Pools were great and provided refreshing breaks from the heat when on site. Outdoor dining area was really nice for evenings we ate in. We used a local concierge to prepare two dinners for all eight in our party and the dining no area served well for these. Home was only 10-15 minutes from Palm Beach and many restaurants. Rooms were great and provided different alternatives.
anthony2017-05-16T00:00:00ZHouse is in poor repair. Doors have huge gaps allowing air conditioning to escape and mosquitoes to come in. We have 29 previous trips to the Caribbean under our belts. Have rented many homes/villas in the past. We don't expect perfection, but this place was substandard for the price charged. Tremendous potential. Amazing property. Needs serious maintenance.
John2017-05-05T00:00:00ZGreat place! Truly as the pictures display. It would be nice to be closer to the ocean but once you are in this tropical paradise you will appreciate all it has to offer. It's quiet, tranquil and has the amenities that you won't find normally. I am still amazed at the huge rocks that separate the beautiful property.
Greg2017-04-29T00:00:00ZI am hesitant to tell anyone how fabulous this house was and risk it not being available the next time I go to Aruba, but I feel my incredible hosts, Stuart and Maria, deserve only a truthful review. The first 2 days in this paradise we had no desire to leave the house to see any of the riches Aruba had to offer. (Unlike a hotel resort where every minute you spend in the room feels wasted). The beauty of the living space so incorporated with the outdoors was fantastic. We would mill about the kitchen having snacks and wine, then every so often take a couple steps to one pool or the other to cool off, then lounge about in the sun. Then repeat. With the walls of the bedroom open everything is only few steps away. Brewing a cup coffee first thing in the morning to the sounds of birds singing just set a great mood for the day. The property has so many features that any member of the family could find a quiet spot away from the rest of us, whether it be the hammocks, the cave, the far pool, the meditation tent, the yoga room, the theatre or someplace in between. Although it's location so far inland may strike you as an inconvenience, it offers so much. It is very quiet and tranquil both at night and during the day, yet centrally located to everything Aruba has to offer. Most places were no more than a 10 minute drive. Once out of the house, we couldn't wait to get back. I could say a lot more, but as I look over my review, I realize I have given away more than I intended.
Erik2017-04-14T00:00:00ZPerfect time of year in the perfect spot. April 1-8, eight lifelong friends celebrating various milestone birthdays and it couldn't have been better. The trade winds kept us cool and bug free and this open air home was the perfect blend of natural beauty and great amenities. The house is splendid and we really appreciated the beauty and the intention that created it. We definitely felt calm and at ease, just coming through the gates. The pictures are accurate and true. Stuart and Marie are great and so is the cleaning staff. This house is actually the only reason we chose to do our "big chill" vacation in Aruba...and it has raised the bar for any future locations. If there's a breeze, don't hesitate to sleep under the stars in the outdoor bed. We were provided with fresh linens and a mosquito net was installed. Wonderful!
Terry2017-04-09T00:00:00ZWe were 10 adults vacationing for a few birthday celebrations. The home was so unique with it's open living space, but offered privacy in the bedrooms. It was perfect for us. The bunk room was functional enough, however we would probably look for a home with 4 - 5 bedrooms if we traveled with the same group again. Stuart was outstanding in his responsiveness and helpfulness. The few issues we had were resolved immediately. The setting is just beautiful with the pools, gardens, hammocks, etc. We used the yoga pavilion nearly every morning for our workouts. Felt this gave us permission to really enjoy the fine dining on the island! We only dined under the palapa one evening, it was such a unique experience. Far and away this was one of our best vacations. We had a fabulous time!
Donna2017-03-18T00:00:00ZWhat a great place! 4 couples stayed at the Bali Retreat for 4 nights and we had such a great time. The house was extremely spacious and we never felt like we were stepping on each others toes. If you're going for a couples trip, the 4th bedroom is a bit of a compromise for a couple, but great for young kids. The two pools, gym, pool bar, theatre and outdoor space always gave us plenty to do while at the house. The house is about a 10 minute drive to all the fun activities, and felt close to everything - a rental car is a must though. Luckily, there is parking provided inside the gated walls. All in all we had a great stay and Stuart was very accommodating - even allowing a last minute late check out!
Mason2017-02-28T00:00:00ZWe just returned from 9 nights in paradise at the Aruba Bali Retreat. Except for one semi rainy day we were able to enjoy the outdoor living of the retreat. We were an extended family of three groups including littles ( 3 year old and 4 month old). It was perfect for us to have our private bedrooms and baths but still have areas to be together. The 4th bedroom does not have its own bathroom. We really appreciated Nd used the provided Garmin and mobile phone. Stuart and company were quick to respond to any needs and questions. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone traveling to the beautiful island of Aruba! Just know that the commons space is all open air. We loved our stay!

The apartment is an excellent option to stay on the island for those who want to leave all inclusive and enjoy the beaches and attractions hotels. The apartaestudio features you need to cook and have a comfortable and enjoyable stay. The pool is very nice and provides relaxing moments. Overall everything very well and would lodge. Fernando host is very helpful and willing to provide information immediately, since reserves until the end of the stay. Likewise, you'll have all the privacy you need. Highly recommended to rent a vehicle for movilizarte on the island, public transport is limited. Recomendadísimo !!!
Hernando2017-05-03T00:00:00ZFernando's place is amazing! My lady and I felt at home immediately upon arrival. It's comfortable and clean, well furnished and just a generally nice place. The bed is big and the A/C keeps it comfortable for sleeping. The bathroom is nice. It has a big shower with on demand hot water, which is nice (though it is Aruba so a cool shower could be nice too). The kitchen is stocked with essential cooking utensils and plates. There are pots, pans, strainers as well as glasses and the like. We did most of our cooking on the charcoal grill. Fernando did have charcoal and lighter fluid but we bought some more (seemed the nice thing to do). The neighborhood was nice. There are a couple of small convenience stores nearby. The beach is a ten minuite walk away. And the Eagle Beach area, with lots of shops, restaurants, and bars is about a half-hour away. Fernando was always quick to answer any questions we had. He also gave us great advice on places to go and things to do. He even arranged a pick-up in front of the house for car rental! Car-venience by the way took very good care of us and set us up with a new car for a good price. My girlfriend and I both agree that this was our best vacation to date, I think it has to do with Fernando and all the other awesome people we met in Aruba. It doesn't hurt that Aruba is simply beautiful and a great place to be... We'd love to visit again and would definitely stay at Fernando's place!
Ryan2017-04-28T00:00:00ZThe apartment of Fernando is super centrally located and you can reach the Palm Beach walk or other beaches by bus or taxi. When we met we got along well. For a few relaxing days Kitchen equipment is sufficient, a great dinner but you should not plan, it would then but some utensils missing. If you decide to take care of herself is advisable a car as the supermarket around the corner will bear much. Staying here is highly recommended and we had a few nice days in Aruba!
Nina2017-04-15T00:00:00ZThis place is in the perfect location to get all the benefits of Aruba without the costs of a hotel. It had great wifi and air con so apartment was always comfortable. Fernando was an awesome host - quick with communication and very helpful!! Also loved being greeted in the mornings by the coolest Caribbean cat on the island... we hope to come back some day!!
Tamara2017-04-10T00:00:00Zcant say enough good things about the location as well as the overall experience. If you rent a car you can explore the island freely, if not you are walking distance to just about anything you would want to do on the island. Felt safe and comfortable the whole time I was there, would stay again and absolutely recommend to a friend.
John Connor2017-03-27T00:00:00ZWe had a great stay at Fernando's place. He was very timely with any communication and helped arrange our car rental a few weeks before we arrived. The room was as expected and the location is close to the more commercial resort areas of the beach. Overall Fernando's place was a great home base for our Aruban vacation - highly recommended! Also his cool cat is big plus!
James2017-02-28T00:00:00ZHe is a great host and he helps his guest about everything!!
yasemin2017-02-20T00:00:00ZFernando was a great host! The place was clean and he was very accomodating to our needs. He also provided suggestions for places to eat/drink which was very helpful!

