House vacation rentals in Roa Island

We had an amazing stay! The cottage was just as described and in the perfect location so we hardly had to use the car at all and were able to walk to Windermere, Bowness and Brockhole with our two girls ( 13 and 8). The use of the nearby pool was an added bonus after a day in the mountains. We’ll definitely be back! 😀

This place was beyond our expectations. Immaculately presented, super clean, tidy, jaw dropping views. I can't fault it in any way and I can't rate it highly enough. Will definately look to return in the future. Stunning!

Absolutely gorgeous place. We loved being on the lake and and having access to it. Vanessa gave loads of recommendations and communicated well. Pictures matched the place. Wouldn't hesitate going back.

What can I say, we had a lovely stay and would highly recommend. Jackie is an amazing host and could not be more accommodating and helpful. The caravan was so lovely and homely. Extremely clean with everything we could possibly need as a home from home. The beds were comfortable and we all had good nights sleep. Thank you so much for letting us stay.

House was as described, beautiful setting with wonderful views of the hills and mountains. Rooms are spacious with comfy beds and bathrooms are nicely finished with good showers. Kitchen is a good size and has all required implements. A great location for exploring the central lakes and soaking up all that Ambleside has to offer.

Our family had a lovely stay at Burrowbank at the end of the summer holiday. The house is fantastic with all the facilities you could ask for. The kids loved the swings and most of all the pool, while the covered (heated) BBQ area meant evening meals outside watching the sunset. Great location and setting, very private and we would definitely come again and recommend to others. Martyn and Christine were very helpful and went the extra mile (even posting my daughter’s disposable camera that she left behind). Can’t think of any negatives and we made some great/happy memories.

Absolutely Amazing few days Everything you need and more for a perfect stay. could have easily stayed longer. Delanie is just the Best Host, the Welcome Hamper was Amazing and very well thought out 🤩 Managed a day trip to Blackpool only 30mins away, but the Grandchildren were eager to get back to the Pool and Pool table 😃 We will be back 👍

We loved our stay here! The view of the lake and mountains from the living room was absolutely gorgeous and the location was perfect for exploring all of the Lake District. The whole house was absolutely spotless and the kitchen had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. I was a little bit nervous that the home would be cold due to the energy saving measures but it was nice and toasty and comfortable all week! If we come back to the area we would definitely stay here again!!

Just an awesome place and felt very spoilt. Loved it!

The house is in a beautiful, peaceful location perfect for walking in the area. The kitchen very well equipped, comfortable bedrooms. The views from the lounge and the patio are absolutely stunning. The furnishings are a little sparse in the lounge also the stove is difficult to operate ( we did not manage) but overall we had a great time and we would highly recommend this place.

Lovely cottage in gorgeous Chapel Stile. A perfect base for walking the Langdale Pikes - my young boys want to do all the Wainwrights now(!). Thank you for the hospitality.

Me and my girlfriend stayed here for a few days. The cottage was absolutely lovely and super clean with a great selection of appliances and facilities. Louise was very easy to communicate with and very kind. We would definitely recommend!

What a wonderful place to stay whilst visiting the Lake District. The place was beautiful and situated just right for our sightseeing. We would definitely consider booking again when we’re next in the Uk and in the area.

Beautiful cottage and grounds sat right next to Ullswater lake. From the cottage front door down to the lake is less than a 2 mins walk down the hill. However the property remains private and secluded within the beautiful gardens and stream on the property. As a group of 7, we really enjoyed cooking and eating on the property, which has a beautiful kitchen as well as the option of two different of outdoor cooking areas (the Argentinian bbq was put to use and being next to the outdoor dining area was a great place to spend the evening and socialise/unwind after a long day of hiking) The sauna and cold plunge helped to soothe and restore tired and achy leg muscles

Exactly like the photos! Felt very comfortable as soon as we walked in, felt like home, the kitchen had everything you could need. Beautifully furnished and spotless. Outside space was amazing, with lots of seating for relaxing and eating! Local restaurants within walking distance, don't forget your torches... Definitely worth the money, would stay again, in a heartbeat 💓 10 out of 10 Karen x

I stayed at the cottage for 3 nights whilst working in the area. I found the cottage and area really peaceful and the cottage beautiful. It was lovely to sit out and relax in the private courtyard and after long days at work the bed was very much appreciated, it was so comfy. I would definately recommend and hope to visit again some time

We had a wonderful few days at Winkley Hall Farm. Fantastic property in a wonderful, peaceful location with everything you need for a relaxing, long weekend break. Our communication with our hosts was great from the moment we booked, to arrival and throughout our stay. And the lovely welcome gift was an added surprise and greatly appreciated! We were sad to leave and would definitely recommend this property, and will look to return at some point in the future.

Beautiful cottage, lovely surroundings to start our married life! Hot tub appreciated! Easy to get to Keswick too for shopping, food, and exploration. Welcoming bits left for us in cottage appreciated too!

Absolutely loved staying at Henry’s cottage, Natalia was very helpful fast responding and lovely 🥰 We stayed the night for my partners birthday asked Natalia if she could put banner & balloons up she did everything I asked for thank you so much ☺️ 5 star ⭐️ So clean & Tidy we will be back xxx

Jonathans place is easy to find with good street parking, with a big tesco and a pub in walking distance. Jonathan was happy to provide a local recommendation for a specific shop we needed. Beautiful sunset view from the beach, which is really really really long at low tide and really shallow, great for kids.
