Beautiful location high on a penisula where you can look out over the water and watch the fishermen paddle in and out. It is quiet, and you can sometimes hear the fishermen sing as they paddle. The facility is beautiful, with a lovely outdoor garden-patio which is amazing. The host Andi (who does not live on site) and the on-site co-host were the most helpful AirBnB hosts I have ever encountered. It is a 7 minute walk to the nearest restaraunt (at a lodge), but we typically took a taxi to more distant locations and sites. Our cohost would cheerfully call for a taxi for us in order to communicate accurately in Kinyarwanda. Eggs, fruit, toast with jam, and coffee/tea are provided. Kitchen is nice and cooking full meals is an option. The hosts can happily arrange boat trips either with a local boat operator or using Andi's super-comfortable house boat-both at a very fair price (cash only). Pre-arrival communicaton was outstanding.

A great place to stop if you're enjoying a trip to Lake Kivu. Hervé was a very friendly and accommodating host. The house was clean and minimalist.

Si vous êtes a la recherche d'un endroit calme, paisible, pour vous reconnecter à la nature c'est l'endroit idéal. Vous aurez la possibilité de faire de grandes balades ou de vous baignez très facilement. Brigitte étant très active dans le village, la population locale est autant acceuillante qu'elle. Je suis arrivée un peu tard, Brigitte avait facilité mon arrivé et m'avait même laissé de quoi petit déjeuner le matin. Ça a été une jolie arrivée en douceur. Donc en résumé un cadre très agréable et une hôte très accueillante, je recommande cet endroit sans hésiter.

excellent hôtel, très paisible. le personnel est très accueillant et amical. le restaurant est délicieux! les activités proposées par l'hôtel sont intéressantes. je recommande pour une douce parenthèse loin de Kigali.

this house by the lake is an excellent choice for anyone looking to escape the hustle and bustle of everyday life. With its beautiful surroundings, comfortable accommodations, and ample activities available nearby. While there may be minor areas for improvement—such as updating some furnishings—the overall experience remains delightful.

Staying in this lovely village with Mama Emilienne was our best and most authentic Rwandan experience, truly local experiences with lovely people of the village. She's the heart of the village and we had a chance to participate in their annual celebration for kids and see their performance and talents. we've been offered great coffee, variety of locally grown fruits and veggies and tasty dishes cooked with local ingredients even rabbit from the village. the village and the villa are both stunning and peaceful, you'll have a bird symphony every morning... Thanks to Inosa, Marta and Cynthia as well for taking good care of us.