You won't regret booking Paul and Susana's studio apartment. The pool, BBQ, and hammock make this the perfect little getaway. It's super close to lots of beaches, bars, and restaurant. Definitely get a rental car so you can go to and from at your convenience, but everything is a very very short drive away. We loved staying here so much and definitely beats any resort or hotel.
Shannon2017-05-16T00:00:00ZSusana and her husband are the sweetest! Super helpful with getting our car rental , making sure we were enjoying our vacation, comfortable and so much more. Next visit to aruba we will definitely be staying here again . They also have the sweetest dog named Lola. The pool was so nice and convenient to enjoy when we didn't want to go to the beach. Overall my husband and I loved our stay !
Chelsea2017-05-06T00:00:00ZThis is an Amazing place to stay short or long term. Susana and his Husband are great hosts and for sure I will highly recommend this place to all my friends, family and related.
Jorge2017-04-30T00:00:00ZThis air bnb was more wonderful than I ever expected! The hosts were gracious, generous and willing to help with whatever was needed. I would HIGHLY recommend this to anyone traveling to Aruba :)
Rachel2017-04-17T00:00:00ZSusana and her husband were very gracious and kind during our stay in Aruba. They helped to arrange a rental car, always available for questions. Wifi connection is great. Provided us with beach chairs and towels. It's just a short drive to the beaches and shops. I would highly recommend staying here with one other person. Thank you!!
Jessica2017-04-03T00:00:00ZLove this place! The hosts were super awesome and friendly. They gave us great suggestions on places to go - arashi beach and boca Catalina beach are the best beaches! Not crowded and beautiful sand and water! Cafe 080 is just around the block and always friendly and fun crowd. Paul and Susanna were so sweet. They picked us up from airport and helped us get to the car rental place before bringing us to the house. House was beautiful and clean. Love our stay here and will be back when we can!
Po2017-03-27T00:00:00ZIt was so nice to come back to the private pool after a day at the beach and not have to fight other guests for chair. Loved having a grill to cook up some chicken or burgers.
Allen2017-03-24T00:00:00ZWe really enjoyed our stay here! Paul, Susanna and their son are amazing hosts and provided warm hospitality to us during our stay. They made us feel very welcome in their home and did such a great job taking care of my husband and I and our two small boys. The house was well equipped to make us comfortable during our stay and was a really great place to relax and swim before and after exploring the island. The location is perfect as it is very close to many beautiful beaches, a great yoga studio and excellent restaurants. We are already talking about how we can make another trip next year:)

This was an amazing find. Words can not express how beautiful and serene this oasis is. I went on vacation with my 21 year old daughter. If you want to chill and relax and get the feel of the Island this is for you. First you notice the amazing view, then you walk into a wonderful courtyard perfect for chilling. Our room was nice and neat and the AC is great at night. We did cook a little bit and everything was there. A Bullet for smoothies was nice too. The hammocks were great for a siesta in the afternoon. Everyone we meet there was amazing. The local bar had great Mussels so we went there a couple of times. The snorkeling I will say is the best on the Island too. Still can't believe how beautiful the waster was. So relaxing. We brought our own gear but they do have it available. The other nicer restaurant down the street was Marina Pirita it was amazing, tell Shiela Jayne sent you. Sit right on the water and watch the sunset!!. Bus stop is about three blocks away too, we took it into town a couple of times. Everything was pretty easy to get too. We loved the people we meet especially the hosts. We are definitely going back next year.
Jayne2017-05-16T00:00:00ZAlessandra the space is great! Perfect location! Near the beach baby ... that for us is the most beautiful beach on the island! We were very well received by his mother ... very caring person! Super recommend!
Roberta2017-04-23T00:00:00ZThe place is in front of a beautiful lagoon where you can swim or snorkel. Each room have a private patio very well decorated with nice outdoor furniture and the owner provide you with snorkelling gear. I would definitely book this place again.
Katerie2017-04-22T00:00:00ZWe just returned from a 6 night stay on the island, and this place was better than we could have imagined!! The indoor space is very simple and basic. Windchimes, hammocks and beautiful greenery make the outdoor courtyard area is so serene! We were nervous about how small the kitchen looked and it being outdoors, but that was no problem. It had all of the comforts of home (except an oven, but who has time for that on vaca) and it was great to have the open air when cooking over a hot stove. A small market is walking distance frome the home, it's no supermarket but it has all the basics. Great snorkeling at the beach right across the street!! Our hosts were absolutely wonderful, very friendly and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. We would definitely stay here again!
Ariel2017-04-14T00:00:00ZThis place was a really lucky find. Savaneta is a quiet and peaceful suburb away from the tourist centres of Aruba. A beautiful lagoon is directly across the street and there's snorkelling gear on hand, if you don't have your own. The sun sets out over the ocean and it's an amazing place to sit with a beer. There are four different spaces that Alessandra, Maria and their family have to rent out. We were in one at the back of the property that had a small living area, bedroom, bathroom and kitchenette. It's all very simple, but a very comfortable space. We spent all of our time outdoors in the hammocks or on our private couches. Just a heads up that this place - like many in Aruba - only have cold water. In the hot climate though, it wasn't hard to get used to. Our only issue was that we had to keep the windows closed because of mosquitoes and the air conditioner was very loud. We got used to it, though! There's a couple of restaurants within walking distance so if you don't have a car, you'll be okay (although it's definitely easier to get around in a rental). The family were so kind and helpful, but also kept their space and gave us our privacy. They were the perfect hosts. Thank you and we hope to be back again soon!
Ria2017-04-08T00:00:00ZEverything was great, Allessandra and her husband were great hosts, even picked us up when we got lost :) Only problem: there are a lot of mosquitos around the house, we had to be really careful. Other than that excellent stay and highly recommended.
Ivan2017-04-01T00:00:00ZThis was a wonderful place to stay!! If you are looking for something off the beaten path, this is it. The snorkeling is great & is right out front! The owners have 2 kayaks available & there is a nice little beach area in front of the. We spent our nights on the beach, drinks in hand, listening to the waves. There is no hot water. I didn't mind the cool water in the shower, but I definitely wasn't going to linger. It is easy enough to get to the bus stop which was a quick ride into town and there are a couple restaurants/bars to walk to. However, the food in Savaneta was nothing special. After a couple days on the island, we decided to rent a Jeep to go around the entire island which was so much fun! There are also better restaurants & grocery stores downtown and just west of the airport. Overall, a wonderful trip & fantastic hosts!
Lindsey2017-03-29T00:00:00ZVery nice hosts! Beautiful view onto the sea Away from all the hustle and bustle Hotel

