How to share some basics about your place

Let guests know how many people can comfortably stay in your home.

Guests want to know how big your place is. Help them decide if it meets their needs by sharing your guest maximum and the total number of beds, bedrooms, and bathrooms available.

If you’re not sure, try these tips:

  • Set a guest maximum you feel good about. Just because your place can sleep a certain number of people doesn’t mean you have to accommodate that many guests.
  • Count the number of beds you have. Consider how many people can comfortably sleep in each one.
  • Count the number of bathrooms you have. Half bathrooms have a toilet and sink but no shower or tub.
  • Don’t make assumptions. For example, 2 people traveling together may not plan to share a bed.
  • Avoid surprising guests. If your bed count includes any casual sleeping arrangements—like couches, futons, or air mattresses—be sure to mention this when you add your listing description and photo captions.

Use the plus and minus buttons to set your guest maximum and to note how many bedrooms, beds, and bathrooms are available.

You’ll be able to add more details about each room after you publish your listing.
