signal for those who really don't want to be out of contact. Looking forward to a return visit.

    Helen2019-09-14T00:00:00Z
  • The cottage was absolutely spotless and had everything we could have needed. Lovely bathroom and well equipped kitchen! There were so many thoughtful touches that we soon felt at home and relaxed straight away. It is perfectly located for the high street amenities and just a very short walk to the beautiful Portsoy harbour. It doesn't have wi-fi, but we had no problem accessing the internet via our mobile phones (Vodafone), so it couldn't have been better. We will definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it.

This cosy cottage is the ideal choice for anyone looking to get away from it all. The cottage is decorated with comfort in mind. There is a log fire in the downstairs lounge and a living area upstairs which makes this cottage ideal for families. There is a contained garden to the rear and also a utility shed which can hold bikes if required. All the bedrooms are fitted with carpets for comfort and the downstairs bedroom has an en-suite bathroom. A charming old cottage in lovely Cullen.
The whole cottage and garden is available to use without restrictions.
Cullen is famous for a number of reasons. Firstly, the breathtaking scenery, which is best seen from the nearby Cullen beach. Cullen beach is a vast sandy beach and has views across Moray Firth. There are many walks that can be accessed and bike paths. Cullen is also renowned for it’s Cullen Skink soup which is made with smoked haddock and is part of the towns heritage. The ice cream shop in Cullen needs no introduction as it serves the best ice cream in Moray. You are in for a treat with the many cafes and restaurants in the area and the newly renovated Seafield Arms restaurant.