We had four relaxed days at Boleros Apartment. Our appartment was beautyful furnished. As we like cooking, the kitchen was well equipped and the air-conditon was very welcome. Frances just started building up the garden, so the young plants did not spend much shadow. And we never felt unsecure because of the very kind dog patrol :-)
Bernd2017-03-31T00:00:00ZWe loved our stay at Francis & Inger's lovely home! They were warm, welcoming hosts. The space was clean, modern and comfortable. We loved the outdoor shower, and appreciated that they provided beach towels, beach chairs, scuba gear, and a cooler for our trips to the beach. We rented a car for easy access around the island, and if you decide to do so, there's a parking space right in front. I recommend Francis and Inger's place without reservation.
Erin2017-03-08T00:00:00ZMeeting people like Francis and Inger is why you get so much more from staying with native hosts than from traditional hotels. Their place was just as it looked like in the pictures, but the pictures can't convey how much we felt at home, and how much we learned about Aruban culture, food, language, and customs. We want to go back, and can't imagine staying anywhere else.
Jean2017-03-02T00:00:00ZFrancis and Inger are wonderful hosts, they were very friendly and helpful. The apartment was spacious, very clean and modern. The bed was comfortable, lots of clean white towels, a really nice bathroom and kitchen. They provided beach towels, chairs, a small cooler, and snorkeling equipment. The location was near everything we wanted to do. If you are thinking about Aruba, you should book this apartment.
Paula2017-02-18T00:00:00ZOMGEE!! What can I say? This place was AMAZING! We enjoyed our stay at Boleros Unit C. It was clean, nice and had all the amenities we needed. Beach chairs, cooler, snorkel gear all provided. The property was clean, the dogs were friendly and Frances and Inger were just the cutest couple and very friendly. They talked with us for at least 3 hours about their lives and Aruba. Totally would stay here again, in a heart beat. If you use Map.me app, you will have no problem getting to this unit or anywhere in the island. So if you are looking for somewhere to stay in Aruba, look no further, THIS IS IT! Frances and Inger, thank you all for the hospitality you made us feel so welcome and we greatly appreciate it! See you soon!
Donna2017-02-12T00:00:00ZThis was our first time staying at an airbnb , so we were a little nervous , but Boleros Aruba was exactly what we hoped for . Inger was more than a super host, she was absolutely perfect . We did not meet Francis as he was away on a trip . The accommodation was beautiful and had everything we needed plus much more . I do recommend to rent a car or better yet ..a jeep . The location is perfect as it is away from the hustle and bustle of the hotel and downtown area , yet still within a short drive . Be sure to read the quest book as is contains lots of great information . If you plan on traveling to sunny Aruba , you can't go wrong by staying here . For us it will be one vacation that we will remember and cherish forever !
Mark2017-01-28T00:00:00ZFrancis and Inger are wonderful hosts, with the added benefit that they live right there in an adjacent unit. This means that they are readily available to share their knowledge of their beautiful island. The apartment is modern, tastefully decorated, and well kept. It has a fully equipped kitchen if you want to prepare meals, a sitting area, a comfortable bed and a lovely bathroom/shower. The air-conditioning works efficiently keeping those of us not used to island temperatures nice and cool. The location is excellent - far enough away from the main tourist areas to be really quiet, but yet in close proximity to everything (12 minutes from downtown Oranjestad, 15 minutes from a choice of beaches). We would recommend a rental car for ease of experiencing all that Aruba has to offer. If you trust your (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps you will find Francis and Inger with ease along with everything else on the island. Francis and Inger: thanks for making our first trip to Aruba a wonderful experience. If we come again we wouldn’t hesitate to book with you!
Jeremy2017-01-10T00:00:00ZThe place is gorgeous and has everything you'd need. It's about 5-10 minute drive to palm and eagle beach and definetly would suggest having a rental car because taxi rides can be expensive. Overall a great stay in a secluded and quiet area not far from the night life, beaches and downtown! And the host are very friendly and welcoming!

Some like the resorts, big hotels with glitter and glamor. We chose Kris's accommodation because it's like stepping into a comfortable, soothing dream. The scenery and the house just wrapped around us and lulled us into a dream. We slept and woke in a setting we'd never experienced before. We're definitely going back as soon as we can.
Mike 2017-05-02T00:00:00ZThis place is paradise. The hosts went above and beyond ... we will be coming back to this house 10000% a true gem all around. Thank you Kris & Val for such great hospitality!
Benjamin2017-04-24T00:00:00ZOur stay was wonderful. Group of 4 stayed very comfortably. Excellent suggestions were made for local activities /tours/ guides/ restaurants. We had to call for a few things while we were there and Val picked up immediately and was able to quickly help us with our questions. If you are travelling with someone with difficulty scaling stairs... There are quite are few stairs down to the beach and you have to step down from a concrete platform to the beach maybe 18in or so in some spots. There are rocks to take an alternative route down as well. There are a few steps to get up unto the house from the parking spot once you come in the gate. My mom was unable to take advantage of the beach but the seating areas on the deck and the beautiful view still made it a great value. Everything you see in the pictures is in great condition. All utensils/pots you will need are available. Baby beach and Rogers beach are amazing and it was great to not have to drive too far. Driving is a necessity as taxis are a bit pricey. It is very very easy to get around don't worry and you will be provided excellent instructions to the house. Honestly this place was so perfect we could have spent the whole 8 days hanging out there. If you choose this spot you will not regret it.
Ariane2017-04-19T00:00:00ZWhat a wonderful home! Kris and Val are awesome hosts and did a wonderful job of making us comfortable during our stay. The home is incredible, and awesome for hosting multiple couples who like to "zen out" and get away from the hustle and bustle. The private beach is perfect for younger families, as you can snorkel from your backyard! All in all, great trip and great host. Thank you
Adam2017-03-18T00:00:00ZBeautiful house with an amazing view. Evelyn took care of us beyond our expectations. What a wonderful experience.
Sony2017-01-27T00:00:00ZThe house is located in San Nicolas at the end of the island to 30 minutes drive from the capital, 5 minutes from super car and 5 minutes from baby beach for me the best beach The house is equipped with what you need and beautifully decorated S ñora you receive Evelyn is always present and ready for what you need The house has at the bottom a gate where you enter to the beach which is only for the member of the house and no one else gets to there It is a beautiful and peaceful place to rest The airport is about 20 minutes drive and is very easy to drive around Aruba and if need be or if your destination We spent a lovely holiday You travel the island in two hours from one end to the other as it is very small and you have plenty to do both day and night It really was a beautiful choice

La Casita is beautiful! Patrizia is a great host! We really enjoyed our days at the Pool and luckily we had it all for ourselves. Nobody was in the villa that is next to the casita so that we had amazing quite days. Thank you Patrizia!!! ️Bacio
tanja2014-11-01T00:00:00ZI loved this little Casita! It is a guest house with a private entrance just as it appears in the pictures. Air conditioning works great and Patrizia has towels, chairs, snorkel masks etc for guests to use. I would recommend renting a car, it is only $35 per day and you will probably spend that on cabs anyways. It's great for hopping from beach to beach which is what we did most of the time. Read the previous review about the bathroom door and make sure you're comfortable with your traveling partner. Eat wherever Patrizia recommends. We ate at two of the places, Yumanji and Zeerover and they were our favorite meals of the trip.
Melissa2015-09-22T00:00:00ZLa Casita by the beach is like a small paradise. Our host Patrizia is a lovely soul. Her communication before our arrival was excellent. She provided a list of places of interesst and restaurants. This was very helpful and we enjoyed several of the suggestions from her list. The description of the property and the pictures are very accurate. My husband and I spent a week here on our honeymoon. We liked the cozy apartment and the access to the pool where we could relax after a day of exploring on the island. The beaches of Aruba are so beautiful! The only aspect of our stay that we did not like was the fact that we were asked to turn off the A/C unit each time we left the apartment. After returning from an all day excursion the apartment is very hot and it takes a while to cool down. We enjoyed the quiet evenings lounging at the pool. I will note that several of our relaxing nights at the pool were hindered by the presence of the maid. It seemed like she was always creeping around at the most inopertune time. Overall we had a wonderful honeymoon! We love Aruba!! Airbnb is a great resource to save on lodging.
Vicki2015-10-12T00:00:00ZMillion thanks for a fantastic stay Patrizia. We had a wonderful time at your lovely Casita. It was and is still a great start of our Caribbean tour. The accomomdation was very clean and nicely decorated. All necessary appliances etc were available. The pool area was so convenient, well maintained and relaxing. All the best from your Swedish friends ❤️! / Dzejna, Mirsad and little chica Ines
Dzejna2016-01-28T00:00:00ZMy friend and I stayed a week at the lovely Casita of Patrizia and it was fantastic! I highly recommended this place! First of all, the house is well equipped, has a beautiful private (!) swimming pool and several places to sit and relax. Also, the location is perfect, super close to the beach so we didn't need a car for the whole week, since we could just walk to the beach in about 5 minutes. I prefer the beaches on this side of the island; its beautiful to swim, snorkel and kitesurf/windsurf. Patrizia also provides snorkeling equipment. Communication with Patrizia was excellent, she always responded quickly and was very helpful. Thank you so much Patrizia! We would definitely come back and stay at you place again!
Saskia2014-09-20T00:00:00ZCosy accomodation with all you need, as described in the ad! Perfect airconditioning, strong wifi and such a pleasant swimming pool and resting area. Patrizia is always available with tips and advice to make your stay even better. La Casita is close to nice beaches and retaurants/bars in Northern Aruba (a car is recommended though). Really really recommended!
Matteo2014-12-28T00:00:00ZThis was one of my favorites AIRBNBs to ever stay in, especially for the price! Though Patrizia was out of country she was very fast with her communication, and her maid Natalie helped us with the airbnb while we stayed in Aruba. Patrizia took care of everything we needed beforehand and was still able to give us amazing recommendations! Internet was very speedy which was great for working while we were there.
Kristina2016-11-09T00:00:00ZWow! What a host! Patrizia was so friendly and welcoming and made our stay extremely enjoyable and carefree. She was extremely communicative making sure that we had everything we needed and suggested things to do locally. The room itself was very clean and had everything that we could need for our stay. Perfect for 2 people! The pool area was beautiful! Very clean also and the decor was very special. Patrizia was out of the country during our stay so her maid Natalie was there to take care of anything we needed.. even booking dinner reservations! I would recommend Patrizia's home to anyone who is looking for a private getaway on the beautiful island of Aruba!

It was a nice clean place, friendly neighbourhood and Tina was more than helpful! If you are going to stay here make sure you rent a car. The communication with Tina was perfect, she was always reachable. She provided us with beach chairs, cooler and sundries which was more than helpful in making trip enjoyable! Aruba was a blast!
Khalidah2017-05-14T00:00:00ZCristina was an excellent host. This is the 2nd time we stayed with her. Always offered to help us out, including pick us up from the airport, and provided us with beach chairs. She was always in communication with us, and told us where to go in Oranjestad for local places to eat or drink. We would definitely stay with her when we visit Aruba again!
Shane2017-04-29T00:00:00ZCristina was the PERFECT host. She had 100% communication with us the entire time with directions to and from Queen Beatrix airport, including any sights to see around the island. She always offered to help us out in any way possible, including providing us chairs for the beach! Her place was very clean & welcoming with kitchen and A/C. Would stay here every time we visit Aruba!
Shane2017-04-24T00:00:00ZLocation in a residential area, not walk able, if you have no rental car than this is not for you, no shops or anything around, to the beach it would be 30-40 minutes walk through industrial area in hot sun, the airbnb address was not accurate, even after we booked we received directions to an area more south of the displayed area in airbnb, so further away from the beach. The apartment was a little bit run down, could use a renovation, very basic, very few windows, felt like a basement apartment. Cristina was very nice and friendly and drove me to the airport after my friends left earlier with the rental car (we had different flights). Aruba is nice but would stay somewhere else the next time if i have to drive to the beach and shops anyway.
Constanze2017-04-18T00:00:00ZCristina's house is a great bargain and she was very helpful to us during our stay of eight days. The house is centrally located - 5 minutes by car to Eagle Beach, 5 minutes to downtown Oranjestad and not much more than that to Palm Beach and Noord. A car, which Cristina was able to provide for us, is essential. We had a wonderful vacation. A few things to be aware of: There is no hot water in the house, but we did not find this to be problematic- tap water is comfortably warm for showers and hot water for dishwashing or anything else can be had quickly using an electric kettle; there is no natural light in the house, there is a very nice screened in front porch; there don't seem to be accurate road maps for Aruba, street signs are few and far between and don't match with the street names on (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) Maps so it is wise to take careful note of where you go and how you get there; the accurate address of the house is Paradijs 4, Oranjestad - we were not allowed to leave the airport until Cristina texted us the right address. Aruba is a great place to go for warm weather, beaches, good food and more. We had a wonderful vacation staying at Cristina's place.
Peter2017-03-29T00:00:00ZChristina was very helpful from start to finish. The house was very clean and I felt safe staying in her home with just myself and 3 kids.
Heather2017-03-20T00:00:00ZCristina was an amazing host for our trip to Aruba. We really appreciated her hospitality, friendliness, and the communication was clear and easy all times. She gave us a ride home from the airport and also gave us rides multiple times throughout the week. The space was accurate to the pictures and we had no problems at all with the wifi. There was a very sweet dog that came to visit us at the porch that you should look out for here. I would definitely stay here again if I was visiting. Worth the money but I would 100% recommend a rental car because you will spend significantly more on cab rides.
Ally2017-03-13T00:00:00ZTina picked us up from the airport ( and dropped us off too!), and that was a huge relief not to have to try and find her place. We also rented a car from a friend of hers and that worked out well for us. Tina made sure we knew where everything was and was quick to respond with any questions we had. She brought us a "hunk" of gouda which we both purchased later to take home with us. The AC in the bedrooms worked very well and in fact - cooled the entire place. Full size fridge and everything you needed to cook easy meals. The bathroom contains a cool water shower ( we had hoped maybe hot water would have been installed, but....)It is not bad at all - as a matter of fact neither of us even noticed after a couple of minutes in it. There is also a little porch and we made good use of that most evenings after the sun went down. It is screened in, and has a couple of table chairs as well as a couple of comfy ones too! The place is within 2km ( 1.5 miles) from the ship terminal and all the shops. There is even a local market on the way to pick up cheaper T-shirts and baseball caps - definitely worth the trip. The are a couple of grocery stores nearby if you don't have a car. Some dogs barked the first couple of nights for a little bit and there is apparently a rooster crowing each morning, but I beat him up because I went out running before the sun came up. My friend heard him a couple of times. Eagle Beach is also within walking distance - less than two miles each way. ( be warned - chairs are $8 and umbrella $25. Tina works very hard to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible and I have no reservations suggesting you stay at her place. It is exactly as described in her description.

Janine's place is beautiful. The pool area is definitely the main attraction and we wish we had more time to spend here. Janine was very accommodating with all of our requests. One thing to know is there is only hot water in the morning. The rest of the day the water is mild. Overall, it was something we got used to and likely would not prevent us from staying here in the future.

PHE2017-03-20T00:00:00ZWe had a wonderful stay at MangooZ! The space itself is lovely and in a quiet location, and only a short drive from the nearest beaches. While we did not interact with Janine during the trip, her husband was readily accessible and always willing to give recommendations on places to eat and places to go. There is a grocery store that is also just down the street making for quick and easy snack runs! Otherwise, everything is as advertised. :)
JT2017-03-08T00:00:00ZWe had a great week. We usually went in the morning out and had afternoon the pool to ourselves! The resort is located in a residential area, but within the port is beautifully made with care and love where it is excellent place to be.
Jan2017-01-31T00:00:00ZJanine and Rick were great! This place is great! Everything about it is great! This being our first time using Airbnb, we were skeptical, but we couldnt have been any happier with our experience. I honestly have nothing negative to say...a great place to stay, with wonderful hosts. If I had to add one thing, it would be that there is no microwave in your amazing little outdoor kitchen. Stove, sink, pots and pans, etc are all there though. Just something to keep in mind.
mpbndc2017-01-19T00:00:00ZComfortable home with beautiful pool and a nice garden. Janine and Rick are very welcoming and helpful. We have had an excellent stay.
Meinke2016-10-26T00:00:00ZAbsolutely superb, just like expected maybe better...I loved the place.
radu marian2016-09-26T00:00:00ZWe absolutely loved staying at MangooZ! We are a family of five, so we stayed in the two bedroom apt., which has two oversized bedrooms and one large luxurious bath. The outdoor kitchen was super cool, so cool that I actually didn't even mind cooking or doing dishes. The pool is beyond beautiful. After trekking around the island all day, we would come back and unwind poolside. The owners are very kind. They let us borrow beach chairs, maps, and when the map wasn't useful they would handwrite directions for us. They recommended some awesome sights, beaches, trails, restaurants, etc. They could not have possibly been any more helpful. Personally, we wouldn't stay anywhere else. At MangooZ there are no long lines, no overcrowded pools, no wait for elevators, no charge for parking or wifi. It is small, it is authentic, it is happy, it is very Aruba.

Julie2017-05-13T00:00:00ZBest place to stay in Aruba! The location is perfect, very close to all the hotels and restaurants. The place was very clean and organized, everything is modern and soooo comfortable. I recommend it 100%!
Maria2017-05-03T00:00:00ZExcellent location, very well located all by hand
Luis2017-04-28T00:00:00ZExcellent place, I would definitely
Luis2017-04-23T00:00:00ZBetter than a 5 star hotel!! Beautiful, clean, safe and spacious condo. We loved the outdoor grill and the location was perfect. Walking distance to shops and the beaches. We we defiantly stay here again. Easy check in and out. Owner kept in communication right up to the day we checked in. Katy the onsite manager was very polite and sweet. Always had clean towels and she is very knowledgable about the area.
Cynthia2017-04-18T00:00:00ZSerena's condo was perfect and was exactly the way it appears in the listing. The location is convenient and close to Palm Beach and shopping/restaurants. However I would recommend renting a car to explore. Would definitely stay at Serena's again as opposed to staying in a hotel.
Rayna2017-04-11T00:00:00ZLoved this place!!! Vibes were so amazing, great hospitality. The location was unbeatable as well. I would definitely go back to this exact same place next time.
Sanam2017-04-09T00:00:00ZWe had a fabulous time at Serena's place! Closer to the beach than I expected. We did rent a car to explore the island and would definitely recommend it. We would stay again for sure. Ps. The bed was better than the one at home!

My second stay at The Yellow Escape was as glorious as the first! I couldn't be more content to have all the amenities available to me in the middle of the island where I could explore at my leisure and live a typical Aruban lifestyle. While a car is essential it is impossible to get lost on the island and for those who love to explore all that Aruba has to offer this location is unbeatable. The pool is a total delight especially in the morning while having coffee on the patio, surfing the net. Then a trip to a beach and later another trip to a beach or other excursion of your choice. Cable TV and internet are important to me but the world does disappear and relaxation is a given. Roxanne is the perfect hostess and a delightful person to get to know. The kitchen was ideal for cooking and grocery stores are close. The ambiance couldn't be better!
Yolande2017-02-13T00:00:00ZOur stay was wonderful. Roxanne was a spectacular host. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Spent a lot of time in the pool. Great spot.
Jenna2017-01-30T00:00:00ZYellow Escape made my stay at Aruba incredible. It was in the middle of everywhere we wanted to go, yet remained quiet, and very peaceful. I felt safe. I felt at home. Roxanne keeps the place very clean, and it feels like you've lived there for years just after the first night. Its a great place for a family with kids, for just the couple, or even by yourself! Affordable, yet beautiful. I really feel because of Yellow Escape, i love Aruba. I honestly will plan my next trip to Aruba, around the availability of Yellow Escape.
Robert2017-01-23T00:00:00ZRoxanne is a wonderful host and always ready to assist you. The pool was relaxing, and the property was well maintained. We had a great vacation in a quiet area away from the hustle and bustle, but still close to everything we wanted. Would definitely stay there again!

Nitra2017-01-13T00:00:00ZFabulous stay here, will be coming back and staying again. I wanted privacy, peace n' quiet and its exactly what I got. The backyard view is amazing and I loved I had NO neighbours! Roxanne was an amazing host and helped me out if I needed something and didn't have it or know where to get it. She was gracious, kind and very accommodating. So happy I stayed Yellow Escape House instead of being at a loud and crowded hotel !!! Thanks so very much Roxanne.
Ryan2017-01-07T00:00:00ZRoxanne and her wonderful yellow escape home is a true gem in Aruba. She is wholly embodies the life of the island and made our vacation so wonderful - I can't even begin to describe it. We will FOR SURE be back to stay as we love it!
annabelle2016-12-29T00:00:00ZWe had spoken to Roxanne prior to our arrival and she was so helpful, friendly and warm. We just knew we would get along. And we did. We feel like we have made a new friend. Roxanne picked us up at the airport (although we had never met....we found each other) and even stopped at the grocery store on the way so we could have a few provisions right away. The accommodations were just like we saw in the pictures. It had everything we could want. We had a car and were able to drive to assorted beaches every day. The location is away from the touristy area and is so quiet and peaceful. We loved using the pool every morning and just before bed. Roxanne gave us our privacy but was always available if we needed her. We stayed a month and got into the routine of sharing a glass of wine by the pool with her in the evening. We would not stay anywhere else on our next trip to Aruba.

We just wanted to get away and unplug for a few days and ended up making friends here we can't wait to visit again. What an incredible trip. Marie and Alessandra are very gracious and friendly hosts. This was my first AirBnB trip. I didn't know what to expect. We couldn't have hoped for a better experience. The honeymoon suite we stayed in is very simple but clean and exactly what we wanted. They have several rooms of different sizes, so you can get whatever type of accommodations you need. It's true there is no hot water, and after you spend the day in the Aruban sun, believe me...you'll really enjoy the cool shower. The lack of hot water wasn't nearly as big a deal as I thought it might be. I wouldn't have turned the heat up even if I had the option. The neighborhood is not in the main touristy area of Aruba. It's about 20 minutes or so north. The neighborhood is quiet. The water is right across the street. There is a private beach about a 1 minute walk from the front door. We spent a good amount of time there, and it's amazingly unpopulated. Most of the time, we literally had the beach to ourselves. If you want to see the typical island attractions, you'll definitely want to rent a car. Taxis are available but very expensive. We found buses are available as well. They are super inexpensive but a little bit more of an adventure. Just depends on what type of deal you're looking for. The marina right down the street has the best grouper I've ever had in my life, and there is a food truck about a 10 minute walk from the house that has amazing empanadas and patacones. I highly recommend Zeerovers as well.
Christian2017-05-11T00:00:00ZWhat we have had a wonderful holiday with Alessandra and her mother Maria. Maria has ensured that we lacked for nothing! We slept in the "Mango Room"; a room with a wonderful mango tree outside the door. The room is small, but very clean and you absolutely do not need. Life is still just outside. The garden is beautifully maintained and looks nice. We had a small terrace outside the door, which was also fine. Next time we would only miezen for a room in the back garden. Here the garden is very big and you have a larger terrace with hammocks for the door. The rooms that have a kitchenette. We had incidentally have a refrigerator, coffee maker and air conditioning in the room. Maria also had before us towels so we did not have to rush from Netherlands (tasty traveling with only hand luggage!) And we could borrow snorkel sets. And this was very nice, because at 100 meters from the house is a beach with a mangrove where it is great snorkeling. The house you have a (not busy) road and there hstaan sun loungers on a beach. The beach is built on a rock, so it's not like you walk into the sea. There is a ladder there to be in the sea. You do really need a car to see the island. Savaneta is not much, a lot of good restaurants, but not within walking distance. Around the corner is called a supermarket and 100 meters a local pub where you can get something to eat. It does not look from the outside, but a very nice place where you will be directly taken up by the locals tips; Go eat at the Buccaneer! A restaurant where many local people come. The Flying Fishbone is what pricey, but you can eat and when you book you have a table in the surf. With your feet in the water watching the sunset. Very romantic! And Marina Pirata sits near the apartment. Also a nice restaurant on the water. Conclusion: we had a delicious!
Eva2017-04-29T00:00:00ZExcellent stay!!! Our hostess Maria was lovely and kind! The location is amazing, I would recommend renting a far as most restaurants/ businesses are a little far to walk. The beach across the street is the most beautiful I've ever seen. Easy to get around, very comfortable bed and apartment
EB2017-04-12T00:00:00ZWe had a Wonderful time here!
Trang2017-04-04T00:00:00ZPerfectly secluded away from the tourist traps and literally steps away from the best snorkeling on the island. John and his family were fantastic hosts who made the trip easy and enjoyable.
STEVEN2017-03-28T00:00:00ZI loved my room
joanne2017-03-22T00:00:00ZMarie and John are very kind. The place is the best snorkelplace from the whole island. The room I had rented is very clean and I had also enough privacy. I recommand highly to stay on this beautiful place.
Kristina2017-03-18T00:00:00ZThis is an ideal location to see and experience all that Aruba has to offer. The location is central to Baby Beach (a MUST do) as well as the California Lighthouse, high/low rise hotel area, downtown Oranjestad, and the national park. The beach across the street has great snorkeling as well and the most beautiful sunsets from the dedicated seating area directly across the street from the property. Also within a short drive are two amazing restaurants Barefoot and Flying Fishbone....within walking distance is Marina Pirita and a super local pub (not even sure of the name) but friendly, close to the public beach area and the beer is cold and the food basic, but fresh. We will be returning next year for another visit to this wonderful place and the welcoming hosts, John and Marie.

This was my first airbnb and I traveled solo, so I was worried. However, this was the best experience ever. The place is very cute, very clean, and loved the pool that is completely private. I can totally see why the reviews were great for Mirtha and her home and now it is my turn to add to them. I cannot sum up e everything. Mirtha was such a welcoming and super amazing host. The house was perfect and instructions were easy to follow through. She went above and beyond scheduling my taxi rides to the airport, checking in as needed to see if I were ok without being too much in my space. Even gave me a ride to the supermarket to do groceries while she was in the area. In brief, I felt like I was just visiting a family member that cared for me and who offered me a small villa to stay in. I got the opportunity to meet her adorable twins. So friendly and well behaved. She knows how to give you space if you want to be alone and at the same time she is willing to go the extra mile abs help out if needed. The most important thing is, I felt safe. The neighborhood is very safe. Being alone at a home could have been scary but not in Casa Coralina. I slept well and left the garden door open during the day when it was breezy and did not worry about safety. Aruba is safe in general but this location is even more so. It is not far from Eagle beach. Can ride to the airport was around 23 dollars so it is very affordable. I definitely enjoyed my stay and happy it took away my intimidation regarding using airbnb. Mirtha is a special lady and her home is the perfect place to vacation. I highly recommend it. I can go on and on, but I will leave it at this. If you are worried about being disappointed and want a sure place to stay that is up to expectations and maybe beyond, this is the place!
Hanan2017-04-26T00:00:00ZWhat a great property and host! The villa is beautiful and well appointed. It was the best part of our stay in aruba. We found ourselves referring to it as "home" and our own personal paradise. Clean kitchen, bathrooms, laundry, house, backyard, A/C and pool. Master bed was very comfortable. With two of us in the house, having the 3 bedrooms for personal storage and 2nd bath to use made the stay even more enjoyable. Having coolers, chairs, and leftover kitchen items to share were a great bonus. Check in/out was a breeze. Mirtha was a wonderful host, great personality, and was quick to respond to our inquiries to ensure we were comfortable and taken care of. Thank you! Will return.
Brian2017-04-18T00:00:00ZCasa Coralina was perfect for our family of 5! The 3 bedrooms allowed for space and great sleep for all of us. The backyard pool was amazing for early mornings and late afternoons after we had enough of the beach and exploring the island. Renting a Jeep was a great treat and made every destination on the island easily accessible. Superfoods is minutes from the house and was our go to for groceries and sunscreen. We loved being able to borrow beach toys for the kids, 4 great beach chairs, beach towels and the cooler to pack lunch with us each day. Mirtha is an excellent host and helped us find our way and was accessible if we needed her. Do not hestitate to stay here, book now!
Ember2017-04-01T00:00:00ZMirtha was one of the best Airbnb hosts I have had the chance to interact with and meet. She was very helpful, flexible, and responsive throughout our entire stay. The house itself was just as advertised, very clean, comfortable, well equipped with everything we needed throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend staying at Mirtha's place to anyone going on a trip to Aruba!
John2017-03-15T00:00:00ZDear Mirtha, thank you very much for your hospitality, your house is very comfortable, clean and well located and equipped, we charm the house, Aruba and its people !! we really enjoyed our stay and will be back for sure!
Maria Soledad2017-03-05T00:00:00ZGreat location, very clean, we had a great time with two couples here for eight days in February. Beach chairs, cooler, laundry, wifi, and a private pool were all well used.
Christy2017-02-26T00:00:00ZThis home was absolutely Perfect!!! The photos are exactly the way the house is. The back pool area is so relaxing and serene....You have your own private oasis!! The neighborhood was quiet. The home is centrally located. Very near restaurants, grocery, and Eagle Beach. If staying here I would definitely plan on a rental car. Though close to everything I wouldn't say it's within a walking distance. Value Aruba Rental Car had the best rates we could find. You can make reservations online. We enjoyed all the extra amenities that Mirtha's home had to offer. Each bedroom has its own AC unit, there are great beach chairs to use, coolers, plenty of beach towels, extra towels, sheets, and blankets. The kitchen has every appliance and utensil you would need.... right down to wine bottle opener, and wine glasses! We also paid an extra $25 to have a grill to use. We grilled out several times in our 10 day stay. Homes in Aruba typically do not have water heaters because it is so hot there. Therefore showers are lukewarm. I recommend showers in the pm when the water has been warmed by the sun through the day. After hot days in the sun lukewarm water was not a bad thing. Mirtha was very quick to respond to any questions I had. She even went out her way to make us dinner reservations for us to a place we couldn't get a hold of by phone. I will definitely stay in her home again when I return to Aruba. Mirtha and her family were excellent hosts!
Christina2017-02-18T00:00:00ZWhat a beautiful home that you have! We loved it! We would definitely use your home again! It was a paradise in the backyard especially!!

Staying at the Quaint house was a very pleasant experience, it was well equipped with all the essentials. The location of the house is perfect for people who want to explore the whole island half ways between either extremes, very close to the airport. Mariza was a great host, she provided lots of interest point to visit. Overall very pleased with the experience at her house. Thanks for your hospitality!
Luis2014-11-02T00:00:00ZWe really enjoyed spending time at Mariza's beautiful home. She is a very generous and caring host, she gave us a lot of useful tips and information about the island and it's culture. We absolutely loved the house, the garden and all the art that's in it and around it. There is a nice spacious porch where you can enjoy an early breakfast at one table, and have dinner at another, or just meditate in the hammock and listen to birds or just watch the stars. We are very thankful to Mariza for letting us stay at her house and making our vacation unique and unforgettable! :)
Alisa2017-01-26T00:00:00ZMariza was great, very helpful, and even took time out on Christmas Day to research and email me to let me know where I could find an open gas station before returning the rental. Her place is really cozy and comfortable, close to the airport and a quick drive to the main city center. Although I didn't have a chance to visit, there is a ferry within walking distance over to a secluded group of islands that I really wanted to check out - maybe next time. I would definitely recommend Mariza's place.
Peyton2011-12-27T00:00:00ZIt was our first time to Aruba and staying at Mariza's place was absolutely wonderful! Her house is amazing, and very cozy with a view of the Spanish Lagoon. Mariza met us at the airport and showed us around the house, as well as gave us ideas of what to do in the area. We spent a lot of our time diving at Mangel Halto Beach, which is only a few minutes drive - just perfect! I will most definitely be back! Thank you so much for everything Mariza!
Sara2014-09-28T00:00:00ZMariza is an amazing host. She gave us awesome Aruban tips on where to eat, and which is the ideal beach to hang out. Very trustworthy and easy to talk to. Also very accessible when the bathroom did something funny.
Adrienne2012-09-17T00:00:00ZMariza picked us up from the airport and also helped us to find a car rental. Its a bit out of the way from the high raise hotels but its great - you get a lot of peace and quiet that way. Its on a quiet neighborhood. She has a beautiful home, with everything - kitchen utensils and even maps to all of Aruba. We had lots of siestas with the ac on, and we did not go above her daily limit for electricity and water. She could have provided us with internet for an extra fee but we opted to go wifi free for our stay in Aruba. I would definitely recommend Mariza to my friends :)
Surya2015-03-30T00:00:00ZIt is certainly a pleasure to say how wonderful our stay was Mariza's place. My boyfriend and I decided to do a weekend getaway, and this was perfect for unwinding and relaxing from the busy work schedules. The house was very tidy and clean, the kitchen was well-equipped, and we loved the porch which we used for breakfast, lunch and sunset dinner with a view! Would definitely recommend this place. Without forgetting to mention that the back and forth communication with Mariza was excellent. Our only regret is that our stay was too short!
Edlin2017-04-17T00:00:00ZI had a great stay at Mariza's house. Don't get caught up in the tourist trap and pay $100'(s) of dollars a night! Stay with Mariza instead... and save a lot of money ....she was very informative, answered all my questions and even lead me from the airport ( 8 minutes ) in my rental car. The location was a small quiet residential neighborhood. I preferred the location because it was located about equidistance between the town of Oranjestad ( about 10 minutes) and Boca Grandi ( about 20 minutes). I primarily went to Aruba to Kite Surf ( at Boca Grandi) and this was the perfect place because in the morning ( and all day long) I would go ( via my rental car) to kite and in the evenings I would go to Oranjestad to hang out at starbucks for wi-fi, watch a movie, go to the casino, eat at various restaurants. I used the Winter Garden Super Market frequently, it was conveniently on my way to and from Boca and I ate at La Granja ( a peruvian restaurant with delicious chicken at a good price) often . I did not not get to snorkel/scuba Mango Halto ( which is just near by and where they do shore dives) but I did snorkel to the island across from the spanish lagoon. Make sure your a good swimmer and you are with someone ( I brought a raft, just in case) its pretty nice out there - clear water and lots of fish! Thanks again Mariza for letting me stay at your place! Regards, Dave

Great place to stay away from the hectic touristy areas. Desiree was so friendly and responsive prior to our arrival and during our stay. She was always available to answer any questions and provided us a cooler and beach chairs which came in super handy during our stay as we explored the island. Definitely recommend renting a car to get around. The apt is clean and compact, but enough space for 2 people. Equipped with a nice little kitchen and an outdoor area to sit as well. The animals were an extra added bonus! Wifi and AC worked all the time. Apt 1 has "tepid" water which was a minor concern before arrival, however after a couple mins in the shower the water warms up and was not an issue. Would recommend staying here for a casual, clean and relaxing place off the beaten path.
Theresa2017-04-02T00:00:00ZDesiree is wonderful and her grounds are that as well.
Natercia2017-02-12T00:00:00ZWe spent two days in Apt. 1, which was clean & cute. The air conditioning worked great and the kitchen was well stocked for preparing meals. There are a variety of pets on the premises for animal lovers and all are friendly. Although this was a fairly compact apartment, it was quite suitable for two adults. After all, most of our time was spent outside enjoying the beautiful island! Desiree was very accommodating and available to answer any questions we had. Thank you Desiree!
Karin2017-02-10T00:00:00ZGreat location outside the city and still close to everything! Grounds are beautiful and welcoming. Animals are a true highlight. Minor note that Room 1 does not have hot water but still a lovely space.
Natercia2017-02-08T00:00:00ZDesiree is a wonderful host. This was my first time in Aruba and I felt so safe and right at home. I loved all the cats and dogs running around, they were an added comfort. Everything you need is right here- toaster oven, shower, comfy bed, wifi, even a TV (although it was never turned on during my stay!) Desiree was always available if I needed anything. I would stay here again in a heartbeat. :)
Audrey2017-01-24T00:00:00ZThe cottage was very cozy and looks just like the photos. Desiree was kind to leave us breakfast supplies. We had everything we needed and she was quick to respond if we had any questions.
Kate2017-01-17T00:00:00ZGreat place and Desireè is a fantastic host! If we come back to Aruba, this is where we'll stay!
Mats2017-01-02T00:00:00ZDesiree's place is unique. It is private, well-designed, and located in a residential enclave in central Aruba. It is away from the hectic area of the hi-rises and close to authentic, off-the beaten track Aruba choices, such as Arikok National Park, Boca Grandi kite surfing, Mangel Halto beach and awesome reef and great restaurants on the water - Flying Fishbone and Zeerover. Desiree is very hospitable and friendly. I enjoyed my stay and will be back.

We stayed at Cheri's and Lester's place for two weeks and we were pleasantly surprised by the hospitality and the house itself. The house was perfect for us and our little daughter, it has everything you need and it's very comfortable and just 5 minutes by car far from beautiful baby beach, great beach for snorkeling and little kids. We went to the beach every day quite early, beach is amazing and no packed with tourists unlike the north. After a couple of days Cheri went on a travel so Lester was our main host. He recommended excellent restaurants around, we visited them all! (Rum reef, Zee rovers, Kamini, flying fishbone, O'Neil) we also had the pleasure to see Lester performing at Bugaloe, what a blast!! We all danced to their fun music and we had a great evening on the pear, great band and great vibes. It was nice to always come back "home" after our adventures. Even the doggies (Suzanne and Charlotte) felt like they knew us for ever! San Nicolas gives you a nice and close experience of real Aruba, and it has everything you need. In summary, we left Aruba with the feeling we want to come back again (and soon!) and hopefully to Cheri's and Lester's place. Thank you guys! Missing Aruba so badly!!! Mary, Dennis & Gabriela (greetings from Holland!)
Maria2017-05-05T00:00:00ZIf you want a true Aruban local experience and live relaxing this is your place! Cherie and Lester are the best hosts we have ever experienced! Their place is minutes from Bany Beach and we were able to explore Aruba from a much less tourist aspect. I would recommend the Babay Beach house to anyone and can't wait to come back!!
Meredith2017-04-05T00:00:00ZCherie's place is exactly what I expected from the description and previous reviews! It was clean, private, and quiet. The rooms get hot, but if you open the doors and let be fans run, it's more comfortable and there is a great A/C In each room to use if really needed. The kitchen was fully stocked as was the beach collection of water shoes, snorkel gear, towels, floaties, coolers, etc. we went to see Lester's band play one night which was incredibly fun! The local dogs are around and are the sweetest and friendliest bunch--they followed us on a run down to bachelors beach! We rented a car that was safe in the neighborhood for our 5-day stay--at no point did we feel unsafe walking around. The area was very quiet and remote. Overall, an excellent place to stay! It was the first trip my parents did staying at an Airbnb and they said they would do it again!
Olindi2017-03-29T00:00:00ZThe 2 bedroom apartment was wonderful, we only used the master bedroom. It had a private entrance, large living room with a tv and nice spacious and easy kitchen with a good fridge and freezer. The bathroom was brand new and the shower was fantastic. Lot's of windows and a constant breeze, we didn't need the A/C, but it was available if we did. We really enjoyed exploring the "true" Aruba in the south before we went north. It has great beaches, both with and without waves and the history of the Lagos Community (find it on a (SENSITIVE CONTENTS HIDDEN) page) is really interesting. Local supermarkets were less expensive to buy food and liquor before going to the hotel zone. Cherie helps with restaurant and nightclub suggestions. We were really glad we got to spend 2 nights there.
Thomas2017-03-14T00:00:00ZMy husband and I just recently spent 4 nights at Lester and Cherie's place and I wish we could have stayed longer. We were going to Aruba for a dual purpose, one for my friends wedding in Palm beach and two for a delayed honeymoon. We knew we did not want to be staying in the high rise area the whole time and wanted something away from all the tourists which is exactly what we got by staying at Baby beach at Lester and Cherie's. They were minutes away from the beach and some other cool sites and local restaurants! We rented a car and recommend others do the same thing if you want to go elsewhere on the island. It takes about an hour from one side of the island to the other. Like others have said you could have as little or as much interaction with Lester and Cherie, they are really great hosts with a lot of good recommendations on things to do and places to eat. Cherie and Lester are very accommodating, if you need something just ask! The apartment was way better than what we were expecting and had everything we needed and more for our stay. They have a fully equipped kitchen, linens for the bedrooms , breakfast stools, chairs and a couch in the main room, two bathrooms with toiletries, a patio with outdoor shower and an upper deck to hang out on a watch the stars. They also have a beach supply cabinet outside with things like snorkel equipment, beach mats, beach towels, chairs, coolers, a canopy, (URL HIDDEN) use during your stay. They have the sweetest dogs that will become your new best friends and if you are lucky the donkeys will come around and you can feed them right out of your hand. Lester is also in a local band Joyride and they are really good! We went and saw them a couple of times during our stay in Aruba and it was a great time each time! I can't say enough good things about staying at Lester and Cherie's. I will recommend anyone I know going to Aruba to stay at their place, there will be no regrets other than not staying there longer!
Becky2017-03-12T00:00:00ZCherie and Lester were amazing hosts! They had great local info that made our trip amazing with a local feel which is exactly what we were looking for. The place is located in a secluded area away from the touristy areas which is exactly what we wanted. It's well equipped with everything you need and the beach cabinet was very handy! We used the coolers, chairs and snorkel gear every day! Baby Beach is within walking distance or a short drive away and was amazing. Cherie and Lester gave us space when we wanted it, but were always there to give us advice on where to go or what to do and were very welcoming. They took us out for a night with their friends to see Lester and his band play at a local bar which was great fun! You won't be disappointed if you stay at Cherie's!!
Adam2017-03-09T00:00:00ZIf you want to experience the real Aruba this is the place to do it. The accommodations are exactly what they are advertised to be. Cherie and Lester will make you feel like family and be as involved as you want. This side of Aruba is so often missed and is truly a unique gem. The house comes with everything you might need and if something is overlooked or there is a question your hosts are right there to help. One suggestion...bring your own sunscreen, it is quite expensive here and something you cannot go without. Plan a trip to the grocery store early on so you can relax and enjoy the stay.
Ed2017-02-28T00:00:00ZCherie, Lester, and the dogs are great hosts. They made me feel like I was a friend staying in their home. The location was very convenient (7 min.) to Boca Grandi Beach where I kiteboarded 12/14 days. Boca lived up to it's billing as one of the most consistently windy places in the the world.

Jan's house was wonderful, he was off island but responded to every text and his care takers were available all the time. The house is very comfortable and the resident cat was enjoyed by the teenagers
Mary Beth2017-04-21T00:00:00ZWhat we have had a great stay! It was lovely in the house with all the possibilities. A beautiful pool with lovely beds to float on the water. We have used a lot of the barbecue. John picked us up from the airport and taken away again. We felt really welcome. Definitely recommended for anyone who wants to visit Aruba!
Leila2017-04-07T00:00:00ZA great home for family who would not like to stay at a resort. Close to all beaches and restaurants. Not for people who may be scared of bugs or need of hot showers, after all you are experiencing island life. House is equip with all needs for homecooking and beach necessities. It is very spacious, Jan is very quick to respond. Also it is nice being able to rent a vehicle directly from him. He was nice to pick us up from airport and arrange a taxi for our return.
Lilly2017-03-09T00:00:00ZJust came back from a beautiful one week vacation. The house was a delightful surprise looking lot better than the online pictures and all the appliances are in perfect condition. Jan is the perfect host very knowledgeable and always willing to help. Just let him know how you wish to spend your vacation and he will point you to the right direction. Zeerover Restaurant is a an absolute must if you are not into fancy places, very cozy with nice atmosphere and good prices. Tip try to find a table on the deck by the water you will be in for some pleasant surprise especially at dawn! Thank you Jan once again for making our Arubian experience a memorable one! Hope to come back soon!
Daniela2017-02-25T00:00:00ZWe thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Jan's rental. Communication with Jan was easy right from the time we made our reservation through to the end of our stay. He was an excellent host; picked us up from the airport, took us on a tour to show us local points of interest and helped us call a taxi when we needed one for an evening out. We rented the SUV for our stay and highly recommend other visitors do the same. We were able to explore parts of the island we otherwise wouldn't have been able to. Jan provided an additional Collision Damage Waiver insurance which was appreciated. The rental was exactly as pictured. The backyard pool is a really nice treat after a hot day exploring the island. Insider tip (not necessarily related to the rental): if you're really sensitive to bug bites make sure you bring some bug spray. There are some bugs that come out in the evening. Overall we would highly recommend staying with Jan!
Heather2017-02-18T00:00:00ZWe had an amazing stay at this guesthouse. Jan was an amazing host and we had absolutely everything we needed. The house was beautiful and clean and the pool was fantastic! I would definitely recommend this house to a family or couples travelling together.
Rachel2017-02-12T00:00:00ZWow does not cover it. Jan's house is a welcoming, beautiful, roomy and comfortable. The backyard is great addition to your trip. From the ideal pool for the kids to that outside late drink. The house hosted a family of 7 with room to spare. It was equiped with everything we needed to prepare meals and was a small drive away to nice restaurants and souvenir stores etc... We had an amazing time in Aruba. Jan is a great host, he picked us up from our one night stay at the hotel and brought us back to the airport on our last day. He also rented his Ford Explorer 7 passenger for 3 days during our stay. The price was super affordable compared to rental place. The truck was in great condition and drives smooth. Thanks for everything Jan.
Alain2017-02-04T00:00:00ZThe house is lovely, comfortable and had everything we needed. We also rented the car and we've definitely made the right choice. Jan is a great and experienced host, communication was excelent. We enjoyed Aruba and our stay at Jan's.

Was a nice place Have to supply your own garbage bags, toilet paper, all shampoo, and soaps. You have to be very careful not to exceed the 50$ limit of hydro. There was no laundry detergent Nobody comes in mid week to clean, or change the sheets. Very close to the beach Frank is responding very quickly to your questions. All in all a good time.
Paul2017-04-23T00:00:00ZFrank place is very nice for have a trip family or with friends. Nearby to Palm Beach area, close to some hotels, restaurants, some malls. A small grocery shop in the corner, bus stop in case you are not rent a car. Very clean place and facility allows perfect 8 people very well accommodated. I can recommend this place if you think to stay in Aruba soon.
Fernando2017-04-16T00:00:00ZGreat experience at Merlot Villas. Would love to go back with my friends!
Jose2017-03-12T00:00:00ZVery fast and responsive host who helped us out with a last minute reservation when we had issues with another accommodation. The villa is very spacious and good for hosting several families. Close to all resorts and the beach.
Meagan2016-11-26T00:00:00ZThe listing is very accurate and the villa is very beautiful. It is clear to see that the villa is well maintained. Communication from initial booking to check out was consistent. Unfortunately we were unable to use to dishwasher because it was INOP, however Ivan did offer to have the housekeeper clean our dishes. The gesture was very nice but we declined. Also, if you are there on a day when the pool is cleaned, please do not go in until the next day. We were advised to wait 1.5 hours and we waited at least 3 hours, but our bathing suits were ruined as if we had just bleached them. Oh well! Based on our overall experience in Aruba, it's not on our lists of Islands to revist, however I do highly suggest renting this beautiful villa as an alternative to a hotel. :)
Teka2016-11-13T00:00:00ZFrank was very helpful and explained all of the things pertinent to the stay. The place itself was a great alternative to the hotel; I think renting a car is a must if you want to explore the island a bit more. There is also a minimart 30 seconds from the villa which was extremely convenient. Overall a great experience and had so much fun in Aruba.
Youn-Hoa2016-08-06T00:00:00ZOur host was very welcoming, and responded to questions very rapidly!
